Fandom rant

I feel like to actually enjoy this drama you need to be more immersed in the story than your average action focused dramas.

I mean, to get the full experience, it's best to read the weak hero webtoon. Although you'll be quite disappointed in the live action, so I recommend watching it first and THEN reading the webtoon version.

I really liked how they gave beomseok such a realistic character and it became quite difficult to hate him. (Not for most people, but me at least...)
I could go on for HOURS taking about him, his motives, his feelings, his thought process.

But most people in this fandom dont appreciate that. They only like you if you ship suho with sieun, and oh boy don't even get me started on how annoying this is.

They dumb down their entire characters as just them being in love with each other, and also SWEAR they're canon, because the director said it!! I promise you we do not care. They would be canon if they had romantic dialogue in the drama itself. Where is that? Nowhere. They also swear weak hero is a bl which I find hilarious lol.

Anyhow. This is just me ranting about the issues within the fandom...so spare yourself from joining really. There is nothing interesting in here only people shipping jihoon and hyunwook mindlessly, making sexual comments on them, and overall they're just weird and disgusting. Not worth wasting your time in reasoning with them.

[Rant below contains season 2 characters/spoilers]

The webtoon has a decent fandom, they're quite the opposite. The ships vary and they don't execute your first born for not shipping Gray (sieun) x Stephen (suho). Actually, Sieun x Seongje (wolf) is quite popular. But the ships aren't the point anyway, I'm just pointing it out!

We do miss the webtoon characters. Jake would've been a smart addition to the cast as they could've progressed Seongje's character with him. But I guess 8 episodes weren't enough for so many character arcs so its understandable somewhat... Seriously, should've been a 16 episode per season drama.

[HUGE SPOILER]
Also, I really really didn't like what they did to baekjin's character. They killed him off right when he got interesting. Seriously? They did not even explain ANYTHING about his backstory or even his motives. That made me frustrated. He could've progressed further and be an actually important character.

Thats all. Overall im very biased as this is my favorite drama and im very deep within the fandom, it's a big part of who I am. I have a lot of complaints, but I can't bring myself to rate it anything other than 10 stars. Peace out yall (seongtak on top)

Average

Drama started great, and I was under the impression this would be a cultivation-themed story. Sadly for me, it turned into a weird love story with way too many protagonists.
IMO, the story has some weird plot holes, and you have to keep watching for them to be resolved. As 70% of C-Dramas, this is a "sausage" fest - Men rule, and women are weak, but if you like love stories, you may like it - I'm struggling now through season 2, so the story can be wrapped up (I didn't read the novel).
The cast is superb, with good acting, especially from the kid actors. Music is good, and rewatch value is very low IMO.
CGI fight choreography is very basic, as most of the time, there is dialogue with intrigue going on.

Fluffy comedy

In short: a hyperactive and borderline insane Labrador puppy falls in love with an emotionally damaged, low-energy cat who can’t decide whether the Puppy’s antics are annoying or endearing. But he also can’t quite tell him to get lost.

They could have screwed this up so easily, because some of what the Puppy gets up to borders on harassment, but the Cat is clearly the one in control of the relationship and he constantly gives hints that he is somewhat into the madness being inflicted on him. Major props to the actors - I just watched them in Your Sky and thought, here is a pair who deserves their own series so they can show off their acting chops. And here is Duang With You to fulfil all our wishes and then some.

Largely very fluffy but the spicy bits are indeed spicy, and the chemistry is nuts. Super funny, somewhat slapstick in the visual comedy, also has emotional depth. All I can criticize is that I think the secondary couple needed more screen time. Otherwise this is on the rewatch list, highly recommended.

All Mission, No Love

It was awful. The acting, the pseudo-plot, and the romance were all terrible.
There was no build-up in the interactions between the actors; if anything, they should have left out the romance altogether rather than cramming it in at the very end without developing it properly throughout the story.
It might have been okay if this were the very beginning of a drama, if we’d felt a stronger connection between the two, but there was nothing to latch onto – it was far too superficial.
Bland and with a romance tacked on, it’ll be quickly forgotten.

Parallel Lives, Missing Sparks

Winter Night starts off with a premise that feels full of promise—parallel universes, identity shifts, and the emotional weight of living someone else’s life. The first half is undeniably engaging, but also frustrating in a very specific way. You keep expecting the story to lean into the complexity of its own concept, yet it chooses a quieter, almost passive route. The female lead adapts far too easily to her new reality, as if slipping into another person’s life is just another ordinary day. That lack of inner conflict makes the whole “parallel universe” angle feel more like background decoration than the driving force.

What stands out in this first half is the dynamic between the leads—but not in the way you’d hope. Instead of romance, we’re given a relationship rooted almost entirely in friendship. It’s gentle, sometimes comforting, but also leaves a noticeable void. There’s a lingering sense that something deeper should be happening, yet the story holds back.

The second half shifts gears, but not necessarily in the right direction. Family drama takes center stage and stretches on longer than it needs to. While it adds layers to the narrative, it also dilutes the emotional core that the story seemed to be building toward. And still, the romance barely moves. Even when the plot finally reaches a point where everything should come together—especially in the last episodes—the emotional payoff feels muted. The realization, the tension, the possibility of shared experience across worlds… it’s all there, but never fully explored.

What makes it more frustrating is that the chemistry between the leads is just out of reach. You can see the potential, you can feel the unspoken emotions, but the story never allows them to evolve beyond hesitation. It’s like watching two people stand at the edge of something meaningful and never take the step forward. At this point, I'm always just ff to see something meaningful, but to no avail.

