Idol romance at its finest—flawed but completely lovable! ?✨
Overall:Bump Up Business is a short and incredibly fun watch, especially if you are a K-pop fan. To be completely honest, the acting performance is quite average at times and could have been more polished, but I still absolutely loved this drama! It has a unique charm that keeps you fully entertained, earning a solid 8/10 from me. It’s the perfect show when you want something quick, comforting, and cute.Story:The plot offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the idol industry, focusing on a fake-dating trope to boost popularity. The pacing is very fast since the episodes are short. While some subplots could have used more development, the core romance is sweet and keeps you hooked. It delivers exactly what it promises without unnecessary fluff.Acting / Cast:Since the main cast consists of K-pop idols, the acting can feel a bit stiff or amateurish in certain scenes. However, their real-life bond definitely helped their on-screen dynamic. They have a very natural comfort with each other, and their chemistry grows on you as the story progresses. It’s hard not to root for them!Music / OST:Brilliant! Since it’s an idol drama, the music and performances are a huge highlight. The soundtrack is incredibly catchy, polished, and definitely worth adding to your daily playlist.Rewatch Value:High. Because it’s short and easy to digest, it’s a great option to rewatch on a lazy afternoon when you want a fun, casual binge.
Sexuality, Embrace it atau malah Senjata Makan Tuan❔
Elu gay?, normal! that's how we experience romance and sexual desire. Saotome Ren (sebelum berganti nama jadi Isihara Ren), bocah SMP, kelas 9 (kayaknya), gue yakin dia love at the first sight begitu awal ketemu Takizawa Kazuma, si anak pindahan dari YU ES EII (USA/Amerika).
" (Kanojo ya gess, maksudnya nanyain pacar cewe) bla bla bla dijawab kazuma, terus ditanya lagi "kalau begitu, mau coba melakukan semua itu denganku? " JIAHH dari situ udah jelas bangg kl lu suka ama Kazuma. Tapi rasa takut akan label "gay" dan bagaimana society memandang gay membuat Ren harus mundur alon-alon 😫. Si Takizawa gatauu tuh kalau bestie nya geih. Sampai ketika..
Sampai ketika.. Takizawa Kazuma lagi nungguin Ren di salah satu gang kecil, hujan-hujan lagi. Katanya sih, mereka janjian mau kerkom, kerja kelompok or sesi study with me kalik ya gatau dah mau ngapain intinya Ren yang ngajak Kazuma ke tempat itu dan di pukul berapa semuanya diatur Ren. Eh pas udah nungguin lama, ternyata Ren lagi jalan sama om-om😨. Kazuma nguping pembicaraan mereka, shok dia pas tau mereka mau ke Love Hotel (semacam OYO kalau di indo). dih sumpah jijay gua pas si om-om bilang ke Ren "lu imut banget dek, yakin lu udah umur 17? " (which is obviously Ren belum umur legal, kan masih esempeh). Langsung Kazuma usir tu om om terus basically dia bilang ke Ren "Ayo! lakuin bareng aku aja. apa-apain aku mas" *ihir*.
Langsung deh Ren ditampar sama mama nya Kazuma. *PTAKK*, "JANGAN SAMPE GUA MERGOKIN LU KETEMU SAMA ANAK GUA LAGI!! AWAS LU" kata mamak nya kazuma.
Long story short, setelah insiden itu Ren sekolah ke Perancis, itupun dipaksa bapak dia. maaf spoiler yah tapi intinya bapaknya men-disown/ga nganggep Ren sebagai anaknya lagi (makanya pas gede nama Ren ganti, Saotome itu semacam Marga gitu lah). Nah sedangkan Kazuma balik lagi ke Amerika, sekolah.
10 tahun ga ketemu, fate made them ketemu lagi di Tokyo, the same place as 10 years ago tapi sebagai junior-atasan ditempat kerja.
Ren nyembunyiin masa lalu kelam yang Kazuma belum tahu, makanya Ren cuma mau jadi FWB (friends with benefit). Kazuma kagak tahu menahu tuh kalau Ren masih nanggung rasa sakit yang dia pikirannya. Disini mulai teka teki tentang Ren sedikit demi sedikit dipecahkan sama Kazuma, sekalian nyari ini kemana ni bocah kok ngilang.
in the end, cinta itu tentang bagaimana kita sharing trauma, sharing uneg uneg, sharing pikiran, sharing apapun lah! Love Language nya Kazuma, comforting his love.
