Both "Black: I Saw the Devil" and "Through the Darkness" are about criminal profiling. They analyse several cases to better understand the mind of the criminal.
However, "Black" is not a drama, but a TV show.
The methods they work with are also different. In Through the Darkness the profiler analyses the criminals mainly by interviewing them. While in Black they analyse letters from the criminals, past interviews and reenactments of the cases.

Both involve young woman love of art/music. Struggle so much in life. Touch of romance. . True story

Both are true story about a young talented man/woman struggle with life. Amazing voice. Heart warming movie

Both have a male lead which is calm, composed and thinking.. his counterpart is a female who likes to fix her problems by fighting since childhood and enjoys it.

The female lead is an ordinary person who fix her problems by fighting the people who made the injustice. Both females were raised into fighting arts.

Sora Kara is darker story than Misa but these dramas gives a similar vibes.

It's a slow romance between two ordinary people:

-the man has a dream about running his business and it's idealistic about it;
- female lead is good at fights...
-the secondary leads are chaeboul or + a rich celebrities
- a couple of strange friends and a gang of guys + gals who befriend them..

Street fights and ordinary business problems... Rich obnoxious parents.

This is another GMMTV series with prostitution, murder, striptease-club hostess female lead, and a trio of two guys and one girl working together.

First and foremost: IM NOT RECOMMENDING TO LIVE ACTION MOVIE... no. I'm actually recommending the 2016 anime, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (its obviously NOT on this database, so I've settled for this.)
- Both are Japanese pieces of media
- they are both adapted from a manga!
- Both MC's have similiar personalities and attitude...
- Very blunt and uninterested by drama (and people) but somehow manage to be in the center of it all and never be left alone
- both of them are generally uninterested in the concept of love/romance
- Kunou Totonou is really smart/perceptive, while Saiki is VERY powerful and even with such power getting thru day to day life is... HARD.
- Both MC's are students, Saiki is a high school student while Kunou Totonou is a college student
- Idk about most viewers but i really like the comedy in Mystery to Iunakare and lucky for us... Saiki K is a slice of life COMEDY anime!
- they both have a deep love for a certain food... for Saiki its coffee jelly while Kunou Totonou loves curry!
There are probably more similarities but I'll stop ... as for differences:
- Mystery to Iunakare is obviously not an anime, and actually Mystery and Psychological genre so of course the two shows will have different tones/feels (?)
- Mystery to Iunakare is more mature and deals with concepts like dying killing and hostage situations. Nothing too graphic or scary but i can understand why someone would be put off by it.

BH is basically a darker version of QLAW, both about a childhood meeting between the prince and a noble girl, his determination to select her as his queen, and the palace scheming, intrigue, and assassinations that result in the FL losing her family and living a commoner's life before eventually ending up as the queen. The love/hate relationship between the main couple is similar, as is the FL's personality.

Similarities

- In both the dramas, FL handles the PR of the ML
- Both ML are celebrities
- The chemistry between FL and ML is sweet, fluffy and cute

Both dramas are sort of a gender flipped variation of each other with the same concepts: a FL who was supposed to have been killed at birth because she was born a twin but survives, twins who get mistaken for each other, one ends up murdered and the other stepping into their place, mistaken/unknown identities, assassination attempts and scheming within the palace, a childhood meeting between the main couple that the ML or both never forget even as an adult, and a happy ending outside of the palace.

Both are historical dramas in which the young king falls in love with a noble girl he meets in childhood, but tragedy causes her to end up losing her family and living a commoner life, while he never forgets her and continues to search for her, finally finding her as an adult. Both dramas feature memory loss (ML vs. FL), an assassination attempt on the king in which he is initially believed dead, and scheming within the palace.

With the trailer being recently released, it reminded me a lot of one of my favorite dramas, Killer and Healer (2021)
- Period piece (K&H takes place in Chinese Republican era)
- Both take place in China
- Similar relationship dynamic, one of them gets hurt while the other is the one who heals them and provides them solace
As of now, i know nothing about this drama and won't be tuning in BUT do know that Killer and Healer is censored gay romance as it is from China!
