Acceptance of sexuality

I must have some strange fascination with shipwrecks. In my adolescence I read every novel I could get my hands on that took place on desert islands, in inhospitable landscapes, after the arrival of a survivor of a maritime or air accident.
I remember reading works where fiction and reality go hand in hand, such as "Story of a Shipwrecked", by Gabriel García Márquez. I enjoyed "Two Years' Holiday" and "The Mysterious Island" by French novelist Jules Verne; "The Shipwrecked of the Auckland", by François Édouard Raynal, "The Shipwrecked of the Grand Armada", by Fernando Martínez Laínez, "Drifting", by Steve Callahan, "The Shipwrecked of the Liguria", by the Italian author Emilio Salgari , "The Castaways" by Charlotte Rogan, "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe, "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel, "Isla de Lobos", by José Vicente Pascual, "The castaways of the Batavia", by Simon Leys, "The castaways", by Jean Améry, "Drifting", by Joris-Karl Huysmans.
These works, and others, have in common the fact that the survivors, as soon as they manage to reach land, were immediately forced to survive in an uninhabited and hostile place.
That is why I cannot understand David (John David Schon), the protagonist of 'The Shore BL Series' (marketed as 'The First Island BL Romance'), who, being in the same situation, instead of exploring the terrain and Making sure how to survive, he constantly cries out for help, sitting on the shore under a scorching Philippine sun, in a no less exhausting episode.
But of all the works about shipwrecks, Jody Garcia's series reminds me most of "Just A Bit Wrecked," a gay novel by Alessandra Hazar, because they both share their intriguing concept of two strangers stranded on an uninhabited island that come to love each other.
But while the book by the author of "Forbidden", "Just a Bit Captivated" and "Just a Bit Wrong", among others, describes a narrative arc in which the protagonists begin as declared enemies or adversaries, only to discover gradually a deeper connection that transcends the initial animosity, in 'The Shore BL Series' the friendly approach is surprising.
The series also manages to captivate the viewer with its beautiful photography, delicious cinematography and two talented leading actors.
Produced by Star Image Artist Management, which also produced the series 'Amore BL Series', the story brings us to David, a Psychology student, who runs away from home after discovering two heartbreaking realities that alter his life: he has stumbled upon the truth of his adoption, and his girlfriend and Vince (Kyle Verches), his childhood best friend, have been unfaithful to him.
During their getaway, in the car, the viewer learns, thanks to the voice-over of the main character in constant interior monologues, about the friendship that David and Vince have built for years.
In this way, David arrives at a beach resort and takes refuge in drink. Completely drunk, he ignores warnings of a dangerous approaching storm, rents a boat and, alone, rows out to the ocean in search of tranquility.
But instead of peace, unfortunately, the storm washes David to the shores of an island that appears to be uninhabited. And in this way our narrative hero begins a journey that will change his life forever.
Alone in this inhospitable place and with broken mental health, David cannot adapt to the new situation, so he goes through several stages: confusion, anger, denial, dejection, fear, tolerance, identity, self-acceptance...
Here the series plays with the same acceptance process that any homosexual person usually experiences to accept themselves as such and live homosexuality completely naturally without perceiving it as inferior to heterosexuality.
In this sense, the presence of Simon (Miguel Ching) helps, a young man who, like him, has been stranded on the island and from the first moments shows that he is attracted to his adventure companion.
As David and Simon perfect their survival instincts, a love arises between the two born of mutual need and desperation, as both will have to fend for themselves to survive.
The relationship between them becomes increasingly intense, marked by tension and a mutual desire. But initially, David, who has believed all his life to be heterosexual, will fight against the feelings that are born in his chest and will try to stay away from Simon's amorous longings. The series stands out for its high sexual tension and a palpable sexual tension between the two protagonists.
Both David and Simon have a strong presence on stage that captures the audience with their emotions. Both are debut actors and play their roles well, despite a script that leads them to be repetitive in Byzantine discussions about the acceptance of homosexuality.
And if at some point David perceived the island as a prison from which he could never escape, in truth the islet becomes a liberating space in which he can discover and accept his true sexuality.
David is the character with the most personal development. Seeing him accept both his presence on the island and his homosexuality, the fact that he comes to know his true self, makes me want to hug him and tell him that I support him, that he doesn't have to pretend to be the person he isn't.
For his part, Simon is an attractive and intriguing character. While David appears to be in an emotional crisis and does not know how to deal with the circumstances, Simon maintains a calm demeanor, as if he had control of the situation. He will calm and protect David at all times. He will teach how to fish, how to light a fire, how to seek protection from the sun, the cold at night, animals, rain...
While this is happening on the island, fortunately for David, Vince contacts the resort director and, upon learning of his disappearance, goes to the scene to begin a search and rescue operation for the shipwrecked man.
Noticing the desperation to find David alive, I wondered why he would break his best friend's heart by having an affair with his girlfriend, when the two are so close to each other.
I liked the series about how it manages to separate the story into two distressing but important parts, how it pushed the protagonists to fight for survival, how it exploited them to make them realize the true value of life, how it led them to know their true sexual identity and how one can have everything and the second have nothing.
I loved how the couple developed their feelings and emotions without feeling rushed, but also showing the desire and sexual tension they have for each other and how after physically exploring each other, love and passion take shape into something strong, lasting and healthy.
But what I liked most is the personal development of the three main characters, because if David is called to overcome the reasons that brought him to the island and open his heart to Simon, Simon, with his loving and kind nature, must become the balm that heals David's wounds, while it is up to Vince to accept his friend's true sexual orientation and, in the process, seek redemption for his mistakes, and save the two's old friendship.

