Nice Surprise!
I'd just finished watching the incredibly emotional roller coaster ride The Red Sleeve so was desperately looking for something to distract my poor depleted emotions so to speak, and happened upon Azure Spring. And what a lovely surprise!
A short well made, well written and set in a beautiful spot drama...it was exactly what I needed.
This healing storyline, using water as it's metaphor, was never heavy-handed for me and I though each main character's own trauma was well integrated into the whole story. There is little if no romance except for the potentiality of one that any viewer will see. And that potentially was really well developed, especially in only 6 episodes. In truth the lead pair had good chemistry so a few episodes longer to start to develop that side of the story would have been welcomed.
Overall, I truly enjoyed and was totally entertained through all 6 episodes...worth the watch!
And a P.S. to the powers that be....Would LOVE to see the ML, Kang Sang Jun, in some more male lead roles...he has quite the presence, he gives me a kind of Seo In-guk vibe.

Very satisfying watch.
June 2026I loved this drama and the episodes simply melted away!
Yes it's violent, OTT, and causing controversy in its use of meeting fire with fire, regardless of the villains' age.
The pace is pretty fast and there's also humour to balance the tougher aspects.
A tragedy leads to a prominent politician setting up a specialist inspection team, that is sent into schools experiencing pupil issues that are out of control.
The main reason for doing this, is as much about protecting the right of other students to study and learn, as it is in providing them with a safe and protected environment in which to do that.
It's also about protecting teachers, who in many schools across the world now, can be in danger of losing their lives to a student, if addressing disruptive behaviour and violence.
It's not all about bad pupils, either; it's parents and teachers that stand in the way of these goals, that are brought to task too.
For me, the most difficult storyline was ep 6 on, and some completely evil juvenile delinquents, who hid behind their age, and were protected by an impotent legal system because of that. This, coupled with parents completely out of touch with them, who just wanted the atrocities of their offspring to vanish.
Parents who endanger their own children through emotional blackmail and control, or by actually supporting their behaviour, are dealt with, too.
A manipulative mother storyline was pretty hard hitting.
I felt this series is a platform that uses the beyond reality action scenes and story lines, to highlight the very real issues that exist for both good teachers and willing students, in schools everywhere.
Parents are shown as a sometimes major part of the problem, which is often all too true.
That the young are totally capable of manipulating, lying and being extremely capable in destroying the lives of others, is not fictional, either.
The team are so diverse, and whilst I initially thought Jin Ki-joo's character (Im Han-rim) would drive me π¦π© , I ended up loving her!
Seeing P.O (Pyo Jihoon of BlockB) in a drama again, makes me very happy, too... his character provides not a few giggles.
A totally captivating watch for me. Even yhough totally OTT it was so satisfying seeing those who felt no remorse, and had no intention of changing, get their just desserts, whilst others turned a page.

Good Storyline
A gripping and emotionally charged story centered on a country girlβs relentless ambition to break into Bangkokβs elite society. The narrative explores themes of obsession, identity, and the cost of social mobility, making it both engaging and thought-provoking. From the very beginning, the drama pulls viewers into a world where appearances matter, and every decision carries weight. At the heart of the story is the main character, portrayed by Baifern, whose performance is outstanding. She brings depth and nuance to a complex role, capturing the inner conflict of a young woman torn between her humble origins and her burning desire for acceptance among the upper class. Baifern skillfully conveys both vulnerability and determination, making the characterβs journey feel real and compelling.
The intensity keeps the audience glued, as each episode reveals new layers of her personality and the consequences of her actions. Definitely worth watching.

Started strong but dragged.
May 2026.A modern day office worker finds herself transported into the realms of cultivation, and ends up serving a cold and powerful Grandmaster, sealed in his mountain palace for half a century.
She is a master slacker who just wants an easy life.... which she obviously doesn't get!
There is a lot of humour in the early episodes, but as the story progresses, truths get revealed, and feelings grow, things become more tense, as battles for power and freedom take over.
I liked the cast, but didn't feel the FL made a convincing leader, as the story moved forward.
The ML I thought conveyed his power and frustrations well, but he didn't feel different enough as his character changed.
That is a fault of the writing and directing, to my mind.
I found the earlier episodes flowed better, but got bored with the drawn out feuding.
The supposedly most powerful were often too easily blindsided and overcome.
The story moves through lifetimes; a concept which I liked, but was wasted to an extent, I felt, by not being fresh enough when that happened ~ instead carrying over a too similar plot line.
I was never moved to tears by this story, although there was no shortage of tragedy.
The ending wrapped things up very neatly and on what I felt was a positive note, however.

