Bikin Kepikiran 10 Tahun

Bukan lebay, drama ini bikin aku kepikiran mulu selama 10 tahun lebih karena nontonnya gak tuntas.
Dulu sepintas nonton drama ini waktu masih bocil di salah satu chanel tv, dan waktu udah agak gede gak ketemu platform streaming manapun buat bisa nonton drama ini. Akhirnya baru bisa nonton setelah sekian lama.

Ketika kamu udah nonton 2 episode, kamu gak bakalan berhenti sampai disitu aja. Nah, 2 episode ini yang bikin aku kepikiran mulu selama 10 tahun lebih. Drama ini bener-bener pinter banget bikin kamu ngerasain naik turun kayak roller coaster. Setiap episodenya bikin kamu penasaran dan gak bakalan sadar tiba-tiba lanjut episode berikutnya.

Soal detail dan keakuratan drama ini sebenarnya aku gak tau banyak ttg bidang siber, tapi menurutku enjoyable dan logis. Bukan yang tanpa alasan bisa tiba-tiba jadi atau mendapatkan hasil yang diinginkan. Bener-bener kita mengikuti alur pemikiran para karakternya. Jadi cukup realistis. Bukan berarti tokoh utama trus jalannya mulus-mulus aja gitu.

Chemistry para karakternya juga asik ditonton. Yang paling aku suka sama interaksi Kim Woo Hyun dan Kwon Hyuk Joo, sering berantem tapi bestie gitu lah. Trus female lead kita Yoo Kang Mi, bukan hanya beauty tapi juga brainy. Female lead satset dan cerdas (ya walaupun kadang clumsy) tapi bisa diandalkan banget. Angin segar banget buat karakter fl yang pada zaman itu pasti lagi ngetren fl yang lebih lembut.

Soal teknis pengambilan gambar, ya layaknya drama-drama tahun itu. Pakai tone suram dan misterius apalagi untuk drama bertema misteri. Shot-shot yang diambil juga khas banget drama dari belasan tahun lalu. Tapi gak mengganggu jalan cerita samsek kok, malah bikin unik. Selain itu aku suka banget sama shot-shot detail/close up yang memperlihatkan proses hacking. Mungkin gak bener-benr akurat, tapi berhasil convince aku kalo itu beneran. Karena di jaman sekarang scene semacam itu cuma dishot pake green screen dan ditempel cgi.

Kesimpulannya, drama ini emang worth ditonton stelah kepikiran selama bertahun-tahun. Buat kamu yang gamau capek-capek baca review ku diatas, intinya drama ini layak buat kamu coba. Drama ini bikin nagih dan ngasih vibe yang gak akan kamu dapatkan di drama-drama sekarang.

Just what I needed

The main characters were near perfect for me. The story line felt rushed at the end, but the rest of the drama made up for the ending plot. I love the fake marriage of convenience to love trope...The strong FL was done very well. She was strong without being annoying and was believable even though she is obviously a petit female. The supporting characters were perfection. I love the found family she had. Let's not forget the ML and his ultra dreaminess. From his quiet demeanor, to his secret title of power being hid, to the ultimate protective love for the FL....I love it all. The chemistry between leads is what all actors and directors should seek in their dramas...Wonderfully unmatched.

This was my first c-drama...and it will be very tough to beat...and I have tried to find another with characters like these. They must have been exactly what I needed.

The only good thing about this is the baby

The only thing watchable is that baby, cause he is super cute, aside from that nothing is interesting at all.
And to put all that weight on a 3 YO baby to make this work is just a stretch, why didn't they invest more in writing better characters and better actors.

And I'm not hating on the actors at all, i love the two MLs, but the BIH here was so meh! The FL is someone i don't know and i can't really say if she is actually a good actress or not since the ML who i like is barely good here, so she could be Meryl Streep for all i know but she doesn't seem like that here because the script is so bad and her character is terrible.

The SML too, he is literally the best but somehow they opted to make the FL ends up with the ML because.... No reason just what the writer wanted.

So yeah, aside from the couple of minutes in each episode where Baby Yuho appears on screen, nothing worth watching...

'The Story of Women Who Fight' — Powerful, Emotional, and Criminally Underrated

Every once in a while, on a whim, I choose to watch a low-rated series. Normally, ratings, reviews, and audience comments are what determine whether I'll give a show a chance. But once in a blue moon, that spontaneous decision leads me to something I can only describe as a hidden gem—a true masterpiece.

This was one of those rare occasions.

