Cute but cliche, had potential to be better with more character development
It was pleasant to watch and quite short since it's only 12 episodes. The acting was fine (IU performed much better in when life gives you tangerines), nothing extraordinary, the chemistry ok, the visuals great and the music quite good. The story however was average and with many plot holes, which could have been resolved with more character development. While I was watching the show I was wondering about many things that maybe I got wrong or maybe they didn't explain so well. Like why was the SML so obsessed with the FL when he never expressed his feelings towards her (and probably didn't want to earlier since she was an illegitimate daughter and probably wanted someone with more credentials). Why was the father so unloving towards the FL but still gave her the position of CEO? Shouldn't he have a more straightforward attitude? Why did the former king want to quit? I get that he was oppressed but we don't get to know him well enough to understand it. And I don't understand the main villain at all, his efforts seemed rushed and over the top. Oh and I really dislike the fact that after the marriage the FL that seems to be very powerful and determined, suddenly seems scared, weak and in need of a savior... As I said it was a good show, but that's about it. I know it's longer and older, but in that "modern day kingdom" and "fake marriage" categories I prefer Goong.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

Really fun!!!! so radiantly vital and healthy - great communication, healthy look ppl, FUN!
I am watching 3 first bc I learned about it first and since it is a good experience, I will then watch 2 and 1.I love 3, it is so funny lmao and the characters are so realistic and the plots are realistic (well to some point, lmao everything but the tunnel)
And I love watching the actors!!!! The style of filming, acting, and overall vibe is SO RADIANTLY HEALTHY!!!!! Everyone looks so healthy and energetic, they communicate, they smile, it is lovely!!!!! And there is no tons of white powder on their faces, tons of plastic surgery, skinny skeleton bodies. People have nice normal fit healthy bodies.
E.g. Mr Yoon the taecher has crow feet wrinkles on this face when he smiles, but he is omg aLOT more handsome than any of the modern actors!!!! he just glows!!!! he is 100% beautiful healthy radiant energetic man, no modern actors can even compare with that look. The modern male actors are pale and kinda lifeless, they cannot move much, and the drama makes them act poker faced, which is sooo boring.
And the women in this drama actually look sexy in their mini skirts, they got nice legs. Modern actresses literally look like skeletons, their leg bones like chopsticks in X shape clunking under the mini skirt, it is terrifyingly ugly.
Too many modern actors and actresses look *ill* ***anorexic*** pale poker-faced tired exhausted malnourished depressed non-expressive lethargic stagnant non-moving
So I TOTALLY LOVE this drama for the overal look and vibe of RADIANT HEALTH AND ENERGY AND VITALITY! SOOOOOOO NICE TO WATCH HEALTHY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
Yeah the series is long so Ms Park's dumbness is getting stale. Ms Park is so cringe, such cliche dumb damsel in distress REALLY dumb woman, to the point of being mentally disabled. Yet she is pretty and kind and socially aware, so she is treated as "desirable" when in reality, her IQ is about 100 and her mental capacity is like 6 yr old child - so her guy has to keep taking care of her. This is a major sexism in this drama. However, her guy is also rather mentally disabled too, he is not smart or rich either, and she is successful at work as a teacher, she is functional and socially respected, so in this drama sexism is not overdone to the cringe point like in modern kdramas.
So it is interesting how this "dumb woman requiring constant assistance of a man" concept has evolved in modern kdramas to make the woman a total loser and the man rich, controlling. and smart, i.e. the dumb damsel in distress concept is taken to extremely humiliating levels, obvious sexism and putting women down and exalting men. This imbalance leads to super boring 1-dimensional acting... yawn....
Luckily in this drama Mr. Yoon actor is very good at acting, and Ms. Park actress made the best out of her role too, so it is ok, she had smart twists and he is very expressive.
====
Nang was too hyperactive obnoxious, the acting was ... hm... a little too over the top at the start of the drama. Luckily he is kinda in the background the more you go into the drama and even acts as a mature wise kind compassionate guy
and the plot and the characters are so realistic, it is painful to watch the young TOTALLY immature dude buy like 10 hair pins... . but also that gives the drama the charm.... bc he finally bought her a Xmass gift and told her it is for her. It is nice to see progress :)
There should be season 4, that continues season 3... Bc I want to see what happened next...
I bet that ScooterGirl went to Rwanda and had a good time witih the Doctor, but also... I bet they broke up /never hooked up bc she is 16 yrs younger than him and not mature enough for him, and so I would think the best solution is that she came back to Korea to LongLegs, who, by then, will be an adult and a man.
Ms. Park and Mr. Yoon should have like 10kids, and I wonder if he still behaves crazy with that bat
The actress who is the freeloader female character that eventually works for Dr. Yoon is the weakest acting in the drama and that shows in all her future dramas
it was impressive to have a Caucasian actor in there and it is sad that modern kdramas do not use that
Dr. Yoon actor is phenomenal actor and it shows in his future dramas
Most recently, Heroes Next Door
ScooterGirl actress did a great job, as well as LongLegs actor -
Also Mom actress did a great job. It is strange that this is one of her last "nice" roles, when I saw her in Beauty and Mr Romantic and other dramas, her roles and acting were too.... cringe
Crystal actress did not have to act much, just go crazy. Her suitor is inrelatively similar category but he actually acted more complex stuff and did a good job

