Definitely recommendable!!!!

I know it's too early but this drama has got me on hooked real bad I know it's still ongoing but definitely I am gonna recommend this drama to everyone. One of the best dramas I have ever watch in this year, wasn't expecting that much but my views changed after watching it. I actually watched this drama for chen duling and her and zheng shunxi's chemistry is intoxicating but then during episodes 8-9 ju jingyi and tian jia rui got my heart real bad, I still yearn for cdl and zsh but jjy and tjr's insane chemistry got me on hook. I am so amazed by Ju Jingyi's acting at first I didn't liked her voice but slowly I got attracted her acting was insane here you cannot deny it I'll give her for that hope she keeps on improving more in future dramas and same goes with tian jia rui, his role that DOUBLE ROLE the way he changes to sweet innocent jiling to cold hearted longshen/chi wen I am so impressed by his acting too and the person who was Xiaowei he did amazing too I hope to see him in more dramas in future 😍❤️

TZZH + ZHUYU = PERFECTION!

From casting, visuals, cinematography, OST, production, and world-building—even novel adaptation—it truly lives up to its high-caliber reputation. Chef’s kiss!!

This drama trusted itself to show rather than tell—leaning into nuance, detail, and emotional depth in the most beautiful way. Record-breaking heat indexes across three major platforms, and rightfully so. Kudos ZhuYu team!💗

XiaoTan baobei 🥺💖 thank you for giving life to Fan Changyu so beautifully. You didn’t just play her—you became her. Your portrayal was so natural, emotional, & the way you conveyed every feeling—softness, strength, vulnerability—was simply amazing. So galing as always!!

Zhang’ge… what a performance!!

Marquis of Wu’an? Xie Zheng? Yan Zheng? that was u, thank you for bringing him to life with such depth— you embodied his intelligence, restraint, & the way he loves so deeply. Kudos to you!😖

Our “TZZH” couple

“Tiān zuò zhī Hé 田作之赫 — truly a match made in heaven.”

nah but this pairing?? top tier fr, everything was so natural!
the chemistry carried so hard and no one’s over it yet, We’re so lucky you chose this incredible material and brought it to life — beautifully!

Artistic and beautiful cinematography dressing up a just-ok plot

The main thing that stands out about this show, to me, is its sheer artistry. The cinematography is amazing. The director’s use of colors, light and shadow, framing, symbols and motifs, etc creates such a lingering and evocative ambience. Even the posing and slow motion scenes- normally I can’t stand them, but here they were so artistically done that I actually liked them. This show is beautiful to watch.

On top of that, everyone looks so good! Especially the male characters- good or bad, major or minor, this show is overflowing with hot guys. I mean, kudos to everyone’s face of course, but at this scale I have to credit the styling (hair/makeup), lighting, camera angles, even directing to avoid less flattering expressions. The director made everyone look good. So next time you look away from the show and wonder why everyone around you is so ugly, keep in mind that it’s kind of artificial.

As for the plot, I wish it lived up to the great directing. The first 15-16 episodes follows the two leads in a small town. It is sweet and nostalgic, full of warm and fuzzy vibes. This part feels more slice-of-life. I tend to appreciate this sort of thing more after the leads have gone through some crisis, so I thought it was a little slow, but still cute and enjoyable.

After that the series explodes into action, battles and a mess of politics. Some of it is a little draggy (eg manufactured drama between the leads), and then I had a hard time piecing the backstory together from the fragmented clues scattered throughout. Even after the answer is given, the pieces don’t seem to add up. It doesn’t help that the last few episodes feel so rushed, but also I think they just left out some information from the book. In general, I think the backstory is good but not conveyed well, leaving people puzzling over the tangled mess rather than being properly emotionally impacted.

Plus, I kind of soured on the main character. Fan Changyu in the first half is the kind of down-to-earth FL I like. She’s kind and sincere, ready to provide for her new house husband. She’s also really tough and an excellent fighter- not in, like, a realistic way, but still in a fun way. Her impressive skills made her somewhat unrelatable to me (we don’t see her train, she’s just a genius), so I liked her but felt a bit distant.

As the show progresses, though, her super strength and martial ability get overdone to the point where it’s just ridiculous. Perhaps her flaws should make her more relatable, but I found them annoying. Her impulsiveness and emotionalism result in some hot-and-cold treatment towards the ML, which is mostly just frustrating to watch, and her lack of education is endearing until it's not. For example, her sneaking off during an imperial decree is probably supposed to be funny, but I thought it’s really disrespectful. And the way she celebrates her undeserved promotion without worrying about how she’d actually do her job- carefree and confident are good and all, but there’s something to be said about some self-awareness.

