Great series

This is a good series I just happened on to it ..
I love Li Lu he is the moving fur e in this series. Full of personality and well acted. The start of it was a bit weird and I m not crazy bout these baby like voices of some of these female roles but getting used to it Hey tough girl give me a tough voice. Lol. Seemingly gits the part better but the demons are very acted and chosen w great people in this one too. Will be interesting to see where it all goes. I like the action and it s very roantic in a good way not dilly like constant fights etc. Between the two .

Notice !!! ~Almost all negative reviews come from viewers who haven’t watch all!

Great chemistry among all the main leads.!
I've decided to leave a comment because I believe the rating is underrated. I think this drama deserves more recognition than it's getting. It's quite a rare phenomenon to see two pairs of protagonists with such fantastic chemistry. There were a few weaker episodes, but which dramas don't have them? The storyline kept me engaged in most episodes, especially the interaction between the main characters was great !. I believe we should take this drama as it is - light, positive, and relaxing after a tough day.

Odd, Odd, And Odder Still - And Yet I Like It

What a strange little oddity this show is.
First off let me say that I haven't seen the original series so I don't know how it compares, but this version has given me plenty to talk about just by itself.
This show mashes the zany, off-the-cuff charm of Thai shows with the more grounded, realistic approach of Korean dramas and what you end up with is an absolute beast of a hybrid the likes of which I've never seen.

The entire thing feels like a very long joke, but one I didn't even remotely mind being the butt of.
The actors are great, they clearly have genuine skill, but the audience only ever gets to see teasing glimpses of this before the characters retreat back behind the quirky, over-the-top plot.
Furthermore, the editing is incredibly choppy and through all 8 episodes I never actually learned to understand any of the characters. Strangely enough, that's exactly what made it so fascinating and fun to watch. I could never predict how any of the characters were going to act next, whether they were going to hit me with some hilariously insane "twist" or whether I was going to get gut-punched by a genuinely emotional scene. Because yes, to my great surprise the show does have some of those and you can never tell when one is around the corner.
The series also never once takes itself seriously and there are enough tongue-in-cheek nudges and genuinely hilarious one-liners to let the audience know that, whatever joke is being played, they're in on it.
What's more - this show feels safe. While watching you know that no matter what nonsense lies around the next corner, nothing bad is going to happen. There are no great twists, no angsty drama, and most importantly no problematic writing decisions to be wary of. It's a roller coaster ride of a show and the audience can rest securely in the knowledge that they are firmly buckled into their seats and the train won't leave its tracks.

If you can get past the at times sub-par audio and if you are willing to let yourself be swept away, down the rabbit hole into mad, wildly entertaining unreality then you will almost certainly have a great time with this drama.
Go into it with no expectations or even just a certain enthusiasm for silliness, and you'll be in for a delightful 4ish hours.

Beautiful, mature, romantic relationship; Amazing plot with great characters

This show is made really well. Every character (even minor ones that are on screen for less time) adds to the overall story. They all bring their A game and makes us love or hate them.

One thing that I love, love about this show is how unpretentious the love story between LD and Zhuohua is. What I mean by this is, in most C-dramas, (not all) the romantic couple acts as if hugging, touching, or kissing is not normal. Even when they are together as a couple, they act all shocked when they "mistakenly" touch each other. Lol this always annoys me and feels pretentious for no reason.

In legend of zhuohua however, LD and Zhuohua interact like normal people who are attracted to each other. Like normal people who are in love and are dating. That carriage scene (when she fell on his lap) was so beautifully done. How zhuohua didn't try to "act" all shy and "modest" She just held unto her man and they kept talking. It was very natural. Their love and interactions is very natural. I hope more C-dramas follow this, and start realizing it's normal for couples that are dating, to touch. And stop with the over the top, fake "modesty".

The ML and FL are very supportive of eachother and communicate well. LD/Prince regeant could easily be overbearing since he's older, wiser, and he's only second to the Emperor. but this doesn't happen. I love how ML supports FL (Even when he knows she's wrong), he's letting her handle things in her own way, not contradicting her in public, or treating her as if she's a child with no sense. He's not being overbearing with the "I know what's best for you" trope/cliche most C-dramas are fond of doing.

lol I love the running joke of the great LD/Prince Regeant (ML) being a kept man out of wedlock.

I only give this a 9 because of the overly done makeup, and the annoying loud azz music over the character speaking at the end of the show.

