Um romance para aquecer o coração

Comecei The Best Thing apenas porque queria ver mais trabalhos do LingHe, então não estava com grandes expectativas. Mas amei!

Não é um drama com grandes plots, então você assiste realmente pelos personagens e pelo casal, que é super carismático e tem muita química.

A protagonista acabou de sair de um relacionamento traumático e desenvolve insônia por causa disso. Buscando tratamento na medicina tradicional chinesa, ela conhece um médico com quem começa a desenvolver um romance.

E que romance gostoso de assistir! É super fofinho, doce e aquece o coração. Você termina o drama com vontade de viver um romance igual ao dos protagonistas.

A fantasy drama that keeps you engaged from beginning to end ?

I started this drama because the synopsis immediately caught my attention, and I wanted to watch it right away. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint. From the very first episode, I was hooked. It rarely felt boring, although a few episodes in the middle were a little slower than the rest.

One of my favorite things about this drama is how the episodic cases weren't just random mysteries. Every demon story slowly built toward the main plot, so everything felt connected. Instead of solving one case and moving on, each arc added something meaningful to the overall story.

The Mirror Demon arc was easily one of my favorites. I actually felt sorry for the demon because he genuinely loved the girl and believed he was making her happy, without realizing the terrible consequences of his actions. It was emotional, entertaining, and made the villain feel more human rather than simply evil. I also loved the Cat Demon episodes and especially the Qin player demon. He was such a memorable character, and the actor portrayed him beautifully. Even though he was a demon, he had a kind heart, which made his story even more touching.

The cast did a wonderful job overall. The male lead was my favorite character because he was mature, calm, and always understood his responsibilities. I appreciated that he never abandoned his duty just for love. The female lead also gave a strong performance, although I do think her character cried a bit too much.

The only issue I had was the pacing of the final episodes. The drama spent a lot of time building its world and mysteries, but once it reached the climax, everything wrapped up very quickly. I also found a few plot points confusing, especially regarding Banxia's search for her father and the sudden appearance of the letter. Maybe I missed some details, but those moments weren't explained very clearly.

Despite that, I really liked the ending. I was worried the male lead would leave all his responsibilities behind just to be with Banxia, and I'm glad the drama didn't go in that direction. His choices stayed true to his character, making the ending feel much more meaningful. It wasn't a perfect fairy-tale ending, but it was satisfying and emotionally rewarding.

Overall, this drama is much more than a simple demon-hunting fantasy. It's filled with emotional stories, memorable characters, and mysteries that slowly come together into one larger picture. Even with a rushed ending and a few confusing moments, I had a great time watching it, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy, romance, and well-written character-driven stories.

Great character development

The second season wasn't as great as the first one, but overall it was enjoyable. I still loved it a lot. It got fewer fight scenes but every action scene was done well. Also, the brotherhood bonding was still amazing. I believe that's the spotlight of the whole series.

What I loved the most about this season was the character development. It digged deeper into the characters' past and their backstories and explained clearly how they became who they were at the moment. It got so much deeper than in the first season. We got to see Mugen's past and backstories of its founding members. I felt bad for what happened to Kohaku and Tatsuya, but I guess every hero would have a regretful past to bury in their heart forever.

It was also great to see a young and energetic Cobra during his time at Mugen and painfully watch how he became a cold, quiet and reserved leader of Sannoh Hoodlum Squad later on. I also loved to watch Murayama's character development in this second season and how he started to value the strength of friendship. One of my favorite scenes was the short conversation between him and Cobra. I hope they will become good friends in the future.

If only they didn't add so many scenes of Mighty Warriors and focused more on S.W.O.R.D. instead, I think I would have enjoyed it much more. I'm sorry I just couldn't care less about those ridiculous fashion and music dudes. They were just lame. While I kept waiting for the backstories of Rude Boys' and Daruma Ikka's leaders, they didn't have much screentime and barely had any lines. Most of their scenes were just flashbacks from the first season. They should have cut off so many scenes of those Mighty Warriors dudes and gave them to Rude Boys and Daruma Ikka instead.

Carina

Molto dolce, molto easy, però con una discreta pronfondità. Negli step che devono prendere prima di decidere di dichiararsi, nel comprendersi e nel capirsi. Alla fine dei conti questa è una storia di un giovane amore che cresce e si sviluppa nel tempo fino a diventare inpossibile da nascondarsi. E da li cominciano i primi misunderstanding. I primi momenti dove non si sa cosa dire e cosa fare. Per poi arrivare a quando i personaggi decidono di lasciarsi andare e di accettare l'uno amore dell'altro. Una serie carina e leggera adatta ad intervallarsi a cose magari più pesanti. E che ti lacia con un bel feeling dopo.

Love for One Day

Watching a movie wasn't on my To-do list for today but seeing that this was only 30 minutes long, i saw it during my morning coffee. I like having a note with stuff i am planning to do during the day, and that is precisely the topic of this movie: a list of things one girl set on to do. It was very interesting seeing how her plan is developing together with a stranger she meet awkwardly on a beach.