Well, I seem to be alone on this, so take it how you will. Either way, I had a harder time rooting for Changyu as the show went on, which made the last 10 episodes a bit of a struggle.

On the other hand, for a ML we get Xie Zheng, one of those perfect dreamboat MLs constructed to fulfill your fantasies. Badass, highly skilled, and commanding, yet gentle, supportive, and totally devoted towards her. He loses his composure a few times in the middle, just enough to make him feel human and convey how much she means to him. I wouldn’t have minded if he had more depth, but overall I liked him.

The romance is well done, mostly thanks to the cinematography which creates a simmering tension between them, the kind that makes your heart skip a beat. There are two other romances in the show that also benefit from the director’s skill- one of them is smoking hot (and highly toxic), the other is cute and sweet. The female characters involved are also highly (and unusually) skilled at one thing or another, and have good relations with Changyu, which is nice to watch.

There are several other likable side characters as well- like the FL’s squad, the ML’s sidekicks, etc- though I felt they didn’t all get the attention they deserved.

On the villain side, the true political villain takes some unravelling and isn’t clear for a long time. In the meantime, there are several intermediate villains, like two crazy brothers that are so obviously psycho you can't look away.

But of all the villains big and small, I ended up feeling sorry for quite a lot of them, even despite some irredeemable actions. I don’t really like feeling this way- kind of sour- but my consolation is that many other audience members seem to feel this way too.

Acting-wise, I thought Tian Xiwei does a good job. I’m really impressed by how physically strong she is. Zhang Linghe seems pretty good too, though maybe I am most impressed by Lin Muran who conveyed the crazy, taunting energy of Sui Yuanqing well. A lot of the supporting actors had great performances.

The fight choreo is pretty good, not too flashy but solid- like the weapons actually have some weight- and, not surprisingly, generally quite artistic. Tian Xiwei looks pretty good with fluid movements into solid hits. I was less impressed by Zhang Linghe’s hand-to-hand, but I thought his horseback fighting (choreo and execution) was quite good, as was his riding.

I really like the costumes, especially the working-class clothing and the armor. The music is the kind of songs that I like now because I have emotional association from hearing them during iconic scenes of the show. There is some CGI that is surprisingly bad, but the rest of production makes up for it.

Overall I think this show is artistic and beautiful. But the plot is not the best, with the politics and backstory told in a confusing way, draggy bits in the second half, Changyu sometimes annoying, villains I also feel deeply sorry for, etc. I still think it’s worth a watch for the excellent cinematography, but don’t expect an equivalent mastery from the plot. Readers of the book might enjoy it more (or not) and I had to benefit from their forum posts to understand some of what’s going on.

ENDING – READ AHEAD ONLY IF YOU WANT TO KNOW, CONTAINS SPOILERS

The last few episodes are quite rushed, and the backstory is not fully revealed until the very last episode where it is unceremoniously narrated. But at least most of the last episode is reserved for wrap-up. It is a happy ending for our leads and most of their friends. Villains get their due and the country returns to stability.

We get a 5-year-out view of the leads to know they are doing fine, which is nice, though I wish we saw more of the side characters. We can assume they are mostly doing well- except maybe Li Huai’an, poor guy- but we don’t see it. I found out from book readers that Yu Qianqian is a transmigrator... what a detail to whittle down to a mere hint in the show.

In the last 10 or so minutes we get an “alternate reality” version where the old tragedy never happened. Then some of the sympathetic villains can be good people, tackling issues alongside our protagonists. I was looking forward to this bit to feel good, but actually the main point seems to be that Qi Min and Yu Qianqian cannot be together even in an alternate life, which I thought is a dumb final message.

i live in a tropical country, yet somehow it feels like i’m experiencing all four seasons

(you probably will find it hard to watch on first episode, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay there and keep watching!!!🥺) you know those dramas that aren’t 100% perfect, but you feel so deeply attached and connected to them even to every single character ????

this drama. it feels like you’re actually friends with them, like you’re there with them, going through everything together.… not everything is perfect, but the character development is incredible. this is a drama where i got annoyed at a character BUT only for a moment then they immediately got a redemption arc, and it was so well done. they’re insanely good at steering the audience’s emotions just like that !!

the cast is just perfect. the casting director did such an amazing job for real. the acting !!! even the grandma and grandpa cast still amaze me the fact they’ve actually been acting together since 40 years ago... also shoutout to the director !! the cinematography, the details ohhh i love how i didn’t skip a SINGLE scene. and 12 episodes felt like the blink of an eye. I NEED MORE !!

lee sungkyung is just sooo perfect for song haran character the way i can't imagine it's anyone else. w waited 2 years for the one who play seonu chan and chae jeonghyeop absolutely nailed it!!! i hope they will play tgt again because the chemistry is insane.

in conclusion, it's the drama of the year for me. in your radiant season, you are so dear to me.

