A Perfect (Almost) Story Well Acted By A Perfect Ground Breaking BL Ship

This BL was fantastic and though it got a slow start it seemingly at first had a lot of similarities to Your Sky. TeeTee was very Teerak. Over The Top in all the good ways.

Meanwhile Qin was very Muenfah the way people saw him. Straight Faced with unapproachable demeanor.

And that is where rhe similarities end because Muenfah already loved Teerak and he was softened just by the name Teerak and in his presence he was all smiles and lovey dovey.

Qin was damaged by a childhood that almost seemed parentless and it hardened him mostly because of the child abuse he faced and that's what took the perfectness out of this series. The abusive nanny or babysitter. I've seen this on other social media from some fans and I have to agree.

These parents, Qin's parents find out their child is being abused and they confront the babysitter and at first she's all apologies but then she turns demon nanny and they just kick her out more or less. No police no reporting her. Essentially allowing a woman like this to work with and abuse other children. That was selfish. Think about people that could know before hiring her that she has a record to prevent another child from what destroyed Qin's childhood.

The story was great and well acted and deserves all the accolades it is getting but that babysitter being let off the hook just didn't sit right me. Child Abuse in any form should not be excused or go unreported. Period

Calm and Incremental

This series was wildly popular and affirmed why Takuya Kimura remained popular for 2 decades. It also increased interest in airline careers in Japan. If you like to sit with repetition (ML sprints to work after oversleeping constantly) and incremental almost glacial progression--plot lines are obvious from the first couple of episodes--this is the series for you! The actors are very good and beautiful. The antagonist represents safety-first, which in the airline industry is essential. So the rest is watching our young hero progress relationally and career-wise. This is a slice of life series in real time-- it fits a Japanese genre that is well-appreciated by many. I think that a Kdrama equivalent in terms of emotion and atmosphere is "Would You Like a Cup of Coffee", which is also a slice of life series with the ML learning about his industry (the coffee business) and building his career at an incremental pace. It is smooth and initially very repetitive with a very good cast. While Good Luck!! loosely follows the hero’s journey arc, its vibrancy comes from its layered depth as we follow the ML maturing and learning to appreciate the structured ecosystem that he inhabits.

Is this written by a 6 year old?

This is just straight-up shit just like the webtoon, a teenager can write a better story than this. The main characters are boring with not much depth in their characters, I don't see the chemistry everyone's been talking about. Hwang In-Yeop definitely carried this formulaic drama.

A lot of people adore Cha Eun Woo, and I understand why. His looks are extraordinary, but he's like a wooden plank on screen. I've seen all his dramas, and his character is always the same. I would rather have an average looking actor who can actually act.

On the other hand, Moon Ga Young did pretty good. Seo-jun and Jukyung have more chemistry, and I was actually rooting for them to get together. I just don't understand why they have to force Jukyung and Su-ho as the endgame when we can clearly see who's the better man. But I get it, Seo-jun deserves someone better.

I was hoping to see Jukyung's character development as this drama is about a teenage girl who was bullied for her looks. So, seeing her confident and secure of herself plays such a vital role in the whole drama. Yet, they didn't do none of that. I don't think they have properly shown how she finally appreciates herself. It's just more focused on who ends up with who, and that's just what makes this drama even worse than it already is.

There's just nothing I hate more than an FL who can't do anything by themselves without their prince charming. She's a weak character, the writing is an absolute mess. No wonder why the webtoon is hated by many.

Not only that, I just don't understand how people get captivated with an emotionless character. I might be biased but Seo-jun takes the cake!

All I really liked about this drama are Jukyung and Seo-jun's chaotic scenes together plus the amazing OST. I wouldn't say this is entirely terrible, but if you're expecting a lot and your standards are high then it might disappoint you. I would recommend this to K-drama beginners since it's light and mediocre.

Good but...

While I liked the simplicity of the story, mainly it was trying to show purity and innocence while coming to terms with their feelings, it was too light and at times naïve. I did like the actors chosen for each role. This didn't have the impact it should when it’s compared with shows like The On1y One.

