Hella Drama and I ATE it upppp
So fun!! I honestly had a great time watching this drama, even though it is as messy as everyone says lol. I literally had to write out a relationship chart/ diagram for my friend who was watching it with me so she could follow what was happening.I think I need to go back and rewatch some more FirstKhao dramas because this drama gave me a whole new appreciation for their pairing. I wish they went more into Ray's history and everything with his mom a little more, his character had a lot of depth and development which I loved I just think e could understand a little more of his hesitation with Sand and his addictions more if we knew a little more about him. Even 1 flashback scene with his mom would've sufficed.
ForceBook has some undeniable chemistry, I am already a fan of them so I was excited to watch them in another drama and they nailed it like always. I was honestly expecting Top to be a little more red flag than he was, I thought it was cute that he became more green flag the more he fell for Mew but I just wanted more drama and I love red flag Force so I wish he was more toxic through the whole series... Regardless I loved their development as a couple, their relationship really felt real/ natural. I liked how Mew didn't give in and forgive Top so easily, he had to actually work for it and prove he had changed so that was nice.
Now lets get this out of the way first, I LOVE Neo and so I was more lenient wit Boston in this series than I probably should have been. Neo was a hot mess and I looooved the drama he brought lol, I was eating it up every episode. I also LOVE Mark so seeing him get hurt time and time again by Neo was a hard watch for me personally. I did love their pairing a lot, if Boston could get his act together than they would actually make a really good couple. They were so cute and I loved the short amount of moments we got of them as a couple, but it was right for Nick to choose himself in the end and for them to part ways.
All in all I loved the cast and I think each actor portrayed their character really well, the storyline was juicy but very rushed at the end. I felt like they were just throwing things at us in the last episode that were unnecessary but I still really enjoyed this. I am excited to watch Dream On now and maybe see Boston get a redemption arc???

Reborn with misunderstanding
Some dramas entertain you for a moment, and some quietly stay with you after the last episode ends. Threads of Destiny is one of those dramas for me.At first glance, it looks like another rebirth-and-marriage C-drama: two sisters, a swapped marriage, household schemes, jealous rivals, and a husband who seems careless on the surface. But what makes this story stand out is how much heart it carries beneath all the palace-style politics.
The story follows Jiang Xueying, played by Zhu Lilan, the eldest daughter of the Jiang family, who is reborn along with her younger sister Jiang Yu’er. Instead of repeating her old mistakes, she changes her fate by switching marriages and stepping into a dangerous world filled with manipulation, hidden enemies, and survival games inside the household. ()
What I loved most was that Jiang Xueying was not written as a loud, reckless heroine. She was patient, intelligent, and strategic. She fought with her mind, not just her emotions. Watching her slowly reshape her destiny felt satisfying instead of rushed.
Qin Tianyu as Lu Junxing brought surprising depth to the male lead. He starts off looking like the typical spoiled heir, but his growth felt natural. Their relationship didn’t rely on cheap misunderstandings for too long—it gradually became a true partnership, and that made the romance far more rewarding.
What really gave this drama weight, though, was the darker side stories. The women around them—especially characters like Su Wanrong, Liu Rumei, and Lin Yuejian—showed how cruel the feudal system could be. Their tragedies reminded us that not every woman in these stories gets a second chance. Some are simply crushed by the world they were born into. That part made the ending bittersweet instead of simply “happy ever after.” ()
At only 26 episodes, the pacing felt sharp and didn’t drag, which is rare for many revenge-and-rebirth dramas. Yes, there were melodramatic moments, but they served the emotional tension instead of ruining it. It’s a short drama, but it feels fuller than many longer productions. ()
For me, Threads of Destiny is not just about romance—it is about survival,

Messy revenge but the kisses were hot & brothers were handsome
This drama was reuploaded on one of the YouTube channels that I follow and I got curious. The leads were unfamiliar to me and since ML called FL jiejie, I decided to continue watching. The drama has confusing plot but overall I liked it.What I liked:
1. Acting - I must say Zhang Shuo Hang was captivating on screen. He brought a little crazy in his character but not a red flag. He and Chu Qian Yue had excellent chemistry. I also enjoyed the performance by Yang Cheng Yan, the actor who portrayed Ye Hai.
2. Romance - High sexual tension with good push & pull dynamics. The kisses were hot. The playful banter at the end was so sweet.
3. Visuals - I appreciated the beautiful faces of Zhang Shuo Yang and Yang Cheng Yan. Zhang Shuo Hang had slight resemblance to kpop idol Taeyong of NCT. Chu Qian Yue kinda look similar to Zhao Xi Xi.
4. Ending - That last scene after the epilogue was random & confusing but I liked it a lot.
5. ML characterisation - I liked his coquettish behaviour. Sly like a fox.
What I disliked:
1. Revenge - The revenge plan was messy. She was angry with her ex husband for cheating on her and criticising her dead parents. To investigate her parents' death, she propositioned young CEO who turned out to be ML's half brother. I expected FL to investigate but the drama was more focused on the love triangle.
2. Styling - The outfits worn by FL were unflattering. Very retro, grandma style.
3. Antagonists - FL's ex husband & his mistress were terrible. ML's father was horrible too.

