This show is one of the few shows I've managed to complete this year, but it doesn't mean it's one of the best release of the year. It's a great show to watch if you have a lot of free time and are in need of some entertainment, but do mind that it is important to not pay strong attention to the details and how the shows goes, as it will degrade the watching experience as this show felt as if it was just made to only entertain the audience by adding a whole lot of twists, which sure at first may be enjoyable at first but the moment you start questioning how exactly is possible good luck continuing the show.

One of the key highlights of this show is the main actor Lee Jun Young's acting, as someone known to play the bully in a lot of shows, it's refreshing to see him play someone who isn't a highschooler, as its getting tiring to keep on seeing 30 year olds play highschoolers. Additionally, I must applaud his talent as this show basically required him to play two different roles which isn't an easy task.

Overall, a decent show to watch to waste your time, great show to watch if you are a fan of the actors or so happen to enjoy family kdramas.

My July Recommendation movie

As usual Japan brings us unusual romance dramas… Haha…

The story follows Eriko Ichimura, a plain and completely ordinary high school student who fades into the background at her school. To escape her boring reality, she spends her time fantasizing about the school's most popular boy, Akira Ohmi. Her ultimate hobby is taking to Twitter under the anonymous handle "Lovesick Ellie," where she posts wild, thirsty, and deeply dramatic romantic fantasies about a boyfriend who looks exactly like Ohmi.

Her quiet life is turned upside down when she accidentally overhears a private conversation between Ohmi and teacher, Sumi Shiota. Through this, she realizes that Ohmi is not the sweet Prince Charming everyone thinks he is; he is actually a rude, bratty, and grumpy "two-faced" boy. To make matters worse, she panics and drops her phone, and Ohmi picks it up, discovering her embarrassing, secret Twitter account.

Rather than exposing each other, the two strike an uneasy compromise to keep each other's secrets safe. As they spend more time together, Ohmi becomes increasingly intrigued by Eriko's bizarre fantasies and quirky personality, while Eriko finds herself falling for the flawed, real version of the boy she only used to admire from afar.

What I like:
+ What bizarre personality Eriko has. Truly only Japan can come out with this kind of personality / behaviour.
+ How in the end Eriko is like a magnet that pulls some quirky friends too…
+ How Ohmi never belittles nor mock Eriko's bizarre fantasies and quirky personality.
+ I really love how Eriko never hides her quirky personality / behaviour in front of Ohmi, the boy she has a crush on…

Overall I’m happy I can watch this. For you who search for something quirky to watch yet not too bizarre nor cringy, this can be your choice…

always been into this enemy to lovers trope, that's why I'm so into this. awal-awal tuh suka poll sama penokohan, storylinenya, esp waktu mereka masih hs. I'm with everyone, cast mudanya harus dibuatin drakor tersendiri karena chemistrynya itu cocok poll. paling suka sama intronya, elegan gitu dan animasinya juga cantik. t-t-tapi dari tengah ke akhir idk why but romancenya jadi agak "cringe". prolly image jun jihoon yang udah sangar jadi kurang cocok gitu main yang romance comedy. huhu big no banget sama wardrobe mereka, esp buat yoon jiwon dibuat terlalu santai dan ya ga bagus aja gitu apa lagi dibanding sama rekan kerjanya yang lebih rapih. iya sih ngerti guru OR tapi coba stylish difigure out lagi next timenya gimana. yaudah sih storyline simpel aja, termasuk slow pace. hong mingi kiw 🫦

kesel banget sama para pelaku sampe harus mengheningkan cipta demi kewarasan ini. dabel yu storyline dan para cast yang berhasil dapetin hati dan air mata aku. again.. this is someone's life yang nyesek poll. hell nah untuk saudari dan mama si noh jinpyo, bener-bener sekeluarga ga ada adab padahal pemuka publik semua waheduks 🤬😤😠💢💢 nono ya jadi seperti mereka. chemistry eunsu n sobaek terluvluv. kayak kdrama celebrity yang even tho no too much skinship n kissing, chemistrynya tidak dapat dipungkiri. hate you to the bone jangkang, u manusia paling ga tau diuntung sumpah. udah mah ketemu keluarga n dibuat glow up malah ngelunjak buat metas uang orang lain. karma is real for you at the end, ga dapet apa2 juga kan hahayuk.

Um filme feito para sentir

Só o Japão poderia criar um filme tão sensível quanto esse, tão carregado de significado em (literalmente) tão poucas palavras. É um filme que se sente e, mesmo que de modo geral não aconteça muita ação, não cheguei a ficar entediada. A narrativa é tão suave, e até o final segue a mesma linha!

