cheesy bakery romance

The “Panda and Hedgehog” dynamic is simple but I really love it. The show is cute and it makes for a lot of funny moments. Like why is Donghae's characters ,Ko Seung-Ji, nickname hedgehog? (very funny plotting when you watch it btw) but Pan Da Young, she’s softer, trusting, and warm he is more guarded, and blunt. The dynamic of this makes for funny moments of opposites attract kinda show. Watching Donghae slowly soften while she learns to stand her ground is honestly one of the cutest parts of the show. AND the show's love triangle isn't really a love triangle it's more a two sided one and a bromance. THIS is just super refreshing to watch in romcoms. There are misunderstndinging in the show yes but to anything too bad. It's more workplace chaos due to Donghaes blunt personality. It keeps things fun and stops the story from feeling too heavy at times. Why should you watch it then. Its:
- Warm
- A little cheesy in a good way
- Easy to watch
- Full of small, genuine moments
It's also one of those that I keep having in the back due to the cuteness if I don't know what to watch. I own the DVD as well and the OST is amazing as well so no complaints of the drama.

IF YOU CAN'T TELL FAKE FROM REAL, IS IT REALLY FAKE.

The art of Sarah introduces us to a story, of a woman called by the name Sarah, who lives a fake life, hides under fake identities, and is a fake, this deceptive Sarah takes us into a detective era, where the named detective Park Mu Gyeong, having no other investigations going on FOR REAL, fully dives into the death of Sarah, and carried on a never-ending mystery investigation to the end.

The mystery was well, I enjoyed it as it led me into taking meds for constant headaches, the logic was a half-baked cake, as some points didn't match.

Shin Hae Sun delivers it raw, constant, pure, and I was stunned as well as captivated by her amusing performance in portraying the character Sarah, every moment she is on screen, her movements, her expressions, left me in a state of - can I step on the stage of her scene? Shin Hae Sun created a performance that entered the stage raw and just had to leave undiluted.

Overall rating is 8.0. The mystery vibe was well done. Shin Hae Sun as Sarah Kim was over the top. Lee Jun Hyuk, my handsome star, delivered a great performance. Not much of his screen time, but it was great. The logic by which the investigations move, with no other investigations, seems poor.
Not telling me the Shin Hae Sun character's real name was a big disappointment, even if it seemed unnecessary.

THE MOST EXCITING ONE

It took me some time to write a review, even though I watched it a long time ago. I just loved it.

The way our dear Paran is handsome drives me crazy! I love him!

The series is so mature and at the same time innocent. I like the way they communicate, and even when they fight, there's a good reason to do it. When Khem went back to uni, I remember I said: "I'd go back too".

I learned a lot about Thai culture as well, and I could see more of the beautiful country itself.

I want to highlight that I'm terrified of horror, I can't watch it because I have had nightmares since I was a child lol but I could watch it anyway, and now I'm in love. I'd watch again anytime!

The potential was there but somehow lost...

The story was textbook one. The characters were childhood friends with somewhat of an enemies to lovers arc.
However, the connection of the audience with either of the characters or their history was not solid. It needed more time and flashbacks felt planted to make the story move forward rather than add meaning or depth to the story or characters.
The chemistry between the leads was most definitely there but the acting was not on par in certain scenes. It was mostly delivering lines or an attempt to not overact. The main character took it surprisingly well that he was in a romantic relationship with his best friend at the time when he hated his guts 😅. However, the scenes where an outburst of emotion was needed the characters acted surprisingly mature despite the intensity of situation.
It was a good attempt that fell at certain points but did fairly well in others. However, not really to underplay any series but Thundercloud Rainstorm felt similar to this series but it was an amazing watch despite the production value.

Sweeeeeeettttt

Story of a girl who paints portraits for the government and private clients, forced to swap her face with the prime minister's daughter to marry the general in her place. The plot is spot on .. zero BS .. story moves with a consistent pace unfurling every secret one after another without dragging too much. Ying ke and cheng lei did a good job ..their chemistry was sweet ... Actually it's Ying ke who would look cute irrespective of what role she plays whereas cheng lei is known to sport his gentleman's persona the best... Their pairing gave a real couple-like vibe .... nothing too steamy or flashy just organic romance between husband and wife anchoring you emotionally and deeply. Side cast added their fair share to the story as well.
The ending was satisfactory with a side twist nobody asked for, but overall the drama is very much enjoyable.

Watching cheng lei in such low production dramas tells you a lot about his journey as an artist... I am glad he is doing good budget and full length series as ML now.

