Not feeling it!
I just knew I wasn't going to like it, especially since the leads had zero chemistry. If there had been even a spark of a connection, I might have stuck with it, but without that, there was no reason to stay!
I am very quick to drop a drama, or anything, really. I don’t believe in forcing myself to sit through something; if it’s truly good, I shouldn't have to. Usually, if I don’t find the plot interesting (or if there’s no plot at all, which unfortunately happens a lot in C-dramas), I can only force myself to stay if the leads’ chemistry is really good. Otherwise, it's buh-bye! 👋🏻✌🏻

Part 1 was better!
I definitely think Part 2 was weaker than Part 1, but it was still great and very watchable.By that point, I was so attached to the characters that I needed to see how the overall story would wrap up, that’s really what kept me hooked until the very end! But honestly ? Part 2 is the clear winner for a rewatch. It’s way faster than the first part, which felt a bit too slow for my taste. I’d much rather jump straight into the action of the second half! ☺️

The Best Thing… to Fall Asleep To
Personally, I found this drama pretty boring. It lacks substance and doesn’t really have anything meaningful to say.The interactions aren’t particularly engaging, which makes the whole thing feel quite monotonous. I was honestly bored most of the time, and the main couple didn’t do much for me either. On top of that, the pacing is way too slow.
I don’t know, but it genuinely felt like they were eating all the time. And about the ML everyone calls him a “green flag,” but I didn’t really see it that way. He came across as quite calculated and overly meticulous at times, especially when he’d pretend to be drunk just to get closer to her or make her approach him.
The ironic part is that the fl is trying to cure her insomnia, while the drama itself basically worked as a sleeping pill for me.

A neutral BL story, heartwarming, a Bit funny, nice cast.
The story is rather neutral. It's about a boy who is initially unsure of his feelings and afraid of coming out. But the good thing was, there was no love triangle. I think it's cute that the sister herself is into girls and has a girlfriend. Many scenes gave me butterflies. It's a shame it was so short. I had to laugh when the mother came and they lied about their relationship (at the end).I recommend it!! Sooo sweet

A good watch
I don't want to say much, as there are many reviews already. I wanted to also give it a 10/10 to increase the rating. I think it was one of the best period/historical cdrama I ever watched, if not the best. Second best would be The Prisoner of beauty, the Double (although not so much romance there) and Love in the Clouds (although this is fantasy).Enjoy the watch!

Loved it!
I loved this! I remember being absolutely obsessed with it while it was airing. The chemistry was electric, the story was gripping, and the production value was top-tier. Honestly, that’s all we ever ask for! While the story took a little time to get to the interesting parts, once it finally got there, wow, it was so good. 💕‼️Was this review helpful to you?
It just gave me nothing, it was bland!
This one was really "meh." I don’t want to call it bad since I didn't finish it, but the few episodes I did watch were so boring. It’s one of those shows where if you don’t feel the chemistry between the leads, everything falls apart because there’s no real story. While the leads were attractive, their interactions felt more cringe than romantic. There were also way too many repetitive scenes, I felt like I was constantly watching them just eat or text each other. Ugh! Was this review helpful to you?
Bad timing!
This one is a "me problem" again! The story was actually interesting, even though the female lead was getting on my last nerve. I enjoyed it while I was watching, but I missed a couple of episodes during the original airing and just never went back. I honestly don't think I ever will. Once the momentum is gone, it’s gone! 😶Was this review helpful to you?
Couldn’t find a reason to keep going!
I have a real knack for knowing when I won't enjoy something, and my "flair" was definitely going off on this one! The production felt cheap and the storyline was just mediocre. Honestly, I realized I was only forcing myself to watch this mess because I like Dilraba. The chemistry was also non-existent; the leads felt more like siblings than lovers. She actually had way more chemistry with the second male lead! I'm glad I finally stopped forcing it. 😬Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting, But Something’s Off
I’ve watched all six released episodes so far, but it still feels like the drama is missing something. The cast is excellent, and the storyline is interesting, yet it hasn’t fully captured my attention. I had higher expectations for this drama. Still, I plan to watch it until the end to support the actors. Was this review helpful to you?

I’ve watched a lot of dramas, but this one seriously tests your patience. **My Boss** tries way too hard to look cute and wholesome, and ends up becoming unrealistic and frustrating.
Let’s talk about the male lead. He’s written like some “perfect green flag” — soft, caring, calm — but suddenly flips into an overreactive, irrational person when the plot demands it. A lawyer who should be logical and composed decides to escalate things to the police over a personal situation, fully knowing it could destroy someone’s career? That’s not intensity, that’s poor writing.
The biggest issue is inconsistency. Characters don’t behave like real people — they behave like puppets. One moment they’re mature, the next moment they’re making decisions that make zero sense, just to create drama. It feels forced, artificial, and honestly a bit insulting to the viewer’s intelligence.
The love triangle and jealousy angle? Overused. The misunderstandings? Dragged out. Emotional scenes feel less impactful because they’re built on weak logic.
This isn’t a case of a flawed character — this is flawed writing. Instead of building depth, the show relies on exaggeration and unrealistic reactions to keep things “interesting,” but it backfires.
**Final Verdict:**
Good concept, wasted by inconsistent writing and forced drama. If you like over-the-top emotional chaos, maybe it works. But if you expect smart characters and believable decisions, this will just frustrate you.
**Rating: 5/10**

Sweet & Dripping with Innocence ...
This is a series you can watch from start to finish and truly enjoy without any major issue. It involves a recently married couple without any basics of married life, whether it be in the bedroom or any other part of the house. It really is an adorable story with the perfect two actors portraying these protagonists. If you're familiar with the work of Kyoya Honda, he once again gives a great performance showing love, shyness and hesitation toward his new wife, perfectly paired with Kyoko Yoshine.Even though it is quite slow to evolve, their relationship builds a strong chemistry by showing such a lack of it early on. It is written brilliantly to give a step by step of their marriage, each walking on egg shells, trying to figure out what to do.
I guess the only part of the story that looms large, is this draama takes place in Japan during pre World War II. You don't need to be a history buff to know what was going on in the mid and late 1930's in that part of the world. However, even with that dark background tone, especially with the main character being a lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Navy, somehow the story still shines with innocence. You can't allow yourself to get pulled to deep in that part of the story or it will take away from the brilliance of the rest of the drama.
Overall, a great "good feel" series that shows the sweetness and lovable actions of a young married couple.

Not in the mood and probably never will be!
I ended up dropping this show, not because it was bad, but because I just wasn’t in the right headspace for it. Eventually, I stopped caring about the plot entirely. I told myself I’d go back to it one day, but if I’m being honest, I probably won’t. That said, the show itself is actually great! The acting was solid (Dilraba has really improved), the storylines were intriguing, and the production value was decent. It just wasn't the right time for me. Onto the next one! 😩‼️Was this review helpful to you?