Pretože v Love in the Clouds mi vyslovene sadol a neviem si predstaviť, že by postavu Ji Bozaia stvárnil niekto iný. No v Back from the Brink, ako naivný dráčik Tian Yao ma vyslovene iritoval. No postava LJL ma dovádzala do šialenstva. Asi oko 20 epizódy to s ním proste šlo z kopca. Tu to bolo obdobné.
A to nemám nič proti sebavedomým samostatným ženám, no toto bolo trošku moc.
No boli veľmi dôležitým prvkom deja.
..............SPOILER...............
Už keď sme pri premene mužských osobností na zamilovaných hlupákov.....Rong Yun Shu a Bai Ying Sheng, to bol tiež ,,párik snov,, A znovu jeden zamilovaný, nesvojprávny hlupák. Zradila ho, klamala, ponížila, bodla a následne hodila do rieky....A čo on? A hlavne keď to neboli žiadne banality.
.............KONIEC SPOILERU.............
No ja medzi nich bohužiaľ nepatrím. Podľa hodnotení som očakávala niečo viac, no opäť sa mi tu potvrdilo moje pravidlo, že nie všetko, čo má skvelé hodnotenia, bude pre mňa to ,,pravé orechové,,. Mne tu chýbala hĺbka, hlavne čo sa týka citov. Priveľa chladu a vypočítavosti nebolo kompenzované dostatočným množstvom ľudskosti. Mne to tu trošku zaváňalo ženským šovinizmom a popravde nepatrím k prívržencom tohto postoja.

This is a must watch!!
I love this drama!! I first watched it when it came out and I loved the acting, the music, and the story line. Now a year has passed and I wanted to binge watch some asian shows again and stumbled across Ski Into Love, or Shh, The King Is Hibernating, and omggg after watching it again I still felt butterflies in my stomach and giggled like a little girl everytime something happened between Shan Chong and Wei Zhi!! I like it cause the characters don’t beat around the bush and take forever to get together! If I could watch this show for the first time again I would, but for now I just have to wait a while till I forget some of the plot.. hehe. I also want to say watching Ski Into Love really made me want to get into snowboarding so i’ll definitely try it out!If you really like a heartwarming , feel good show, then this is it. The actors have such good chemistry together it makes me wish it was actually real.