La tragica vida de Ding Yuxi, el policía suspendido

No puedo decir que amo esta serie, pero al menos te entretiene un rato. Por momentos la trama te puede ofrecer misterio policíaco pero en otros, simplemente sigue un guión muy predecible y repetitivo. Lo cual es común en series de acción, pero ojalá hubieran tenido más creatividad para enmascarlo. Es tan predecible la trama qué me pregunto si lo hicieron así a proposito, porque no había visto algo tan obvio desde Squid Game.

El personaje de Ding Yuxi está lejos de ser el policía resolvedor de crímenes que te quieren hacer creer y aunque probablemente este a finales de sus 20's, principios de sus 30's, como es el más joven en su casa lo tratan como a un adolescente (? Su personaje más bien es el de un joven maestro regañado por perder su arma (de lo cual no tuvo la culpa). Es un hermano menor, un cuñado y un amigo, pero como personaje propio es difícil de ver, ya que la trama se centra en sus relaciones y no en el mismo.

Las escenas de acción están bien coreografíadas y los efectos son lo suficientemente buenos para hacerlo creíble. Honestamente, el trabajo de los actores es lo que levanta a esta serie, si no fuera por ellos la hubiera abandonado hace mucho, porque la historia es demasiado simple, ciclica y aburrida. Le agradezco inmensamente a los actores por su buen trabajo, porque sin ellos la historia probablemente sería horrible.

Una de las cosas que más lamento es que parece que la policía no sabe hacer su trabajo. Wen Binbin siempre logra dar fácilmente con los culpables (a pesar de que esta suspendido) y no importa que en cada ocasión le avise a las autoridades, siempre se les escapa el delincuente. Literal el protagonista puede hacer el trabajo de todo un departamento de policías y en cada ocasión los delincuentes se escapan por la misma p*ta razón. La primera mitad de la serie se trata de ese juego del gato y el ratón entre el protagonista y los criminales sin llegar a ningún plot twist relevante. Hasta después del episodio 15 las cosas empiezas a tomar otro camino.

Debo quejarme por la muerte de la chica que le gustaba a Binbin, porque se muere por un disparo en el brazo ¡El brazo! y nunca se aclara para el resto de personajes como participó en los delitos. Binbin simplemente llora su muerte esperando que lo que le dijeron no sea cierto. Así como eso, hubieron varios huecos en la trama que usaron a su conveniencia pero que después abandonaron y nunca explicaron.

Si embargo, ojalá Ding Yuxi reciba un premio por tremenda actuación en el capitulo 11 y 23 (si recuerdo bien), porque hay tanto dolor y vulnerabilidad en su interpretación que es difícil de ver en actores chinos, quienes siempre tratan de lucir guapos y fuertes cuando lloran, al diablo con eso, los hombres que expresan sus sentimientos son sexys. DYX ha dejado una fuerte impresión en mi y ha levantado mis expectativas sobre lo que busco ver en un actor. Sobre su actuación no tengo ninguna queja, al contrario.

Si los dramas policiales y conflictos callejeros son lo tuyo, creo que te gustará un poco este drama. Si esperas romance o caras bonitas, bueno... quizás debas de buscar en otro lado. Cumple su función de entretener, pero eso es todo.

