Meh
The chemistry between actors and the music are the only good point about this show. The story, though it started well at the beginning just lost itself until the end, it's just too long whithout anything to say and the show could have ended after around 8-10 episodes...
Character like Chi Cheng are despicable, the guy litterally r*pe all of his best friend boyfriends, and both of them consider it as just a game. I mean the first episode litterally contain a gang r*pe for a professional mistake and later this guy even threaten to do it to someone if Wei didn't give what he want "because i can't afford to force him". How romantic this is, a rapist that don't want to force someone for once in his life, so everything fine I guess.
Is the show going to make a message about abuses? No. Never. No instead look, it's soooooo romantic...
It's just a overated pile of garbage, just skip, there is better show out there worth of your time.

I Cried, But Probably Not For What I Imagine.
I can't say that I went into this show blind, I had seen tidbits of it elsewhere at different times, and that had piqued my interest for a long time until I finally decided to watch it. Considering I was already privy to the story, and considering how I already knew that Somi was Hae-sook, the show still kept me plenty suspended. I got to give that to the writers, before this the show I had seen was Behind Your Touch, and now seeing two shows made by the same director and same writer, I can see the writer's quirks well. The writer is really good at building atmospheric comedy—where every factor needed is working together to create a well crafted comedy scene. Although it doesn’t have rolling on the floor laughing, it's generously funny enough. Apart from that I really like that the writer(s) are good at sustaining the suspense, like I said even though I already knew the major spoilers of the story the writing was solid enough to keep me hooked. I noticed that in Behind Your Touch as well, the writer(s) set up the anagnorisis of the protagonists—usually—right at the end of the episode and reverse that in the subsequent one. Which keeps the suspense alive, but gets a bit repetitive. My major criticism of this show would be about how they handled episode eleven. I understand that the climax had to be put somewhere and that had to be done within a 12 episode structure. I also understand that for the writer that must have been tough and having to restrain yourself so as to fit the story into only 12 episodes is a hard task, especially if you have established a world. With that said, episode eleven was handled like a hot mess. Somi really needed her emotional liberation from that guilt and shame of losing her son, by extension Hae-sook needed that more, yet, the characters were betrayed from rushed writing and from that the viewers were too. Somi disappeared too abruptly, we needed dialogues there, big laughs and tears of joy, but poof Somi vanished without any of that. If Somi was established as Hae-sook’s guilt of losing her son, then Somi had to be the one to get that catharsis by meeting her son. However that tearful reunion ended before it even properly began. Somi’s catharsis would have been Hae-sook’s catharsis, and that relief of suppressed emotions should have been what brought them peace. Yet, that entire sequence was written in such a way that everything was there on the scene at the same time. If I had to write that scene I would have let Somi have her moment, her rightful moment that she was denied.
We, the audience, were also denied our catharsis about Eun-ho’s death. We need at least one scene where we saw that corrupt keseki of a cop get his punishment. Of course Somi was denied that too.
There were also something that I quite didn't get, maybe I might have missed it while watching. I had a question as to why Hae-sook didn't realize that Somi looked exactly like her yonger self, especially since she is her younger self. I know that if a thought was ever proposed in Hae-sook's head, she wouldn't have cofused Somi for being Young-e, but this remains a question still.
Also, I think rather than Nak-joon saving somi because of some instinctual reaction, him saving her delibrately because he mistook her for being Hae-sook would have been a better choice. That would have also added to his intial confusion in the first episode, because his thought process could have been much more robust than what it was. Particularly since we find out that he always knew what and who Somi looked like.
Apart from that, I enjoyed all the other little vignettes. I really enjoyed the last episode, but I am unsure —or better put still unaware as to why. I cried by the end, when they met again in their new lives, but I suspect it was less about how good the show was and more because of my innate desire for a partner… as a Mo-tae-sol-lo myself, the desire for a partner and the fomo of their absence in my life must have accumulated into those moments and must have made its way into my eyes. Hehe ( ̄ω ̄).
It was a good show, and my criticisms are few. The acting was great, and the premise was interesting. I can see that this writer is good at coming up with quirky stories.
( ´ ꒳ ` ) Ciao.

