For Our Jade Goddess of Wealth

This is a rare C-Drama for me that has it all and does it all with amazing depth. The character development of this series was just incredible. It's so rare to find a series with such a large cast where you actually do care about all the other characters. But this series does that. I really have to commend that. And I think this is one thing to learn from: taking care to write each character with individuality and not just oversimplifying them to put superficial struggles in front of our heroine. The Hua clan ladies were the real heroes here and we love to see it!!!

p.s. I have never watched an emperor in one of these historical dramas that I hated more. That guy can eat dirt for eternity. I literally don't care that he's the main guy's uncle.

Slow burn. Really slow.

Every time you thinn something will happen between the main leads, we go back to the start. By elisode 7 i was sure they basically confessed to each other and that for the rest of the show we will watch them happy and in love... and then we go back to the start, they pretend nothing happened. This happenes basically every episode after. It was frustrating to watch. Too bad cause it had more potential.
I lovr side couple, the young guy is so adorable! I wish we got to see more of them!

No Major Conflicts RomCom

As the title says, this is one RomCom with no major conflicts once they get together. So that's a nice change of pace. No real review as this is just a sweet little show. Nothing crazy. Just my notes as I watched:

Okay it was obvious just from k-drama logic that 2FL and 2ML would get together but introducing them this early seems odd.

Ugh the spoiled girl seemed like she was getting better but nope. I hate the pouty, I don't know what I'm doing crap.

I really like Hae Rin at first but she's annoying now. The cucumber soju bs, showing up at this dude's house. Even her "It'll be so hard to get over you." like you weren't dating in the first place. lol

I'm sorry but why are we not talking about that girl LYING and almost getting Dan-I fired? Why are they brushing past that? I'm sorry we're actually trying to claim she thought she did ask Dan-I? It seemed VERY clear when confronted she blamed Dan-I because she knew she dropped the ball.

Wow... what a snake. I knew it. I'm so glad she got found out immediately. Dan-I has the patience and forgiving of a saint. The mistake isn't the problem, it's that she was going to cover it up after realizing it.

I don't love that they kept her around and ignored what she did. I also don't love the second love story. There is no connection and no time for him to like her. Like he found her super annoying and suddenly they're into each other?

Also, I thought they were gonna end without wrapping up the two young interns. I almost rioted. lol

Oh also, that guy was dying this whole time but not hooked up to a single thing. lmao He looked the same as he was dying as he did earlier when he was laying there alive and well.

Salmokji is an almost found footage like movie that instantly gave me Blair Witch vibes. A group of workers from a media crew come to reshoot some footage after their last footage went viral for showing a ghost in the water. This movie is really good at keeping your attention and having you look everywhere across the screen. Definitely one of those horror movies where the end ties everything together and has you realizing all the little clues dropped along the way. Fun and entertaining, but not really plot driven at all, just a fun water horror movie.

Bromance Action Drama

I am currently at episode 37 and I have very mixed feelings. On one hand, the action and the brotherhood drama are quite intense. Even though some scenes feel a bit over the top – like the blood pact on the wall followed by the sudden singing, which felt rather strange – the cinematography is undeniably cool.
However, if you are expecting a beautiful love story, you will be disappointed. The chemistry between the two main leads is practically non-existent. I feel absolutely nothing between them, and it wouldn't even make me sad if they didn't end up together. Their interactions feel illogical and cold. If you didn't already assume they were supposed to be a couple, you would hardly notice any romantic connection at all. To be honest, I hope to never experience a love story like that in my own life.
I am much more interested in the 7th Prince and the General. I really hope their story gets a proper ending, as we can't have every character's potential go to waste.
You can clearly feel the influence of the Go Princess Go production style. Having Peter Sheng in the cast, the constant use of wind machines, the dramatic lightning, and the stylized death scenes make it very obvious. It has a unique aesthetic, but that cannot hide the lack of emotional depth in the main relationship.
I will finish the last few episodes, but I’ve given up on the romance. I’m just here for the drama and the visuals now.

you won’t regret it

one of those dramas that sneaks up on you. it starts a little slow because it needs time to build the history and set everything up, but trust me give it a few minutes and you won’t regret staying.
the perfect mix of silly and serious. one minute you’re laughing at the ridiculous moments, the next you’re fully locked in with the heavier stuff. always captivating, never boring. i stayed till the very end and loved every bit of it.
P.S. Hong Kyung absolutely slayed his role like always he carries the whole thing with so much charm and depth. if you’re looking for something fun but with real feelings, this is it. highly recommend!

please watch it

This drama has easily become the best thing I’ve watched in a long time. Weak Hero is just… insane. The characters are some of the most complex and well-written I’ve ever seen, they feel so real it stays with you long after you finish.
It doesn’t shy away from heavy topics like child abuse, sexual assault, loneliness, envy, and how dangerous it is to keep everything bottled up. But somehow it still manages to be super entertaining. There are funny moments, captivating fight scenes that had me locked in, and just the right amount of tension. At its core though, it’s a story about real human pain and how important it is to speak up and ask for help before it’s too late.
If you’re thinking about watching it, just do it. It’s not just another school fight drama as i feared, it actually says something that matters. and the acting is just impeccable, 10/10. one of the most impactful shows I’ve seen.

