The male lead in both drama give similar vibe. They are both reserved and very quiet. And got attached to their female leads

While the plot in both is not that similar, both stories give you the same warm feeling at the end. Both are pretty true to the queer experience, and they both include symbolism through art. While The Eighth Sense had more episodes and side stories, they both seemed to truly understand how it feels not only to pine for someone but how it is to do so while queer. I highly recommend watching both of these stories, especially if you enjoyed one of them already.

both are romcoms with similar kind of humour although wfbkj is a lot toned down compared to lr.

Hyperknife and Dr. Brain are both about neurosurgery and have dark, thrilling vibes, they’re actually quite different in their approach. Hyperknife is more grounded and dramatic it focuses on a disgraced neurosurgeon doing illegal surgeries and getting caught up in revenge and hospital politics. On the other hand, Dr. Brain has a more sci-fi feel. It’s about a brain scientist who starts syncing with the memories of the dead to solve a mystery, which leads to emotional and psychological chaos. So, while both are intense, Hyperknife is more about revenge and crime in a medical setting, and Dr. Brain is more about exploring the mind and emotions through science.

Both of these dramas have an Idol healing plot.
In Castaway Diva, the female lead uses her innocence and the life lessons she had learned from being isolated on an island for 15 years to heal various characters in the music industry.
The Heavenly Idol is a fantasy plot where a priest from another dimension uses his morality and empathy to emotionally heal members of a boy band (and sometimes using his divine powers to physically heal others).
The Heavenly Idol's story is much more satisfying and fun, while featuring much more interesting and likeable characters.

Both are Taiwanese BL dramas with a haters turned lovers type of storyline with both guys in the main couple having contrasting personalities. The plots of both have some lighthearted moments that is not too serious.

Both has similar undertones littered with crimes and connection between characters, both in past and present.
