Both have (very) smart male leads. That's about it, but they have a similar.. atmosphere you could say.
Both are costume dramas about intrigues, ambitions and scheming between princes at the royal court where people look for power, justice and revenge. Both have typical Chinese ending (I'd call it 'Chinese nationhood wins'). Both have beautiful visuals and very good acting. Rise of Phoenixes is a little bit more slow but has a real female lead and more romance.
Both series have partly same historical characters. But the biopic Jeong Do Jeon is not so explosive.
Both series take place in Joseon and deal with the royal family and dark supernatural elements that are used for political purposes.
Both have similarities regarding war tension and north korea . Both films gave same feeling and suspense through the whole time.
Has the similar 'Friends To Lovers' theme but is the best version of this I have seen. There is interesting direction and the characters are fantastic.
both female lead think the male lead is using her
In both lakorn, it's the female lead's family who want her to marry him
Both man lead are overkind and want to win the female lead's heart
both female lead are from rich family and male lead are from ordinary family

The Korean version is the remake of the Japanese movie. Therefore, they have the same storyline.
Not really, the plot is pretty much the same but the K-drama feels cheesy somehow.
At first, I watched the K-drama (in 2017) and I loved it. But as I watched the original Japanese movie (2013 version), I felt that original is always better. As much as I liked the leading man in the K-drama, the leading man in the J-movie is much more intense, charming and charismatic. The personality of the leading man in the K-drama did not quite convey that aura. Not sure, maybe because its a drama and they had to make it long somehow to make it interesting...
I just liked the J-movie more. But for sure, watch both. Why not.

They are completely different stories, but the feels of both the female leads (FLs) are the same, that they both sing in a band and have great voices.
They both perform in front of a big crowd, that is why I got the same feels. The songs on both of the movies are great too.
The leading men are also both handsome and has a lot of charm. If you like movies with music on it, watch both movies.

Dramas about grown women with interest that seems trivial and unseemly to most people. In Tokusatsu Gagaga the main character is a great fan of tokusatsu shows, while in Kuragehime the female lead is a jellyfish nerd.
Both actors are a part of this 2 Moons. If you feel incomplete after watching this, you might as well watch 2 Moons (although you may also be disappointed there.) Just watch the two act in the same screen space .
In they both girl changes the boy, both starts from hate and change in to love.in something about 1 percent is look simple story, due to lack of strong male and female leads but Cinderella and four knights have strong leads
One of the main lead was dragged into a different world in a set of time and discover their love and difficulty. Set timeline in ancient and modern time.
Both female lead went into a different world/deminsion and found love along with their problems. Hate turns into love once both lead realizes themselves and their situation.
This movie is similar to this drama in transformating in another age.
In Chinese movie is old granny transformed to her 20 yo and in Korean drama is young woman suddenly old.
