These two dramas have similar story lines. Both of these have female leads that time travel from modern day to ancient times and turn into cats. Both have to find a stone/jade before going back or break the spell.
Both shows are lighthearted, take place in a high-school setting, and are by the same writer (Keiichi Hasegawa).
Friendship, baseball, comedy. If you're tired of romance & heavy genre, this is for you. More like a country childhood boys goofing around & play sports
Similar vibe. Basketball, friendship, friendnemy & romance. Journey of young boys in sports. I've my eyes on one the ace but unfortunately he's not an actual actor but an actual sportsman
Comedy & sports & bromance. If you're tired of melo&romance, this friendship journey will brighten your day
Similarities between these two dramas so far include: Jang Ki Yong, a forbidden romance, and serial killing.
Both of these dramas give me similar vibes and I love both of them. The female leads are quite similar in terms of personality and fashion style. The male leads are both the CEO of a company as well. Both dramas are more of a light-hearted drama about romance-comedy. The most important is that their chemistry is on point! There's more similarities but I can't think of anymore right now.
I don't know why but they give me the same vibes for some reason. They're both obviously rom-coms and although Tale of Nokdu is a historical drama it takes a really unique twist to it which makes it feel more modern. I know this explanation sucks, but I promise you won't regret watching The Tale of Nokdu, the best explanation I can give for why I think you'll like this if you liked Extraordinary You is that I felt the same utter adoration and fuzzy feels for both dramas.
Both have Kim Jaewook as one of the main leads where their character is a PRO at their particular field. Also both use a filming style of having hyper stylized scenes, often where a character is imaging things/day dreaming. Antique is a little bit darker in theme/topic but both have light hearted moments and have characters who learn to open up to others and trust a bit, especially when it comes to confronting their past and their traumas. OH! and they are both fairly LGTBQ+ positive. In Antique there is a gay main character and in Her Private Life there is a situation in which a character is misunderstood as being in a gay relationship and the main character is supportive about it and even though they laugh about it later its never looked down on!
Similar characters, similar suspense in storyline, even similar way of storytelling and most importantly - the chemistry between the leads, great fighting each other, even greater fighting together. Overall same vibe
If you like adventures and unconventional historical dramas mixed with lots of humour, Joy of Life does it on a more polished scale with a much larger budget. Both have a super strong, talented lead.
Both the shows are by the same producer, and have similar gentle, comforting vibes. I loved the cast in both shows, and hope to find similar ones soon!
both movies have a similar feel to me. Both movies play at night and have a more 'serious' tone and both dont really have much bgm. They also have sexual elements and most of rhe main characters are gay men.