Delulu plot but you get watch ML who looks like a real man!!!! not a skinny gilrl.. !

I watched this in April 2026...
1. The drama is a delulu dream of some spoiled immature chick
the only value of this drama is:
2. to enjoy looking at the ML actor. WOW WHAT A GREAT LOOKING ***MAN***!!!!! shoulders, chest, legs, face... of a MAN... not a skinny teenage girl.... the way that all modern actors look!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED IN JUST A FEW YEARS THAT ALL ACTORS LOOK LIKE SKELETONS??? so U G L Y !!!!

3. to realize how handsome actors and actresses ARE and WERE before it became fashionable to look like a skeleton.
ENOUGH OF STARVING THE ACTORS!!!! LET THEM EAT AND LOOK GOOD!!!! NUFF OF SKELETONS ALREADY!!!! it is **** U G L Y ****

PHS looks sooooo handsome and sooooo manly here and also the actress!!!!! and all actors SHOULD have their normal weight.

wow Park Huyn Shin the ML actor - wow he looks awesome! and FL too!!!!! Just in 2022, nobody was too skinny yet!!!!

This is the best ever I saw PHS!!!! He is so atttactive!!! he is bulky enough and he looks like a MAN. Shoulders, chest, legs, face. HE IS A MAN!!!!!

These days, male actors dont look like a MAN but like a starved stray cat. And they all got dark circles under their eyes from all that starving. They are NOT attractive, there i snothing STRONG and masculine about them. No energy, vibrancy, etc.
The only one is Bon Appetit Your Majesty ML, and also Haunted Palace ML. They are the only ones who really looked like energetic men. in the entire 2024-present. Hm this is incorrect. I can think of some others. But too many!!!!

I WISH WE GO BACK TO OLD TIMES STANDARDS, BC TODAY ACTORS LOOK LIKE SKELETONS and it is not so cool at all

PHS here looks like a MAN
adn the lady loooks like a WOMAN - a real woman, not a piece of plastic sugery...

The lady too, has a little bit crooked nose. These days, plastic surgery is so severe, nobody would let her live free like that!!!!!

ML and FL both got muscles on them and they are lively and energetic

Wow this little drama is good enough to just to look at PHS and admire his looks!!!!!

======= AS FOR THE CONTENT: =======
The drama is soooo cheesy.... one of those delulu chick baits "the flawed chick has a perfect guy doting on her FOREVER waiting for her to say yes and being totally loyal only to her. Not even s.x with anyone else for 20 yrs he waits for her."
WOW CAPOOL lol FL script is annoying and unrealistic :) The actress is doing a good job at it and yes she is pretty but... the character is like a little girl :) UNTIL THE VERY LAST SCENE, when she confesses - wow that is one skilled actress!!!! ...

so PHS is a main draw to watch the drama :( to be honest.... The drama is a clickbait for little girls :) and I think PHS knows it, based on how he is acting and clearly pretending and forcing himself.

It seemed to me that PHS is a little bored with this role. This is too cliche and too simple, and not interesting to him. IT IS CLEAR HE KNOWS IT IS A FAKE PLOT lol and that he is used as the eye candy.... And .... Perhaps his real life is not like this so this "quiet good boy" is too ... simple. He looked more interested in Burried Hearts. Well that was a lot more important drama...

The music is AMAZING!!!! it is all classical piano music similar to
Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune
translates to "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" landmark 1894 symphonic poem by Claude Debussy. It is inspired by Stéphane Mallarmé's poem L'après-midi d'un faune (The Afternoon of a Faun), portraying a faun's sensuous dreams of nymphs

And I am so happy to see the main villain from The Nice Guy!!!! that drama was worth watching just for his performance. Wow that actor has PRESENCE!!!! some real skillZ!!!! even in this little drama, he shines, he is super memorable. Wow great acting skillZ!t acting skillZ!

Once family, always family

I really love the relationship the duo have and the trust they have in one another, just like they said : Once family, always family and family keeps each other safe tills the end. They really did that and it means the whole team, they really keep that ideology through thick and thin. One scene I liked was when they met their teacher/senior when they were broken and helpless, they really let out everything then.

