innocua commediola con risvolti paranormali

simpatica fresca e innocua romcom senza troppe pretese.

Quirky, Swoonworthy, and Comedic!

This drama was the perfect blend of legal drama, romance, comedy, and likeable characters! Both the ML and FL were a delight to watch, especially hearing their inner monologues. The progression from enemies -> lovers was wonderful of course, especially as more vulnerable aspects of each character was revealed. The FL being strong and willful was a breath of fresh air in the romance genre. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS! XD! There was not a dull moment during this show. I binged the entire show within 1 day!

I tried, I really did…

I wish I could give this show more stars but I just can’t lie to y’all like that. Would not recommend…

I don’t know if it was the writing or directing but the mark was missed every time. The story didn’t suck me in, dialogue was blah, and the MCs chemistry sort of fizzled but never BANG’d. Hottest scene was between Kana and Pao. I even found myself rooting for Plearn & Tin more than Park & Tin. I saw real chemistry there and I think Tin would have feed off of Plearn’s warm intensity!! There were about three storylines but family seemed to be the underlying theme. Tin was abandoned, Bie and Pai’s family don’t approve of them, Kana’s home is disruptive and Pao received too much praise. Pao’s drug overdose came out of no where, like why. Then Pai only earning respect from her parents once they found out she was rich…shocker!

The last two episodes with the heavy scenes just seemed so misplaced. It felt like a lackluster attempt at recreating the LITA special episode. From the moment Park flipped Tin in that bed, we could have cut it. Stiff “riding” accompanies awful kissing paired with poorly portrayed frustration due to “unwanted interruptions” with the phone calls. BRUH TAKE IT!! End this nightmare PLS!! Both bath scenes could have been deleted and the film burned.

All in all, great concept, poor execution.

Sum up for all ML & FL

After watching the whole series, here are some review i would like to make for the couples

Florence and Nathee
- not enough screen-time, wish that there is more scene for both of them

Nanfah and Pladao
- Pladao (Punpun) never appear in the end of the drama which i felt abit rushing in the end. Nanfah (Nannon) this character, in the beginning i feel like slapping him, but it turns out that he turn out to be a good lover so not bad.

August and Pine
- too draggy for last few ep. too much screen-time. like, Pine (Off) who love her, but don't wanna admit and want the best for her. then, August (Pat) also holding back which makes it too draggy (korean drama type)

Hunter and Emmy
- not enough screen-time also, which is a mystery for us

Nannam and Nithan
- i don't like Nithan (Mild)'s acting. feeling that these few years, her acting is not getting any better. or maybe its the character itself. As for Nannam (Nannon again) this character not truly bad. But both cast truly say no chemistry

Hack and Irin
- at the few ep, i just felt the Irin (Lookjun) just insist on getting herself onto Pine (Off). then the end ep, throwing herself to Hack (Krist). but Hack love her so, it makes a good couple afterall.

Phethai and Gale
- Phethai (Lee) and Gale (Mook) are basically old actors from my Dear Loser. Well, the chemistry is still there although they appear the in few front ep, its still a overall good acting as a couple.

*above is just a self thought conclusion for the couple in the whole series*

Sword fights, love, friendship, and a mystery of whom shall claim the throne

First, the cinematography and sword fighting choreography are amazing. The story itself doesn't involved much emotions but it does hit the right beat. It kept me guessing without dragging plot points out.

Secret Romantic Guesthouse’s highlight is its’ tight pacing, consistent writing, great characters, and plenty of lovable tropes! All leads and support characters have equal footing, so you can root for whoever you want to emotionally invest in. Palace politics are not dull; No overdose of ministers discussions!

Although I had bumps on the 2nd half and felt bored for the lukewarmth vibe doesn’t moved me emotionally; Overall, everything is wrapped up neatly at the end. I'd highly recommend it for something that's not too deep but not too superficial either.

