Average Thai Rom-Com set in an Indian wedding

This is my first non-horror Thai content I watched as I was intrigued by the Indian wedding setup shown in the trailer. Being an Indian, I wanted to see what are they going to show in the rom-com.

OVERALL REVIEW:-
It's an average nothing special rom-com which fails to hit the mark in both the romance and comedy departments. It does not mean it is unwatchable or cringe and considering the short runtime of 1.5 hrs, I didn't expect much from it in the first place. Comedy seldom lands and chemistry between the leads is just Meh! There is no place where we can breathe and absorb what happened as it is very fast-paced, moving from one comedic scene to another emotional scene within seconds.

LANGUAGE ISSUES:-
There is a hotchpotch of different languages being spoken with not-so-on-point accents which I can understand as people are not speaking their dialogues in their primary language. Nevertheless, both the Indian characters as well as Thai characters look unnatural and uncomfortable when speaking English which breaks the flow and kills the vibe of the movie. I would have preferred the Indian characters to have at least converse in Punjabi or Hindi when they were talking to each other.

THE LEADS:-
Let's not talk about the Indian supporting cast as they were neither the focus nor did they act naturally as a bunch of Punjabis speaking English sounds very cringe to me.
Vachirawit Chivaaree the ML looked very bright and handsome straight out of a K-Pop band and his acting was decent.
Ranee Campen the FL looked so gorgeous and beautiful throughout the movie which I can not deny. But her character was written very clumsily and her acting was very over the top in a few scenes which I didn't like.

PORTRAYAL OF INDIAN CULTURE:-
This is the aspect in which the movie gets full marks in making sure they showed Indian culture appropriately and with respect. All the ceremonies (Mehendi, Sangeet & Phere) which are essential parts of Indian wedding were at least shown correctly and briefly explained.. The song featured in the movie gave good Bollywood vibes with all the background dancers and our couple looked really good doing the dance movies in traditional Indian clothes. Definitely the highlight of the movie for me.

NOTE: I want to clear the misconception for anyone watching this movie and they must know that only a minority of Indians consume alcohol during weddings and in general alcohol is not allowed.

Utter Rubbish

This was bad from the start. Either neither of them can act at all, or the directing is insanely bad. I suspect they were both just depressed having to work on such a bad show, as both actors had no charisma, no chemistry and zero energy.

Puen was a smart disciplined actor and now he's writing scripts and looks like a 15 year old slob in his mums basement, and Talay has been relegated to a tent office in the 100 degree heat of the garden ??
They wonder why their relationship is falling apart. Was this script written by a 13 year old boy who thought tents in the garden and slobbing out in front of a pc was "super cool"?

They try to have some "together" time, which made their relationship look even more broken. Then they are sitting together to watch a romantic movie and start to share a deep meaningful kiss and Puen stops the kiss to throw a bag of crisps over Talays head (!?!?) *palm/face*

At that point I just gave up watching this advertisement driven trash. I feel really sorry for the actors having to work on this show, and hope they get better acting roles on a serious show next time.

Script

Season 2 is no different to season one. The same
runaround by Akira getting panic attacks everytime
Shin showed emotions for him. Shin had the patient of
a saint. I love the two actors because they did a great job. It's not the actors it's the storyline. Over season one I had hopes this Series would show more getting together as a couple with love and commitment but
my hopes have been dashed. I love japanese bls and I love the language. They are a joy to watch that's why I will view it to the end and see if Akira and Shin finally make it as a couple..

I completed the series so I will add an extra comment
Episode 10/11/12 were what I wanted to see for Shin and Akira. It was a really feel good factor ending that they both found there way around Shins loss of memory and realised how much they both loved each other. I am in awe of the two japenese actors Takuya and Sho. So talented so I'm raising my review points..

Movie-length commercial for MSC Cruises

This movie was literally the middle of the road for me. To me, it had more wrong than right, but I'll just give it a 5 and move on.
I really struggled with this movie, as it didn't seem to know what it wanted to be. Was it a comedy? A mystery? A farce? Except for the main characters, everyone else's hair, makeup and clothing were WAY over the top. A lot of the characters just seemed like caricatures of real people - that makes it hard for me to feel like I'm getting to know them and to feel empathy for them. Most of the characters were a little creepy, including the children. Was that so that we couldn't figure out who the "bad guy" was?

