Both follow the perspective of a nerdy male lead who has issues with dating.
Similar plot. A pregnant woman lose her husband and three guys take care of her.
The main character loses his memory and falls in love with the main girl but he has to return to his real life and love interest. Who will he choose?
Both these Japanese dramas are romantic comedy adaptations of popular mangas that focus around a school club. The same actors plays the male leads in both the dramal with both characters being over dramatic in their mannerisms, and fall in love with the female lead from the very beginning but is oblivious. The female characters though played by different actresses have the same personalties of being lonely school nerd until they meet the male lead and then they start to change. As well the girl is also completely oblivious towards her feeling for the male lead.
I found the two series relatively similar, the men are strong fighters, you cry your eyes out watching random scenes (either because you cringe for the bad acting or fangirl over touching that man's perfect body), as always the main girl is annoying, stubborn as a mule and won't take no for an answer. The perfect nosy woman that people like for no apparent reason.
The difference between the two of them is the fact that Suzy can't act and Jang Geun Suk is cutter than Lee Seung Gi.
Conclusion?! Just watch Hong Gil Dong it's actually much much better..

Both deal with a male lead who lost his love and child, blames a woman for it, falls for her while getting revenge. Secret is a little lighter on the abusive side.
Lady and the Liar and Pan Ruk Pan Rai are based off the same manga. They have similar plot lines and characters but Pan Ruk Pan Rai is a modern version while Lady and the Liar takes place in 1930's Shanghai
Both star So Ji Sub in romance/ revenge themes. Both have excellent stories and acting.
Both have a girl who disguises herself as a boy; in both you can find various ikemen; and both are incredibly hilarious while also having a romantic storyline. You'll also probably end up getting SLS (second lead syndrome) both times, so beware.
They both have that cross of action and romantic comedy. I kept thinking that Rain should have been casted for this part, though I loved Eric Mun.
Same female lead in both drama. Both similar stories where the male lead has an identity that the female lead has met. City Hunter is a little darker while Healer is a little lighter. Both have awesome OSTs and smoking hot leads.
Similar story of falling in love with a person with memory loss who regains memory later and so on.
This one has the male lead going through the memory loss

both portray the desperation of people hanging on the last thing they own.
This rec. is purely based on the actors; both Kagawa and Nishijima are in both doramas.
