This show is WOW! just Wow!.

From start to end your bounded on your seat(atleast me).
The Thriller,The Ride,The romance, the action this series has everything and thats why for me this is one of the best dramas out there!.

The Story is so well written that its almost impossible to write what actually happend in here. But it basicly comes down on fight over LAW and justice.

This Guy who can read peoples mind makes this series totally epic,Since he can see exxactly hear what the culprit is thinkin in his mind and know whether someone is guilty or not.

You will see that in some episodes someone has to deal with the Fact that the Killer is out there luring to attack you + you have to deal with your own personal life/work and cases. After each episode you will find yourself thinking whats next ? and before you know it you go to sleep the next morning without any breaks haha :D atleast that happend with me xD.I am so exxited from this drama that i wanna Spoil badly but i cant do that.I just tell you watch 1 episode or 2 and you wont be able to pull out anymore..! A MASTERPIECE! DESERVES AN 11!

JoongDunk chemistry never disappoints

Yes this was not perfect and the hidden agenda was not a big deal at all, I expected more. But I enjoyed this. It was a simple BL and I absolutely love JoongDunk, so I had to finish this. As always they look so good together with overflowing chemistry.

They improved a lot and the kissing scene were so much better than in star in my mind.

It was interesting the issues that were addressed with like the relationship with their families, the pressure…

I also like the second couple, wish we had seen more of them.

Don’t know why add this stupid problems in the last episode, Zo annoyed me here. Joke is such a good boyfriend, I didn’t like how Zo treated him sometimes. Also, it would have been interesting to explore more Joke story about his relationship with his family.

For me, it’s not as bad as people are saying it is, you don’t always need a big or complicated plot.

I began watching this movie because of Okada Masaki, an actor whom caught my attention by being brilliant in most of his roles (He has a minor role in this movie but still managed to get an acting nominee for best supporting role). What made me keep watching was the thrilling story, something I did not expect (I didn't even read the synopsis before I began watching), the dark feeling and the overall fantastic actors. One would not think that 37 middle school students can create such an atmosphere. The woman who played the main character, Takako Matsu, was amazing in her role. But, let me quote "let's not forget the amazing ensemble cast of young Japanese actors who ultimately steal the show from Matsu's cold as ice teacher with their riveting performances as existential youth gone wrong".

This masterpiece was completed by their use of Radiohead's Last Flowers.

All I can say is: "Watch and be amazed" because this will mess with you.

Fascinating Study of an Antihero Demon and the Heroic Immortal

Wow, this blew me away with how good it is so far even though I'm not a Xianxia die hard. This is no fluffy youth drama and even the romance is not really emphasized in the initial episodes. It's high budget with big name stars that live up to its expectations of an engaging storyline that is a complex character study of the ML. The relationship between the ML and FL is also complicated as she needs to save him to prevent future calamity even though he had harmed her immortal family and sect. The storyline, plotting, and pacing are done fairly well and my hope is the quality will be maintained for future episodes.

The initial episodes are dedicated to examining how the Antihero ML was bullied, was considered an outcast and a harbinger of bad omens. He is shunned and tossed off by his father who is the king of the Jing Kingdom and becomes a hostage prince in the Sheng Kingdom. I've seen the ML in Love like Ashes and he knocks his role out of the park with this one. He fits the Bryonic antihero character like a glove. His mannerisms and facial expressions reflecting the darkness, moodiness and the numbness from the betrayals and lack of love in his life. The morally grey leanings and his pale physical appearance of being emaciated paves the path for his eventual rise to become the Demon Lord. I've also been impressed with Bai Lu the FL, she seems to have picked some good projects in the last few years (one or two bad ones) with storylines that have depth and are not conventional (Arsenal Military Academy, Beautiful Bones).

A must watch in 2023 for Xianxia Cdrama fans who like dark storylines.

Love the humor

I thought this was extremely funny and very original! I LOVE the humor and the leads chemistry is top notch, it is light and funny. It's definitely not the typical cdrama. The things they say makes me laugh and I don't find any annoying characters. They all did a wonderful job (love ML in like everything) so if you don't have a sense of humor, it won't be for you. But I give this a 10/10 because of how different and fun it is! Love it.

It's hard to write a short review of this drama because I loved so many things about it and because it offered so much more than I expected. But if there's one word that can sum up the whole show, it's this: heartwarming.

I watched Reply 1997, the first installment of the franchise, and loved it. I also saw positive reviews of 1988 so I came in expecting to be entertained. But I've always believed that first installments, whether a movie or a book or a show, are the best so I didn't expect too much. And so from episode 1 to 20, I kept on being surprised and impressed because not only was 1988 a good drama -- it was also better than 1997 and definitely one of the best, if not the best, 2015 kdramas.