I think the biggest question I had while I was watching it, how did the FL get on board the ship without a ticket, how was she able to remain on board once the ship left (the ML knew she didn't have a ticket), where did she get her wardrobe since she didn't have luggage? And I could be mistaken, but when we first meet her, I don't think she even had a purse on her.

All-in-all, for me this movie was too "campy" and difficult to take seriously.

An eye opening drama

Save me portrays how certain religious leaders or groups go to any extent to manipulate and abuse people. To think there are people who are as gullible as Sang-mi's dad and would believe and act on anything a priest says even at the detriment of their loved ones is scary. The dtama really captured hurtful and unimaginable things done in the name of religion.
However, I liked the fact that there was light at the end of the tunnel for Sang-mi. She was able to break free (her will and the 4 boys).

It carries so much depth, meaning & joy!

He is a true embodiment of what it means by "When you shine your light, you allow others to shine theirs too"

I love to see more dramas with such a unique profession. I actually enjoyed the animal knowledge shared here in a fun way. I mean we have enough of police, lawyer or doctor in drama, lol. His profession alone makes it a very interesting watch!

I enjoy watching Aikawa at every moment because his eyes is sparkling with awe, wonder, curiosity, passion and beaming with light. l also love the way this character is portrayed.

Although he is in a way weird, but he still has EQ in the sense that he does know when someone is upset, and the fact he is direct, means he speak up and clear stuff up. He probably has way better communication skills than other "normal" people who just assumed things! Also, he is sensitive and smart and pick up lots of things.

What I love the most is how he inspires and imparts wisdom to people around him without trying hard. He is simply being himself, and letting his light becomes bigger and it ripples!

My favorite part is when he explained why we are made out of miracles, nicely putting a wrap to the show. Plus, I never think of it that way, so he totally shows me a new paradigm there!

Oh, my heart is so full and my soul so nourished after watching him. Plus, he challenges me to think big too! I mean, this dude goes to space (which I totally would love S2 on that, thou unlikely)

The only thing is the FL is hard to watch, esp at 1st few episodes, I almost dropped the show because of her but glad I stayed on. Thanks God she got better towards the end

I love how each cast is given their final "ending", giving them the spotlight and let the show wraps up in very holistic way

This drama carries so much depth, meaning & joy!

The battle of the comebacks

The idea of the "battle of the comebacks" appeals to me because it gives exposure to some groups and soloists who are not very popular and gives them a good comeback platform. Queendom has some of the greatest stage performances - AOA's rendition of Mamamoo's Egotistic is incredible, G-IDLE final stage 'Lion' is wow!

If I based my review on the performances alone, I would rate this show a 9. But, knowing how biased Mnet's survival show voting system is, I can't rate it higher. It's frustrating to see some good performances being robbed of their deserved victory. It's obvious that fanbase size determines the winner. And the misleading editing will always be a bummer. Favoritism in Mnet shows is insufferable.

On a broader note, I recommend watching this if you enjoy music, dance, and performances. Seeing the contestants' level of production in each stage performance is very exciting.

When hero becomes heartbroken becomes blind.. heroine fu_king with his brother.. sleeping with him
Side character becomes too much importance... at first fuck with his sister in law ... then his girlfriend..............
This type of drama really affects society life
I think at first they must mention after a lot of years ... heroine becomes pronstar.. aur slut
Happy ending should be this type of side charecter and slut should be killed
I hope i covered the total summary of the story

Life over rules

Ns' Aoi really thought me that putting a patients life is more important than obeying rules that say otherwise sometimes rules are meant to be broken and sometime they need to be followed but in a situation where life and death is certain and you know what to do, why stand there and let the person suffer if you can help them I do think that there is a time and place for this type of thing even if you just stood there you would still get blamed and vice versa so it's really one of those moments where you are the one that holds life and death in your hands and no one else can say otherwise I really like how the character Nurse Aoi never gives up and tries her best in saving lives or she knows what's happening with the patient Nurses are really underappreciated and I really do think that they deserve more they really put the patients needs first over their needs sometimes which is something I don't see every day if you ever past by a hospital, clinic, nurses office, doctors office, or somewhere are nurse can work I suggest you thank them for everything they have even if you weren't their patient your thank you can really bring something else cause with all the hectic things that happen in their day to day life they really are the life line for hospital hands on care and other things a doctor, medtech, phramacist, or other job other than caring for the patient they can put up with so to all the Nurses out there past, present, or future. Thank you for you unyielding service and care I hope you have a nice day. ᶘ ᵒᴥᵒᶅ

Even though what happened is unfathomable, despite all the tragedy, the deeper focus is on hope

A true story. Not the only one of this kind, unfortunately. This one took place in South Korea in 2008 and was filmed in the KMovie "Hope" in 2013. (In the original: "Wish" - the meaning of "Sowon", the name of the eight-year-old protagonist.)