This would make sense in a dystopian world...
There was good about this show, and some not so good. I struggle watching anything about bullying, but when reading a lot of comments saying it was so funny, I decided to give it a chance. I didn't find it funny. There were some humorous lines, yes, but the subject matter was very dark. It was well-done, and I realize that most people will enjoy it, which worries me a little. I would like to think we are not becoming desensitized to violence and profanity. It was well-acted. I had a difficult time watching the ML, because he looked so much like John Cena! He's attractive, but I kept wondering why John Cena was in a Korean drama.
The premise of the different stories for each episode was good. I also liked how they addressed the problems with teachers and parents as well as students.
However, the thought that adults can come into a school and beat up kids is just too far-fetched. Bullies terrorize those weaker than them. You are saying it's wrong to bully, but yet with adults it's okay? I did, however, really like how the ML dealt with the crazy stalking parent.
Must there be so much cursing? Has anyone ever watched something and said, "Boy, I wish there was more cursing in that."? The innumerable times the 'F' word was used - more often than not translated for a lesser curse word being used. It's a Netflix show, I get it, but it bothers me.
I'm aware that most will disagree with my thoughts. That's what they are, my thoughts, so please don't come at me.

A Much-Needed Epilogue
I'm used to special episodes being completely plotless or just outright nonsensical, so I was very curious what a high-level production like To My Shore might end up coming up with. I was (mostly) pleasantly surprised!I'll start with the drawbacks: the kisses feel very restrained after what we've seen in the main series, and it's a bit awkward to see regular tourists gawking in every single scene. It's especially jarring at the very end, when Fan Xiao and You Shulang share such an important moment.
At the same time, these drawbacks can be actually explained by the plot, so I'm not as annoyed as I might have been otherwise. You Shulang is canonically restrained when it comes to public displays of affection, and if I saw two beautiful men making out on the beach, my eyes would probably linger, too.
Now, to the strong side, which is basically everything else. This special episode actually has vital bits of character development. They closed the chapter with Lu Zhen in a way I felt missing in the series, and they revisited Fan Xiao's trauma and gave him a way to take another healing step forward.
The way You Shulang reframed Fan Xiao's view of his trauma is incredibly beautiful. I was so moved I went speechless. My loved one has also become a part of the sea, and I used to feel like they embody it now. You Shulang put my half-baked thoughts into such clear concepts that I felt myself healing along with Fan Xiao. I could re-watch this moment endlessly.
Their final pre-wedding internal conversations with their Moms... Such a powerful, beautiful moment. A perfect epilogue that erased the "bitter" from the "bittersweet" I felt after E15.
And the overall character development was fantastic. We can see that Fan Xiao is still intensely jealous and insecure; we can see You Shulang being tolerant toward it and allowing him to act out, but only to a certain extent. He puts a stop to it when he feels it's too much, and Fan Xiao listens to him. It's a realistic reflection of the people they became after the end of the main series. I admit I laughed that Fan Xiao had to be reminded to be good twice within the first 10 minutes of the episode :D That psycho.
To My Shore is the very best dark romance I've ever watched, and this special episode is a blessing. I do wish it was longer. Now, we have 3 mini-episodes coming out on the 11th, 14th, and 17th; looking forward to them!

