Please Lord save me from this actress

Oh jeez, this was hard to watch: and very disappointing. I was indeed enthusiastic about it, beyond the actress skills. Yeah, I bet to them sometimes, with such a "mega production" you tend to expect a lot. You probably won't like me because I consider Gobblin crappie, in which the second couple and the bromance saved it a bit. But here, only the "bodyguard" twin story was entertaining. Still not enough for a rewatch. Now, from those dramas, a multiverse would be great 👍

A journey which everyone goes thru

This was not a typical Cdrama. it pleasantly surprised me that there can be such cdramas too.

FL was strong, independent woman but was not perfect. she had her own share of insecurities but learnt to deal with it. what i liked is she stood for herself without bowing down too much. she also expressed and communicated her insecurities in a matured way

ML was a typical non committal playboy. Deep down even he was scared and insecured but did not display it. His actions did when he was faced with it. He also overcame it through the journey

the second lead, sister also learnt her lessons thru her journey and realised nothing is forever and take it as it comes.

overall a beautiful story, worth watching as it touches the real aspects of people and life. the star cast was amazing. the chemistry was fabulous and made of each other.

You will read a lot of people complaining but, if you have patience and get into the skin of the characters, you'll enjoy it until the end. It's different from all angles. Enjoy 😉

In our constantly moving world, sometimes we need to slow down

I didn't have high expectations when I began watching, but after finishing, I think i cried almost every episode.

Every episode is a life lesson, not just for the main character, but also for us viewers. The world we live in is so fast paced that we often take a lot of small, but ever so important, things for granted. Despite the drama only being 13 episodes, the director does a excellent job of taking us through the journey of gaining perspective of life through out the show without sacrificing too much pacing or character development.

Take a moment to appreciate life, it sure is a beautiful thing.

Light BL with seducing lead(s)

This drama slays and serves well with alluring actors to play the lead roles. It boosts the fondness of the viewers to continue supporting the show; all thanks to the sexual tension and eye-candy visuals of the cast. The story alone is obviously too bland and feels too rushed with how they emphasize the romance between the characters. They introduced us to Lee Jun and his three suitors which eventually led to the two of them being matched in the end.

I also feel disappointed that the production did not utilize the concept of scents in relation to the main couple’s journey of love. Yes, they implied this in some of the scenes but I feel like it is not enough. Despite the slow progress, I am happy with the two Jun’s chemistry on each other. These two can literally act unlike some of the BL actors out there.

There are some complaints I have with this show but you can tell that Jun & Jun is actually a fun light BL drama with a luscious cast to fill up the gap in the story execution. I fell in love with the manliness of Manager Jun and team leader Hyun Jae. Looking forward to their next project/s in the future and hopefully, another BL-genre!

If ony they put some effort into it...

Nice radiohead intro and nice pink aesthetics but that's where the nice things end. The drama threw at you an enormous mixed emotional package that was never untangled adequately, not even remotely close. The shorter than usual runtime isn't an excuse, 7-8 hours should've been enough to deal with it.

what the heck happened?!?

I love the first half of this drama. The acting is fantastic and the first half of the story was tear-jerking but also awesome.

But I have no idea what happened to the second half, at all. I think if it had ended right at episode 23-24 I would have been ok with the ending, albeit not entirely satisfied. Do yourself a favor and as soon as that surgery is done, Mom is halfway human, and the boy wins the bronze, just turn it off.

The way it ended with a whole slew of completely unnecessary crap side characters and random plot point "problems" that all of a sudden appeared and then disappeared, and then left everyone hanging at the end, that isn't the kind of story that I get from a title like "you are desire/my daydream". I thought it was going to be like road home or lighter and princess, but nope. Not even close.

Not one single character gets closure or actually attains a desire unless you call basically being written off by all your family as the desire.

And poor ruyi. Why is everyone miserable at the end pretending to be happy just because they're graduating?!? I hate everything about the ending.

The Truth About This Show!

There was so much negative that i almost skip this show but i started watching and it was actually really fun all the way through. It was for sure predictable as a veteran k-drama watcher but in general i was never really bored and wanted to see all of it. Like always ignore all the comments and watch for yourself!.

I usually don't write reviews as much but i felt like for this show i had too because these days people set the expectation bar so high and can't really enjoy anything anymore.

A Solid story with joyfull and bad moments. They could've had maybe explained the abyss and the whole alien faction behind it a little bit better but in the end i finished the show with a smile and no regrets.

Not in the king level of a show but enough to land you a smile

I must say that Lee Junho and Im Yoona’s pair are top-notch. They have already shown their romantic tension ever since their Senorita exceptional performance on a music show. That’s why when the drama was announced with them as the main lead, I immediately added this to my watchlist without even knowing what the story was. Lee Junho always made his series worthy of binge-watching effortlessly seducing the viewers to fall with his character’s charisma and vibes.

They never failed, although I must say that the overall impact of the show is literally not that great. It was good enough for a fun time show with its light and romance elements but they failed to be consistent. I found myself fast-forwarding some episodes and I felt only one thing that time -boring. However, the finale episode uplifts and justifies the flop of previous episodes.

I came across a comment that the show lacks plot twists yet I feel like the show doesn’t need a more dramatic kind of appeal but needs more scenes to give to other side characters. I was hoping that the flight attendant lady would be promoted already in the last episode but it didn’t happen. In general, if you’re watching a soft and fun series, this is enough for you. But if you want more dramatic actions, you will entirely feel less about it. Nevertheless, King the Land gives me a Hermes smile with their quality of producing the whole show.

