gay, workplace setting, funny, dramatic towards the ending, jealousy scene i guess, 8 episodes, rewatch material, unfortunately doesnt have Holland
Both shows deal with emotional themes such as love, loss, and regret, and both have moments of heartbreak and sadness as well as moments of joy and happiness.
Although very different in the portrayal of romance I find these two dramas carry a similar vibe in terms of ML/FL connection as well as story telling.
The older ML that is somewhat a loner who isn’t an open book, brightens by the presence of the much younger FL that is filled with a youthful, optimistic desire for life.
In "My Treasure“ the relationship is that of close mentor/mentee and ultimately romance with many glances and little things to pick up on, whereas "The Forbidden Flower" is a sensual, sometimes steamy and almost poetic love story.
In both Dramas the mother/daughter relationship is also important, although it takes a more prominent place in My Treasure.

Both are Wuxia with a huge cast, beautiful fighting scenes and mysteries of the past.
In both series the side characters have interesting background stories and romances.
They also have some actors in common, like He Zhong Hua, Bai Shu and Cao Yu Chen.
other similarities:
- FLs with great fighting ability and confidence
-MLs with great fighting skill and strategic thinking
-involving the royal court
-involving different sects/organizations

Both dramas start with embarrassing meet-cute encounters between a Hi-So woman and the son of a family farm, which leads to the them having a fake contractual marriage with the son of the family farm for mutual benefit, due to their family situations. In both dramas the hi-so women have to adapt to farm life and work while dealing with the sons who have lost their first loves in car accidents, which has made them slightly cold and indifferent to women.
Both have Hi-So women hiding in the Isaan countryside on a family farm, posing as the lover of the family farm son in order to escape from someone who wants to kill them. They both have to adapt to countryside life, culture and language while being protected by their fake lovers.
Both are historical mini dramas in which the leads solve bizarre cases and mysteries. In MI the cases are supernatural, whereas in MTOC they're thought to be supernatural but are not.
Both FLs are being treated by doctors through VR and enter into a fake world. They must regain their memories or come to terms with their past in order to return to the real world.
Both dramas revolve around VR and at some point in both the characters must find their way out of the fake world.
Since there is military drama and romance in the air we are apprehensive watching it as we know deep down that we will like and become attached to the characters. 'My dear Guardian' is no different. I hope that by watching you find peace and balance in your emotions and try to calm your inner self by understanding the message that the plot wants to convey. It's a beautiful drama and my favorite to date.
Both are korean productions set in a university setting, they cover first time relationship experiences of a freshman lead, and have an independent film quality to them.
Mia 2018 is the remake of the almost decade old Taiwanese drama The Fierce Wife (2010).
Same story with a modern retouch and worldview.
-husband cheats with wife cousin and in the process finds herself and her dreams.
-The Fierce Wife is more emotionally heartbreaking and high on melodrama with a lot of family drama and introspection by the characters.
- Mia tones it down and changes a few of the FL's attributes.

Surfing is the common theme between both stories, since both of them have main characters who are surfers. Both of them are also beautiful LGBTQ+ stories about love between two young men and the complications of falling in love with someone from the same gender.
May not be too similar Road Home but ML and FML had history of youth first encounter then separated later, then in their adult life became professionals and fell in love. I liked their love in this drama, one a doctor and the other is a lawyer.
-period drama
-FL is also an entertainer who faces prejudice
-strong willed FL who rises from nothing to become patriarch of the family business
-ML falls for the FL but she is not interested. This is a super slow romance