Like its predecessors, Reply 1988 is an ode to youth, a tribute to a time long gone. I think this installment was more nostalgic because the era was the oldest. 88 stood out though because it focused less on romance and the typical Reply franchise trope of husband hunting but more on youth, friendship, and family. First loves and romance also played a part but it took a back seat, which was both a good and bad thing.

88 had a strong cast and I love that even though Duk Seon was the lead, each of the cast got their own shining moments. They were so fleshed out that it felt like I knew them in real life. The strength of this show lies in its characters and the way they interacted with each other. The camaraderie and rapport not only among the younger characters but also among the parents was so heartwarming. And the conflicts presented in each episode were real-life problems. This kept the show real, relatable, and deeply engrossing.

Reply 1988's most touching moments were the ones centered on family and friendship. I swear, there wasn't an episode where I didn't shed tears and during the latter part of the show I was crying multiple times per episode. The dynamics between Bora and her dad, for instance, broke my heart to pieces, as well as the friendship of the three ahjummas. I also loved moments between Jung Hwan and her mom, and Taek and his dad.

The romance, at first, seemed predictable. From the pilot episode, I was so sure who Duk Seon will end up with. Up until the 18th episode I was confident of my guess. And then the opposite happened and I was shocked. Viewers were shocked. I did not see that coming at all and if you watched, you'd know that one of the guys was painted as the typical male lead so it was a real surprise when he wasn't chosen. This is not to say that it wasn't justified. The guy Duk Seon ends up with truly deserved her because be was braver and more determined to get the girl. Since both guys are good, I was okay with either one and I couldn't choose. I just felt a little played because of the unexpected twist. I wonder if this was the original plan of the writer or if it was changed midway.

I only wish more attention was given to the romance. Since it took a back seat, there wasn't a clear narrative on how Duk Seon fell for the guy. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Reply 1994 is next on my to-watch list but I'm not expecting much since it has not-so-positive reviews. Plus, it would be hard to top Reply 1988. I'm still reeling from the hole it left in my heart.

This Drama, is really one ofthe best Dramas ever! It is a Drama, that makes you worry, tremble and cry rivers! There isn´t a single Episode that is boring, you always wonder what will happen next. You think about how it is going to continue, you think you finally found the perfect Scenario, just to be surprised again and again!
Story: A Story that is very awesome, and well written! Through the whole Drama, you think how it will end, just to see that it isn´t going as you expected, AT ALL! You think you finally found the murderer, it is all legit, and the Drama Comes around the Corner and "BOO", it scares the sh** out of you!
Acting/Cast: It is perfect acting and perfect cast!! I know Lee Bo Young fom I Hear Your Voice which is one of my best-ever-Dramas, but Cho Seung Woo has been totally new to me! And man, this is a guy! Everybody in this Drama Show top-notch acing skills but Cho Seung Woo - he was better than them all (although only a slight bit, they were all awesome).
Music: BEST!!!!!!! The Drama OST´s fit the Drama perfectly. They make you cry and tremble even more! I definetely have every OST of it on my phone right now!
This is a Drama, that I loved from the very first second to the very last second. I cried in almost every Episode, enough to use it for a pool actually, and trembled so many times! There sure are a few characters I didn´t like, they have been so suspicious! If you really want a Drama to cry, to tremble and to shout at your Computer, then this is for you!
I really want to thank all the writers, the directors, the actors and overall all the staff that have been working on this masterpiece, they did a really awesome Job!

To start with the summary is wrong bcz this special isn't about Makino's parents going to NY or the rest of it, this special was released after season 2 to introduce the final movie and it also includes a mini performance by the Arashi boys so this is like a promote to the movie. At the beginning, There were the moments where F4 and Makino were toghether yet there wasn't actually a story to talk about but u get to see the characters all over again, i believe that itself worth the watch!
U need to watch this before the final movie, if u already watched the movie then there's no need to watch it bcz like a said it's between the drama and the final movie.

This is actually my first time writing a review, but I really want this drama to be noticed more!

I understand that this might not be to everyone's taste, so if you're looking for a Rom-Com or something light I suggest you watch something else.
On the other hand, even if it is titled as tragedy it's not THAT tragic in my opinion. Okay, maybe a little tragic, too, but not everyone-dies-in-the-end-tragic.

This show surprised me from the start, taking a direction I didn't expect, really making me wonder where we were going.
After watching the last episode I can say that the whole story was very well thought-out and in the end everything made sense.
It did a very good job at surprising once more in the end, when I already thought I had it all figured out.

I also realy liked the dark mood and the tension, especially in conversations between Mako/Satsuki and the detective.
Both Takei Emi and Kiritani Kenta did an awesome job. I have seen Takei Emi several times before, but each time it feels like a completely different character. This time she managed to play two characters at the same time in such a way that the audience is always able to tell the twins apart even when the line starts to blur.