The end that ruined everything

When the phone rings surprised me from the very start. I thought I was going to watch a crimi-like drama with lots of criminal activity, police searches with detectives and a cat-and-mouse kind of plot. But it gave me something so much deeper. I was really into it from the get-go because I didn't expect the female lead to turn out so badass.

We follow Hong Hee Jo who has to go through life as a mute due to something her mother once said when she was a young girl. But because of it she's learned sign language and has made it her job to interpret the news readings. She's made something of her life but she carries a secret with her. Behind closed doors, she's the wife of the current Presidential Spokesperson but she cannot ever show her face or appear as his wife. The marriage they have is cold and distant. And when Hee Jo gets abducted by someone who wants to threaten her husband with her life, she finds out just how cold and distant their marriage is.
Burdened by her husband's harsh words, Hee Jo crashes her car and escapes her abductor. By using his untrackeable phone she calls her husband and plots for revenge.

I was on the edge of my seat for so long. Each and every episode had me wanting more and more. The plot was quick and easy to understand. They filled up the gaps swiftly and kept the suspense going. I was binging episodes in between breaks at work and had to force myself to stop watching them when I had to go to sleep. It was so addicting. Almost every episode ends with a cliffhanger.

Positives:
- The chemistry between Hee Jo and Sa Eon was flying off the charts.
- The man who looked like a machine became a soft cinnamon roll. I'm a sucker for storylines like that.
- Arranged marriage becomes true love
- It gave me angst, a romance that made me melt, was an emotional rollercoaster, surprised me at every step and was never predictable
- The suspense was killing me
- I liked the usage of sign language. I don't know it myself but it looked very authentic. And it was so cute when Sa Eon wanted to learn it too and it became their secret language.

Negatives:
- That last episode..... it was a mess. It didn't belong in the show. It was so alien to me that I laughed at the screen the entire time, thinking: what the hell happened? Why are we in the middle of nowhere? Wasn't he shot? Why did her leave after everything they've been through? Is she really wearing that in the middle of an open warzone? 6 months?? HE LEFT FOR 6 MONTHS WITHOUT A WORD? WHY?
- The ending was dumb
- It ruined the entire show for me
- Did I mention the ending sucked?
- I wish I had skipped episode 12
- Truly, the ending didn't make any sense. It was a hot mess. I wanted to give the show a 10 out of 10 but just because I hate the ending so much it turned into an 8 out of 10.

Would I recommend? Yes. But skip the last episode. Or maybe just watch the last 10 minutes of it to save yourself the maddening frustration that comes with watching the whole thing.

What moved me the most wasn’t the justice, nor the resolution of truths.
It was the moment she returned.

Not because she had to… but because she remembered.

She remembered the people who raised her, who loved her, who would have been left alone if she never came back.

And that, to me, was the most powerful act in the entire story.

Because love is not always about staying.
Every so often, it is about going back.

The drama gives us everything we expect — closure, consequences, and emotional resolution.

However then it does something more subtle, something deeper.

● It shows us a different life.
● A quieter one.
● A life untouched by pain, where no one was lost, and everything remained in its place.

Not to confuse us — but to make us feel what was sacrificed along the way.

And maybe that’s why this story stays with you.

Not because of what happened… but because of what could have been.

In the end, they didn’t choose the easiest life. They decided the one where no one would be left behind.

And without even thinking…

I knew I would have done the same.

Already the best of 2026

I know, I know... we're still in early 2026 but nothing (and I mean NOTHING) can compare to this beauty of a drama.

I was among the skeptical at first. I'm not a big fan of Zhang Ling He's acting skills so I held off on this drama but the ype grew so big it took over my TikTok fyp and I had to take a look for myself.
I'm glad I did.

I binged watched the first 28 episodes within the span of three days, sat on the edge of my seat and found myself finding reason to relate to almost every character. I cried my eyes out for characters that were inherently bad, rooted for characters who searched for redemption, sat on the edge of my seat for the main characters and fell head over heels in love with one of the villains.

The cast for this drama is so damn good and Zhang Ling He proved me so wrong in thinking he couldn't act all that well. The way he portrays his character in this show is magnificent and I take back every bad word I have ever said about him. It was my first drama starring Tian Xi Wei and I can't wait to see more of her in cdrama. The same goes for Deng Kai and Lin Mu Ran and I could keep that list going.
This show deserves the hype because it's everything I would wish for in a drama and more. It gave me angst, drama, a romance to die for, a beautiful portrayal of a toxic romance, badass female characters, child actors who can actually act well and so much more.