The dubbing was part of the detraction. Everyone sounded breathless while trying to speak through a handkerchief. The final event felt a bit overdone. Why would officers ask for a full confession before he reached the station? Already arrested, move on. Why would Ye stay with bloody hands until Ke awakens hours after? Why wouldn't his sister bring a change of clothes and have him clean up? Wouldn't it be more traumatic for Ke? Why would Ke's mother bring a photo album to see her son who was just stabbed?

Han and Ming made this more enjoyable as they were more honest about their situationship.

I've said it before, you never know what you're getting out of China, no matter where it's filmed. It works for the period it was captured in but could have been better. This wasn't a bad watch as there were some good moments. Their first kiss was nicely done. Honestly, the last ep threw it off a bit with too many flashbacks. I would have loved to see Ke's mother’s feelings on their relationship.

Overall, watchable.

So realistic Dylan Wang was glammed down to portray a cop

This drama impresses in every aspect - the direction, writing and cinematography create an ambiance of mystery, sometimes bordering on horror, that draws the viewer into the investigation of a father and daughter who took an elevator to the 18th floor of a building and went missing for 18 years.

But what impressed me most was the acting, especially of Dylan Wang, PanYue Ming, Ren Min and the young He Xiao He. Dylan once again proves he can tackle any role with aplomb, able to portray each stage of a policeman's life believably, from an idealistic and bookwormish rookie to a passionate deputy captain police officer bent on solving a 5-year-old case, and finally, a Beijing lecturer. To portray a rookie cop, minimum makeup was used on Dylan. For his deputy officer look, some freckles were applied on his face that made him look darker. For his lecturer look, some wrinkles were added. Yet, in all these looks, his handsomeness still peeped through.

This is my first time watching Pan Yue Ming, Ren Min and the young He Xiao He and they are all good!

The story switches among three timeframes, 1997 when the father and daughter went missing, 2002 when the remains of a person connected to the case were found and 2015 when the case was solved. I think switching between timeframes is brilliant as associated scenes of the case in different timeframes are shown closely together. For example, the different and telling scenes when the same door that is opened in 2002 is opened in 2015. This technique of switching among timeframes requires viewers to focus on the drama to avoid confusion.

If you don't have the ability to focus, I suggest you drop the drama instead of giving it a low score when you get confused.

One unexpected element about this drama is that it is such a tear-jerker. I probably used up a whole box of tissues. This proves how effective the depiction of the story is and how well the characters are able to draw viewers in.

I also love the OST. It reminds me of Hollywood or BBC productions. It provides the appropriate background music to the visual elements.

AMAZING WATCH FROM START TO END!!!

A fresh and powerful historical c-drama after a long time!
Every character has their unique storyline and background. The characters and the storyline are written very tightly and extraordinarily. I loved the FL. More than the Marquis of Wu'an, Fan Changyu stole the spotlight in this drama. Her character was very different from the usual female leads we have in historical dramas.

Her journey of looking after her little sister, them being orphans, living in a small town where she saved Marquis of Wu'an and later making him her contractual husband (his identity unknown to her) and then slowly entering the war, putting her martial arts to full use. Going from Marchioness to the first female general of the army. It was truly inspiring and commendable. loved watching her on the screen. There was perfect mix of valor, comedy, kindness, loyalty and romance.

ML was no less powerful. Ofc he is handsome. But how he always stayed alongside FL, being her silent strength and letting her shine. They both grew together and made a striking, undefeatable duo. His entry scene, when back to the capital (after returning from Ji'an town) was just WOW. His presence and aura commands victory and dominance, loved the fight scenes and him pursuing FL.

Their journey of love was not simple. It was a walk through a bumpy road. There were lies, misunderstandings, differences in status, and expectations. They stayed strong, confident, always caring for each other. Second FL and ML also had a crazy plot. Though I disliked second ML, their relationship did make me cry and complain.

And how can I forget our Military Advisor and Crown Princess' couple! They were honestly my favorite couple, they added the lightness and sweetness to the drama. Never felt a single episode boring, the story was always moving.