Heartfelt but beautiful story

I truly didn’t expect the story to unfold like it did! I thought it was a normal time travel love story but it had other genres and focus on mental health which I really liked! It kept you on your tip toes! The drama definitely was never boring (From time to time it was a bit confusing haha! But it started to make more and more sense a long the way! I also liked watching it and putting it all together like a puzzle) I personally think it was a really beautiful and heartfelt story!! I haven’t watched the original but I don’t get why so many do comparisons ♡ This drama is obviously going to have its own charm and portrayal of the characters! I don’t think it deserves to get rated badly because you compare it to “Someday or One Day”. I think the actors did one hell of a job delivering and telling this story! And the cinematography was absolutely beautiful as well ♡ I hope people who watched the OG will watch this one with new eyes and an open mind without comparing. What would be fun if it was 100% the same? Anyway that’s just my opinion :)!

7 Lifetimes of interconnected love!!!

Even the drama starring my favourite actors(TTEOM) couldn't make me write a review, but for this one I just had to.
I am exceptionally picky about watching complete dramas but for this one I literally waited for 4:30(airing time in my region).

Among many things, the best thing I liked about this was that there was no unnecessary misunderstanding between ML and FL. Their relationship was transparent and the ML didn't hide anything from the FL in the name of protecting her(I srsly hate it when MLs do that to FLs). The story was connected through all the lifetimes which made me eager to watch more. The love story between the leads was simple and there were tons of funny moments. Sure there were cliché plots(the whole brother thing) but I enjoyed it nevertheless. I have seen tons of comments comparing this one to LBFAD but I haven't watched it so no comments.

Coming to the actors, this was my second Ding Yuxi drama. I had only watched romance of tiger and rose when i entered the Cdrama world and honestly it was just fine. But after after his acting in this one, I started a DYX marathon and watched all his dramas one by one(completed moonlight, romance of twin flower, reset life) and man! i became a fan of his works. His expressions and acting are brilliant and that EYE BROW RAISE that he does is just killer!!! Also I heard that he dubbed his own voice here.. Big PLUS!
Regarding Yang Chaoyue, it was my first time watching her drama so i can't compare how she did in previous dramas or anything. All I can say that she's a budding actress and sure there are places she needs improvement, but overall she did well. She played the character of Cang Hai really well. She does well playing domineering characters (Cang Hai and the princess).
The OSTs were absolutely lovely. I'm currently listening to them while writing this review!! Liu Yuning as usual does not disappoint us. Also the timing of the OSTs and the BGMs being played matched with the vibe of the ongoing scene so well that I had to go back multiple times just to listen to the BGM again and again.

All in all, from acting to plot to OST, for me this a wonderful drama, which is definitely worth watching and then rewatching!
This has successfully made a place in my personal favorite list!!!

Decent Remake

As a fan of the original drama, I would actually say that what made this adaptation lacking was specifically the directing or script. I'd like to compare some points.

For Jeon Yeobeen's character here, its the script/lines that did her character here dirty. She was supposed to have some lines like calling Siheon and Ingyu "kids, brats etc." showing how she talked/acted like a boomer or someone older than them but it wasn't portrayed well here. Her lines here are also somehow repetitive. Her sorrow performance though was well done. Out of the main casts, she did the best.

For Ahn Hyoseop, unfortunately, he wasn't able to embody Li Zi Wei's mischievousness. Li Zi Wei's a very naughty and funny character. He gave different kinds of cheeky expressions/movements which made his character lovable. You could say he owns that role but I wasn't able to see that from Hyoseop. His acting here felt so flat. Don't get me wrong, I love Ahn Hyoseop's previous works but out of all his roles, this one didn't do justice.

As for Kang Hoon, his character here didn't really give emphasis on someone who has hearing disability. It lacked compared to the original. Nothing really special about Kang Hoon's acting here either. I'm sorry.

The cinematography was outstanding, I would say even better than the original but the OSTs didn't give that "WOW" factor. The iconic Wu Bai's Last Dance wasn't given justice. As the intro/opening song "Someday or Oneday". I'm not sure which song in the korean adaptation resembles that and gave off that feeling. As for the styling, they really did Ahn Hyoseop dirty with that ugly hair style. Aside from that, props to the production and editing team, they did a really good job with the vibe of the adaptation. Just my two cents, I felt like it would somehow be better if another actor portrayed Nam Siheon/Koo Yeonjun and the actor that comes to mind is Chae Jonghyeop. If you watch Unlock My Boss, Love All Play, Sisyphus you will understand why I think he fits perfectly.

Just enjoy it

First of all, if this wasn't a remake, ya'll would've enjoyed this so much. It's so sad to see most reviews from Someday or One Day enjoyers, are mostly complaints. Like let's stop comparing every single detail.

'A Time Called You' really reminds me of the original version which I loved so much! but at the same time it brought it's own charm and attraction that made it different. Both Ahn Hyo-seop and Jeon Yeo-been have amazing chemistry with each other, and the cinematography is insane. The ending can be viewed as sad or happy. For me it was the most sensible, perfect end to a drama. It was like the start of something beautiful, and they've left the rest to the audience's imagination. Well executed, well acted, and overall a good drama. Watch it without comparing it to the original & you'll love it.

An adult Drama

After watching about 3 episodes of this Drama, I was getting similar vibes to one of my TW faves, My Queen. The leads have similar attitudes and behaviour, and so the end of this Drama came as no surprise to me. It fitted very well with the way My Queen ended. Learning that My Queen was made the year AFTER this one makes me onder hether it was in part inspired by or modelled on this one.

Another reviewer commentd on the lack of romantic chemistry between the ML & FL, and I would agree. They always seemed more like friends and colleagues, to the point where I think the Drama had not tried to force them together.. That said, the ultimate resolution was satisfying and in character for both of them. I gave it 9 for what it said about the challenges faced by women of that age in a society still as overtly patriarchal as Japan
