Duo solving crimes together, often at odds due to their differing methodology (one follows rules but still tenacious and the other jumps straight into action without thinking things through).

Both shows have famous living for a few days in a routine different from what they are used to. They have a similar fun feeling, but the similarity ends there. While in My Name is Gabriel, they live someone else’s life, Rented in Finland is more like an unusual vacation.

Both "The Scarlet Letter" (2004) and "Scarlet Innocence" (2014) are Korean erotic thrillers that explore complex emotional relationships and the darker sides of human nature. They both revolve around themes of infidelity and deception. "The Scarlet Letter" follows a detective who leads a double life with his wife and mistress, while "Scarlet Innocence" involves a university professor who has an affair with a small-town woman, leading to tragic consequences. Additionally, both films contain explicit sexual content and explore eroticism. The characters in both movies are complex and morally ambiguous. Lastly, both films received critical acclaim but also sparked controversy due to their explicit content.

Better Days and Us and Them are emotionally both charged films featuring Zhou Dongyu in leading roles, while Better Days is a poignant and incredibly touching story of survival, sacrifice, and resilience, Us and Them is a melancholic reflection on love lost and the weight of time. Better Days is a hard-hitting social drama, whereas Us and Them is a poetic reflection on love and loss.

If you liked Heartbeat you will definitely like this drama too. The story is very similar, although the main character is not a vampire but a goblin.
Plot:
Kim Sin was once an unbeatable general in Goryeo's military who died tragically. He now possesses immortality but is tired of living while everyone else around him dies. For 900 years, Kim Sin has searched for his bride, a mortal who can pull out the sword and end his life.
One day, he encounters Ji Eun Tak, a positive, upbeat high school student who can see the dead and has gone through tragic events yet still stays strong. She claims to be the Goblin's bride who can end his immortal life, but what appears to be an easy task only gets complicated as the two fall in love.

Both dramas are set in the Ming dynasty and are focused on the "small folk" (notably constables, prostitutes).
Ripe Town is a short series that revolves around a single case, while Under the Moonlight is a longer series that feature 10 different cases.

Both dramas share some cast members, including a child actor Yu Yao who plays a tragic character in Ripe Town but shines with his comedic delivery in Under the Moonlight.

The story in Ripe Town doesn't have a romantic storyline while Under the Moonlight features a love triangle (but this drama is one of the rare cases where it's done well)

Overall, Ripe Town has better cinematography and tighter writing but Under the Moonlight, despite being a lower budget project, punches way above its weight.