Really Good watch
I honestly really liked this, there was a fairshare of misunderstandings but it tackled it all really well. Plus I loved Ep9 that one episode turned this into a 9/10 and then then ending made it a 10/10. I went in with zero expecations but I binged the whole thing in a day. The music is top tier, the actors did such a goo job, and the story is simple in a sense but it has fair share of complexties that extend beyound your typical rom com I really liked it for that. Was this review helpful to you?

Supporting Female Lead was too powerful in this drama
I watched this because of Li Ya Ya and personally i quite have 50:50 opinion about Min Jie acting, so i tried to watch it because of Li Ya Ya. It was decent drama to watch. The plot was quite interesting, FL dreams of her own ending, makes different choices, and has a storyline involving conflict with the chosen one (SFL) and the forces of fate. ML loves the FL very much and is very perceptive of the SFL's manipulative behavior, drawing a line as clear as the Milky Way. This kind of plot is just so satisfying. But no matter how the ML and FL choose to distance themselves, SFL always appears around them, saying ambiguous things, and everyone still believes her.
ML accidentally sees SFL changing clothes and almost vomits. FL's health slowly deteriorates because of the SFL's luck. The ML can't get an erection because of the SFL's luck. The funniest part is that the ML treats the SFL like a "love potion," and the FL treats SFL like a talisman.
ML learns SFL is the world's ultimate main character and wants to kill FL and perish together. His past life's ML appears and tells him that he and FL have died over ten times, and killing the SFL will only lead to endless reincarnation. I quite like the plot twist in this drama since it was make sense and acceptable.
The main couple is somewhat sweet but their intimate scene was obviously cut, SFL is just too much of a troublemaker and she got more screentime more than the leads, she was too powerful and her luck was quite big in short drama.
This show's appeal lies in its deep affection; lovers overcome countless obstacles to be together.
Decent watch, if you want to see light romance.

A work of art.
A drama like this is rare to find. The characters are genuinely well written, truly. The pacing is perfect, everything makes sense, and the ending is wonderful.
If you like strong women (not in a caricatured way, but as they really are in real life), female friendships, healthy relationships, a good historical drama, and a coherent story, this is for you.

Set in the year 2029, the story follows Liang Si Mu (SM), a brilliant university professor. Haunted by the tragic and mysterious death of his sister, Liang Si Yuan, he uses an experimental code he developed to travel back in time. His goal is to return to the specific day his sister died to uncover the truth and prevent the tragedy. Alongside his best friend Yue Ling, SM navigates a dangerous web of secrets, detective-style investigations, and the technical limitations of his incomplete time-travel code.
As he digs deeper, he encounters terrifying and delusional figures from his sister's past—including a chilling "crazy boyfriend" character—while struggling with the inconsistencies and consequences of altering the timeline.
So, will SM in the end successfully uncovered the truth behind his sister death...?
Overall for short dramas this is a good one… You got the thriller, the good story & the good acting… But unfortunately in the end this still a little bit forgettable

Polished & Pleasant, but too careful and safe
With an interesting dual-world premise, Love Between Lines quickly grabs attention. The drama is consistent with a good production, overall. The atmosphere is soft and inviting, and is easy to settle into.Where it falters is emotional weight. The romance is gentle and agreeable, but rarely compelling. Emotional beats are suggested rather than explored, and conflicts resolve before they can truly settle in. For a story that centered on intimacy and connection; the chemistry remains strangely restricted. The writing is okay, playing it's characters' safe through the themes of vulnerability and self protection.
Talking about the performances, the FL showed an array of emotions and her act was the best from the lot. The ML, though charming, had constraints in his expression, that at times felt awkward. The supporting characters were just there tbh, without contributing much to the story.
The pacing was inconsistent - almost 70% of the drama centered on the characters, with nothing more developmental otherwise. Towards the very end, the story progresses too quickly, making the mystery behind the ML's father's death an unconvincing arc.
Overall, Love Between Lines is very much watchable and delightful drama that smartfully tells the story in 2 different settings. However, lack of emotional weight and an inconsistent pacing, takes a lot of fun from the drama. Nonetheless, a praiseworthy and recommendable drama.
MY RATING : 3.5/5