Watch for the hard work of cast, it’s enjoyable enough.
Whatever your expectations are to want to start this whether it be for the veteran cast, or the romance aspect of mid aged leads, or the hotel industry, that’s all here packed. Starting out with a clear picture of what happened to Mi Yu, the female protagonist, you’re drawn in to her story, her life. From there, layered is her rise from her life’s pit, in the hotel industry. Nothing too extraordinary about the story that is pretty predictable if you’ve watched a lot of cdramas of heroines rise from the ashes. So what’s to like? The mirror of life through Mi Yu’s. Simple as that. It isn’t written perfectly if you’re opinionated, and I humbly say that not from expertise but having lived long with some good recognition of good flows. However, it is not for the worst from hundreds others. In fact, it’s not bad at all if you’re here for a flowing story with many layers of humanity whether personal or in the career field. Go for it, it’s entertaining, and the cast deserves recognition of their work bringing entertainment to your screen. I’m almost done with it and it’s been a good look forward daily.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Update: finished last thoughts. TIL the end it was satisfying. Everything worked out perfectly for the heroine even if a bit too cheesy or coincidental. That’s good. It’s nice to see happy endings because there’s way too much sadness all around the world. Worth the watch.

Better than the rating suggests
I don’t know what’s with all the negative reviews on here but this is a great little drama. Seems people are mad it’s not the neat and tidy romance they wanted, but it never claims to be. A solid story about a toxic relationship between very human characters with a fitting ending, and the actors have great chemistry (physical and emotional). If you don’t require cookie cutter happy endings in your dramas I recommend it.Was this review helpful to you?
Best crime suspense drama of this year
All the actors have done their job professionally. All the actors acting is top notch,They haven't overly exaggerated the plot.Every episode are short, compact and full of creative events. In most of the drama, where main character are either given light sentence, forgiven ,this drama has shown the true meaning of justice,If you are right you deserve praise if you are wrong you deserve punishment even the harsh one,The major problem I found with cdramas is for fulfilling episodes number they just add annoying supporting characters or agencies force more screentime to the support character just to promote them which make the story deflecting and boring where the skip button is used but in this drama there is no such things,Truly the most underrated cdrama right now,MDL rating has become a joke 🤣 where people come to pour their jealousy or envy,Nowadays you cannot judge a drama only based on ratings.I recommend everyone to watch this drama and judge for themselves.Dont believe this MDL rating,it was just envious peoples doing. Some childish fans downrate the drama just because they cannot digest other actors success, performance and just because it is of another genre not romance genre.

John Wick meet K Wick
I put this on the back burner for a long time because I wasn't sold on the synopsis. If only someone said "John Wick meet K Wick" then I'll know exactly what I'm in for because this is just action packed with great fight choreography and a gritty dead inside character who is just going on a revenge spree.
Story is basic and I can't give this full points only because John Wick does world building out of the one dimensional characters but this is not world building. The characters are all one dimensional which is fine because the focus is on revenge and slicing people up.
There's no cute girls which is great like if they threw in a idol girl that just changes the dynamic of the series. In fact there are no girls because this is a series for men of men.
Acting is one dimensional like I only disliked the out of character moment where no spoiling but he isn't just dead inside with compassion but he ended up doing a bit too much in one conversation which I felt was unnecessary.
I also felt like the actors that supported the lead whether fighting him or just entangled didn't show any genuine fear. The show would have been amplified if they made him a demon like hearing his name sends chills and the new generation would witness this throughout the development of the series and ends with them cowering in fear. That's kind of what is missing because it felt like all this destruction and yet you aren't afraid of a monster hunting you? ... at least I wasn't sold on the acting because their fear felt bland.
Otherwise I was in it for the violence, the gritty-nature and fast paced story telling of revenge.
What's more impressive is some shows tend to make what I consider should be easy fights into hard fights. In this show I was surprised at just seeing him kick ass but it would have been better if he simply didn't get hurt as much because it should be like One Punch Man or Mashle just overpowered which explains why he became a legend in the gangs.
The ending felt good too which I like.
I actually hope there's a season 2 just exploring how this guy became a legend and feared among the gangs but then they'd have to make him look way younger.