I randomly decided to watch it simply because I wanted to see a series starring actors chosen for their talent rather than just their looks, and because it was only five episodes long. What I didn't expect was to stumble upon one of the finest adaptations of real events I have ever seen. Even more astonishing was discovering that most of the story is actually true.

The series chronicles the golden era of Japanese women's professional wrestling in the 1980s—a phenomenon whose popularity, cultural impact, and sheer intensity genuinely felt like uncovering a forgotten revolution in history. As someone deeply interested in history, it's incredibly rare for me to come across an entire cultural movement that I knew almost nothing about.

I won't go into the plot or story details to avoid spoilers (the synopsis already does a good job of setting things up). Instead, I'll focus on why I loved this series so much. For context, anything I rate between **9 and 10** belongs to my personal S-tier, and this comfortably earns its place there.

What impressed me the most was how effortlessly the series made me feel exactly what the creators intended—without ever feeling manipulative. That's something many shows, especially some K-dramas, struggle with. Too often, emotional moments rely on artificially shocking twists that you understand are necessary from a storytelling perspective, but rarely *feel* organically earned.

This series was different.

The excitement, joy, heartbreak, tension, and shock all emerged naturally as the events unfolded. Knowing that these moments were rooted in real history elevated the entire experience to another level. Yes, the series takes a few creative liberties here and there, but with the real personalities involved in the production, it never loses sight of the truth at the heart of the story.

The performances deserve immense praise. Every actor delivers a phenomenal performance, and the character development is equally exceptional. I could genuinely feel the gradual evolution of each character, and every transformation felt emotionally and logically justified—something many storytellers fail to achieve.

The editing is another major strength. Not once did my attention drift away from the screen. That's saying a lot because I've found myself struggling to stay engaged with many highly acclaimed series lately. Here, every scene served a purpose, and the pacing remained consistently gripping throughout.

Of course, there are a few things I personally might have done differently. I would have included a handful of additional real-life incidents to provide greater historical context, and perhaps explored some more personal moments that could have made the emotional highs hit even harder. But honestly, those are incredibly minor nitpicks. Who am I to question the decisions of creators who crafted such an outstanding piece of storytelling?

In the end, I'll simply say this: the chances of you being disappointed by this series are incredibly slim. The only real exception would be if you find graphic violence difficult to watch. Some wrestling scenes are fairly explicit, featuring bloodshed and brutal injuries. I suspect that's one reason why the show has received lower ratings from some viewers. But after watching footage of the actual matches, I realised the series wasn't exaggerating for dramatic effect—it was staying remarkably faithful to reality. In fact, portraying that brutality honestly was essential to understanding the physical and emotional sacrifices these wrestlers made. Sanitising those moments would have not only weakened the story but also would have taken important parts of it away.

Sometimes the best stories aren't the ones everyone is talking about—they're the ones you discover by accident. And for me, this was one of those unforgettable discoveries.

Great story but to me, poorly filmed

The plot is beautiful and deep
but the filming... I could not take it. THE POINT OF THIS MOVIE IS TO CELEBRATE LIFE and all the connections of the Whole
yet the movie is so.... damp gloomy lifeless.

***The message of the movie is so warm and positive and light, and does not match the TONE of the movie, how it was filmed. *** So .... desolate, slow, and ... somehow... remote... Too soapy melodrama and somehow so ... flat dead.... slow sad.... lifeless...

And the music... ah so over the top and distracting.

So we NEVER get that feeling that the postman actually GOT the message deeply inside him and FELT IT DEEPLY

We see him riding around with his cat - that's the only thing the writer could think about????

So I just read the plot and fast forwarded through the movie.

Filmed properly, this would be a masterpiece.

i guess this is a good watch for beginners ...

storyline was a bit confusing for me... i feel like there are parts that are important in the movie, but are not explained well, or the explanation was lacking. nevertheless, i really enjoyed the creative camera angles. i feel like it was able to give feelings of uneasiness and it somehow feels like u r in the scene. i dont think i have seen some of the camera angles in other horror movies, so it was very refreshing and interesting.

..and since this is a horror movie, i liked the timing of the jumpscares. they were not overdone nor it was underwhelming (..at least for me since i dont really like watching hardcore horror movies 😆). if u want a relatively easy watch horror film, then i guess u will like this one. some scenes were predictable, some were not but they knew how to build tension in those scenes. overall, it was good but hoped that it was longer...

A Warm Hug in Drama Form

*The Best Thing* truly lives up to its title. It's easily one of the best dramas I've watched, not because it's overly dramatic, but because of how gentle, comforting, and emotionally sincere it is.