MenyesAL aku baru nonton 3 tahun setelah rilisss🤧.
Peak Korean BL comedy with a legendary ship that I miss so much! ?❤️
Overall:Roommates of Poongduck 304 is hands down one of the best and most entertaining Korean BL dramas ever made. It has the perfect balance of comedy, romance, and tension. What truly makes this series elite is the main cast. I miss this ship so incredibly much, and I genuinely hope they will get the chance to star in another drama together in the future. It’s a solid 9.5/10 (or 10/10) comfort show for me!Story:The roommates and office-romance tropes were executed flawlessly. The pacing is fast, energetic, and never leaves room for boredom. The bickering dynamic between the landlord and the tenant, who also happen to be boss and employee, is pure gold. It’s lighthearted, funny, and incredibly satisfying to watch.Acting / Cast:Ji Woong and Seo Bin have an absolutely magical, natural chemistry. They play off each other's energy so well, making both the comedic timing and the romantic tension feel effortless. They truly understood their characters. Even after finishing the show, their dynamic stays with you, which is why so many fans are dying to see them share the screen again.Music / OST:The soundtrack is bright, jazzy, and perfectly matches the urban, upbeat office-romance atmosphere. It adds a lovely layer of fun to the series.Rewatch Value:100%. This is the ultimate comfort binge-watch. It's short, hilarious, and high-quality, making it incredibly easy to rewatch whenever you miss their dynamic.
Intense passion, emotional depth, and absolutely unmatched chemistry! ❤️?
Overall:Don't Say No is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to romance and emotional intensity. What truly makes this drama unforgettable is the explosive chemistry between the main leads. They share a bond that feels incredibly real, passionate, and mature. It easily gets a high rating from me because of how deeply invested I was in their relationship from the very first episode.Story:The story beautifully transitions from friends-to-lovers into a deeper, established relationship. It explores the insecurities, communication struggles, and past traumas of the characters in a very engaging way. The pacing is great, blending sweet comfort with high emotional angst and just the right amount of spice. It keeps you hooked without ever feeling dull.Acting / Cast:Ja and First delivered a spectacular performance. Their on-screen chemistry is pure magic and completely unmatched—they look at each other with so much love and intensity that it makes your heart race. They handled both the highly emotional, vulnerable scenes and the passionate moments effortlessly. The supporting cast, especially the friends and siblings, brought a lovely balance of warmth and humor to the show.Music / OST:The soundtrack is romantic, dramatic, and perfectly timed to elevate the tension during the most passionate or emotional scenes. It adds a great layer to the overall atmosphere.Rewatch Value:Extremely high! Whenever you want to watch a BL with top-tier chemistry, a devoted couple, and a passionate storyline, this is the ultimate drama to revisit.
may not be for those who dont like slapstick comedy!
There are many reasons to watch this kdrama:1. Almost no side plots, it's just the main characters.
2. funny as hell if you love the slapstick comedy
3. FKING AMAZING CHEMISTRY AND ACTING
4. YEARNING AND ANGST
5. YEARNING 2X
5. desperate loserism
6. the villain isn't as strong to the plot imo.
7. You won't lose interest after the kiss 😝
This kdrama perfectly fits the rom-com genre, but it's also quite serious.
Like the female lead is written so well, she isn't a damsel in distress; she is independent, she is brave, yet she has her weak points as well, which makes her a strong character, which is quite rare for female leads in dramas.
And chai se ge is such a different character, even tho he is a ceo, he is rude, arrogant (actually), but he is so damn charismatic!
And he doesn't change after falling in love, speaking of. I LOVEEEEE that they bicker even after falling in love, which I have rarely seen in kdramas. I am a type of person who gives up on a drama after the couple kiss. This drama made me want to watch it till the end, which is a difficult task in rom-com dramas.
Overall, you should definitely watch it.