This film production, which was shown in neighboring Asian cinemas, too, achieved great success largely through word of mouth. The story is shocking and touching, while the film adaptation laid its focus less on exploiting the crime itself, than on sensitively dealing with how it affected the little girl, her family, friends of family and classmates. It's less about the incredibly unscrupulous, brutal act than about the family's struggle to continue to come to terms with the unfathomable and the consequences on a wide variety of levels - psychological, physical, social, financial, legal, media-related and everyday practical.

“Hope” received quite some film awards. Despite all the heartbreaking tragedy, the KMovie deliberately intents to touch people in a positive sense. The KMovie wants to open up an, nevertheless, optimistic perspective towards a life 'after'. This, obviously, is tough and challenging. Surely it takes time and even more patience. Heart-rending in this context, for example, is the wonderfully authentic portrayal of the massively threatened father-daughter relationship. Unexpectedly, though, some light comes into the darkness. Sol Kyung-gu - in the role of a desperate father, whose daughter is in danger of slipping away from him due to her terrible experiences – apparently did not take off his distinctive costume throughout the entire shoot in order to maintain high contact with the emotions and their intensity the whole time. And Lee Re, in her debut on the big screen as an eight-year-old daughter, also touches the heart, as does Uhm Ji-won, who initially apparently didn't have the courage to take on her role of the mother. She is also deeply touching with her convincing acting that gets right under your skin.

Even though, what happened is and remains unfathomable, despite all the tragedy, the KMovie explicitly focuses on hope. This way, throughout those 122 stirring minutes it is not all grim all the time.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SIDE NOTE: --- The Cho Doo-soon case ---
The story refers to a rape case from 2008, when a drunken 57-year-old man brutally raped an eight-year-old girl in a public toilet in Ansan. Being as brutal as he was, the girl suffered permanent damage. However, the man (who before had already been convicted of rape, among other things) got away with only 12 years in prison. He consequently kept up his mantra, that being so drunk that day he couldn´t remember anything. This had already helped him in previous cases. Here too, he was given mitigating circumstances due to his age, the influence of alcohol and his mental state.

The rape in Asan was extremely gruesome. (The details were not in so much details explicit in the KMovie and I also do not want to waste any letter for them here, either.) Suffering from her internal and external injuries, the girl was hospitalized for eight months. She took an artificial anus back home. Medical treatment was followed by psychiatric treatment. A year later she was at least stabilized enough to go back to school. But even several years later in 2020, she apparently can handle harmless cartoons on TV only, avoids any news and tough topics, i.e. she is still extremely fragile and unstable when it comes to the issues involving any violence at all.

The investigation and trial in this case from 2008 didn´t get covered in glory. On the contrary. The public outcry was great and extended, among other things, to a petition to the Blue House for retrial. The case also led to a number of legislative proposals being submitted by the Democrats, which would, for example, suggest to imprison repeat offenders of sexual offenses against minors in special facilities for life, or e.g. concern the legal handling of sexual offenses committed under the influence of alcohol. But in the end they didn't go through, nor did various petitions.

Instead, the electronic ankle bracelet was the method of choice when Cho Doo-soon was released in 2020. The cost of continuous monitoring of Cho Do-soon's electronic ankle bracelet during the first 4 months after release only, was estimated by the Ministry of Justice at over 200 million won (over 140,000 euros). In addition, apparently 71 security cameras were set up specifically to protect Ansan's residents from Cho, who still has his wife and his home there…

By the way, the infamous Cho Doo-soon case was also topic in the K-dramas "Taxi Driver 2", "Voice 4" and "Vigilante".

a heartwarming & addicting watch

Truthfully I rarely finish shows but this one had me hooked ! While the acting and chemistry were a little confusing to me at first it quickly became very beautiful. The leads were phenomenal and by the last episode the chemistry and emotions were off the charts, I cried so much ! I love how realistic it felt too. In many romances I find that when the leads have conflict they can be very tropey or one-dimensional. Sam and Mon however felt very human to me, their personalities and characters were really well developed, and the conflict plot points were well done, even though truthfully they did have a tad too much conflict sometimes. But it was still very realistic and beautiful to me. I really recommend this show to anyone interested!