Love That Lingers Beyond Time: NetJJ’s Chemistry in Love Upon a Time Is Simply Unforgettable

The moment Love Upon a Time was announced with Net and JJ, expectations were already sky-high—and honestly, it did not disappoint.

What makes this series stand out immediately is the acting. Net delivers a performance that feels grounded yet emotionally intense. There’s a certain quiet depth in the way he portrays longing and restraint, making even the smallest gestures feel meaningful. JJ, on the other hand, balances him perfectly with a more expressive and layered approach. His ability to shift from light, almost playful moments to deeply vulnerable scenes is what truly elevates their dynamic. Together, their chemistry feels natural, not forced—it flows in a way that makes you believe in every moment they share.

For a series that has built so much anticipation even before it began, they truly prove something—and it shows. All that experience, all the expectations surrounding them, translated into performances that feel refined and sincere. Honestly, they’ve gained a new fan in me, and I’ll definitely continue supporting these actors in their upcoming series in the future.

The story itself leans into a mix of romance, fate, and emotional growth. It’s not just about love in the present, but love that transcends time, choices, and consequences. While the pacing may feel slow in certain parts, it actually works in favor of the narrative, allowing viewers to sit with the characters and understand their motivations. The emotional payoff hits harder because of this build-up. It’s the kind of story that lingers even after an episode ends.

The cast deserves just as much praise. Supporting characters are not just fillers—they each bring something essential to the story. Whether it’s adding tension, warmth, or even moments of comic relief, the ensemble feels cohesive. No one feels out of place, which makes the world of the series more immersive.

As for rewatch value, this is where Love Upon a Time really shines. It’s the kind of series you’d want to revisit—not just for the romance, but for the subtle details you might have missed the first time. The emotional scenes hit differently when you already know what’s coming, and certain lines carry more weight on a second watch. It’s comforting and painful in the best way possible.

Overall, Love Upon a Time isn’t just another BL series—it’s an experience. With strong performances, a heartfelt story, and undeniable chemistry, Net and JJ have truly created something memorable. Definitely a series that earns its place on repeat.

P.S. If you find this review a little biased—well, it probably is in certain parts. I just fell in love with them the moment I saw clips of them together on my TikTok feed… haha.

something was missing

I really liked the idea and execution of the show, the plot, acting, characters and music was good but it definitely felt like it was missing something. The pacing felt a little on the slow side and the character death didn’t really make sense to me 😀

I really liked the younger daughter and her character development within her school.

The characters were all a little odd but in a good way? like it makes sense for a family of people with superpowers, i kinda wish we saw a better development of them regaining their powers.

overall it was good show that falls a little flat..? but truthfully the storyline kinda of make up for some of it

I finally finished the Chinese drama, Glory (not to be confused with the Chinese drama The Glory or the Korean revenge drama The Glory). The FL in Glory was one of the iciest Ice Queens ever. She was quite a contrast from the ML, whose emotions seemed to ping pong all over the place. Although it was difficult to see what they saw in each other (especially since she kept telling him that he could leave her) it was kind of fun watching their relationship develop. Or not. I also liked the fact that the FL character stayed consistent until the end, rather than melting into a mushy puddle of love. Like I said, ice in her veins.

popcorn > plot

If you're after an easy horror watch, this one delivers. It's quick, fast-paced and punchy to give you that instant adrenaline hit without overthinking. Don't try and piece it all together, sit back and enjoy the ride. Just don't expect to trust water as much after this one. A gripping popcorn flick for a low effort, high thrill experience, exactly what you came for.

Can you find me?

I didn't think I was going to like this, but I actually enjoyed it a lot. I think TeeTee and Por did a really good job, and I would definitely recommend this show. I would give it an 8.75 (8.5) out of 10, and I am going to say what I liked, what I disliked, and then an episode overview (but no matter what, give this show a shot).