While our two protagonists is like the chinamone they are, our antagonist, Baek Jeong is pure evil, all he cares was money and money. From the start to end, I was wondering how his ends would be and hoped he would get what he caused the others. Guess what, he got it! It was so satisfying although… it was still satisfying.

Another thing I liked about the drama is the fight scenes, they were great and it felt like I was really watching boxing of real boxers.

I will surely rewatch it again because I feel like 7 episodes were too short and I want more.

"The only way to grab a beast is to become a scarier beast"

That I am a Woo Do Hwan fan is not a closely guarded secret, but I will say I came into Bloodhounds Season 2 trepidatiously. The pacing and unevenness of season 1 was shored up, but replaced with a lather, rinse, repeat cycle. It was 7 rounds of good vs evil. Someone ring the bell—ding! ding!

Kim Geon Woo and Hong Woo Jin are living the dream life in the suburbs with Kim’s mom. They train in the mornings and work for the mom afterwards, happy and content. Kim wins the World Title match and even makes friends with his nasty competitor. Now firmly in the spotlight, he draws the wrong kind of attention. An illegal fight and gambling den (on-line on the dark web of course, this is 2026 after all) boss determines that he needs Kim to be his next fight in order to gain financing and expand his lucrative enterprise. Our Kim may have lethal fists, but he is sweet and pure of heart. “Dirty money always comes with a price,” his mom warns. When evil Baek Jeong is involved, everything comes with a price.

The first thing that has to be said, is that Kim and Hong were the sweetest of puppies, and just about as bright. They had tons of unearned confidence from last season and believed they could handle Baek and his syndicate on their own. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they were going to have to put at least part of the band back together if their loved ones were to survive. These gentle souls cried every episode and required daily pep talks and numerous group hugs. That’s not to say there weren’t deaths and injuries. The stakes for Kim’s Scooby gang were high as several members found out.

The bad guys were completely evil, no vacillating there, especially Rain’s Baek Jeong. He was also the most penny pinching, cheap villain I ever remember seeing. A few of the good guys crossed the line making their moral compass spin. There were faces from last season that joined the fight and some new faces with nebulous motivations. There was a never-ending cycle of threat, rally, retaliate, trying to kidnap mom, threat, rally, retaliate, trying to kidnap mom…which began to get old, along with the episodic weeping pep talks.

I haven’t been able to locate the fight coordinator, but I thought the fights were well done. Fast, vicious, uncompromising, and at times a thing of beauty as bodies danced around the ring. If you are squeamish you will need to look away for a few of the more brutal scenes. Having said that, much like superheroes, their powers came and went depending on the scenario.

I enjoyed Bloodhounds S2 more than the first season mainly because it was consistent, where the cast change last time was jarring (RIP KSR). The boys may not have been strategic geniuses, but they were devoted to each other and their oddly made family. They cared more about each other than hitting people, which was saying something. S2 ended with a couple of scenes to leave the door open for S3. It’s Netflix so you never know.

3 April 2026
Trigger warnings: All sorts of horrific deaths and one ear torn off. Knives, and other pointy weapons used.

Soonrok, não me decepcione pfv

Amor deprimente

the ending part were drawings of the villain being dead !!!ALL FAKE , I wonder what’s park seo joon is planning although I didn’t feel him from the start I knew he was up to no good:) maybe he will be the next blood hounds leader lol. The fact they lied to hong min beom wasn’t nice though, he just wanted to put an end to everything so everyone can be happy again without feeling bothered. I’m happy his mom didn’t die but guys what about the head police officer that was leading them thorough:( I’m glad his top class friend didn’t betray their trust tooo😭☺️

Didn’t think I’d cry, I was wrong

I fell in love with this couple. They had so many sweet qualities. This show devastated me in the last 2 episodes. It wasnt just because the ending between these two is so depressing. It’s realistic, it had me mourning my own past breakups. It led you down the path many people take, two good people that just don’t fit. Two people who love each other deeply, sacrifice for each other BUT acknowledging that it’s not a good fit. So unbelievably difficult! The relatable feeling of the one person who could end the sadness is also the person causing the sadness. Soo many tears the last 2 episodes. I loved them both and I’m so happy Yumi had the courage to call it when she knew it didn’t feel right. Inspiring, honestly. The drama was really bumped to the next level with the cells. I thought it was corny at first but it had a huge impact on perspective. You get to see the reasoning for reactions that would usually leave you frustrated saying “why would they do that??!!” Another level of understanding that just tugged at your heart strings.
