Lots of Laughs & Sweetness

In the Joseon era, he was a nobleman’s son. In modern days, he’s a scam artist. In every timeline, she’s the mermaid who loves him. Will these total opposites get their happy ending or is this duo destined to only get heartbreak & de@th after falling in love?

I loved this so much more than expected! It made me laugh, swoon, tense, hope, worry, tear up, & cheer. It’s both light & humorous but also deep & a bit angsty.

From the moment they meet, in both eras, their chemistry is immediate. The attraction is there, though he doesn’t always want to acknowledge it. But even while he’s planning to scam her due to her obvious naivety of the world, he’s still protective of her. And he ultimately can’t follow through because of her goodness that reminds him he’s more than a con.

I love experiencing the friendship & bond that forms between them. The chaos that comes with their cohabitation is hilarious & so sweet. I truly love the way they love they each other. Her love is immediate but it doesn’t make his love any less real. They’re both willing to sacrifice everything for the other, ultimately giving up the lives they’ve always known just to be together.

Highly recommend for fans of romance, fantasy, comedy, some melodrama, & happy endings 🫶🏻

A Nice Surprise

The cast did great in their roles. I thought the pacing & storyline were good as they held my attention nicely. I loved the father/daughter duo & the bond they formed. And the Leads had great chemistry! 🫠

PS: the daughter? Total scene-stealer! Her young love is totes adorbs 🫶🏻

Fantasy Youth Drama

Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the relationship between the Leads. They were just so precious from their crazy “meet cute”, to their squabbling while cohabitating, to their genuine friendship & the bond they develop, to their deep love for & protection of one another. 🫶🏻

Did I dislike some aspects? Yes, ‘cause I’m never a fan of love triangles nor do I enjoy separations (whether breakups or, like here, memory loss). However, I still really liked watching this story unfold & would recommend it to anyone who likes the aspects listed above 🤗

Beautiful People, Meh Story

She’s a student hiding her shaman identity. He’s a student living a seemingly cursed life. Just what’s in store for this duo when their paths cross?

She falls for him at first sight & determines to save him. He despises shamans & treats her coldly. But fate intervenes when he shows up as her new classmate, giving her access to him once again. So she & her bestie work to become friends with this cold loner. Due to her attempts to protect him & a love triangle developing, chaos reigns with lots of heart & laughter.

This is a cute watch, but I was honestly disappointed with the last 2eps. That plot just didn’t work for me - all I could think was how this young ghost boy had now seen the FL n@k3d due to inhabiting her body. Such a violation of her! Just…no. 🤢

A lot was also lost on me due to not understanding a lot of the ritual aspects. So scenes that were supposed to be intense & emotive just felt dragged out because I had no clue why they were doing things in certain ways.

I wish we’d gotten more of the Leads as an actual couple since we had so many absolutely adorable moments of them together but not officially together, ya know? They had such great on-screen chemistry so I wanted more, haha.

I laughed. I swooned. I hurt. I worried. The cast did a really good job bringing their characters to life so kudos to them!

Such a Gem

How to describe this show?

Wholesome.
Endearing.
Heartwarming.
Inspiring.
Calming.
Therapeutic.
Beautiful.

This is one of the most angst-free law dramas I’ve ever watched (of all nationalities!) The cases are important & the lawyers take them seriously, but their maturity & sincerity keeps them from becoming huge, dramatic fights. And with each case they handle, they grow as individuals in both their personal & professional lives.

The cast did a fantastic job bringing this group of 5 to life. Kudos to each actor who brought their talents to our screens. They all had such great chemistry. And the main 5 are what squad goals are made of! Loved how there wasn’t any backstabbing or jealousy. Rather, they were each other’s greatest source of comfort & help. Their bond is so precious! And the couples were wonderful too. 🫶🏻 I adored the scenes of the main leads in all their relationship stages, as well as the adorableness of the secondary couple. True love looks good on them!!

Highly recommend this to all drama fans!!

PS: the secondary couple’s love is just as precious as the Leads’. The whole pregnancy plot line & how the hubby handled it? OhEmGee - swooooon! 🫠

Mature Love in the Office

A successful female CEO + a newly-hired male secretary. The paths that lead them to these positions haven’t been easy. Now that they’re working together, will they find any relief?

The FL’s independent & confident in her ability to tackle any issues that arise at work. Past betrayals have left her leery of trusting others so she takes any problems onto her own shoulders, leaving her worn out & overworked.