My likes: North. That was one of my first positive comments about this show. North is genuinely one of the sexiest men this world has ever seen. Everything about him is just so perfect, and he doesn't get enough love, I swear. This show is really fun. It's fun in this weird way I can't really explain, but I lowkey love it. I think Domundi has a track record of terrible romance building (ie, Your Sky and Khemjira). And I love Khemjira, but it's very plot-heavy, and the romance sucks, and your sky is just no plot, and the romance sucks, but this was different. Duang with yous only plot is the romance bit (the same with your sky but they fucked that up), and they did this great. The characters felt real, embracing, and well human which I really enjoyed. They took their relationship slowly, and Duang waited for Qin and Qin made sure his feelings for Duang were actually real. Duang had a cringey but realistic chasing scene. Because all the time in Thai dramas, they fall immediately, and this was not the case. QIN DID NOT LIKE HIM AT ALL. But with time, they started to work through their emotions in this fun and imperfect way. It was lowkey awesome, and that's why I liked this dumb show so much. Something clicked in episode 3, and it might have been Por in that skinnylicious shirt, but suddenly the show got really good lmao. They were cringe, but they were free lmao. This show is so fucking whimsical lmao. I liked the details of their apartments; it made them feel more real. They had so many cute moments I fucking lmao them. Qin is lowkey a young ho and I love him for that. ALL OF THE "NC SCENES," THE EYE CONTACT, THE SHOWERING, THE SHIRTLESSNESS, YES, 100 TIMES YES. I am not gonna sit here and pretend to be a woker, I rewatched those scenes so many fucking times, and I will never stop because I love scenes like that. They took their time with that, and they didnt feel random, BECAUSE WE KNOW HOW TO SET THE FUCKING MOOD HOLY SHIT. Lowkey so well done, I am so proud of them (besides the kissing we can't kiss, but that's fine, I guess). The lore with the parents was nice. I do think that the whole babysitter thing was BS, but like that happens a lot irl, and what Duang's parents did happens a lot too, so that was nice to see. TeeTee and Por's acting and chemistry in this really brought it to life, and I hope they have at least one more show together because they are both really good. The one song I liked was You're My Cup of Tea, they just need to teach him how to pronounce English words. Qin talking to his parents was lowkey good, but Pors acting was lowkey bad, but then I felt myself about to cry, so he ate or whatevera. The full circle moment at the end was nice, a nice way to end the show. And that's all I liked (I will be rewatching again for the 2nd time).

There isn't a lot of stuff I didn't like because I thought this show was good, but there is still some. The first couple of episodes were lowkey hot, confusing ass. It was very choppy, so I think that they could have written that part out better. Also, this show is beyond cringe, and it is mostly in a good way, but at the start, it was a lowkey in a bad way because Duang's crush felt very superficial, and we were just kind of dropped in here without a lot of backing, and then the first 3 episodes didn't help this whatsoever. The weird dancing plot at the start was so fucking bullshit and so random because why is a decorative arts major and a jazz major dancing together in a competition? That makes actually zero sense, and the reason they gave was bullshit. They were running circles around each other a bit because of the slow burn, but they get through it. The novel is so boring lmao, not anything on the show, the show is fucking great, but I couldn't get through the novel. THE DANCE SCENE, Fuck no, I was not messing with that. ("FREEZEEE HELLOOOO??? FREEZE DANCE BREAK. THEY ARE IN THE WALLS, THEY ARE IN THE WALLS. OH I'M NOT HUNGRY, OH I'M NOT HUNGRY. PREESES AT WHAT COST?"). It felt very random and rushed, and just like they were trying to come up with a BS filler plot. Okay, my thoughts on the second couple are lowkey negative, because of the English parts. They weren't cute, they werent fun, it was just so god damn cringe my lord. Also, if you have a second couple, they need more screen time. I am being because I have no reason to care about them. I love North. He did great in this. Otto's eyes are lowkey very far apart, and the makeup they did on him made it worse, but he's cool too, but holy, sexualized. Like it was fine in some moments, and then in others, it just felt like poor character writing. I just wish they paced them out better; that's my main thing. We had a problem with having so much happening at the start of episodes, and then they die down to absolute nothing, and I think they needed to find some kind of middle ground. The whole asking to be his boyfriend episode felt very rushed, and I wish they did that a little better, but the ending was good (I beat my shit or whatevera). RANDOM JAPAN TRIP, we could have alluded to that more, because that felt so random. ALL THAT DAMN SINGING, GIRL BYE. LIKE I KNOW WE ARE JAZZ MAJOR BUT SHUT UP. We wasted the final 20 minutes of the show, and I think that we could have written that out and done that better, because that was just annoying, the dancing to a band I don't know, when we could have like, held hands outside or kissed or something. I just needed more. Okay, that's it for what I didn't like