Good Idea, Poor Execution
My Issues1. The ML - Initially, the seemingly mean, and rude and ignorant behaviour, combined with the overly-friendly stalkerish behaviour with the pretty people, combined with his look, he was bouncing between clueless nerd and Jefferey Dahmer. He was either creepy or cringe. That, for me, was how it was until a short time after Su Miao died. It was more disturbing than humorous, and it was at least cringeworthy. His modern drama old man behaviour made things worse in this as well. He became more likeable from the end of episode nine.
2. The make-up situation - She clearly had makeup on most of the way through, there were only a couple of times that it looked like she might not have any on, once in the first episode, and when she was in bed. She was supposed to be not wearing make-up but it was too obvious that she was wearing a matt mask and smudged eye make-up, and sometimes had more on, and at least one of those times, she had a full face on when people were talking to her about putting make-up on as if she didnt already. Then, to make matters worse, she started applying make-up and it was just a cleaner version of what she'd been wearing all along.
3. Invisible issue, one - She became invisible and made a speech about not being able to let go of the filter, and it was obviously supposed to be this sad scene to do with her insecurities about her looks, but from what we saw, she never overindulged with the bracelet, it was just used to serve a purpose, and the only time she stayed longer than necessary as someone else was when she had no choice.
4. Invisible issue, two - It was obvious everyone kept looking directly at her face when she was invisible throughout, and when they reached out it was obvious they purposely avoided her.
5. The lead's relationship is awkward and cringy. I get that they're trying to do teen nerdy first love stuff, but it was weird, and I didnt believe they actually liked each other at all, they didn't even feel like friends and there was zero chemistry, and ALL the kisses were bad. Some people might have found them funny together but I just thought it was icky. There were moments that made them ok.
---------
I really liked the fun tech, and the music, and some of the more emotional scenes. Also, I like the second pairing a lot, and they are one of my all-time favs.
It was entertaining enough to keep watching, but that's it, there were too many big issues for me to find it more than mildly entertaining and decent on the whole.

In this era of change, love isn't just a feeling. It's a promise we keep through the storms of life
"I used to think I was unlucky...But only now do I realize that all good fortune had been saved up so I could meet you." — Fei Ni."Sometimes what we call bad luck is simply life's way of preparing us for something greater. If the road north is blocked, you take the long way around and maybe rest a while before you begin again."
Fei Ni is the kind of female lead you root for from the very first scene. A passionate reader with an unwavering dream of becoming a writer, her path to university is blocked at every turn and yet she refuses to stop. She doesn't just endure her circumstances, she embodies determination. Every setback, every failure only seems to sharpen her resolve.
And then there is Fang Mu Yang — the person her "bad luck" leads her to. What she doesn't know at first is that this chance encounter will turn out to be the greatest blessing of her life. Their chemistry is genuinely heartwarming, the kind that sneaks up on you quietly and then refuses to let go.
What stayed with me most wasn't the romance, though it was what the show says about having someone in your corner. Not a perfect person but someone who supports you whenever you need him/her. Fang Mu Yang is that person for Fei Ni and watching it made me realize how much that can change the weight of everything else — failure, poverty, uncertainty. None of it disappears, but somehow it stops feeling unsurvivable.
If you're looking for a story that pairs quiet resilience with a romance that actually feels earned. This one is worth every episode.

Fun, Enjoyable Movie
I recently rewatched this Thai film on aThai Airways flight and it reminded me why it left an impression on me the first time. One of the highlights for me is the chemistry between Baifern and the male lead. Their interactions feel natural and emotionally convincing. There’s a certain charm in how they play off each other that carries the film through both its lighter and more dramatic moments.
Having watched several other movies starring Baifern, I can confidently say I’ve become a fan. She brings a consistent warmth and hrt looks surely helps and this film is no exception. Her performance here is natural and believable.
Even though this movie was done 5 years ago, it still holds up well today. The themes feel relevant, and the overall execution remains enjoyable.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this movie—especially if you’re a fan of Thai cinema or looking to explore more of Baifern’s work. It’s an easy, satisfying watch.