Being her complete opposite, the ML is very outgoing & considerate of his coworkers making it easy for him to make friends wherever he goes. He’s very responsible & mature, both in the workplace & at home with his young daughter. He places his child’s well-being above all, making him miss out on certain career advancements. He doesn’t regret it, though, as he loves his little girl with his whole heart (such a good dad!)

These three come to form a beautiful little family unit, helping each other heal from hurts & giving one another strength to face the obstacles of life. And yes, they have some pretty tough stuff to overcome.

The Leads have such a healthy & mature relationship, appropriate for their age. [I love when the adults actually behave like adults!] They each have such a precious & heartwarming bond with his daughter, too. I really enjoyed watching their story unfold, both as a couple & as a family of 3.

Bonus: the “love rivals” are both good people. They don’t try to break them up - they each accept the rejection & continue being their good friends (& they fall for each other, score!) 🙌🏻

Love that Lasts for Lifetimes

Sparks fly & chaos ensues when an imprisoned immortal meets a low-level mortal sent to serve him who’s different from the others - not wanting his power, not seeking to k!ll him, not wanting to be there… will her innocence be a weakness or a strength for this duo?

I quite enjoyed this drama, though I could’ve done without a few aspects. But the Leads had such a beautiful bond that I was able to overlook the things I didn’t like. I loved how this duo only ever had eyes for each other & how they were so protective of one another. Even in their amnesiac states, they still trusted one another despite believing they’re enemies. They had a love worth fighting for!

The plot & pacing did stutter a bit for me in the middle, but again, the Leads made it bearable. And even though it’s a happy ending, I truly wish the rules would change so that our time-travel dramas have us more satisfying endings of our Leads reuniting. We want the hugs, the kisses, the weddings, the life together! 😉

Kudos to the cast & crew for bringing this story to life, allowing us viewers the pleasure of witnessing this love story unfold, a love that spans lifetimes. 🫶🏻

Good for a vertical

I liked it! But i don't know if the tag gay romance should be there. In the last seconds it looked like he started to have feelings too, but it wasn't very clear...Maybe there will come a sequel? I wouldn't mind.
The fighting really looks real.
The visuals and music were good.

The actors did a great job, i really like the acting of Han Se Jin. I knew him from Mr. Heart where he was also great!

I really don't like verticals, so i won't re-watch, but if you can find a version where they pasted all the episodes into one long film i recommend watching. It was entertaining.

Love Blooms in Perilous Times

Navigating a web of secrets & uncovering hidden truths, the FL’s return to China isn’t easy in this period drama. The journey becomes more perilous when she witnessed the ML committing a crime. Will the remain foes or become allies in the dangerous days ahead?

Honestly, outside of the Leads’ relationship development & interactions, nothing much grabbed my attention with this story. I didn’t like the SML’s constant interference nor the SFL’s delusions; I didn’t enjoy how many good characters d¡ed; I didn’t get sucked into the plot twists. I think I was in the wrong mood for this type of story because the cast all did really good in their roles so I’m pretty sure the problem was with me 😂

The Leads were really great together, though. Both strong individuals who were willing to do the hard things for the good of their country. Their bond was unbreakable, their trust was unwavering, & their love unending. Definitely a power couple of their era 💕

Chaotic Romantic Comedy

A prosecutor’s life is turned upside down after his new intern becomes a murder suspect. Amidst all the chaos that ensues, their hearts become entangled as love slowly blooms.

These Leads have super good chemistry - fighting, annoying, teasing, flirting, loving - they nailed every scene together. ❤️‍🔥 I’m not a big fan of so much push & pull between a couple, but I still enjoyed watching this chaotic duo.

The friend group added a lot of humor to the story which I throughly enjoyed. The guys were hilarious! I wish the FL wasn’t so naive about the villain, that lowered my rating, but the ML made up for it. 😉

I think the plot & pacing was well done despite some less than enjoyable moments for me, but those wouldn’t stop me from recommending this drama. 🤗

When Friendship Grows Into Love

A low-angst, heartwarming adolescence-to-adulthood story that follows friendship naturally blossoming into romance. I really enjoyed watching the characters grow up together and seeing their relationships evolve along with them. All three couples were endearing in their own ways, and their journeys toward finding their destined person felt incredibly sweet and refreshingly natural. Nothing felt overly forced or unnecessarily dramatic; instead, the relationships developed through shared experiences, familiarity, and genuine affection.