Lastly, I set the rewatch value very low, because it's the kind of drama that won't be as interesting anymore if you know what will happen. It's the surprises that are catchy, but you won't be surprised the second time round.

Why?

Why would you take the time to write a drama that makes people want to fight you as the writer? Why? I know you can do better. Why in hell am I seeing a naked ghost pervert in the story line that has gone no where. I want Justice for the ladies and I don't see that happening and I am at episode 11 of season 2. At least season 2 is slightly better than season 1. What you doing? Why!!!!? The only reason I will stick with the drama with a lot of scrolling is because I want to see ending full of justice.

When A Brave Magistrate Fallen In Love

' Cry Me A River of Star'
A romantic comedy plus light historical drama that contained some conflicts and obstacles.

▪️Main Points
~ The male and female lead were came from two different group of people, Zhongyuan people and Qianli people ( those who shed blue tears).
~ A brave Magistrate was responsible to punish Qianli people who want to rebel but later ended up fallen in love with a girl from Qianli people.

▪️Short Synopsis
A Magistrate, Tao Jun Ran bravely seeks and punish the Qianli people who wanted to rebel in Biyun country. He wants to search for Lian Qi from Qianli people who kept the weapons and arms illegally and punish him. Later he met an independent and hardworking girl, A Fan who close with Lian Qi and started to investigate her. He was told that A Fan was Lian Qi's girlfriend and knew about him. A Fan denied it and agreed to be questioned. Then, he knew that A Fan was not guilty and she was a nice and hardworking girl. He had fallen in love with her and want to marry her. As he confessed his love and asked her to marry him, A Fan agreed and they want to have a marriage reception. But a conflict happened a day before they want to get married.

Yun He An was so childish and stubborn girl. She still want to marry Tao Jun even she knew he do not loved her. She forced him to agree with her even they were married only for a time being in order to save Cao Qing. I hate her characters since she was arrogant and heartless person. Her brother, Yun Jia Yu also was a bad and heartless guy. He plans to make Tao Jun helpless and killed him but since his sister want to marry Tao Jun so he cant do anything bad to him. Li Qian bought A Fan to her country in Qianli. He plans to make her a 'High Priest' in her country. A Fan disagreed at first but she just followed him since he forced her to do it. There also many bad peoples who disagreed with A Fan as a High Priest. Later, Tao Jun tried to go to Qianli to save A Fan.

▪️Opinions
~ You can see how much Tao Jun Ran loved A Fan. He did everything in order to save her, he can even give his own live to her.
~ A Fan trust to Tao Jun was very deep. Even there were a lot of misunderstanding, she also chooses to trust him.
~ Majesty was just a toy since he doesn’t know what happened to his country and can easily getting betrayed by others.
~ Even Tao Jun was a great Magistrate before, he doesn’t get any respects from his Majesty and people, he been punished without getting an investigation for his frames.
~ Tao Jun Ran do as he promises to A Fan which is to marry her. Even they couldn’t get married in earlier but still they’re married in the end.

▪️Characters Intro
~ Luo Zheng as Tao Jun. He was a magistrate that responsible in dealing with Qianli people. He was popular because of his handsome face and brave in dealing with enemy. He was respected by all the people because of his braveness and kindness in helping people to deal with epidemics. Even his make up effects looked a bit weird and over make up but still okay since I do not care as he can smoothly acting and showed a good characters.
~ Huang Ri Ying as A Fan. A cute, silly and kind hearted girl who responsible and hardworking in supporting her life and also her adoptive dad who madly insane. She came from Qianli people who shed a blue tears when she's crying. Her cloth's styling was a bit glamour for a poor girl' s characters but she so pretty and cute in that styles. It is okay since I love to see a beautiful looks and stylish characters in a drama.

▪️Overall
The flow of this drama was very dramatic. It started from light, slow but suddenly got very hard. I thought this drama was a simple drama because it has some of funny scenes during an early drama. But it’s not like that. The flow getting worse and worse because there were a lot of misunderstanding between couples. No worries, there were also a sweet scenes during an early episodes which they’re kissing and also dating in the market.

I think this drama was okay. It’s only have 24 episodes for historical drama which never happened before. Thus I recommended to watch this if you want to see a short historical drama because it’s quite interesting.

This movie is definitely not for someone who wants to watch something for thrills or obvious entertainment--it's a much subtler film.

The plot line, on the surface, deals with a young woman coming in to nanny for a rich family. Naturally, as you would expect from a movie like this, she gets in way to deep and begins an affair with the attractive, domineering husband. The story line then develops further from there and we are thrown into what we can only imagine is the shallow end of the lengths these people will go to to protect their image, their wealth, and their family.