One of my favorite aspects of the drama was He Su Ye's relationship with Shen Xi Fan. I loved the way he supported her through her condition with so much patience, understanding, and care. He never tried to "fix" her overnight; instead, he stayed by her side, encouraged her to heal at her own pace, and became someone she could genuinely rely on. Their relationship felt mature and reassuring, showing that love can be quiet, consistent, and healing.

What made this drama even more special was the comfort it brought me. Watching He Su Ye and Shen Xi Fan's journey felt incredibly therapeutic, and for reasons I can't fully explain, this drama healed a part of me too. It reminded me that healing isn't always about grand gestures—it can come from kindness, patience, and having someone who truly understands you.

Overall, *The Best Thing* is a warm, comforting drama with heartfelt performances, beautiful storytelling, and a romance that feels both realistic and deeply touching. It's the kind of series I'll gladly revisit whenever I need something that feels like a warm hug.

The summer they never truly left behind

At its heart, Never-Ending Summer is not just a romance. It's a story about trauma, grief, guilt, family, and the impossible choices people make when they believe they are protecting the ones they love.
But I think there's a lof of misunderstanding, so let's analyse it all:

Zhou Wan is, without question, one of the strongest aspects of the drama. She's not strong because she's fearless or because she always makes the right decisions. She's strong because life forces her to grow up far too early. After losing her father, being abandoned by her mother, and watching her grandmother become the only family she has left, Zhou Wan never really gets the chance to experience a normal childhood. By the time she's a teenager, she's already carrying responsibilities that no sixteen-year-old should ever have to face. When her grandmother becomes seriously ill, desperation replaces innocence.
This is exactly why I never saw her as manipulative.
Yes, approaching Lu Xixiao because of the connection between their families was morally questionable. The drama never pretends otherwise. But it also makes it painfully clear that Zhou Wan hated herself for even considering it. She wasn't driven by greed or revenge—she was driven by fear. Fear of losing the only person who had never abandoned her.
That doesn't excuse her decisions. But it makes them completely understandable.

Lu Xixiao is another character I found incredibly well written. I think many viewers reduce him to "the guy who got his heart broken," but his emotional wounds began long before Zhou Wan entered his life. Watching his mother die by suicide as a child is a trauma that shaped every part of who he became. Add to that an emotionally distant father and a family that valued reputation over love, and it's easy to understand why he struggled to trust people.
Then Zhou Wan appeared. She didn't magically heal him, but she gave him something he hadn't experienced in years: peace.
For the first time since his mother's death, he smiled again. He allowed himself to imagine a future that wasn't defined by loneliness.
That's why their relationship feels so meaningful.

The turning point of the story—the stabbing incident—is where I think many viewers misunderstand Zhou Wan the most. By that point, she was already drowning in guilt. She blamed herself for entering Lu Xixiao's life under false pretenses, even if her intentions had changed long before. From Zhou Wan's perspective, leaving wasn't an act of selfishness.
It was an act of sacrifice. She genuinely believed Lu Xixiao would have a happier, easier life without her. That's what makes her decision so heartbreaking. She wasn't right.
But she truly believed she was.

The chemistry between the two leads also deserves a lot of praise. Their relationship never feels overly dramatic or exaggerated. Instead, it's carried by quiet emotions, lingering glances, and conversations that say far more than dramatic declarations ever could. Their performances make it easy to believe that these two people spent ten years loving each other even while living separate lives.
Visually, the drama is equally beautiful. The cinematography captures both the warmth of youth and the melancholy of adulthood with remarkable sensitivity. The soundtrack fits the emotional tone perfectly, enhancing rather than overwhelming the quieter moments. Everything about the production feels soft, intimate, and nostalgic, which perfectly complements the story being told.

What I appreciated most about Never-Ending Summer is that it refuses to offer easy answers.
Love doesn't erase trauma.
Apologies don't undo years of pain.
And sometimes, people make terrible decisions because they genuinely believe they're doing the right thing.

The reunion after ten years isn't satisfying because it magically fixes everything. It's satisfying because, for the first time, both characters finally understand each other. Lu Xixiao understands why Zhou Wan left, while Zhou Wan finally realizes that she was never the burden she believed herself to be.

In the end, Never-Ending Summer isn't a story about perfect people making perfect choices. It's about two broken individuals trying to survive the weight of their past while slowly finding the courage to forgive—not only each other, but also themselves.
This drama never asked me to agree with every decision its characters made.
It simply asked me to see the world through their eyes.
And that's exactly why it stayed with me long after the final episode.