Would I recommend? Hell yes! The cast is casting. The costumes are costuming. The OST is freaking amazing. It got me goosebumps whenever it started playing.
So if you're looking for a show that will pull you in from start to finish, you should definitely watch this. If not? Then watch it anyway. It's worth it. Trust me.

Rom-Com done right!

Characters are very different from our usual modern day romance:
Yeo Mi Ran is almost absurdly strong and tough, but it is brilliantly explained why (perverts out in the open, women being perceived as weak and helpless and her personality not being able to let that slide).
Partly because she is so tough and cool, she never fell in love and always just played with men.
Nam Gang Ho is the most popular and desired actor, called the god of romance, but he actually hates women because she met only the really bad ones: the ladder-climbers, the gold-diggers and similar types.
Secondary leads are not the best. Do Won Jun at least starts a lot of the comedy scenes and is a reliable buddy and wingman, at least until the final part, where he turns into he most cheesy guy ever, and even him trying to downplay it by calling himself out doesn't help at all.
Shin Na Eun has a few good moments, but in general doesn't stick out in any way, positive or negative.
Supporting cast is full of weirdos, but in the good sense of the word, very colorful and mostly funny people

It was necessary to describe the characters first, because the story highly relies on the two mains' clash of personalities. It is innovative, doesn't care how people in it are painted or what you will think of them, leaves you on edge most of the time, and maybe most importantly it is not predictable except the last 1,5 episode.
By being so unhinged and unpredictable, it creates one of the best "two people getting to love each other" scenarios ever.
It gets seemingly cheesy sometimes, only to twist that into an extremely funny or shocking situation a minute later.
When they finally get together, you get to experience possibly the most natural, intensive and beautiful chemistry ever.
It's like they truly were born for each other.

The OST is mostly energetic and emphasizing the mood of the series.
It doesn't stick out too much, but when you listen to it separately from the show, lots of the songs are gems,
especially the 4 pivotal ones.
Even the inserted "emoji" sounds indicating moods and funny situations were so on point here, that it did not disturb the flow of the show, which happens in 99% of similar cases.

In general this is a good show for anyone who enjoys romantic comedies, but especially for those who are tired of the cheesy predictable ones with no distinct flavors and want something at least a little more original that can actually make them laugh or drop their jaw in surprise.

Love That Takes Its Time

I tried watching I Feel You Linger in the Air back in 2024, but I dropped it after two episodes. Not because it was bad, but because at the time there were so many BLs to choose from and I naturally leaned toward lighter, easier watches. Looking back now after finally finishing it in 2026, I can say I kind of regret not giving it a proper chance earlier.

Let me get this out of the way first. For a 2023 release, this drama was excellent. Easily one of the stronger Thai BLs from that year. It may not be groundbreaking, but it executed its core elements very well, and that alone already puts it above a lot of its contemporaries.

The pacing is probably what threw me off initially. It starts slow, very slow, and if you are not in the mood for something patient and emotionally driven, it can feel dragging. But after finishing it, I understood why it was structured that way. The slow build allowed the story, the emotions, and the characters to settle properly. It needed that time to make everything feel earned.

The acting across the board was solid. The leads, though not very familiar to me at first, delivered convincing and heartfelt performances as Yai and Jom. This is where you really see how seasoned actors can elevate a project. They did not just play the roles, they embodied them. Even the backstories were handled with care, and the script supported their performances well. The storyline itself is not entirely new. If you have watched a lot of Korean dramas or even some KBLs, you will recognize the pattern and probably predict where things are going. Still, it does not take away from the overall experience.

I also appreciated the inclusion of multiple queer pairings. At the time, this was not as common, especially before the recent rise of GL pairings. It added more depth to the world of the story and made it feel more lived in.

Now, the ending. It was… a choice. By the time I reached the latter half of the series, I already had an idea of how things would unfold, so it did not shock me. It was not bad, but I do wish they explored a slightly different direction. Still, I understand why they chose to wrap it up that way. And yes, I have to say it, who is that mustache version of Yai? That caught me off guard more than anything else.

At the end of the day, I Feel You Linger in the Air remains a standout for its time. It may not reinvent the genre, but it respects the story it wants to tell and delivers it with care. It is not for viewers who want something quick, funny, or easy to digest. It asks for patience, but it gives back a meaningful and well crafted experience.

Would I rewatch it? Maybe, maybe not. But I can confidently say it is a great drama that is worth watching at least once.