The drama showed strong female characters, and I loved all of them. It was something different from the usual narrative we usually follow where FLs are vulnerable, weak, pretty and just for the romance arc. Also, the kids excelled in their roles. It would have been incomplete without them. They added the heartwarming moments, the family love and the truth in the drama. Changning and Bao'er nailed it! (Our future emperor and empress <3)

The drama is mostly a war and political drama. What schemes unfold in the court, the fight for power, the previous foul plays, unjustified deaths and betrayals, manipulation by ministers, puppet emperor and every other aspect that just deepens the essence of the drama.

Overall, it was great watching this drama. Now even 40 episodes feel short, totally worth the time. The acting, OSTs, setting, storyline, dialogues and screenplay, everything on point; a really well-curated and put together drama. A thought-provoking and truly heart touching show, definitely a must watch! watch it for the snow and the kids and the tears.

completely wasted second leads

I enjoyed watching this, with some fast forwarding through some irritating parts.

Liked:
Main leads: An optimist and a pessimist fall in love. Of course, he's the pessimist. I found the FL to be a bit "too much" at the beginning, but then she began to grow on me. She was a ray of sunshine, and I really enjoyed watching his walls come down. There was some very effective comedy from both of them, especially the FL. When they were in the novel and he could read her mind, that cracked me up.
Storyline: I've seen this storyline before, but I liked the clearer delineation in this one between the real world and the novel. I also liked his family difference in the novel. Happy ending. The end was disappointing, after they both told their friends they wanted to get married, we got no proposal and no wedding.

Mid:
The main couple's romance. Some very bad kisses, some good kisses. I liked them as a couple, they really complemented each other. I know that Chinese censorship is a thing, but I got the impression throughout that they were never intimate (someone kept interrupting them), yet suddenly they are both in pajamas and deciding what color sheets to sleep on. It felt like a chunk is missing.
Storyline: it got very convoluted about 3/4 of the way through it, and seemed to be all over the place, with the rules suddenly changing for how to get in and out of the novel. I was irritated by this. Pick a rule and stick with it!

Disliked:
The 2nd couple (the idol/actors). This couple was a complete waste of time. I never bought them as a couple; she seemed so much older than him. It was especially irritating how much screen time they got, considering they never got together in the end.
Acting. The idol/actor was seriously a terrible actor! And what's funny is, he was supposed to look like a terrible actor in some scenes, but he was terrible throughout.
Storyline: The idol's scheming dance teacher that was trying to get him to like her again - suddenly she seemed to just fall out of the story. About midway through it got a lot darker. I thought too much time was spent on the psycho guy. And hello, you know that he's following you around, you're putting on an act to draw him out, but you don't tell the police?!?!

Random questions I had while watching this drama:
1) Do all Chinese people stand really close to people they are gossiping about so they can hear the gossiping?
2) Why does there always seem to be an irritating woman that never gives up on the ML, and feels that he will drop the FL for her? And she'll use whatever means at her disposal to make that happen?
3) Do office workers actually dress like that in short shorts and shirts?
4) Do the people in offices actually do any work, or just spend their days gossiping?
5) Why is the best friend always telling the FL how to get the ML in bed (usually loud enough for others to hear), when she hasn't even decided if she actually likes him yet.

The best CDrama I've watched

I honestly don’t know why I dropped Flight to You a few years ago. Maybe I was still new to CDramas, maybe I was hung over from the last drama I watched, but with the recent drought of strong stories and tight plots, I decided to give it another chance.

And my goodness.

Seven Tan never just acts for the fun of it. Her emotional delivery is so honest and beautifully layered. Wang Kai, too, completely won me over. After watching the first part of Like a Flowing River, I became curious about him, but Flight to You made me understand the hype.

It has been days since I finished this drama, and I still keep replaying scenes in my head. That rarely happens.

This is how dramas should be written. Tight plot. Strong character development. Excellent pacing. The aviation world felt alive, and the lives of Gu Nanting and Cheng Xiao were handled with so much care.

And the romance? My gosh. That one kiss was enough to melt any heart, but the build-up to it? Superb. Patient. Earned. Emotionally satisfying.

The writer did a beautiful job, and the actors were the perfect icing on the cake.

I rate this 100/10.

I really love it regardless of everything

If you have ever met any distant personality person in your life, you will get Xu Zhi. That's all I can say.

