everyone should watch this.
I may have come out of this drama appreciating my parents far more than I did before watching it. There was not a single episode where I didn’t cry. What stayed with me the most was the generational shift between the mothers and daughters. A mother who refused to let her daughter join the sea because she didn’t want her to suffer the same hardships, only for that daughter to later refuse to keep her own daughter confined to the kitchen and instead help her fly towards a completely different life. That progression hit me deeply.
And I’ll be honest that there were moments where I found Geum Myeong frustrating, especially during the arguments with Ae-Sun (her mother). But then it hit me: “Oh… I’m just like her.” That realization humbled me so fast. It made me rethink all the moments where I may have unintentionally hurt my parents without ever stopping to understand the weight they carried to become the people they are today.

an adrenaline rush disguised as a Cdrama + the BGM alone deserves an award
Just when I thought I had finally grasped the plot, the writers would throw in another twist and completely change the trajectory of the story. It genuinely blew my mind how they managed to fit in so many arcs while still keeping everything engaging instead of messy. The pacing is extremely fast but somehow it works perfectly with the intense, high-stakes aura the drama was going for. There’s barely any breathing room, yet it never felt dragging to me.
Also, the BGM during the fight and tense scenes? Absolutely incredible. It added so much weight and adrenaline to the overall experience.
But beyond the action and twists, what really stayed with me was the chemistry and trust between the leads, the sibling bond between the sisters and the costumes. The drama just had this grand, emotionally charged atmosphere that made it so easy to stay invested.

What a mess…
Wow… That was a complete mess. The plot was all over the place. Totally illogical. Choppy editing. Loads of little inconsistencies and continuity errors. Oftentimes zero transitions between scenes or emotions. Terribly written with awkward dialogue. The characters each spoke Thai, Korean, or English as, like, a character trait for no discernible reason. The whole thing felt beneath the dignity of the actors, especially Jeff. Jeff did his absolute best with what he was given. You could tell he was really trying to put genuine emotion and nuance into his acting, but there was only so much he could do with what he had to work with. I pretty much only stuck it out for him, and I guess it was diverting enough. Nothing overtly offensive, but also just so ridiculous and low quality entertainment. But maybe it was also kind of what I needed this week. Just to totally turn off my brain. Was this review helpful to you?

The chemistry may have been on fire, but are we really going to ignore how foolishly written the FL was in the military setting? Some of her actions genuinely bordered on conduct that would’ve led to serious military punishment if she weren’t the FL with plot armor protecting her every move.I respect her for being fearless, strong-minded, and unapologetically “girlboss" but there’s a difference between being bold and constantly defying military strategies without consequences. At times, it felt less like intelligence or bravery and more like the writers bending logic of her being Marquis' wife.
And even if she unknowingly took certain steps because she didn’t know her husband was a Marquis, that still doesn’t erase how reckless some of those decisions were within the context of the military hierarchy.

A Royal Drama with modern way
Perfect Crown is honestly one of the most enjoyable K-dramas I’ve watched this year.IU and Byeon Woo-seok carry the drama with performances that feel natural and emotionally sincere. Their chemistry is one of the biggest strengths of the series. Even the quieter scenes between them feel meaningful and never forced.
What I liked most is that beneath all the royal politics and glamorous visuals, the story feels surprisingly human. It explores loneliness, responsibility, and the way two people slowly become each other’s source of comfort.
The drama is not flawless. Some parts move a little slowly, and a few twists are predictable. But the strong acting, beautiful cinematography, and emotional depth make it easy to stay invested.
Even if the ending doesn’t exceed expectations, I feel this drama will still remain one of the most memorable and satisfying Korean dramas of 2026

When Two Great Performances Turn an Imperfect Drama into Something Unforgettable
I’ll be real — Perfect Crown isn’t a perfect drama. Some episodes drag a little, and a few plot twists are easy to predict. But somehow, that doesn’t stop it from being incredibly compelling.IU and Byeon Woo-seok are the heart of this series. The way they play off each other feels effortless and deeply genuine. After a while, it stops feeling like a glamorous royal drama and starts feeling like a story about two lonely people trying to navigate duty, pressure, and the simple desire to find someone who truly understands them.
That emotional honesty is what stayed with me the most.
In my opinion, if IU and Byeon Woo-seok weren’t part of this project, the drama wouldn’t have had nearly the same impact. They carry the story with performances that add warmth and depth to every scene.
I’m calling it now: regardless of how the final episodes unfold, Perfect Crown will remain one of the most impactful and memorable Korean dramas of 2026 for me.