Brilliant Yuto Nakajima Carries This Enjoyable One-Man Show

Story:
The concept of survival a la 127 hours, Buried Alive, etc is nothing new but this movie manages to stay fresh with the incorporation of social media element as well as doing away with some cliches. The pace is good too as within the first 5 mins, the protagonist Shunsuke is already down the manhole and so many things happen that it doesn't feel draggy. It is written in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable but full of anticipation at what is going to happen next as Shunsuke tries to get himself out. It's not too gory but there are parts that makes you want to turn your eyes away or wince in your seat. There is a nice twist that you do not see happening even if you read other reviews of this movie and consider yourself somewhat spoiled.

Acting/Cast:
Yuto Nakajima carries the movie as he fills the screen 90% of the time and he absolutely delivers. You can see his transformation from being the victim just trying to get out in time for his wedding, to feeling despair, and even unhinged. It is not an easy task to carry a movie alone while confined to the tiny space that is a manhole but he delivers. The ludicrous twist at the end works mainly because of his solid portrayal. Nao doesnt physically appear in the movie but has a large presence herself as the ex gf willing to help track Shunsuke. She did great for a voice acting appearance.

Overall: 9/10 . Solid acting performance, good storyline and pacing, that twist at the end.

Should have been better

So I started watching this drama after reading the synopsis and I really was intrigued by it. Unfortunately the ML and FL had so little romance moments during the 36 episodes, although the story was about this beautiful love story about two people who were fated to meet and fall in love. Everyone had their happy ending but I was so disappointment in the little romance in this rom-com. There was so much potential and the ML is so handsome but it just seemed that there was no chemistry between him and the FL.

In the face of corruption, how far is too far for the sake of justice?

What an enthralling drama!

Devil Judge was an entertaining drama that dealt with topics revolving around corruption, justice, fairness, law, revenge, politics, greed, and morally gray characters.

Judge Yo Han is a true to the bone anti-hero you want to root for but also can't help but doubt his intentions and methods. Watching this drama, you are bound to skirt the lines between wanting to achieve justice while preserving your morals and wanting to abandon those morals for the sake of justice/seeing all corrupt people burn. I truly found this drama entertaining because it made me really question what I would do if I were in Yo Han's or Ga On's shoes and that made me relate/understand their motivations and actions, despite them being different. Ga On and Yo Han were on different ends of the spectrum, morally speaking, so you get to see both perspectives in the drama. Yo Han is a morally gray character who does whatever he deems appropriate for the overall sake of justice(more like his personal revenge story imo), while Ga On is a character that has a firm belief in what is wrong vs right and acts in a way that does not stray from the law and his beliefs.

The most entertaining part of this drama was watching the Live Court proceedings and wondering just what innovative method Yo Han will inflict as punishment on the criminals. As the drama goes on, I went into the mindset of thinking the show took place in a dystopian society, as that's the only way I could see any of what was going on as believable. The whole concept behind the Live Courts just felt very Black Mirror, and was really fun to watch, but also towards the ending, started to feel a bit too over the top.

My interest was peaked from episode 1 and I couldn't stop watching. While I had frustrations with character decisions, Ga On mainly, I still enjoyed the show for the most part. The main cast also did a great job. We all know JiSung is amazing so nothing more to note there. I was also very satisfied with Cha Gyung Hee's actress, and Chairwoman Sun Ah's actress (although the latter sometimes did have too much of an airy voice (?) Lmao but I believe that was more of a character trait, than an acting issue). Other actors were okay, but only 1 really took away from the experience for me and it was Juk Chang's actor. My displeasure is probably more due to the way the character was written itself but I also just didn't like the actor's acting. It was a minor role that turned into more of a bigger role towards the end of the drama so I likely feel more annoyed about it than I normally would.