Amor adolescente del bonito. :3

Es un drama precioso. :3 Sin duda, lo consideró uno de los mejores dramas juveniles (tratando sobre adolescentes). Te vas encariñando demasiado con todos los personajes, ves un proceso de "madurez" en cada uno de ellos; y algo que me ha encantado es la manera directa de comunicación y cuando se equivocan trabajan en ello para poder mejorar. Para ser sincera, mi propósito para ver este drama, era porque sabía que Suzuka Ouji iba a protagonizar al personaje principal (ya que me ha enamorado desde su actuación en Silent), y mientras veía el drama nada de eso me importó de lo tan bueno que fue y olvidé mi fanatismo hacía Ouji. (claramente, después de terminar el drama me enamoré más de él) xD <3 ¿Qué les puedo decir?; me ha llenado los ojos de lágrimas, morir de ternura y sentir cosas muy bonitas en mi corazón. Es un claro ejemplo de un primer amor sano y lindo. *---*

El drama histórico que me conquistó por completo. <3

¡Me gustó mucho! <3
No suelo ver dramas históricos, pero este en particular había llamado mi atención desde hace tiempo. Tenía la sensación de que lo disfrutaría mucho, y así fue. (,:
Es un drama que combina originalidad con momentos inolvidables. Me hizo reír a carcajadas y, en otros momentos, me llenó de ternura con sus escenas románticas y divertidas. Aunque debo admitir que lo dejé pausado por un tiempo, no porque no me gustara, sino porque no estoy acostumbrada a este tipo de contenido.
Lo que más me fascinó fue la forma en que mezclaron la cultura de la Corea antigua con elementos de la Corea actual. La integración de ambas épocas estuvo muy bien lograda y supieron manejarla.
Y si me lo preguntan, el amor BL fue mi parte favorita. Seamos sinceros, yo solo veía una relación entre Jang Bong-Hwan y el rey Cheoljong, aunque Jang Bong-Hwan estuviera atrapado en el cuerpo de la reina Kim So-Yong, mientras recuperaba sus recuerdos. :3
Sin duda, lo vería otra vez. Me llena de alegría saber que ahora tengo un drama histórico en mi lista de favoritos. <3
Ahora entiendo por qué fue tan aclamado en su tiempo.

Short series and agile and concise narration

When a few months ago HBD Studio and Ppeach, the original new platform designed to, among other things, provide adaptations of popular BL novels, such as 'Uncle Unknown', 'Inverse identity, 'Promising' and 'Stay Still', launched learning that a short series based on the Chinese fiction "Falling for My Enemy's" was in the process of production, joy took over everyone who had ever visited, through their imagination, the places where Wang Congcong and Zheng Qinghe loved each other, building for himself those passages in which the rich young man of privileged origin discovered that the handsome bodyguard hired was none other than his childhood friend Zheng Guanyuan, but under a pseudonym in order to take revenge for the murder of his family.

What title fits between the time we dedicate to other series that we are already watching and between the rest of the activities that we like to do in our free time? BL series producers also have a solution for this: miniseries or short series, like those mentioned in the first paragraph of the review, which consist of very very short chapters and whose single season can be seen in a flash.
That is precisely the key to 'Be Moon', whose episodes barely last 3 minutes and in just under an hour a love story is told and interpreted in a truly remarkable way, even if it has no great pretensions.
Without the need to invest in a long-term commitment, 'Be Moon' offers the same agile storytelling, dramatic moments and satisfying ending as any traditional television series, managing to hook viewers from start to finish, while ensuring that the story be short and light.

Me he sumergido totalmente en el drama

A diferencia de otras personas que le ha decepcionado bastante, a mi me ha encantado.
He estado sumergida durante los 12 capítulos
La dirección es muy buena, sentías a cada personaje
La química entre los protagonistas era perfecta
Shin Hye Sun cada vez me sorprende más que gran actriz
Jung Hyeon es verdad no era perfecto quizás sus decisiones no fueron las mejores al romper con ella, pero siento que el fondo la amaba

DECEPCIONES
Me hubiera gustado ver más al personaje de Hyeri(era realmente encantador)
Que Ju Eun Ho Y Jung Hyeon no se hubieran reconciliado tan rápido, que el le diera sus excusas por haber roto con ella
El hecho de que ella se recuperara tan rápido de su doble personalidad
Hay varios agujeros en la trama, pero a pesar de todo me encantó sentí a cada personaje
Que buenos actores hay en Corea .
Recomiendo el drama.