Strong acting by all

The acting by all was 10/10 but the writing wasn't as good as Semantic Error. There was only one awkward thing to me. That was how intense the romantic feelings were from one of the Jun's from the very start. Given the fact that they've had no interactions for about a decade, it seems a bit odd. Being best friends at, like, 6-8 years old it would make sense to miss each other's company, but not to pine romantically. Just felt there were a couple of emotional steps missing for that one character just for the sake of the plot, but with only eight 30min episodes it's forgivable.

One of the best korean movie I have ever seen. I love Kim Soo Hyun acting skills.
This is the best choice if you want to watch something at the end of the day, but do not want a series with long episodes. The storyline is amazing and I love the end as well, however I love happy ending this is not one of those movies where we got a clean happy ending, but it is alright.
So I would recommend it everyone.

A promising start hindered by execution

This is a series that keeps you questioning its potential right up to the end. It's shot with a modest budget, and across its eight 30-minute episodes, it had ample time to delve into character development and storyline details. However, it ultimately falls short in these aspects.

The series commences with Jung Lee Won discovering that his roommate is writing a web novel where he and his rival, Kim Ji Oh, are depicted as being in a romantic relationship. Lee Won vehemently denies the claims but soon realizes that Ji Oh's feelings are gradually shifting toward genuine affection. Attempting to maintain his distance from Ji Oh proves futile when they are assigned to collaborate on a project. Meanwhile, Woo Sun Woo secretly nurtures feelings for Ko Yoo Kyeom, who happens to be his best friend's boyfriend. Out of loyalty to his friendship, Sun Woo suppresses his budding romance with Yoo Kyeom.

The series begins on a promising note, introducing us to the main characters, Lee Won and Ji Oh, and establishing their intense rivalry. They clash at every turn. Additionally, we are acquainted with the talented yet financially disadvantaged Sun Woo and the affluent Yoo Kyeom. Unfortunately, as the series unfolds, it takes a noticeable dip in quality. Ji Oh's sudden shift from rivalry to affection for Lee Won feels rushed and unconvincing. Conversely, Sun Woo's reluctance to express his feelings for Yoo Kyeom, followed by an abrupt confession and subsequent avoidance, makes his character arc appear inconsistent. The series also suffers from erratic sound recording, with background noise abruptly disappearing during dialogue scenes and noticeable dubbing issues.

The standout elements of this series are undoubtedly the performances by Lee Ye Hwan and Lee Sang Min. They bring their characters to life with enthusiasm and conviction, providing a silver lining in an otherwise uneven production. Lee Jung Min and Park Chang Hoon, while competent, could have offered stronger performances.

In conclusion, this series may be worth considering for a quick watch, particularly for the commendable acting talents of Lee Ye Hwan and Lee Sang Min. It falls short of its potential due to pacing and technical issues but can still provide some entertainment, making it suitable for a lazy weekend binge.

HIStory 4: WAY TO FUCKING CLOSE

Yeah. That about sums it up. I don't even have to write the review because the headline basically wrote it for me. Let me average out the episodes and then explain my thoughts on the show, and then bam, but it's going to take a lot more words. The average was 8.25 stars out of 10, but I rounded it down to 8 stars out of 10, because I could, and the ending was shite. I am also not checking the grammar for this because I am lazy.

Let's unpack, shall we? On Viki, the episodes are smashed into one, and I didn't even know that until two episodes in, but that's beside the point. I said that the tall, skinny guy, Teng Mu Ren, in the streets has a thing for the other guy, Xiao Li Cheng. I was very confused because I didn't read the description, which I never do with shows. I was saying that the stalker ass guy, Fu Yong Jie, in the streets should have gone to jail if he got caught, and I still stand by that opinion with all the shit he pulled in this short ass show. We met the triple threat trio, and I really liked them. They complimented each other well and badly. The vibes were nice, and I was just overall enjoying it. I did have it out for Li Cheng, and I said that I hoped he came around, and he did. because he ended up being one of my favorite characters in this. Love him.

I'm glad Fu Youg Jie got his dumb ass kicked because fuck him and the shit he did too, Mu Ren. Don't ever hurt my baby like that crazy guy. Li Cheng was there to protect his man before he was even his man, and good for Li Cheng for doing that. That girl is Liu Mei Fang, I think. I am looking at the character list because I didn't get emotionally invested enough in this show to know their names, only Li Cheng's. Because I love him. She knew from the start that their relationship was more than friendship. And we stan overprotective Li Cheng. Fu Yong Jie's crush on Ye Xing Si came to light, and it was really fucking obvious to everyone but Ye Xing Si. It was so fucking obvious. Fu Yong Jie played his cards perfectly in most of these scenes. He's probably the smartest in this show. Good for him. Not really, because he was in love with his brother.