Absolute peak Korean action cinema
First screened at Cannes 2026, when none were expecting anything new to come out from zombie franchises anymore, director/writer Yeon Sang Ho is here to prove them wrong, this time around with fresh new implementation and insanely stellar performances, even bested himself after all the monster flicks that he has done in recent years. It has plot development and storytelling that makes actual sense, the heightened suspense is top class from all the settings that they've built, which gave the movie one of the most convincing villains ever in Korean movies. Acting performance is intense and the action sequence is sleek and highly believable, absolutely peak Korean action cinema.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

a sad love story
The film was so beautiful but also sad. All the meanings are so sad, too. I cried a lot. Even so, the film healed something inside me. I can't say what, but it did.The story itself is so brilliant and sad at the same time. I also found the ending very beautiful. That Akito has a purpose in life finally, She left him things and the girl took over his role and visited him.

A definitely must-watch comedic crime story
I originally got curious about this show to see TXW in a different role, but what I got was a lot more.At first, I was a bit skeptical about the story since this was my first time watching a Chinese drama of this genre. But every click to the next episode, I got hooked by the curiosity on what comedic scene will play out next and how the ending will unravel. I also got overwhelmed on the number of characters involved in the plot initially, but turns out each played a significant role on the amazingly intricate woven plot of the show. The ending was also satisfying imo.
Overall, a great show indeed.

one of the best romance kdramas i watched lately
Perfect Crown was honestly such a fun watch for me. The plot was interesting from the start and it never felt boring, which I really liked because some dramas drag a lot in the middle but this one kept me hooked. The pacing was pretty solid too, not too fast but also not dragging, so every episode still made me want to continue right away. I also really loved the set design and overall visuals, everything looked so pretty and royal and fit the story so well. Even the villains were annoying in the best way possible, like they really made me mad but that just means they did their job well lol.And the romance?? omg I was fully invested. The chemistry between the leads was seriously so good, like every scene between them had that tension and softness that makes you want to keep staring at the screen. Their moments together were not just cute, they actually felt meaningful, and I was fangirling over every look, every small gesture, everything. The leads did such a good job too, especially with how they brought out the emotions so naturally. You can really feel their connection and it makes the whole love story hit harder.
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama a lot. The ending was satisfying for me and it left me feeling emotional in a good way, like sad it ended but also happy with how it wrapped up. Perfect Crown just has that kind of charm that makes it easy to get attached to, and for me it was one of those dramas that stays in your head even after finishing it. Definitely a really lovely watch and I would for sure recommend it to other romance lovers.

Beneath its luxurious and seductive aesthetic, the narrative belongs to a form of highly sanitized “historical fiction,” where historical facts, royal etiquette, and traditions are handled only superficially, almost carelessly. For viewers unfamiliar with the historical or cultural references being evoked, the experience can feel satisfying precisely because it demands no intellectual engagement or contextual reflection. Ultimately, the series offers neither genuine political reading, nor sociological depth, nor any meaningful reflection on the systems it portrays; instead, it accumulates a succession of images designed to be instantly “Instagrammable.”
Luxury thus becomes a narrative language in itself: prestigious cars, yachts, designer brands, lavish interiors… As for the work of the elite, it is portrayed in an almost caricatural way, reduced to repeated images of elegantly dressed characters sitting in front of computers inside refined offices. This sanitized representation of power and wealth contributes to a highly codified contemporary fantasy of social success, where appearance matters far more than actual function.
The lead actor, undeniably very handsome, is himself filmed as an aesthetic object. The direction fully embraces this catwalk-like presentation: slowed walks, flattering camera angles, and carefully composed shots constantly emphasizing his image, as though he were perpetually walking on a fashion runway. Here, he once again embodies the archetypal role audiences have already seen in many contemporary dramas. As for the chemistry between the leads, it works — though with certain reservations. Their acting is neither truly poor nor particularly remarkable; it simply remains effective within the standards of youth-oriented idol dramas.
The writing itself feels largely generative, assembled from already popular references. The opening episodes seem vaguely inspired by the media image of Harry and Meghan, yet in a fully softened and romanticized version. The visual universe and overall concept also strongly recall The King: Eternal Monarch starring Lee Min-ho, to the point that viewers familiar with the genre are no longer genuinely impressed either by the beauty of the aesthetics or by the fantasy-monarchy concept itself. This is especially true considering that the latter drama largely surpassed this one in terms of production and, direction