This kdrama is gonna be one of my favourite rom-coms 😝😝
A good, well-acted drama, but it didn't fully live up to the massive hype for me. ?️❤️
Overall:Bad Buddy is highly praised by almost everyone in the BL community, and while I can see why people love it, it didn't completely blow me away. For me, it’s a solid 7.5/10. It is a well-produced show with a refreshing take on some classic tropes, but the overall execution didn't fully resonate with me the way it did with the general public. It's definitely a good watch, just not a personal masterpiece.Story:The story takes the classic "enemies-to-lovers" and Romeo and Juliet concept and tries to give it a more mature, realistic twist. The progression of the romance is decent, and the communication between the characters is much better than in traditional BLs. However, at times, the pacing felt a bit slow, and some of the university/family rivalry subplots became a little repetitive and tiring for me.Acting / Cast:The absolute strongest point of this drama is the acting. Ohm and Nanon are incredibly talented actors, and their raw chemistry is undeniable. They portrayed their characters' emotions, struggles, and affection beautifully. The supporting cast also did a great job, especially the friends who added a lot of realistic energy to the school setting.Music / OST:The soundtrack is nice, catchy, and fits the youthful, emotional tone of the series perfectly. The main theme song is memorable and easy to listen to.Rewatch Value:Medium. I might rewatch a few iconic, high-chemistry scenes between the main leads in the future, but I probably wouldn't sit through the entire series from start to finish again.
The ultimate campy guilty pleasure with a bittersweet real-life ending ?❤️
Overall:Unforgotten Night is a drama that you just can't help but enjoy, despite its obvious flaws. To be completely honest, the acting leaves a lot to be desired, and some scenes feel a bit clumsy or overly dramatic. However, there is something so incredibly addictive about the mafia plot and the romance that makes it a highly entertaining watch. It's a great comfort show if you don't take it too seriously! It’s just a shame that the main ship has broken up in real life since then.Story:The story brings together the classic mafia boss, bodyguards, and a fast-paced romance. While the execution and pacing can feel a bit chaotic and unrealistic at times, it never gets boring. Every episode delivers pure entertainment and dramatic tension that keeps you clicking "next episode."Acting / Cast:As mentioned, the acting performance isn't the strongest and can feel a bit stiff in certain emotional or intense action scenes. However, the cast clearly put a lot of effort into it, and the unique dynamic grew on me as the show progressed. Knowing that the main ship dissolved after the project adds a sad note to revisiting their on-screen chemistry.Music / OST:The soundtrack is highly dramatic and perfectly matches the intense, theatrical atmosphere of a mafia romance drama.Rewatch Value:Surprisingly high! It is the perfect show to rewatch with friends or whenever you need something highly entertaining, fast, and full of classic BL tropes.
Super cute and hilarious, but prepare for some second-hand heartbreak! ?
Overall:Fish Upon the Sky is a mega cute, chaotic, and lighthearted romantic comedy that will make you laugh out loud. The overall vibe is incredibly fun and heartwarming. However, it was also a bit of an emotional rollercoaster because of the main relationship dynamic. It gets a high rating from me because of its unique humor, but some parts definitely made me feel frustrated for the main leads.Story:The plot is highly entertaining, blending university life, internet rumors, and a sweet crush story. The comedy is loud, quirky, and very enjoyable. My only critique is that the push-and-pull went on a bit too long. It was genuinely frustrating and heartbreaking to watch the main lead constantly reject the other, especially when you could see how much it hurt him.Acting / Cast:Phuwin and Pond have a fantastic dynamic on screen. Pond portrayed the devoted, patient suitor perfectly, while Phuwin did a great job showing his character's insecurities. Their chemistry is super charming. Also, Neo and Louis completely stole the show with their hilarious sub-plot—they were pure comedic gold!Music / OST:The soundtrack is bright, upbeat, and fits the youthful, chaotic energy of the drama perfectly. It always lifts your mood during the funny scenes.Rewatch Value:Very high for the comedy and the cute, fluffy moments. It’s a perfect comfort show to rewatch when you need a good laugh, even if you have to skip a few frustrating scenes.
The ultimate bodyguard romance full of loyalty, devotion, and deep love! ??
Overall:Golden Blood is a must-watch for anyone who loves the "bodyguard and master" trope. The absolute highlights of this series are the loyalty, the protective vibes, and the incredible progression of the main relationship. Seeing how they go from a professional dynamic to a deep bond where both would literally sacrifice their lives for each other is incredibly moving. It’s a beautiful, action-packed romance that kept me emotionally invested the whole time.Story:The plot perfectly blends romance with high stakes and danger. The bodyguard trope is executed in a way that feels intense but deeply romantic. The pacing flows well, and the growth of trust between the two leads feels earned. The emotional payoff when they realize how much they mean to each other is simply elite.Acting / Cast:The chemistry between Gun and Boat is fantastic. They managed to portray that intense, silent devotion so well. The way the bodyguard looks at his master with pure protectiveness is everything! The supporting cast also brought a lot of charm and fun to balance out the more serious, dangerous moments of the story.Music / OST:The soundtrack does a wonderful job of elevating the dramatic and action sequences. It adds a grand, intense feel to the moments where their loyalty and lives are put on the line.Rewatch Value:High. Whenever I’m in the mood for a protective romance with deep devotion and a touch of danger, this will definitely be my top choice to revisit.