Since this is a short film it is more dynamic than usual full feature Hong Sang-soo movies. It still has the same ingredients: people sitting and talking developing human connection, but here, the scenes are shorter, the dialogue is more concise, and there is also some action like playing badminton and some bonus short shoots, like for an example a dog eating ice-cream. I had a nice time watching this, but now, I should continue with things on my personal List in real life.

A karma for dismissing what's not special

"Don't judge a book by its cover." That's exactly what the characters in this story are about. The plot is tightly written, with no unnecessary dragging.

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece nor would I say the story is entirely unique. Some of plot twists were predicable and a big plot twist at the end was expected to some extent. However, the ending could be considered the unique essence of the story.

What I loved most is how it portrays the contradictions in a person's character, what one person finds special and what another doesn't. That would apply to the viewers as well, at least for me. That's because the motive behind the final revelation didn't feel all that strong, or should I say, special enough drive the whole thing - for me. But for the person involved, it was deeply painful. I guess that's the point.

Tecnicamente 10-

Allora, capiamoci: è un 10-perché ha lo stesso problema di Reset. Solo che in Reset essendo anche la storia del fratello che mi annoiava alla fine ho dato 9, però il problema di per sé è lo stesso: non capisco l'età che dovrebbe avere Gun in relazione sopratutto con l'età degli altri studenti. O me lo sono perso io (che è anche possibile come cosa, non lo metto in dubbio) o non lo hanno mai detto, però quale dovrebbe essere l'età a cui entrano sti giovani alla Homeschool? E se questa scuola dura tre anni e Run è della Gen4, mentre loro sono la Gen6 in teoria dovrebbe avere 22 anni? Comunque, colpa anche forse del fatto che Gun sembra perennemente un 18enne questa cosa mi pareva un pelo assurda? Detto ciò il resto invece mi è piaciuto molto. Una cosa che ho apprezzato della trama, è che al netto di tutto gli studenti che vanno all'Homeschool sono veramente troubled teens, anche se poi si shifta e si da la colpa di tutto ai genitori che hanno bisogno di un posto che gli permetta di guarire dai loro traumi, anche attraverso i trials che vengono fatti nelle prime puntate. Poi pian piano, mentre vediamo la nascita della scuola e delle ragioni che hanno portato il master Armin a diventare quello che è capisci che c'è qualcosa di più profondo che non va. Come se il personaggio Armin fosse una persona completamente diversa rispetto a quella che era prima. Detto questo l'unica cosa che mi spiace un po' è il fatto che noi non sappiamo le ragioni dietro al come mai il Master cattivo abbiamo fatto il lavaggio del cervello al Master Armin. Ammesso e non concesso che ci sono cattivi che non hanno bisogno di una backstory tragica secondo me ci stava almeno vedere anche il suo punto di vista (anche perché appunto è il cattivo definitivo, o forse no?). Ultimi due punti: mi è spiaciuto un po' che nonostante i personaggi protagonisti in teoria sono tutta la GEN6 ad un certo punto si perdano gli altri e restino solo i personaggi di Film, Jane, Nani, Dew, Chimon e Love, mentre gli altri ricompaiono solo quando servono, parlando degi studenti, tipo mega punto, devo dire che pare un po' impossibile che alcuni personaggi alla fine si mostrino così amici, viste alcune delle cose che hanno passato, ma forse hanno fatto un po' di trauma bonding, che ne sappiamo noi. Detto ciò sono un po' triste che non abbiano almeno provato ad usare la chimica fra Dew e Nani che c'era diciamo grande. Ultima cosa, il finale aperto. Io li amo, quindi ok, però mi piacciono i finali aperti che siano aperti generici, non quelli dove mi viene introdotto un personaggio diciamo in maniera random (nel senso che c'è una ragione dietro all'introduzione di quel personaggio) e poi chiudere così la questione.
Direi seconda stagione?

Great show! It's very lightweight and easy to enjoy. Four nosy housewives were on a roll, solving a serial murder and other cases, from daily issues to the difficult one. Together, they formed ZoomVengers, a private detective squad, contained one with a "Sherlock" brain, one with an outstanding fighting skill, and two others... not so sure actually (good with acting skills, and the one provide logistics they said). It has good mixture between mystery and comedy. And the plot twist deserves an applause. Storywriters aren't brave enough to pull such plot twist lately.

The building residents were mostly brainrot. How come they dismissed the flasher issue when they mostly talked about building price? Was the flasher planned to became a tourist attraction? They even with no shame, clapped the ZoomVengers walking out from the Tae Sun's case scene, including the security guards! Like a normal superhero story, it definitely has a lot of plot armours. Tae Sun astonishingly failed to kill So Hui, when he never failed before. The shotgun at the supermarket case held too much magazine. The kid Eun Byeol had nearly no impact. The comparation of Kong Mi Ri to Sherlock Holmes was a bit loose though. She didn't even have Holmes trademark skill: being quick-witted.

It's a good show if you're looking for a lightweight mystery show, when you can enjoy it without having to process everything in your brain for too much.