Horrible acting, cinematography and fight scenes
I started watching this drama because I loved VIP with Jang Na Ra as the female lead. I don’t usually attempt to watch dramas with anything less than a rating of 8 but this was 7.9 so I figured I’ll give it a try since she was starring in it.I’ve only just watched 2.5 episodes and can no longer continue as I feel it will be a waste of my time. The acting is horrible and Cinematography and fight scenes are horrendous. Cameraman shakes the camera every time during close-up fight scenes to cover up for bad fight choreography which is such a put-off.
Just like in VIP, the male lead is not attractive (lol), but if everything else is superb (e.g. cinematography, plot, pace, acting), then I can still overlook the negatives and enjoy the drama. It was not so in this case.
This joins my list of dislikes like:
1) Descendants of the Sun (watched only 1 episode. Too much ads and the end of episode 1 was so silly)
2) Hometown Cha Cha Cha (watched 10 episodes. Nothing interesting happens with each passing episode)
3) Doctor Slump (somehow managed up to episode 15 and couldn’t bring myself to watch the last. Nothing interesting and significant about this show too).
4) Eve (watched till the end. Bad acting and tango dancing. Least they could do was to hire a professional dancer to train the female lead. The role she plays is supposed to be a trained dancer but it looked like she just learned those lousy moves off YouTube.)
5) Where Stars Land (watched till episode 5. Nothing interesting happening)
6) Legend of the Blue Sea (watched 2 episodes. Unattractive female lead, which could have been overlooked if not for the also bad acting, silly fight scenes and sound effects).
So if you concur with some of my dislikes list, you might not enjoy this drama too.

The fanservice it’s not serving! Waiter, I wanted more!
It doesn't add much to the plot, or the series as a whole, which is expected since it's a special (and one focused on a specific couple!)It doesn't exactly develop them as a couple either, it's more a fanservice special. Which is NOT a problem at all! But, since it's fanservice… I would have liked more if it had more yk, service!
But it's cute and quick and lovely! It's totally skippable, but it's also not unpleasant to watch!

Gateway to cdramas
This drama rightly sucked me into cdramas. I binged it all and had sleepless nights. The cinematography, makeup, acting - were all detailed and beautiful. Both leads made my heart thump and swoon. The relationships between the families are too confusing for me to understand, but I think even if that is the case, understanding the minimum is still enough to enjoy through it.
Totally recommend this drama!!

OHHH GOD! I have a lot to say!We have 2 main couples here, and 2 hints about two other couples that are having their arcs aired now (as the time that I’m writing this). But, let’s focus on the couples of this season and on the main points that I like to touch in my reviews!
The story itself is a little… I can't say that it's strong! The first 6-7 episodes are SO BORING, and that's totally because HillTer are… insufferable. I kept watching bcs my friend already warned me: If you pass the first 6 episodes, believe me, it's going to get fun! And she was right!
What I didn't like in HillTer story is that it just goes round and around. If they just… SIT and properly talk in maybe episode 2, the problem would be gone and by episode 3 they would already be dating. I also personally don't enjoy miscommunication plots, but this one specifically is insufferable… I also didn't like the flashbacks bcs as I said: it goes round and around and we are still getting into NOTHING. It moves so slow and repetitive!
Then, we get to JohanNorth… and that's, my friend, when it gets FUN! Well, honestly, their story itself feels a little confused and rushed, then later it makes more sense but still… it does have some little holes in the story and when I think about the storyline alone… it's weird. But OH MY GOD.
MaxkyBas chemistry is out of this planet. And their kisses are FIRE. It's been a long time since I saw such hungry kisses and it was amazing. What totally saves their arc is how they're such good actors and have such a strong chemistry that you are convinced by their story in the end, even if it's not very rational.
PondEarth are also great actors! It's just that I didn't like their characters much, and most of the time I have to admit that Earth's character was a little annoying…
The directing, in general, as expected of New Siwaj, is awful. Not his worst work, definitely, but it's the same thing as P10L or A Boss and a Babe: the amazing cast saves the day.
It's fun and enjoyable to watch! I'm definitely on my way to continue watching and go for season 2 now!