The legendary drama that started my BL journey and got me officially addicted! ??
Overall:TharnType will always hold a deeply special place in my heart because it was the very first BL drama I ever watched. It completely opened the gates to this amazing world, and honestly, I am so glad I got addicted! Haha. Even though it is a rollercoaster of intense emotions, the grip it has on the viewer is undeniable. It's an iconic series that every BL fan should experience at least once.Story:The enemies-to-lovers trope in this drama is peak fiction. The plot is filled with high tension, heavy drama, and deeply passionate romance. It deals with some intense and complicated themes, but the way the main characters slowly break down each other's walls kept me completely glued to the screen. The pacing is fast and highly addictive.Acting / Cast:Mew and Gulf had an absolutely legendary and explosive chemistry that set a whole new standard for the BL industry back then. Their dynamic on screen felt incredibly raw and intense. They portrayed the transformation from hate to deep devotion flawlessly, making the characters unforgettable.Music / OST:The soundtrack is sweet, catchy, and balances out the heavy angst of the show. The main theme song instantly brings back so much nostalgia every time I hear it now.Rewatch Value:Maximum rewatch value. Whenever I want to relive the nostalgia or experience that classic, intense enemies-to-lovers tension all over again, this is my go-to show.
A high-angst BL classic that still holds up beautifully on a rewatch! ?️❤️
Overall:Love Mechanics is an emotional rollercoaster that completely hooks you from the start. I recently decided to rewatch it, and while the initial, intense hype shifted a bit compared to my very first watch, it is still an incredible masterpiece. The raw emotions, the tension, and the production quality make it an easy 9.5/10 for me. It’s definitely one of the best Thai BLs out there.Story:The story is packed with angst, miscommunication, and intense relationship dynamics. It’s flawed, messy, and complicated, but that’s exactly what makes it so addictive. Seeing how their relationship evolves from a mistake into something deep is incredibly gripping. On a rewatch, you notice the pacing flaws a bit more, but the emotional payoff is still 100% there.Acting / Cast:Yin and War delivered phenomenal performances. Their chemistry is unmatched, and War’s ability to portray heartbreak and vulnerability is absolutely top-tier. They carry the entire weight of the show effortlessly. The supporting cast also did a great job balancing out the heavy drama.Music / OST:The soundtrack fits the moody, emotional atmosphere of the drama perfectly. It hits all the right chords during the heartbreaking scenes and elevates the romantic tension.Rewatch Value:High! Even though the second watch didn’t hit quite as hard as the first magical time, it is still a highly rewatchable show that keeps you fully entertained throughout.
Pure fluff, cute music, and heartwarming romance! ?❤️
Overall:My School President is one of the most heartwarming, wholesome, and adorable high school BL dramas out there. It is packed with pure fluff, incredible music, and a very healthy relationship dynamic. It gets a solid 9/10 from me because it made me smile through almost every episode, even though the pacing felt a little dragged out towards the end.Story:The plot is simple but incredibly sweet. It avoids unnecessary, toxic drama and focuses on mutual support, dreams, and young love. My only minor critique is that the story felt a bit stretched in the later episodes, and some subplots could have been paced faster. However, the overall vibe remains incredibly comforting.Acting / Cast:The chemistry between Gemini and Fourth is unmatched. They portrayed their characters with so much sincerity and charm that it’s impossible not to root for them. The entire supporting cast (the music club and the student council friends) added so much fun and warmth to the series.Music / OST:Absolute perfection! Since music is a huge part of the plot, the soundtrack is incredible. The songs are catchy, emotional, and beautifully performed by the cast. I still have the OST on repeat!Rewatch Value:Extremely high. It’s the ultimate comfort drama to revisit whenever you need something lighthearted to boost your mood.