The movie very intelligently weaves a cast of characters and a story that gives us an intriguing look into the world of the wealthy and the privileged. They get what they want, when they want it, and will stop at nothing for it.

The acting was superb. There was not a single actor/actress that I didn't believe in their portrayal of the character--even in the case of the child, and I have a hard time with child actors usually.

The cinematography and editing were wonderful. The director really knew how to play with angles and to give the viewer just enough to immerse us in the story but not so much that it overwhelmed our senses. The lighting perfectly suited the moods and the choices made for scenes were very smart.

Only one small thing bothered me at the climax, but mostly on the basis of physics and I didn't find it entirely necessary, but you can be the judge when you get there. This movie is also not suited for anyone who is sensitive when it comes to nudity and sex. There is definitely some of that in there.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I went in knowing that it was a movie I would need to think about and pay attention to--much like American Psycho, which seems superfluous if you don't get all the connotations behind it.

Go in with an open mind, and a thirst for intrigue, sex, and drama and you won't be disappointed.

I love this movie. Plot is really interesting and keeps you focused for all time. It isn't so scary, there arent really many jumpscares. I really loved it. For me, music sometimes was too happy that's why i've given it 6,5. Main actress was really beutiful, she use so many emotions in her acting, that was really impressive. I cried so much.

what even just happened

This film lacks any kind of cohesion. I was so confused about what I was so supposed to take away from this experience, this film did absolutely nothing and I genuinely don’t know what it was trying to tell me. Besides the plot, the passing of time was super weird, I’m not actually sure how long a period of time it takes place over. Also both Shane and Carrie were awful friends, going out with each other despite Carrie knowing that Jonathan, who she was supposed to be good friends with, was in love with Shane and Shane knowing that he and Carrie had dated in the past. Then Shane claims Jonathan to be his best friend and talks about how he never had anyone else, despite how terribly he treats him. I mean, the sex scene, literally why? It was so unnecessary and made no sense because ten minutes later Shane says they’re just friends, at least I’m assuming unless you’re my best friend in response to a love confession is a feelings conformation (can’t be sure with this film seeing as it seems just as confused about what story it’s trying to tell as I am). Also the scene where he randomly had sex with that older guy was weird too, it’s something I’ve seen in a couple LGBT films and I really need it to stop, it’s such a weird addition. Plus the book about trans people at the beginning? I don’t know what that was about because it had no relevance to the rest of the plot.
Overall the only saving grace is the visuals, it’s shot in an old analogue camera style that gives the film a really nice aesthetic and often has this green-ish lighting that adds tremendously to the vibe of the locations. Besides that it’s abrupt, nonsensical and contains a host of subpar acting.

A love story where two hearts becoming each other's comfort

Just finished the last episode and it delivers exactly what its title promises a warm love story that shines through with emotion and heartfelt moments. This slow burning romance between Lin Yusen and Nie Xiguang captivated me from start to finish, demonstrating how a patient and steady love story can be the most rewarding.

The story follows the cheerful and positive Nie Xiguang, a business school student whose journey begins with an unrequited crush. After graduation and some heartbreak, she joins Guangyu Photovoltaic where she meets Lin Yusen, a former top neurosurgeon quietly working at his family's solar company following a career changing accident. What unfolds is a beautiful tale of mutual healing, personal growth, and finding the love you truly deserve.

The first few episodes focus heavily on Xiguang’s college life which is a crucial setup of her character display and the base of the story. It allows her character to grow, move on from her past, and be ready for the mature and steady love that Lin Yusen offers. What makes this drama so special is the natural progression of their relationship. Lin Yusen is the definition of a green flag. His pursuit of Xiguang is refreshingly mature as he gives her the space she needs, shows up when she needs him most and loves her with patience and respect. Their chemistry feels authentic and comfortable like sunshine filtering through a gentle forest. Song Weilong and Zhao Jinmai bring these characters to life with such wonderful and convincing performances.

I particularly appreciated how the drama shows the contrast between a love that makes you doubt yourself and a love that helps you flourish. The way Xiguang feels at ease and confident with Yusen is a central theme. This also applies to her friendships contrasting the supportive environment at work with her less trustworthy college friends. The supporting characters add wonderful depth like Jiang Rui who is the hilariously protective cousin, and Xiguang's decisive mother and the entire warm work family at Guangyu.

My only minor wish was for more screen time dedicated to their life as an official couple as the 'getting together' phase takes up a large part of the story. However, the final episode showing their happy married life with their daughter was a perfect conclusion that many modern dramas fail to deliver.

Shine On Me proves that sometimes the most beautiful love stories are the quiet ones where two people simply bring out the best in each other and become each other's comfort and strength. A truly delightful drama that will leave you feeling warm long after watching.