Even the third parties, including the SML, were decent and lovely human beings. There were no obnoxious villains desperately trying to tear couples apart or manufacture unnecessary angst. They recognized when someone's heart belonged elsewhere and bowed out gracefully, which made the whole story even more pleasant to watch.

I also really liked the way the show juxtaposed BaiHui's parents with ZhiXia's. The contrast between the two families offered two very different examples of marriage, parenting, and the kind of home environment that shapes a child. ZhiXia's parents showed the warmth and security that can come from a loving and supportive relationship, while BaiHui's family demonstrated how deeply a more difficult parental dynamic can affect the way a child views love and relationships. It added another layer to the story and I especially appreciated that the contrast was woven naturally into the story rather than being presented as some heavy-handed lesson about family.

Overall, this was simply a warm and comforting coming-of-age romance about friendship, first loves, growing up, and eventually realizing that the person meant for you may have been beside you all along. Sweet, easy to watch, and full of genuinely likable characters.

Cute drama worth giving a try

I'm sorry to say this but Im Jiyeon does not fit cute roles and historical roles at all. I loved her in The Glory so I was exited to watch her new drama but I was let down by her acting a little bit. I'm not sure if it's the plastic surgery or the way she acts but her face is really stiff which made me think that she didn't really fit the role of Shin Seori.
Apart from that the story was pretty cute. The first 6-7 episodes were really entertaining. It was fun to see Seori discover this new era and build up her relationship with Segye, and their banter was so funny to watch.
After that though the pace really slowed down and it almost felt like a chore to watch the episodes so I stopped watching for a week or two. So if you like consistent pacing you might have a hard time with this.
Like I said the chemistry between Seori and Segye is amazing and they look very good next to eachother, but I will say Segye is a little bit of a red flag for me. I HATED how he would switch from hot to cold in a matter or 2 scenes.
The other actors also did a great job, especially Jang Seung Jo who played Choi Mundo, and l loved seeing Chae Seoan again but she was so cute in Perfect Crown that I couldn't take her seriously as a mean girl😭.

The narrative forces them into a static "co-workers first" box, suffocating their natural spark under formal deference and denying viewers any real emotional payoff.

Instead of a balanced pairing, the male lead is stripped of autonomy and relegated to a sidekick executing orders. This lack of an equal counter-weight drains his character of mystery and drive, leading to a palpable sense of boredom in his performance.

By over-explaining every clue like a math equation, the drama aggressively strips away the natural elements of surprise.

⚖️ The Wanted Detective: The Better Camaraderie
Compared to Jadewind's suppressed chemistry and clinical pacing, The Wanted Detective executes this genre far better. It relies on a balanced ensemble where genuine camaraderie enhances individual strengths rather than flattening them.

A polished watch for pure procedural purists, but a highly forgettable romance that values the blueprint of a case over the souls of the people solving it.

Too unrealistic and corny

Unfortunately this drama was not really for me.
The one thing that made this so annoying to watch was the action scenes. They were soo unrealistic that I had a hard time focusing on the story. How can high school student fight like that????
I also found it a little bit ridiculous that they were fighting this hard just for a study group. Couldn't they easily have created one outside of school and meet at the end of the day or something?
Also, are school gangs really that big in South Korea? This is the second drama I see after Teach You a Lesson where they make them such a big deal.
I will say though the friendships were really cute, I especially liked Sehyeon and Heewon, and I thought that the cast did a pretty good job at acting.
The music was also well chosen and perfectly matched the scenes.

Live Action Done Right ??

Loved the Live Adaption as much as I loved the Manhwa, they did change the story a bit in the series but the essence of the manhwa stayed true which made me very happy, though I’d have loved to see some things kept similar to the original but still it surprisingly didn’t make me mad/ angry that they changed it. Was so so happy that they kept the trivia questions, it was one of my fav part of the story 😂😂

The Revenge was so sweet. I loved that they adapted this series and that we finally got to see black/ grey characters for the main-leads. The story, acting, osts, screenplay and everything was topnotch so I ended up finishing the series in a day 🫣🫣

The actors did a great job (I’m not sure about why people were complaining so much about it). I’m happy that Totap played Jay’s character, I loved the way he portrayed him and thought he did a very good job. Similar pov for all the other actors!! They all had great chemistry with each other and were able to make the LA more enjoyable. 🩷🩷