Daou Pittaya and Offroad Kantapon in another drama⦠Sign me in⦠Haha⦠The story follows Pheem, the youngest heir to the powerful Yossinpaisarn hospital empire. After spending years in exile following severe childhood abuse and betrayal by his own flesh and blood, Pheem returns to the fold with an icy demeanor and a calculated plan to seize absolute control of the family business. He is no longer the defenseless boy they cast aside; he is now a man determined to dismantle his family's legacy piece by piece.
During the grand opening of a major hospital project, an assassination attempt is made on Pheemβs life. He is saved by Than, a former elite police officer whose own career was destroyed after being framed by corrupt, influential figures. Impressed by Thanβs abilities and unwavering instincts, Pheem hires him as his personal bodyguard.
At first, they clash constantly. Than is honest, warm, and driven by justice. Pheem is secretive, emotionally guarded, and willing to manipulate anyone to survive. His return isnβt just about powerβitβs about revenge. He means to make those who hurt him pay.
As Than is pulled deeper into the toxic world of the Yossinpaisarn family, he faces lethal traps, media scandals, and more assassination attempts. But the hardest part of his job isnβt the dangerβitβs Pheem himself. Cold, manipulative, and always testing limits, Pheem even stages risky situations just to test Thanβs loyalty.
But as danger closes in, things begin to shift. Than starts to see the pain beneath Pheemβs crueltyβthe scars no one else notices. And Pheem, for the first time, begins to rely on someone who treats him not with fear or greed, but with genuine care.
Meanwhile, secrets also begin to surfaceβabout illegal drug trafficking hidden within the hospital business, long-buried betrayals, and the dark games each member of the Thanavej family has been playing. Power is the only rule. Trust is a weakness.
Their relationship evolvesβfrom distrust and duty, to dependency, and finally to something deep and real. Despite the deception and constant threat, a complex romance forms between them.
Than becomes the emotional anchor, seeing past the icy exterior to the wounded soul underneathβone that has never known safety, or unconditional love. And Pheem, for all his plans, finds himself changed. His heart, once locked away, begins to feel something he canβt control.
Now, Than must decide how far heβs willing to go to protect Pheem. And Pheem must choose: continue down the path of revengeβ¦ or risk everything for the first person who ever truly stood by him.
That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.
I am always fond of the chemistry between Daou and Offroad. But the story overall is quite basic & honestly quite easy to forgetβ¦

MOST UNDERRATED C-DRAMA OF ALL TIME ???
I have been following the both leads since their first collab, and just until a few months ago i found this underrated gem. After digging for sci-fi/ mystery dramas i came across this, i was really surprised that I've never heard of it, especially since the leads are pretty famous like rui peng , wei long , and my fav , cun cun.throughout the series, I've never once felt bored. fyi, i get really sick of basic and non-thrilling story-lines. there was so much going on every episode, and i really love it. the acting was really good, the phoenix squad also gave me a really wholesome feeling, idk why, prob bcuz i just love friend groups that go through adventures together. every ep either makes me cry, excited, or scared πππππ»
after the series, i felt really empty, cuz it really was the best drama i watched. ALSO! i watched some bts, and their genuine friendship really made me so happy that they treated each-other just like how they were on-screen, and not just like distant co-workers
thats it for now, bai bai
pray for 3rd collab ( ιΎιΎ and εε)

Sometimes itβs a good choice not to listen to MDL reviewsβ¦
Why the heck is everyone reviewing this so low?!!! This series took a blink of an eye to finish because I literally could not stop watching it. Main couple is so cuteee, but the side couple definitely stole the show. KhaoNew are the most adorable, Khao is the man in the relationship and New is similar to Duang a bit from DuangWithYou, heβs like a golden retriever boyfriend and he just listens to whatever Khao says and sheβs such a good friend and girlfriend, sheβs always looking out for everyone especially Som-O and New :)The storyline is so so gooood and I love that the audience gets to watch the characters grow up characters since they start in high school till they all get married.
The only thing I probably didnβt like was that towards the end, Chadjen was literally just raigebait until he made up for it so it cancelled everything out.
If you want a drama thatβs gonna make you giggle and smile 24/7 because of cuteness, please watch <333

Loved the OST.
June 2026.I found this fantasy drama quite entertaining; it has funny and also moving content.
Main cast members take on multiple roles however, which I sometimes found confusing.
Characters hidden without being aware, diversions, deceit, betrayal, and stand-ins... a lot is packed into the story.
There are Nine-tailed Foxes, dragons, snakes, and butterfly demons... it's quite the menagerie! A very attractive cast.
Sometimes it was drawn out, but a more than decent watch overall.