When I watched it, it was airing and there wasn't that much review online, So I gave it a try and I don't regret it.
l had these kind of distant reserved friend who were so emotionally private. I can tell that they are not what they seem like. So many people said that Xu Zhi is rude and too distant. But she was very much secure in herself and held her ground and I admire that so much. In terms of romance, not every love has to feel intimate. Yes it said "passionately" but passion doesn't lie on kiss and intimate moments. Passion can be felt by actions and efforts which Xu Zhi and Chen Luzhou both gave. 8 just don't get the hate. I will love it always and those who are contemplating, give it a try, you may like it.

A lot of clichés, a lot of forced drama and not really the vibe of the early 2000...

I could not get into this series from the start... I did not feel the connection with the characters and for me it was just a standard BL with a cliché story. I expected it to be much more difficult for any gay couple to get together in the early 2000, it felt too easy and ordinary.

Of course we needed also drama in the finale with an attempted murder which made no sense for me. Was it done just to make them come together sooner and stir an emotional reaction in the viewers? Was it really necessary? Could it not have done any other way? I don't like such extremes in any series.

So for me, it was on ok show, but nothing which could spark any enthusiasm in me. For a chinese production it felt disappointing for me, at least when I compare it to recent productions which are all way way more interesting. If you want to watch it, you can, but if you don't it's nothing you would miss.

China Continues To Dominate Historical BL, a Masterpiece With Romance, Betrayal, & Reincarnation

When it comes to BL + historical drama, once again China proves that no other country does it better. Our first historical BL drama premiere of 2026 absolutely did not disappoint. From the very first scene, the dark snowy night, breathtaking costumes, stunning cinematography, brutal martial arts fights, and emotional atmosphere, this drama pulls you in instantly and never lets go.

The opening episodes are heartbreaking. Watching princes destroy their own flesh and blood for the throne is cruel, tragic, and emotionally intense. Every political move feels dangerous, every conversation hides betrayal, and the palace tension keeps getting better with every episode.

But the real heart of this drama is Fifth Prince Yin Qi and Pei Yanzhi. Childhood best friends turned enemies turned lovers is already one of the best tropes ever, but this drama takes it to another level. The pain between them feels so real. What hurts the most is that they only realize how deeply they love each other when death is already standing in front of them. By the time they finally understand their feelings… it’s already too late.

And then fate gives them a second chance.

Imagine waking up three years in the past, discovering your mother is still alive, and realizing you still have one chance to save the person you love most. Sometimes you never truly understand how much someone means to you until they’re gone, whether it’s your mother, your soulmate, or the life you failed to protect. Heaven literally places fate back into Yin Qi’s hands and asks him: what will you change this time?

The reincarnation storyline is SO GOOD. It adds regret, longing, pain, and desperation to every single scene. Watching Prince Yin Qi try to rewrite destiny while uncovering hidden truths connected to Pei Yanzhi completely destroyed me emotionally. Their chemistry is incredible, every glance, every argument, every quiet emotional moment feels meaningful.

This drama truly has everything:
- One of the best NC scenes (watch end of ep 5)
- Stunning cinematography
-Beautiful OST/music
-Emotional storytelling
-Incredible martial arts scenes
-Palace politics and betrayal
-Reincarnation and second chance romance
-Childhood best friends to enemies to lovers
-Tragic love mixed with hope
-One of the best BL chemistries in historical drama

The visuals are gorgeous, the acting is powerful, and the romance hurts in the best possible way. This is not just another BL drama, it’s a full emotional experience.

They didn’t hold back with the kissing and intimate scenes, and the chemistry felt natural, passionate, and intense. I was not expecting that scene at the end of Episode 5 at all; it felt very erotic and emotional, especially for a historical drama from China. You could even hear the moaning, and everything was shot in such an intimate and beautiful way.

I also love the second couple, the crazy and evil Crown Prince and his servant. Their intimate scenes are wild and add a chaotic, exotic energy to the series

If you love historical BL with angst, reincarnation, political intrigue, forbidden love, and soulmates fighting against fate itself, this is a MUST WATCH.