Realistic but frustrating
To be honest, I watched this drama a long time ago, but at the time I hadn’t discovered reviews or MDL yet! 🤣The acting was really good, I have to say. Although I’m not usually a fan of Moon Ka Young based on the dramas I’ve watched so far, she played her role very well here. Yoo Yeon Seok was excellent as always, and Keum Sae Rok felt very realistic too.
The plot, however, was something I didn’t like. Okay, I understand that it’s a realistic drama and that every character had their own personal issues, but still… the indecisiveness made me furious at times. I couldn’t stand how much Ahn Soo Young focused on the hesitation she saw in Sang Su. If it was such a big deal for her — understandable. Move on. There was no need to play with both his feelings and Jong Hyeon’s feelings.
By “playing with his feelings,” I mean all the constant back-and-forth behavior: getting close, pulling away, returning again, and then abandoning him again. Why? It wasn’t healthy even for her.
Mi Gyeong was controlling and manipulative because she knew Sang Su had feelings for her “friend.” Another manipulative thing she did, at least in my opinion, was trying to become close friends with Soo Young. Although she knew Sang Su wasn’t in love with her, she still pursued him, and in the end she got hurt, even though she knew from the beginning that his heart wasn’t hers. A bit delulu? Yes. You love at your own responsibility!
For the other guy I have nothing to say because for me it was like a side character in the whole story!a guy there is just to fill soo Youngs gap!sorry for Jong byeon, but to me he was just the other guy existing!
This is the kind of drama where the characters’ issues keep repeating over and over again, and at some point nobody even considers therapy. Soo Young kept running away from situations until the very end, and the reunions after several years felt unrealistic.
Her relationship with Jong Hyeon never really stood a chance, just like Sang Su and Mi Gyeong’s relationship didn’t. But honestly, even the relationship between Sang Su and Soo Young never truly stood a chance either. It was toxic. There was lingering attraction and yearning between them, but that was all. I never felt there was actual love. Their personal problems and emotional complexes were stronger than their feelings for each other. 🥲
I also would have liked to see more character development because the situations kept repeating like a cycle without the characters truly improving. Even by the end, I never felt that Soo Young had really changed. It honestly felt like she could abandon him all over again. That’s why the ending didn’t feel satisfying or hopeful to me — it felt unresolved in an emotional sense, not just in a romantic sense.
Even the open ending was frustrating to me. In the past, I probably would have wanted them to end up together for the fairytale ending, but as an adult now, I understand that realistically they wouldn’t.

“A shameless man with a wicked smile meets a tiger bodhisattva — and I may never recover.”
I don’t think words are enough for what To My Shore just did to me.What started as curiosity turned into complete emotional destruction.
Fan Xiao — shameless, wicked, manipulative, devastatingly charming — is the kind of character you should hate, yet somehow end up smiling every time he walks onto the screen. That wicked grin? Illegal. The audacity? Unmatched.
And then there is You Shulang — composed, restrained, heartbreak wrapped in quiet strength. The emotional weight he carries hurts in ways I genuinely did not expect.
Their relationship is messy, dark, obsessive, painful, magnetic — and somehow heartbreakingly beautiful.
Yes, the chemistry is insane.
Yes, the tension burns.
Yes, the spicy scenes deliver.
But what truly stayed with me was the heartbreak. The longing.
The emotional ache of two people crashing into each other, hurting each other, yet somehow becoming each other’s shore.
By the end, I wasn’t just watching.
I was grieving. Healing. Smiling through tears.😭😁
And when that reunion happened?
God.
Some dramas entertain you. Some dramas leave scars.
To My Shore possessed me.
Watch it.
Then watch it again.
Then stare at the wall wondering how anything else is supposed to compare.