We had some foreshadowing for the sexual assault scene. Li Cheng and Mu Ren started to fall for each other around episode 3ish. I could tell. It did take them a while to get their sh*t together, and they barely had it together by the end of this goofy ass show. The trigger warning didn't even mentally prepare me for Fu Yong Jie raping his older brother. I did do some predicting about how he is going to try to kill himself to get his brother to forgive him. Their whole relationship was very much built on manipulation and low-key built on toxicity. Fu Yong Jie was very straightforward and really out there. If he had something to say, he would just say it. Good for him.

The bath tub scene had some really good acting and brought out a lot of sexuality and beauty. The way the camera and the actors presented it was just great. I need a man like Li Cheng in my life, bro. These two were now flat on their faces, in love with each other. Our brothers were just doing their weird ass shit, and my prediction was right.

We were making pretty good progress, which was good for Li Cheng and Mu Ren and more or less for our brothers. We had a lot of character development and more true colors in all of the characters. Fu Yong Jie and Li Cheng were the biggest menace duo, and I lowkey loved their dynamic of just being batshit crazy. These two in the same room were brewing disaster in the making. The actor who plays Li Cheng, Charles Tu, is so fucking handsome that I love him, and it fits his raging narcissistic personality in the show. Love him.

Okay, the other 5 episodes I watched in 16 hours, all back-to-back. Li Cheng came to terms with his feelings and all of the lying to himself. He stopped and told Mu Ren and his ass to shut down, but not straight up; instead, Mu Ren faked being with a girl so Li Cheng would back off. That's ghetto. Getting on my nerves with the shit And then he gets mad at Li Cheng for having a girl friend. Dawg, you are doing the same thing. You can't get mad at someone for doing the same stuff that you were doing. Fu Yong Jie smiling when he was playing fighting with Li Cheng was also very cute. Fu Yong Jie came to terms with the fact that his older brother doesn't like him, and he stepped back and was really mature about it. Good for them, besides the fact that they are brothers, but okay. Fu Yong Jie showed some character development, and good for him because of that.

Mu Ren and Li Cheng were being all cutesy. And Li Cheng is a fake until you fucking make it kind of guy because the way he hid his sadness behind his normal bubbly, happy personality was so good but also really obvious because of the sad look in his eyes. I was making predictions for who would do that to Li Cheng and blackmail him; they are out for his blood for no reason at all. Nothing really happened with our goofy brothers. Ye Xing Si was finally being accepted by his dad, but at the same time, Fu Yong Jie was being hated, as was his mom, for the same reason. Shit was not making any sense at all.

Why the fuck am I writing so much in these reviews? I am getting lazy. The guy who sexually assaulted Mu Ren is everyone's biggest op, and we hate him for ruining Li Cheng like that. I love these two, though. Li Cheng has so much rizz, and Mu Ren is just trying to take it all because he knows about the flirty personality but isn't used to being on the receiving end of it. I don't think we are going too far, but I hope we get more of that weird gay couple. There is nothing weird about them; they are just a weird place, but I really want to see more of them because they are helping Mu Ren and Li Cheng. Yeah our brothers got together in this that's lowkey it with them, i predicted that the brother was going to tell the dad before they all had time to sit down and i was right.

With Li Cheng and Mu Ren. The kisses are also becoming less awkward and more natural, which is good for them. The kiss to go to work, especially Very cute. I am glad they didn't fall apart on the second episode, but instead their world slowly fell apart. I love to see the occupation still going strong near the end of the show. I am glad the dad was supportive. I understand where she is coming from completely, but at the end of the day, they aren't blood related. I guess it's okay. Anyway. They were cute in this episode with all the family members they had. Very fun. I loved these two in this, if only they weren't brothers. Yeah, a lot happened with them, but at the same time, nothing. This show has a lot of sitting around and waiting, so in most episodes nothing really happens.

This ending was very much a blur because I just finished watching it and can't remember what even happened in this episode. They wrapped things up, and then they focused on that gay couple with a 12-year age gap. And all those people that I was probably supposed to recognize but didn't because this is the only history series I have watched They had an okay ending. I feel like it could have been more lovey-dovey and more focused on them and our other couple because it was not focused on them at all. I just expect more from it, that's all. They really put the second in second with all of their bullshit. Yeah. I wanted more for them too, and more for the ending in general. Their little kisses here and there and their random sex scene, which I saw in an edit, were the reason I started the show. I am glad I finally finished it, because it has been a while. Yeah. Good for our couples, I guess. I wish they did more with the ending, but what can you really do? A little copy and paste from my reviews because i am lazy and they captured my feelings really well. That's it. I wouldn't recomend it because of the brothers, but if you are watching for li cheng and mu ren go crazy. that's really it. Okay bye!