A fantastic rom-com BL with incredible boxing vibes! ?✨
Overall:Wandee Goodday is easily one of the best BL dramas of 2024. It’s funny, incredibly sweet, mature, and has just the right amount of spice. The boxing subplot added such a unique and exciting dynamic to the show. It’s a solid 9/10 for me—highly enjoyable and almost perfect. It breaks my heart that the main ship has now parted ways in reality, but this drama will always remain a beautiful project.Story:The fake-dating trope was executed flawlessly. The pacing was great, the comedy hit the spot every time, and the communication between the main characters was so refreshing to see. The boxing background wasn't just a gimmick—it felt well-integrated into the plot and gave the series a cool, energetic vibe.Acting / Cast:The main leads had absolutely insane chemistry. They brought so much life, warmth, and emotion to their roles. Their acting felt natural and effortless. It’s deeply saddening to know that this ship has dissolved in real life because their dynamic on screen was pure magic.Music / OST:The soundtrack was upbeat, fun, and matched the energetic boxing theme and romantic moments perfectly. It always got me hyped up for the episodes.Rewatch Value:Very high. Whenever I need a comfort drama that combines great romance, humor, and a cool sports element, I will definitely come back to this one.
A refreshing, uncensored historical BL that completely steals your heart!
Overall:Meet You at the Blossom is an absolute gem for historical BL fans. It feels so refreshing to finally get a costume drama that doesn't shy away from the actual romance and gives us a genuine adaptation of the source material. Even though it has its minor flaws, the story grabbed me from the very first episode and kept me hooked until the end. It’s a solid 10/10 for me because of how much I enjoyed the overall ride.Story:The plot is incredibly engaging, blending romance, identity misunderstandings, and political tension perfectly. The pacing felt just right for a 12-episode series, filled with unexpected twists and a captivating atmosphere. It delivers a great balance of angst, sweetness, and high stakes.Acting / Cast:To be completely honest, the casting/acting felt a bit average at times, and some performances could have been stronger or more polished. However, as the episodes progressed, the dynamic between the main leads grew on me. Their character traits remained consistent, and their interactions carried enough charm to overshadow the minor acting flaws.Music / OST:The soundtrack fits the historical setting beautifully. It successfully amplifies the emotional weight of the dramatic scenes and makes the romantic moments feel even more impactful.Rewatch Value:High! It’s short, fast-paced, and highly addictive. I can definitely see myself coming back to revisit my favorite episodes in the future.
Breathless - Theory that solves Plot Holes
1st Part is my general Review2nd Part is my theory on the Plot Holes
A egocentric “capitalist monster” meets a brave woman that fell victim to the patriarchal oppressions of Joseon Dynasty. Their interpersonal collision leaves a deep mark of both comedic and painful value. Even my mother, who usually doesn’t watch Asian Dramas, was obsessed with the flower scene of the first episode. She couldn’t stop laughing the first bit of the series. To see her this cheerful, I wouldn’t dare to say the comedic parts weren’t entertaining.
The leading cast was superb - I haven’t seen such chemistry in a long time. Heo Namjun was performing his role of a rich spoiled chaebol so well I almost forgot how toxic that lifestyle actually is.
However, I must admit that I was not sure what was going on in the last few episodes either. If they had 2 more episodes, I am sure they could have answered some of the questions that are popping up in this community thread. Although , I would say that I do like the last episode.
2nd Part:
I think Shin Seori saved both Cha Segye and Kang Danshim when she changed The Grandprince’s Fate in the last Episode. Danshim died of the poison before, so she didn’t ‘exist’ anymore. The shaman resurrected her, but actually brought back Seori first, not Danshim? And later on Danshim came back to life in Joseon, where she actually belonged.
I suspect that the evil actress, who also tried to poison Seori just a few episodes before, actually put real poison on the movie set of the first episode. So Danshim was literally fated to die (or be harmed) from poison.
What’s weird though is that Cha Segye’s Soul seems to be the same as the one of the Grandprince (because of the Dreams). But Shin Seori and Kang Danshim don’t seem to share the same exact soul. But for this plot to add up, I think they should.
For the plot holes regarding Cha Segye’s cousin, I don’t get why people say he was just a filler. I think the plot was all about him having several chances to step down from the horse of craved power and wealth, put he didn’t choose his son (a normal happy life) but he choose to go with his career. He even killed a person, if not more, on his path. But he wasn’t a serial killer in the sense that he enjoyed it or did so when he didn’t have to. He was scary similar to the real life killers that some high ranking businessmen pose in our everyday lives. Clumsy, because he was not trained in getting rid of people, and also imperfect, because he realistically struggles with emotions.