The Perfect Enemies-to-Lovers Pair

This is one of the reasons I keep coming back to costume dramas. I absolutely love the enemies-to-lovers trope, and *Love in the Clouds* executed it beautifully. Watching the relationship evolve from constant bickering and misunderstandings to mutual trust, unwavering support, and genuine love made every episode more engaging. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the gradual development of their romance made every emotional moment feel well-earned.

One of my favorite characters was Ming Yi. I loved how she disguised herself as a man before eventually embracing her true identity again. Instead of feeling like a cliché, her disguise became an important part of her journey, allowing her character to grow while creating many memorable and entertaining moments. What stood out most was her courage. Ming Yi wasn't afraid to make difficult decisions, fight for what she believed in, and protect the people she loved. She was intelligent, resilient, and independent, making her such an easy character to admire.

I also preferred Ji Bo Zai's portrayal in the drama over his novel counterpart. His personality felt more charming and expressive, and I especially loved how shamelessly devoted he was to Ming Yi. Even when he claimed to resent her because of the circumstances surrounding their switched identities at birth, his actions always revealed the opposite. He constantly looked out for her, protected her whenever she was in danger, and quietly put her well-being before his own. That contrast between his words and his actions made his character even more lovable and added so much emotional depth to their relationship.

Beyond the romance, the drama balanced humor, political intrigue, and heartfelt moments well, keeping the story entertaining without losing its emotional core. Overall, *Love in the Clouds* had everything I look for in a historical romance: compelling characters, meaningful character development, an engaging plot, and a romance that kept me invested until the very end.

A Slow Burn Done Right

This is one of those dramas that has easily become one of my comfort series. It has a slow-burn romance with a love square, but the pacing never felt dragging. Instead, every episode naturally built the relationships and allowed the characters to grow, making each moment feel worthwhile.

I found this youth drama incredibly heartwarming and adorable. The story flowed so smoothly that I never felt the need to skip any scenes. Even though I usually don't enjoy watching slow-burn romances—I prefer reading them—I was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing this drama felt. The chemistry between the characters, the wholesome moments, and the comforting atmosphere kept me invested from beginning to end. It's the kind of series that leaves you smiling long after you finish watching.

Never-Ending Miscommunication

i wanted to like this as it has all the key elements I have been craving for, the second-chance romance, first-love, angst, and beautiful cast. i love the kdrama “our beloved summer” and honestly still my favorite kdrama till this day, and i celebrated the release of NES, but it was a let down.

if this drama came during my youth, and my frontal lobe has not been fully developed yet, I would probably enjoyed it. So much illogical in the plot and how these characters react to one another that you have to fully turn your brain off, to enjoy it, unfortunately i cannot.

the show also failed to give me a proper moment of transition of feelings, like i felt I was suddenly spoon-fed that they suddenly have deep feelings for each other, like no simple “i admire you” to “i care for you” to “i love you so much” it felt like i skip a few chapters.

the biggest downfall of this was the endless MISCOMMUNICATION!! at one point it just got tiring.

a potential that is wasted.

A Reader's Mixed Feelings

As someone who has read the webtoon, I was initially disappointed by how many changes were made to the plot, especially since I had been looking forward to the live-action adaptation for so long. However, as I continued watching, I found myself appreciating some of those changes. They fit the direction of the new storyline and, for the most part, made sense. That said, I still wish they had kept the protagonists' first meeting the same as in the webtoon because it felt more natural and meaningful there. Even so, considering the new direction the adaptation took, I can understand why they changed it.

Mais um bl assistido

Tá, então. Vou citar primeiro o que eu gostei.

Eu até gostei e achei divertidinho os dois primeiros episódios.
No geral, o TeeTee e o Por têm uma química boa, entregam bons beijos e afins. Quando os personagens já estão namorando, parece uma relação natural. Eu acredito na relação que estou vendo, e isso é ótimo.

Agora vamos falar do elefante na minha sala: o Duang.

Como eu disse, achei ele divertido... até achar cansativo. A infantilidade dele foi demais pra mim. Já vi outros personagens carismáticos e brincalhões que eram melhores construídos e não tão exagerados a ponto de eu achar forçado. Entendo que a proposta fosse justamente fazer dele um personagem fofo e engraçado, mas, para mim, acabaram exagerando tanto nessas características que, depois de um tempo, ele deixou de ser divertido e passou a me causar vergonha alheia e impaciência.