Divertido y cálido.

Desde que anunciaron su estreno sabía que querría verla, sin embargo, me tomó más de lo esperado.
Para empezar, los primeros 6 u 8 episodios me llegaron a resultar un poco extensos y que les faltaba sustancia. Pero a medida que avanzaba la trama le empecé a tomar cariño a los personajes y su historia. Los protagonistas me parece que sí tienen química y cuando empezaron a salir vi muy genuino sus muestras de afecto, sin embargo, me faltó esa construcción de la relación con más detalle, a Seunghyo siempre lo vi enamorado pero ella no parecía estar interesada en él y por eso cuando se dieron el primer beso me pareció bastante anticlimático. Nos dicen que a ella le gustó él primero, pero él se enamoró más (e igual no me termina de convencer). Dejando eso de lado, me pareció un kdrama lindo, cálido y que sin muchas extravagancias cumple su objetivo. Lo recomendaría, pero sé que no es para todo el mundo.

Solo hace una cosa bien

Cuando me encontré esta serie y vi que era otra coproducción Tailandia-Corea no pude no recordar "Love is like a cat", lo que me hizo tener escalofríos. ¿Se vendría otra oportunidad perdida? ¿Otra narrativa en la que todo el mundo se entiende aunque no hablen ni el mismo idioma?

Y sí. Y sí también.

Pero en este caso al menos han buscado el tiempo para justificar por qué todo el mundo parece entender Tailandés. Se ve que hay una moda por el idioma en Corea y no teníamos esa información.

En cualquier caso, la serie se siente apresurada, muchas de las escenas cortan a nuevos momentos sin conexión alguna, la relación entre Jay y Seong Hun pasa de 0 a 10 en una transición, la motivación de los personajes no queda del todo clara... y encima la amiga con la que estaba viendo la serie se vio venir el giro argumental en el capítulo 3 (yo no tanto, seré idiota o es tan solo el autismo).

En fin, otro despropósito en 2024.

Yo solo tengo que decir gracias por este especial pq la serie para mi termino de una manera en que sentía que le había faltado un poco, tipo esa ultima escena me quedo debiendo pero este especial viene a resolver.
Termina la historia de Ai y Nhai de la la manera mas bonita y vemos de alguna forma una pareja mucho mas segura de sus sentimientos, lo que mas me gusto fue ver a Nhai siendo el que perseguía a Ai (obvio para disculparse y asi) pero siento que esto aseguro que Nhai ya ama por completo a Ai, nomas por destacar cuando Ai le dice a Nhai me quedare a tu lado y te amare hasta que sea viejo tipo desde siempre se supo que Ai ama por completo a Nhai pero siempre es bonito ver que lo reafirma.

Tengo unas dudas pq bueno se confirma que Ton y Chon ya son pareja pero nunca apareció Chon y Ton entonces estuvo de "mal tercio" todo el especial, pero mi mas grande duda es que no se menciona y no hacen aparición Nine e Intha, lit nd y yo si quería verlos pero bueno tmb nunca se menciona a el papá de Nhai pero si aparecen los papás de Ai que la vd tmb fue bonito verlos a ellos.

Sin duda es un especial muy bonito que cierra de muy buena manera esta pareja y serie:)

Es una serie muy bonita pero si lo que estas buscando es drama creo que no es para ti, digamos que al menos para mi es una serie muy lineal, muy del tipo de ver el día a día de los personajes, un romance universitario con este cliché de amor a primera vista bien logrado, que si bien tuvo una que otra cosa que podríamos catalogar como drama siento que el mayor problema de esta serie es que no lo termina abordando por completo y se queda a medias y no nomas pasa con el drama sino también con otras cosillas pero eso no quita que aun asi sea disfrutable.

Ai y Nhai, es una pareja muy bonita, algo que me gusto mucho es que Ai nunca tuvo duda de lo que sentía por Nhai y siempre trababa de explicarle cualquier cosa cuando a Nhai le surgían dudas, maybe al principio si es un poco intensito pero bueno, algo chistoso es ver como Nhai pasa de no estar seguro de lo que siente, a sentir celos y luego ya darse su oportunidad con Ai, siento que si tuvieron pleitos fueron muy de pareja y también me gusto que no separaran a los protagonistas de que por un problema y que se dejaran de hablar en los últimos caps, como suelen hacer varias series, siento que esta pareja es mas como del aprendizaje de como llevar una relación y para mi lo tienen muy logrado.

