Both series are Kamen Rider series that have Takuro Fukuda as the head screenwriter.

In both series, there is an other-dimensional world, which creates situation in which the heroes are needed. At some point, there is also a race/purpose to gathering the henshin items (eyecons and ridebooks/seikens).

There is a crossover series between the two series.

Both is a modern romance with older woman and a younger male. Both shows tackle societie's views on older (30+) single women, and the pressures they face in finding love. Whether they should choose between older man (who is more widely accepted) or follow their heart.

This drama reminds of me the Chinese drama titled My Heroic Husband because it is also full of cliches about double standards and misogyny (e.g. the academy of male virtuousness), but the cliches are not as obviously presented like it is in this drama.

The only thing they have in common is the piano, but despite that I would recommend watching do do sol la la sol. DYLB is about unrequited love by the MC's. The classical pieces in DYLB are amazing. DDSSLLS is about a carefree pianist who has to go into the world on her own after an unfortunate event and the situations she then encounters.

Both are about dedicated teachers with a unique personality. They care deeply about their students and try to help them in various ways. The episodes follow individual backgrounds of the students in his class, and deal with subjects like bullying, false accusations of sexual harrassment by a student, and family issues, etc.

They're both about a team of rescue workers/first responders. The team of Tears on Fire is made of firefighters and EMTs, while the team of Emergency Rescue is made of a civilian rescue group.

Tears on Fire is very grounded in reality while Emergency Rescue is a bit more positive and optimistic.

Both dramas feature people being sometimes mean or unappreciative to rescue workers (Tears on Fire more so).

Both dramas feature family problems caused by the job, such as families of rescue workers feeling abandoned because their loved ones are always on the job, or fearing for their loved ones' lives.