There's a little bit of romance in this between Ga On and his police officer best friend, but it is not the focus. I actually thought their relationship was cute and approved it because their story makes sense as they both have supported eo since they were teens. Before watching this drama, I was familiar with it due to having watched multiple clips on Youtube where it was inferred there was a BL story between Yo Han and Ga On. But honestly, after watching the drama, their relationship felt more like bromance/family than anything else. Sad, I know (there were moments where you can sorta feel Yo Han is into Ga On, but they were too little and short for me to really focus on, so I just enjoyed the drama as is and didn't think about the possible BL undertones after a point).

Overall, it's a really fun series. I had a great time watching and getting to know the characters, especially Yo Han. The overall plot was good too just a bit too exaggerated/over the top for my taste.

So so....

This is a good live action series of the well known One Piece manga and animation saga. The sets and the costumes are very well done, it is obvious that this is a very expensive production, but the plot and the characters are not that well done. There are countless flash backs which are a not so successful attempt to show some how the background of the characters who end up though, being extremely two dimensional. Their appearance is there but their motives dialogues, aims etc aren't. The characters seem like a fraction of what they are in the manga and the anime series. Same applies to the plot that it has been adapted to fit in a 8 episode series missing this way a lot of the side characters, plots, dialogues. I found the dialogues quite boring. The plot is a mush up of bits and pieces of the original plot that are not put together that well.
Over all this series looks like an half cooked introduction into the One Piece world. If you have read the manga and watched the anime series you are going to find it incomplete. If you have no idea about what One Piece, is you are not going to get engaged unless you are under 12 years old and you don't mind as long as the whole thing is colorful.

6,5 -7 /10

K-drama's Tenet

Seriously, could this drama be any more overcomplicated? I don't think so.

The timeline is a mess. You can tell they tried to make it so 'twisty' they couldn't even untangle their own mess properly.

I won't get into the timeline's specifics but it just doesn't add up. You keep waiting for a resolution that will tie it all together and just end up with a fantasy plot line that basically did whatever it wanted while tossing all logic to the side.

Jeon Yeo-been is an absolute queen but she was out of her element. Although I personally love her, this role doesn't bring out the best in her. She kills it at serious drama, and she was great in Vincenzo since it's more on the comedic side, but 'cute lovey-dovey' felt out of her range. I was glad we got to see her again, though.

If you have nothing else going on, this show is passable for a lazy afternoon but nothing worth looking back on.

FL acting is bad

I watch this drama because of Yang Yang. WCR ( although is the rumor gf) don't suits this character.

but... when WCR acted in Have a Crush on You (2023) is absolutely better and nice. just that i dont understand why this drama her acting is really really bad.

No doubt that Yang Yang acting is still that standard. just that FL really bring it down.
Even alot people say YCY have bad acting, but i think she do it fine. and she have been improving.

Both couple chemistry is not enough for me to continue to watch.

Sorry Yang Yang, i have to drop this.

Let's Transmigrate again

This is a short format drama which thankfully has been compiled into a single 3 hour 20 minute video if you search for it on Youtube under the name The Magic Pen .

The story was cute, had a little bit of suspense, a little bit of danger, a little bit of love. Overall not bad. The FL is an overworked artist who faints and ends up in a comic world. She doesn't seem to take over the personality/body of an existing person as she has no identity there that she has to pretend to be, so she just presents herself with her own name. The main leads have decent enough chemistry but that doesn't really get explored until a little too close to the end.

The ending kind of fizzled. They did leave enough room that there's a possibility of a second season but we rarely get those on short format dramas. The way it's currently set though does not make this a happy ending. It's not a bad one, but it's not a happy ever after ending either. I won't say more without spoiling.

The costumes were acceptable especially considering the budget restraints.

The wigs though, oh god the wigs. The hair and makeup team was obviously an area that they skimped on and it showed. Often you could see the lace on the wigs and the makeup on any close up was caked on and distracting.

Overall, I'd recommend this as a good timewaster, but I definitely wouldn't rewatch it. Somewhere between a 7 and a 7.5

Full on telenovela levels of cheesy melodrama

Wow! I can't quite yet believe I made it to the end of the full 50 episodes.