Hay bastantito personaje secundario tenemos a los amigos de Ai y Nhai:
Tonhon, Nine y Intha que los tres me cayeron bastante bien, son cómicos y se nota que todos se conocen bien entre ellos, no por nada le cuestionan a Ai sobre que intenciones tiene con Nhai pq estaban preocupados por Nhai.
Ahora algo que me causo digamos poquito conflicto es que en algun momento nos "presentan" a sus posibles parejas de Ton esta Chon su amigo de la infancia, de Nine esta FM que le dijo que le gustaba y le pidió que le enseñara y de Intha esta Songkhwan que en teoría ellos ya se gustaban entre si pero no se dio nada pq Song se fue a el extranjero a estudiar un doctorado, bueno de estas tres posibles "parejas" ninguna termina siendo y no entiendo pq, siento que cualquiera de las tres hubiera estado bien como pareja secundaria pq no tenemos en si, las tres terminaron a medias sin explorarse ni nada.
Están los papás de Ai:
Sippakorn y Jaonan que la vd quedo muy claro que son un amor de persona, que quieren/aman demasiado a Ai, maybe me hubiera gustado ver un poco mas de ellos o de su relación con Ai.
Esta el papá de Nhai:
Tambien me cayo muy bien, se vio que es muy comprensible y que siempre puedes contar con el tmb me falto verlo un poco mas.
Y esta la mamá y hermanastra de Ai:
Rajin y Jom que mi mayor conflicto es que nunca supe realmente pq la mamá quería reconectar con Ai, supongo que Jom quería pq la mama le dijo y tmb pq le salvo la vida?, pero lit después de lo que pasa con Nhai en el vestíbulo no vuelven a salir y lit ahi quedo todo y no me hace nada de sentido pq al principio si era todo muy insistente por parte de la mamá y la hermana y me dices que después de eso ya no volvieron a aparecer o contactar a Ai umm idk siento que mejor nos hubieran dado el trasfondo de lo que paso hace 5 años y ahí lo hubieran dejado pq al final esto termino dándome igual.

Al final como digo termino siendo una serie muy bonita, muy tranquilita que maybe le falto explorar varias cosas pero que en otras cumple muy bien y termina siendo muy disfrutable:)

Si no tuviera esas escenas de non con seria perfecto

Me tarde en verla pero estoy muy feliz de que que al fin tengamos una adaptación de danmei sin censura. La historia me gusto y la pareja principal tiene varios tropos que me gustan mucho. La serie me entretuvo y la pase bien.

Los dos personajes principales tienen un desarollo notable a lo largo de la historia, principalmente Xiaobao. Aunque la pareja ya esta establecida en el capitulo 5 casi, no senti que estuviera apresurado. Eso si, hay ciertas escenas que pudieron haber sido cambiadas.
Las escenas esas con consentimiento dudoso te la bajan un poco mucho. Encima no es una, ni dos, tres veces. La primera me parecio rarisima re gacha life 24 horas en celo que onda. La segunda te la dejo pasar. La tecera es un horror.

Las parejas secundarias son una mierda. Sentia que a uno lo infantilizaban mucho y realmente no tenian nada que me llamara la atencion. Por eso Su Yin y el doctor debieron haber terminado juntos.

Decido gaslightearme y pensar que las escenas non con y las parejas secundarias no existen porque posta ame esta serie aaa

Dale una oportunidad

Entiendo que viendo el rating sientas que no vale la pena, pero si estas cansado de el mismo drama con diferentes actores esto es para ti, es como comer un helado de tu sabor favorito despues de un dia de trabajo en el sol.
La actuacion de el ml es increible crees que le duele lo que le pasa y que cada palabra la saca del corazon, la actuacion de la fl es decente, no es incomodo verlos juntos en pantalla.
Tiene personajes unicos y que parecen vivos, aunque no hablan de ello parece que tienen sus propios problemas y no sirven solo como props.
La historia es decente aunque un poco apurada, me hubiera gustado que fuera mas larga pero eso solo es mi opinion personal.
En pocas palabras el drama deberia tener mejor puntuacion de la que le dan, entiendo que no sigue una formula en si pero si estas cansado de lo mismo, dale una oportunidad.