My episode thoughts, yay! "I want to mother every last one of North's babies, he's so fucking handsome." "This kind of reminds me of secret crush on you in a good way." "We love this but hate secret crush on you, right i see how it is. DUANG CANT HANDLE ALL OF THAT, I CAN BABY I SO CAN, HE LOOK SO SEXY IN THAT SKINNYLICIOUS SHIRT, I CAN HANDLE ALL OF THATTTTTT." "Duang kick this guy's ass. Duang bend it over and make it clap." "HE LOOKS LIKE 3 PPL STACK ON EACH OTHER IN LIKE A TRENCH COAT LMAOO." "I dont know if teetee stopped taking thirst trap photos and locked in, but we have carried por twice in 5 minutes lmao." " TeeTee's hair pushed back got me acting and feeling brand new. POR HAS A LADY KILLER SMILE BC I HAVE BEEN KILLED OH MY GOD. QIN HOLDING HIS ARM AS THEY WALK IN THE RAIN, I WILL NEVER BE OKAYYY. DUANG QIN SO CUTE WITH THEIR COLLEGE ROMANCE, I'M PRAYING ON THEIR DOWNFALL. I am no better than a man bc aint nobody looking at that dog, i was looking at pors legs. like a dirty perv. QIN STAND UP. STOP TRYING TO SEDUCE HIM TO LET THE DOG SLEEP WITH YALL. 4th wall break from thee. DONT MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH US. I am a slut for a good full circle moment. NIGGGGAAAAAA I WILL NEVER BE OKAY OH MY GOD. HELP NIGGA, WHAT? QINNNN A P I M PPPPP BUT DID 50 FUCKING SAYYYY? IM GONNA MISS THEM SO MUCH."

This show was good, I am just a nitpicky hater. I would recommend this 100 percent, and dont let anyone tell you this show is bad. It is so much fucking fun. Okay bye!

This is as honest as possible

Honestly if I rewatch the previous episodes there are some parts I would have changed but I only can say good things about it let's start with the story: the story is definitely not for everybody there's a lot of drama between the couples but also a lot of tension. Especially when there is the more than two people Dynamics like if they are unsure about feelings and end up in situationships. There are also serious aspects talked about in this series and this might be not for everyone. There are also things that someone takes advantage of another person's feelings like especially Raffy and Tua. I think the story is really good but some things don't really fit into the style of the whole Concepts but most of the time it just makes me really happy to watch it.

Let's continue with the acting and cast: i need to say they are on the same level as the hearts killer when not even better you can clearly see how much the company put the effort in the series and also how well the actors present their role and also Express the emotions especially when dean cried after jack it was such a beautiful Moment. Also there is a lot of time where you just see the couples so you feel more connected with them or connected with their story and I think this is really helpful to feel into the story and know what you're thinking and there is a clearly difference between each couple with their problems so you really can't choose a favorite it depends a little on the episode.

Let's talk a little about the music in the series: maybe I'm a little biased but Gawin's intro is so good even if I can speak Thai i still sing with him and also the music video to it is so good. The music in the play itself are also mostly handmade by the actors or the staff so you really see how much that series means to them and mostly the music is perfectly placed and is making everything more emotional.

Overall I would say the rewatch value is really high but I have to feeling after a few times you can know what will happen so you would need to wait a few years to find the same Amusement on it again but it's really really great bL drama.

or more like "if friendship could kill"

Human beings are the only creatures that have the ability to speak, but they can't communicate. As long as human beings' selfish desires exist, no one can break the curse.
I am not into these horror , mystery thriller, and gruesome shows, but people on Reddit said it's kinda similar to "Night Has Come", so I picked it up. I went with fewer expectations, but the acting amazed me.
Honestly, there are a lot of loopholes in the plot; I can't even fathom whether it is an open ending or a season 2 teaser .
The cast gave their everything , it felt realistic with their acting. *clap clap*
Maybe it could be better if we could get 12 episodes to show some character story and about their friendship; it passed too fast, even though I was rooting for the second main lead and the female lead, but we needed more of their parts.
The story was jumping back and forth with the storyline, so it was kinda confusing
If season 2 gets announced, then of course I will watch it because I watched season 1 and want answers to my questions, but I do think the plot could be better.
Avoid if you can't watch blood and gore, and please check trigger warnings.

Well written story

Complex, quirky, enchanting and easy to watch. I liked the character development and the c ast. The story was well developed with no loose ends. I especially liked the character interviews. As with most of these K drama s,the period costume s are amazing, the set designs (I want to live there) and the scenery, gardens, mountain s,paths,streams... Beautiful.