Eu amei, com certeza verei de novo, para analisar com calma os detalhes das cenas e dos diálogos, porque esse filme é sobre isso: sutis mensagens que não são percebidas no dia a dia sobre a vida em si. É um bom filme pra refletir (só não sei se conseguirei ter o mesmo sentimento que eu tive ao ver a última cena)

This is not BL

If you are expecting BL (I was) and are incapable of pivoting (I am) you won't like this. I made the adjustment and binged this relatively short series in one go. I found the first episode really annoying and almost stopped watching. Stick it out. It gets more interesting. I didnt necessarily love the main characters, but I dont think I was supposed to. This isnt a feel good series. Its a realistic slice of life series that doesnt end with a bouquet of roses. I was surprised to find myself very invested and quite emotional by the end of the last episode. I would not have predicted that at the conclusion of episode 1.

A refreshing reminder that even the biggest stars need saving sometimes

Idol I lands as a refreshingly grounded and engaging series that dares to peek behind the heavily curated curtains of the K-pop industry. It successfully blends a high-stakes murder mystery with a mature exploration of fandom culture, setting itself apart from typical fluffy rom-coms. By centering the story around a skilled defense attorney who secretly harbors a decade-long dedication to her favorite group, the drama subverts the usual star-and-fan dynamic. When her ultimate bias is framed for the murder of a bandmate, the narrative transforms into a compelling push-and-pull game of faith, resilience, and professional boundaries.

The strongest asset of the drama is its thoughtful commentary on parasocial relationships and the intense pressures of fame. The male lead delivers a standout performance, capturing the painful duality of his character. We see the polished, charismatic idol on stage contrasted with the vulnerable, cynical, and isolated human being fighting for his innocence behind closed doors. His raw emotional moments and psychological struggles feel genuinely moving. On the other side, the female lead brings a realistic, ethical approach to fandom. She respects his privacy and safety, showing that true support means standing by someone quietly through their darkest hours rather than feeding into wild fantasies.

While the romance takes a backseat to the legal battle for most of the show, the slow-burning intellectual respect between the leads feels earned. The cohabitation trope is utilized well to build natural chemistry, leading to a satisfyingly sweet payoff in the final stretch. Excellent soundtracks further elevate the emotional weight of key scenes, creating an immersive atmosphere.

However, the drama is not without its flaws. The legal procedures can feel a bit too creative or convenient at times, which might frustrate fans of hardcore courtroom thrillers. Additionally, while the ending is mostly satisfying, the pacing in the final hour feels slightly rushed. A few major subplots, like the storyline surrounding her father's retrial, are left without complete closure. Despite these minor narrative missteps, Idol I remains a highly entertaining and warm watch. It succeeds because it treats idols as real humans and fans as capable individuals, making it a worthy choice for anyone seeking a meaningful story about identity and trust.

DARE I SAY TRIGGER MASUK TO MY TOP TIER LIST, seru banget syumpah!! walau pistol ilegal, tapi di sini jadi paham betul motif kenapa tiap pelaku harus menggunakannya. bahkan kalau mereka ga nembak rasanya justru jadi kesel. every experience pasti someone's reality. suka polisinya ga ada yang nerima suap dan si villain juga kayaknya emang ga suap polisi manapun deh.. but anw the villain is too hot to hate sih LOL. ntah lah dari awal udah baik gitu jadi kurang dapet feel kuat to hate :p no boring scene, ended this in ONE night karena segatahan itu untuk next episode. ailofyu TRIGGER 🔫💣 banyak fine shyt bertato juga aw

Comfort series with wholesome storyline, great acting, and music

I only discovered US the series in April 2026 when it was already a year old since it first released in Jan 2025. So I may be biased as I get to watch the whole series all at once and it really was a magical wholesome experience, going through the journey of Pam and Dokrak.

The story is really a love story of how relationship and character development evolved from love to commitment to one another. Once you found that someone who make you feel at peace, you hold each other hands and navigate life twist and turn together.

The cast and their acting are top tier. Actresses who portrayed Pam and Dokrak were both new to GL series but they crushed it in their respective roles. Both characters were grounded in our everyday life. Genuine, caring and understanding, which give the audience the sense of comfort.

Soundtracks and the scoring of the show is also exceptional. This one is really top notch and thanks to the director in blending the background so well to each scenes, giving the audience the higthened feelings of longing, romantic, sad, being in love etc so so well. Ost of the show is one of the best. The leads lend their singing talents, allowing the characters to be able to advance the story through their singing talent.

All in all, the is one of the series that I keep coming back to for re-watch. The comfort value that it gives deserve a great shout out.

Pleasently Suprised

WOW Gong Seung-Yeon is amazing actress, this was such a good performance from her!!

The storyline was intriguing enough for me to finish as well as the acting being good. My first IU and Byeon Woo Seok dramas. I enjoyed her acting, at first I didn’t even realize it was her because I didn’t look at the actress name when I started watching. I think I’m going to check out lovely runner soon because I also enjoyed his performance too.

At times the plot was predictable but in a good way. There were many times where I had to pause for a minute and freak out.