Classic K-Drama Goodness
Lovely classic style K-romcom with mad chemistry and excellent kissing scenes. 😍😍😍 It does suffer a bit from dragging out the inevitable-but-very -k-drama-typical-get-together-syndrome. But this drama is a favorite for me because it contains everything I am looking for in a drama. The range of emotions that the ML shows in this drama was super enjoyable to watch The supporting cast making up their ML’s research group that develops a cutting-edge humanoid robot is fun to watch because they are so goofy, yet serious. This different and interesting drama was more than just a romance, but drama (without going full on melodrama, tons of comedic quirkiness, moments of tension, so cute it makes you smile and the ML's anguish is so convincing it brings a tear to your eye. Totally bingeable and re-watchable. Highly recommended.

There's a parallel between the pills people take to get through their studies, to stay awake and focused, doping in sports, and this app. King showed how the 1980s in America had put a price on everything, on dignity, on life, and that nothing can ever be free in that world. That's exactly what If Wishes Could Kill does. At least, at first. Starting with episode 2, it takes a different turn and partially abandons the social critique aspect.
People start acting a little crazy, but they're teenagers, so we cut them some slack. Of course, a shaman and her sidekick have the solution. The series chooses to go back to the origin of the curse rather than just explore its consequences and the social subtext that comes with them. We might think it's going to be a total mess ! Well, not really. Its actually pretty cool. Even a little funny at times.Yeah, really.
So, paradoxically, it ends up as a story stripped of its fantastical elements. It abandons them to focus exclusively on friendship, on misunderstanding and lies.
Jeon So-young acts far better than her young co-stars. It's quite striking to see the effort she puts into her lines compared to the others. She's head and shoulders above them.
Anything involving the eyes... I just can't handle it ! It terrifies me.

Memorable with unique setup of mysteries
The start of the series was fantastic with the depiction of an every day couple living out their lives normally to suddenly getting drawn into the unfolding of many secrets. The unexpected turn of events will have you on the edge of the seat in anticipation of what is going down. After reading the summary, I had held off on this for a while because it sounded like another merchant-political driven story line that will drag on around this "ship case". But this definitely wasn't the case. Although it does hover over a main arc, the leads encounter numerous mysteries that are individual cases on its own. And though not perfect, the mystery plots here are done much better than some series that are specifically geared for it.It's actually quite refreshing as well to see a couple who came from different walks of life. One from the streets and one with a scholar background. It depicts how despite the one "more sheltered" would have no idea what it feels like to grow up in the ghetto, he was still quite capable of protecting his wife in his own way. As for the rest of the family, while it's quite convenient for each member to have different and high capabilities, it is refreshing to see how each member actually had value to add.
The main flaw for me was the plot flow does start to slow down quite a bit after the initial arc. But not really to the point where you will feel the need to speed up the scenes. It just takes a different shift from the initial impression. I also do wish that more time was spent on the aftermath development of the relationships between the characters. There were many established bonds that kind of fell of because they wanted to continue moving the plot forward. So while events do trigger emotions, it was more of a tear or two instead of heavy tear-jerking. The ending also didn't feel completely satisfactory but I still appreciated that it wasn't a complete tragedy of even more deaths.
The other two nice perks with the series is that 1) I expected it to be completely somber but there is more than plenty of humorous moments that will make you smile and bond with the characters and 2) the tidbits of the historical facts with the Song dynasty at the end of each episode was a nice touch.

Every time you think "It cannot possibly go there", it GOES there.
The number of times I thought "oh well it cannot be that cruel" It is insanely cruel ruthless and hard. I would never have survived the palace lmao. Great game, esp for sticking to its principles throughout and not having any noticeable plotholes or discrepancies. The plot has been thought out really well by people who are obv smarter than me and i love that. Was this review helpful to you?
35 years ago do you remember when it happened it happened 35 years ago DO YOU REMEMB
This is the greatest example of "Great idea BAD execution". Everything important they told could be said in like 10 episodes. Which is funny, cause it's the same amount of episodes where the plot took an absolutely ridiculous twist. It seems like they scratched the initial idea of the main killer, panicked, and created some bs out of thin air. The last three episodes were absolute nothingburger, which is saying something, cause the same goes for about the half of screentime of each episode. So, yes, their grand idea went to hell, and you can tell. And i didn't even said anything about the characters yet. Eugene started out strong, ended up as an empty shell acting as a therapist for other characters. Jae Hwan started as a funny dumbass ended as a useless annoying dumbass with no development at all. Jung Yeop and Hyo Gyeong were AMAZING the best characters ever in this dull show until someone in the writing room decided wait they're too cool, let's make them worse for no reason at all. I guess Jae Hwans stupidity is contagious.
I'm giving it this rating because it COULD be good. An amazing idea was there. But it just didn't happen.
ALSO i forgot to mention that this show thinks that you're, the viewer, is dumb as rocks, so it chews everything for you 100 times like a mama bird.