O que levanta outra questão que me incomodou: o Qin rejeitou o Duang mais de uma vez, e o Duang continuou atrás dele igual um espírito obsessor.
Eu sei que na Tailândia existe essa questão de cortejar alguém que você quer namorar, mas, sei lá, eu achei incômodo.
O Duang nem amigo do Qin era, ele nem conhecia o Qin, nem interesse em iniciar uma amizade primeiro ele tinha. Ele deixou claro desde o começo que o objetivo dele era namorar, e achei meio chato isso. Além disso, mesmo que o Qin gostasse dele no fundo, o Duang não tinha como saber disso. Na perspectiva dele, ele só estava insistindo atrás de uma pessoa que já tinha dito "não" mais de uma vez.
Acho que a relação teria sido mais interessante se essa aproximação tivesse acontecido de forma mais natural. Pensa só: se o Qin fosse uma mulher, que problemão iria ser. Mas só porque ele também é homem está tudo certo? Esse foi um dos pontos que mais me incomodou durante a série, e está diretamente ligado a personalidade do Duang.

A personalidade do Qin eu achei ok. Ele é meio inexpressivo e frio até a metade +-
O que me faz lembrar que ri muito desse meme que usaram com ele: "CHEGOOOU a boneca cara de ku, ela chega na sua casa com cara de ku, vai embora com cara de ku, nada muda, nada alegra, nada anima..." 😂😂😂

Mas acho que o Por conseguiu mostrar um pouco da dualidade do personagem. O arco dele também é interessante, principalmente a história com a babá e o problema com os pais, que dão tudo para ele, menos a atenção que ele realmente precisa. Aos poucos, fui entendendo melhor o que levou ele a ser do jeito que era.

Já o Duang, diferente do Qin, não me passou profundidade nenhuma. Talvez esse tenha sido outro motivo para eu não amar e nem conseguir me conectar tanto com o personagem. Enquanto o Qin tinha um arco que me ajudou a entender suas atitudes, senti que o Duang ficou muito preso em círculos, sem um desenvolvimento que me fizesse criar uma conexão maior com ele. A série claramente queria que eu me apaixonasse pelo Duang, mas eu nunca consegui.

Sobre os personagens secundários, não tenho muito o que acrescentar. Nem lembro muito deles, para ser bem honesta. O casal secundário também não me chamou muita atenção. Não foram personagens que marcaram ou foram muito essenciais na história para mim.

Eu costumo achar bls universitários bem repetitivos e desnecessariamente longos, com algumas exceções. Em histórias assim, se eu não me apegar aos casais, eu pelo menos espero me divertir. Aqui, minha diversão não durou tanto quanto eu queria. Como eu não estava tão imersa na história, principalmente por causa do Duang, tive a sensação de que a série era mais longa do que realmente precisava ser.

A parte musical da série... eu queria ter gostado mais. Não foi ruim, mas senti 0 personalidade. Não teve nenhum momento musical que eu me lembre pra dizer que me marcou.

Eu não li a novel, então não sei se foi o roteiro que extrapolou na personalidade do Duang, se foi o roteiro que foi o grande vilão dessa história, que fez com que ela fosse pra mim, apenas mais uma...

Para resumir, acho que é um BL que pode ser relativamente agradável para várias pessoas, mas eu achei bem superestimado. Acho que esse BL se tornou tipo o Me and Thee da DMD. Já comentei que também acho Me and Thee superestimado, mas, ainda assim, gosto mais dele. E não estou de favoritismo.

No fim, foi uma série que simplesmente não funcionou para mim. Não acho que seja uma série ruim a ponto de dizer que ninguém deveria assistir, mas, para mim, foi uma experiência bem abaixo do que eu esperava.

Esperava que os atores pegassem uma série não universitária para um próximo projeto. Infelizmente irão sim ter outra série universitária. Eu entendo que os atores devem se sentir mais confortáveis nesse tipo de projeto, afinal, são novos realmente.
Mas acho que após Duang With You, seria interessante sair um pouco dessa bolha, mas preferiram continuar surfando no hype dela, o que definitivamente vai funcionar, mas talvez não vá trazer nenhuma experiência mais diferentona do que eles já estão acostumados.

Entertaining and really allows Wang Xuan to show off his range

This was an entertaining, quick watch as a short form drama with only 16 episodes. I quite enjoyed it. This is a case of hidden identities amidst palace intrigue, but with a faster pace than most such dramas offer which is both a pro and a con, since it's fairly simple and unfolds pretty fast. Nothing too complex or deep here, but it's a fun drama and where it shines is the actors, particularly Wang Xuan who has been pretty well type cast in the vertical drama world in recent years as the "cold CEO" male lead. This drama lets him move outside of that box a bit. He's funny, he reminds of Xu Kai, and not just in looks but in his command of facial expressions. I laughed out loud more than once, and the plot kept me guessing enough on who was the hidden sister that between those elements I binged it in a night. Worth your time IMO.