In the end, Winter Night feels like a story that chose restraint over intensity. It had all the ingredients for a deeply emotional, romantic, and even angsty journey—but instead stayed in a safe, almost static space. For viewers who enjoy slow-burn friendships and family-centered narratives, it may still resonate. But for those hoping for a strong romantic arc to match its intriguing premise, it might leave you wanting more.

Commentators screen time

I hope less screen time for the commentators, especially Siwon, who lost many fans because of his scandal involving support for the k¡ll!ng of children and genocide...
Hope you fix this in the next seasons for more views and fans .
So this is the only annoying problem in the show

Pretty Solid as A Webdrama

One Fine Week follows two girls with similar faces who live completely different lives, Da Eun, an ordinary college student who works part-time at a coffee shop, and Byul, who lives a "perfect" life as a member of an idol group. For some reason, they agree to swap lives for one week. During that week, Da Eun takes over Byul’s role as a cast member on a dating show.

It’s a short webdrama with a pretty solid script. There are no unnecessary conflicts and no boring moments. It’s fast-paced, but it doesn’t lack the necessary details. Every episode wraps up properly and leaves us with a cliffhanger that makes us want to watch the next one. The topics it covers are also quite relatable, especially regarding the reality of idol life.

The directing is average for a web drama, and the acting is quite good, what I love the most is the interactions between the cast, whether during the dating show filming or at the coffee shop.

Overall, it’s fun to watch.

THE REASON WHY IM GIVING THIS SERIES A 10/10 in all components is because, the series it self is peak, Ok first of all the main story, this is a story about duang's life, a normal student majoring in arts, and its also about qin who majors in music. Duang is a extroverted boy who has alot of friends, because his friendly ofc. And then one day he fell in love at first sight (with qin). I will not spoil any further. Ok second one the actors,The actor of duang is Teetee and fhe actor of qin is Por. I honestly like it because Teetee is just like duang. Now lets continue to the third part is the plot, where alot of things happened I will not spoil but I tell you the plot is obviously awesome!! Now the last but not the least:

WHY IM TRULY GIVING THIS SERIES A 10/10- Its because this series is like reflecting to my own self, I feel totally connected to the characters Qin and Duang Specifically,I act like duang, I don't logically fell emotions like por, I am very confident like duang, I have family issues like por, and so many more.... Totally on the nose but everybody is Lord Voldemort

Have seen lots of comments wondering what the film is about and I just don't get it. I'm terrible at getting hidden meanings but thankfully 'Exit 8' laids it out plain and simple to me: it's a movie about breaking the cycle of trauma, a very touching perspective of a man who has to deal with the reality of becoming a father and the responsabilities that come with it despite never having a father himself and basically having no idea on "how to do it".
I thought it was a very refreshing context and overall entertaining piece.

Interesting Stories, Just Lacking Bite

It delivers episode-by-episode storylines that are genuinely creative and engaging. Each one carries a clear message, and it’s easy to appreciate the lessons behind them. The ideas are strong, and the storytelling keeps things interesting throughout. The SFX also stands out—it adds a polished touch that helps elevate the overall viewing experience.

That said, it doesn’t quite hit as hard as expected. I found myself wanting something more intense, more unsettling—something that really pushes the edge. While the show seems to aim for tension and impact, it leans more into drama than true thriller territory. Since it’s labeled as a drama, that shift makes sense, but it can still feel a bit underwhelming if you’re expecting something darker.

Trying not to compare it to the original helps, especially since this feels like a different take or universe. On its own, it works—but the tone might catch you off guard. At times, it oddly feels like a slightly gruesome version of Nanny McPhee, which is… not something I expected to say.

Still, it’s worth watching for the concepts and messages alone—just don’t go in expecting something too disturbing or intense.

BL OF THE CENTURY, PROBABLY MILLENNIUM!

This BL series is the best one among all the 140 bl series I've watched. It brings back the nostalgia from the other bl from the past with its own flavor. The plot is cliche but love at first sight storyline just hits hard. Also, the casting is really good. I just really like it when both of the main characters, as well as the supporting characters are good-looking. I am screaming my lungs out the entire 12 episodes. This is the BL of the century right here! I hope to see more series for TeeteePor <3. Really recommended!

I honestly wanted to thank all the production team for making this series outstand. But first of all seeing some reviews here lowering the star rating just to promote there own biased series is discussting asf you know that? I understand this is a review but from your own words its not a review, its a hate on the drama itself! Did you guys understand the character so well as if why you are hating duang and qin as if your not exp forst love before? You lonely ass bitches? You could have just shut your mouth and using the review tab just to spread hate and promote your biased series, worst fan ever, Because for us DWY is simple as it should be, no need to complicate things just like other series whos plot is so annoyingly long, you know why DWY hits the spot? Proper communication, simple. Or do you know how to love btw? You only observes nc you mthfcker freaks go watch some porn instead.

One of my faves

As a longtime fan of FirstKhao (from Not Me, The Eclipse, etc.), I went into this with high expectations—and it didn’t disappoint. While they were my initial draw, I ended up completely enamored by JoongDunk as well. The FadelStyle dynamic, in particular, felt fresh and unlike anything I’d seen before in the genre.

One of the standout aspects is the storyline. It breaks away from the typical school-based BL formula, opting for something more mature and slightly riskier, which really pays off. It’s great to see GMMTV take that kind of step. The performances across the board are strong, not just from the four leads but also the supporting cast.

Dunk, as Style, was a highlight for me—easily one of my favourite characters. He brought a lot of personality to the role and made it incredibly engaging to watch.

Overall, this is a series I’d absolutely rewatch