Adorable and Sweet

**Brief Synopsis**
B (Student): Sang Woo
T (Student): Jae Young

- Beginning: B and T are students at the same school but in different programs. B is extremely cold to everyone and serious about doing the right thing; T is the exact opposite. That is why in a project for a common class they had together, T didn’t do anything because he didn’t think it was important so B decides to remove his name from the project, damaging his prospect of going abroad. They start the show off as sort of enemies because T put B’s caricature all over school because he wants to find him and convince him to talk to the teacher on his behalf. B doesn’t like T because he thinks B is a good for nothing freeloader and T doesn’t like B because he thinks B is reason for he didn’t graduate. Their story starts when B contacts the designer of a design he likes which turns out to be T. Even if he didn’t want to work with him, T is insistent because he wants to get revenge of B.

- Middle: Because of T’s insistence, they start meeting up at often. And the more time they spend together, the more they learn about each other and T finds himself starting to develop an attraction for B even if at that time he still won’t admit it. B’s impression of T starts to change when T starts taking the project more seriously, is genuinely nicer to him and actually saved him once. He also starts to learn that T can be serious and not the freeloader he thought he was.

- End: Finally the attraction got to a point they can’t ignore and B kisses T while he was asleep, not knowing T was actually awake. T confesses to B after that and B takes some time to think about it. The series ends with him finally agreeing to the confession and they start dating. T gives up a position at a big company in order to finish working on the game with B. The ending is similar to the novel ending where T gives up his opportunity abroad so he wait for B to finish school so they can leave together. He even proposes to B, which is a shame we didn’t get to see.

**My Opinion**

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:
- I like how T starts to change because of B, even if he doesn’t notice it.
- I really like the enemies to lovers trope even if the enemy part is no longer obvious after 2 episodes when T starts to act nicer towards B. I just like how T keeps thinking about B and not understanding why he is doing so. I also like how B starts going along with T’s ideas and no longer finds him annoying all the time.
- I like how they use anger to show they have gotten closer. Before, B and T doesn’t even bother to get angry because they don’t care at all about each other. They say hate but it’s said in a rather emotionless way. Now that they start caring about each other (and not realizing it), when they fight, they are both actually angry and bothered about the fight, even if they don’t know why.
- I really like how B changes because of T. He’s no longer emotionless and can smile. He actually starts making an effort to apologize after a fight. He starts wanting T to call him and lets him touch him more than other people. I love how he starts getting affected by T’s touch.
- B is adorable when he tries to show affection, like patting the other on the head as a way to say good job. He’s trying to become more human and it’s such a joy to see.
- I really like T competing with a girl who was also interested in B. It’s really funny how much they can’t stand each other.
- I really like the progression of their relationship, from enemies to friends, to someone they want to be with romantically. Although the pace is really fast, it doesn’t feel rushed. Each step is well depicted and each time they go forward one step, it feels like a victory. The couple is just adorable together, making me want to root for them.
- The acting is really nice. B and T have great chemistry together and they fit together quite well visually. T looks really handsome once he stopped looking like a hooligan. The actors do a great job at portraying their respective characters.
- The stolen kiss scene is adorable.
- There aren’t much angst in this show because they only get together at the end. The only angst is B taking some time to think over things and was ready to refuse T after he had confessed. But at the end, he went to find him and they kiss.
- I really like the ending. It’s adorable and sweet.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT:
- The constant talking to one’s own self thing is just weird and the actors don’t do it well enough to make it seem unnatural. I know it’s necessary because we need to know what the characters are thinking, but doing it as an internal monologue is a lot better.
- I really didn’t like T at the beginning. He just look like a big bully and blaming someone else for not putting his name on something he didn’t do the work for is just stupid. I really hate freeloaders, especially those who don’t respect others like him. He’s childish and will continue to bother you and pester you until he gets his way. But luckily B’s personality is good at dealing with people like him. He is emotionless most of the time and in regards to people he doesn’t like, he really isn’t afraid to tell them off.

**Conclusion**
This is a very sweet and simple rom com type of story. Although it’s not deep, it warms your heart nonetheless.