Was this show good? Not really. The acting was subpar, the main couple exuded this overwhelmingly awkward energy every time they had to get close to each other, the sets were cheap-looking and the outfits most characters wore were some of the ugliest clothes I think I've ever seen. On top of that, the writing wasn't very good either. The character's personalities and motivations were inconsistent and the melodrama was so over the top and ridiculous, at times I found myself laughing my 🍑 off during scenes that were meant to be tense and serious.

But, the sheer cringiness and messiness were what made this show addictive and entertaining. It was so bad, in the end, it was kind of good LOL

Love All Play Does NOT Play Around (Except With Your Heart)

I was first going to point you in the direction of the synopsis and go on about my feelings instead but the synopsis on here is pretty terrible and I probably wouldn’t have picked it up had it not been for the ML. Which, hey, what a great place to start. The ML in this show is the greenest green flag to ever flag. Or green. Or exist, whatever. You get the idea. He sits at the table with some of my favorite green flag MLs and I don’t give that title lightly. He is literal sunshine and made me smile like an idiot on several occasions. I can’t stress this enough. I just need you to know this before I go on about the synopsis and then my feelings. Okay, cool. Moving on (for now).

Love All Play is about a badminton team. It’s about the different plays on the team and their individual struggles individually and as members of a team, together. Obviously, our focus is on our FL and ML but we get insight into other members of the team occasionally and they are just as special in my heart honestly. Our FL is returning to badminton after leaving the Olympic team in disgrace. There’s a lot of question marks about what happened and why, but the main story is bribery and then she literally disappears off everyone’s radar. Our ML is kind of apathetic about badminton, despite being a great athlete and this being his livelihood. It seems more like a job than a passion, and his heart isn’t really into it. There’s a lot more to it than that, but I can’t really say without spoiling. Both the FL and ML get picked up by a commercial team and the rest is just … kind of magic to watch. She’s scared, holding back (both herself and just so so much else), very much hated by her ex-teammates and others in the profession, and is having a really hard time but she also loves the sport so much she can’t bear to be away anymore. The ML is really great and talented but there’s no spark in what he does and he almost doesn’t seem to care… about anything. Now pair them up together and they really bring out the best in each other. Both leads are really warm and loving in different ways and it was truly a joy to watch their romance unfold.

I will say, the romance isn’t as prominent as other romance kdramas because there is so much focus on other aspects of the show, character growth, and just plot. However, what we do get is so so beautiful. I also need you to know that there are a lot of heavy topics and issues that are addressed and dealt with in the show. It’s not all fun and games, despite it being centered around one. Sometimes it was a lot, especially with how much the FL had to deal with.

Despite all of that (or maybe because of it), I highly recommend this show. It’s criminally underrated. It is about growth, about facing your fears, about loving something (or finding something to love) so much that you can’t not do it, about not just sitting down and doing nothing or letting fear win, but also about knowing when and where to stop. It made me cry and smile like an idiot. It was so well written and had so many different lovable characters that I adored. The cast was phenomenal and I loved them all. One person in particular (outside of our two leads) really really grew to be a favorite despite me hating him initially, and that’s what I love about this show. It’s about pain and dealing with it and growing and doing better. It’s about A LOT OF THINGS aND I LOVED IT OKAY.

Also the ML really really made my heart hurt in the best way. He was so loving and adorable and warm and just … I need you all to watch and experience this love too.

That is all, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

The first ever mistake in it was cho byeong kyu's late entry which gives the audience a feel that they were shooting first season and some actors Yeom Hye Ran, Kim Se Jeong, and Yoo Joon Sang acted their worst and not best like there was some kind of competition going in for them to see who's gonna performe worst.

And the most infuriating thing that made me drop it was Korean actors trying to speak in Chinese with their worst accent ever like they didn't even try to improve.

They should have either hired Chinese actors or the Korean actors should have spoken in Korean without trying to force Chinese language and accent. Even their acting was bad accent aside.