You must watch it...so that you will not regret??
Today, I would like to share my review about the Chinese drama Zhan Zhao Adventures. This drama is a wonderful combination of action, mystery, history, and emotional storytelling that truly captures the attention of viewers. One of the best things about this drama is its exciting martial arts scenes. The fight choreography looks realistic, intense, and beautifully executed. Unlike some dramas that rely too much on visual effects, Zhan Zhao Adventures gives viewers a classic wuxia feeling that makes every battle more thrilling and meaningful.
Another strength of the drama is the character of Zhan Zhao. He is portrayed as brave, intelligent, loyal, and committed to justice. His character inspires viewers because he always fights for what is right despite the dangers and challenges he faces. The supporting characters also add depth and emotion to the story, making the drama more engaging.
The storyline is also very impressive because it is not only focused on romance but also on mystery, investigation, friendship, and honor. Every episode keeps viewers curious and excited about what will happen next. The cinematography, costumes, and historical setting are visually stunning and help bring the story to life.

When you are innocent but dumb that lead to your doom
*Sigh* DEEP HEAVY SIGHAmbitious writing but disaster in coherence and execution. Over the top emphasis on a CYCLE OF PAIN. Glorified love story. Poorly written female character. The chemistry of the 2 leads that the story painstakingly revolved with is 0 - I skipped all their parts. Honestly, I don't get the rating-it's a bit high considering the repetitive dragged story.
The choice to write an immaculate perfect female character like, "it's her immaculate presence against the deranged lives around her." Made her character act as the "savior" of all the seemingly lost souls and at the expense of her sanity. HAHAHAHA INSANELY RIDICULOUS take to make an impression for these 20 dragging episodes. For the fate she suffered-honestly there were a lot of stupidity in her decisions-extremely dumb over the top innocence-in real life innocence won't save you-it's awareness, clarity and priorities and the grit to make the right decisions in the best way that you can. Easier said than done yes-but in here the female lead even has her best friend who has the best character development- the most levelheaded and as you can see the one who survived despite her background and suffering, she had growing up.
If there's anything the male protagonist and the female lead best friend are the best characters in this. Considering they have the most difficult conditions and mental struggle due to their family situation-yet they have the most character development.
The ensemble of is also good-their acting is really good, and they really carried the ambitious writing of this production. The only thing is the chemistry of the 2 different female leads with the male protagonist are just ZERO difficult to watch I can't even find the comfort that they like to convey in their story- instead of feeling empathetic- I just can't help to scold them like a true parent-like "KIDS you are walking straight into your doom!"
Also-the attempt to touch the concept of mental health-reaching out to those who need it-please no! Don't even think about that-this is just a marketing strategy of glorified pain without actually being grounded. I felt insulted at their take like huh? You made it into thriller-romance-horror-gory type and later claiming it as medium to reach out for mental health awareness-that's peak marketing bull!
My only comfort in this is the actress playing chou pin yu she's such a great actress and also beauty. One to watch out for as a rising actress! VERY little screen time and yet impactful one- I honestly watched this because of her and to my devastation she's almost nonexistent/ OK BYE next time I would read reviews to save my time.
Ending this review with a sigh after starting it sighs of utter disappointment!