What even is this....

Shamelessly copy-pasting their homework from Police University (2021). Nonetheless, the drama had the worst combination of anything and everything which ruined any appeal for it. It would have been a tiny bit better if the drama didn't have any romance. Aside from the first 2 minutes and 42 seconds of the introduction scene of the first episode, this drama was a waste of carbon emissions.

Just from reading the synopsis it turned out to be as rancid as it sounds exactly! This feels it was made for a college group project while trying to be edgy and trendy. The standards keep getting lower nowadays.

Ruined

Too much shouting and weeping that constantly yank you out of the drama. For the first 20 episodes the drama was somewhat fine but after episode 21 it became utterly unwatchable rancid fuming hot garbage. They blew up all of their budget on the first 20 episodes that the rest left them roaming inside the mansion with bullshit plot for the remainder. The story lacked a more concise direction and the transitions in the story were always jarring and ungraceful.

TAKE A STEP, IT AIN'T THAT BAD

There is always that one employee who is bullied in an office, and there is always a strict and indifferent office chief, and there is definitely always a love triangle between people that you know. This series has been a refreshing breeze blown into the BL industry.
Step by step showcased a real life development of a realtionship of working adults, without that Love at first sight effect nor the Magic of television bringing characters together with little effort; it was real, full of endeavors and persuasive. There was that employee getting pushed to the limit of resigning soothed by his self-reflective office chief and they spent time and mercy on one another and on themselves. In time, they found out their hearts had already reserved a place for the other person. That was full-proof and credible. It also brought up the genuine confusion and hesitation of people being in love with someone out of their reach. The absence of crazy mind-bending dramas were actually good in this series because we actually got to see how love hurts, how love lifts, how envy and disappointment projected into actions. Almost everything were close to reality, understandable and well-captured.
However, the series seemed to had taken a turn for worse since the latter-half of ep 9 to the end. Suddenly, the character, the integrity of the series just went off; we had jumbled timeline, we had people making nonsense drama, we had characters going against their nature and made bad decisions, we had plot holes-making time jump and we had problems being solved so easily that it should have been illigal. It became so off-putting and dissuasive when now, I can't figure out what had happened during that time jump, I can't piece together any development of the characters and I was so surprised to see nonsense drama appeared making the core value of the series depreciated.
All things aside, I do love the acting of the actors, almost everybody did their parts wonderfully and they were expressive and persuasive; making the whole journey became enjoyable despite the down turn that I mentioned.
All in all, this series didn't win the prize for me but It definitely did what it could and I would recommend everybody to give it a try, you'll be stunned by the main couple's chemistry.

I would love to watch BL series between thantai and the body guard!

Somehow the intimacy is not much tho in this series. Also, i am interested about tharnthai story as he's actually innocent but it's just that his problem is his dad. Their story is more interested than charn and tinn ? There is 2 episode more before i end this series and the preview for the next episode of tharnthai and bodyguard is superb. I am looking forward to their story more than the main actor of this series tho ? Compared to to sir with love, i prefer to sir with love than this series. And also i would love to look forward with new BL series between jam and film and i hope the episode and the storyline is way better than this.
Overall i loved this series absolutely! But if the main actor intimacy is way better than i think its an improvement than in this seriesn?

On childhood traumas and disappointments, adult loves and betrayals, all wrapped up in a Xianxia - light package . . .

*Warning* Part 1 ends in the middle, abruptly. You may want to wait to watch the whole thing together

After a lifetime of betrayal, how should you pick your romantic partners? What does it mean to live a good life and how much are you willing to sacrifice to secure it?

The pitfalls of picking romantic partners here are realistic and addictive, and show the pros and cons of your typical love interests. Each gets a somewhat equal chance, and there isn't an 'obvious winner' as there is in other harem type scenarios. There are four here:

1) The ambitious childhood friend, 2) The kind, soft man inspired by a fierce woman 3) the ruthless and callous lover born out of years of trauma and fighting 4) the golden child, talented and fun with seemingly no darker pasts or sides

Add to that above standard music, and well done investment in cinematography and special effects, and this all came together well. Whether this rises to one of my favorites really depends on how pt 2 shakes out . . .