A terrible waste of good material
This series had such great potential. It had a strong start, intriguing context (politics), underdog main characters (both the Dr and Vee), great character design and build-up (I grew to really adore Vee, couldn't say the same about the Dr cos his character development felt somewhat stunted, other side characters like Gale and Vee's father were also very interesting), enemy-to-lovers dynamic, decent world building (somewhat realistic portrayal of politics), witty and well-written dialogue, well crafted bgm.I had great hopes jumping into the series and it was a good watch until episode 6 where things started to fall apart. The Dr's character design started to fall apart and it felt like the plot was getting nowhere (the 2 MLs trying to fight against the system and constantly facing setback after setback, trying to rescue the situation and just digging further into the ditch). I don't know if it was intentional to make viewers feel this complete sense of hopelessness and if that was the goal, the writers certainly achieved that cos the minute the Dr decided to make his nephew a scapegoat, I completely lost all interest in any further plot development. Up until the end, I was still hoping that the Dr would turn things around and correct what was wrong or exact some sort of payback and yet all we got was him still struggling like a bug under the thumb of his party leaders. Sigh....
That said, I did enjoy the acting, the musicality, dialogue and cinematography for certain scenes e.g. the scene where the Dr rescued Vee from a stampede, and the Dr's debate speech in the dark. I simply wish there was a more uplifting conclusion to the series, an ending that didn't reflect reality too accurately.

High quality acting & screenplay
The way it was written, the lines and the flow of the story is high quality. But because there is too much going on I have to stop watching it sometimes. It eas overwhelminh for me but I had a lot of emotions watching it, crying, laughing and giggling. There was little romance it was subtle but the chemistry is top notch drspite the age gap. I used to want more romance in a series but I did not notice that there was little romance in the whole series. Their eyes speaks a lot of emotions I cant even hate the villains in this story because their villain arc is justifiable. Was this review helpful to you?
Villain-free RomCom is peak.
When I say I love RomCom, this is what I mean: there’s a perfect balance between romance and comedy, with less unnecessary drama. This kind of RomCom is what I like—no murderous villains, no sibling rivalry over company control, and no one trying to kill anyone. It has no heavy drama scenes, just a perfect balance of emotional moments that still fit the RomCom genre. Also, no forced love triangles—the second male lead doesn’t try to force himself as the female lead’s love interest. And most importantly, no unnecessary breakups in the last two episodes, which we all hate. Another proof that villain-free RomComs are still the best. Was this review helpful to you?
Short, but not so sweet.
The two MLs saved this little production from dying a horrible death! OMG - the script was dreadful, the support actors not much better - but the saving grace - it was very funny! (the rolling comments across the top pf the screen were pretty funny, too. I do hope to see Ellfa and Beibei in a full-length BL soon. Was this review helpful to you?
To the point, and smooth to watch
I am not much into vertical dramas tbh..If the story and acting both sucked i would not have completed this. Though i did watch it in 2x speed.. i did enjoy the directness of the drama and the fact that i didnt have to skip scenes.. The elder brother of the prince was maybe my most favorite character.
It was refreshing for the first time in a while for the guard of the ml to respect and support the fl from the start instead of presumptously speak ill of her~~
Like any other vertical dramas it has lots of heart fluttering scenes, cheesy dialogues and intimate interaction... cute banter etc.
Its good for pastime.

The plums are mature.. As i head to the yard to pick them..My longing for you only grows
It’s such a healthy drama, especially compared to the intense, complicated ones I usually watch. At first glance, it feels like a simple love story. Almost cliché. But somehow, it isn’t.
There’s a “family feud”… except it mostly exists in people’s assumptions and fears.
There’s an ex… but she might just be the best ex-girlfriend ever written — mature, dignified, and not reduced to a villain.
What I really loved is that it’s about healing through everyday life. Nothing dramatic or exaggerated. Just small moments, quiet growth, and emotional honesty.
In the beginning, it feels like the story belongs to the female lead. But as the episodes unfold, you realize so much of it happens around the male lead’s world. Slowly, gently, it becomes his story too. His healing. His perspective. His emotional journey.
It’s soft, grounded, and sincere — a drama that doesn’t need chaos to feel meaningful.

How come I had never hear of this gem?
I stumbled upon this series by way of a random short segment showing up in my YouTube feed. Once I figured out the title of the series I found the full series of episodes on YouTube and started watching it. And it did not disappoint. This series is a classic hero-returns-from-presumed-dead-to-take-revenge story so the basic nature of the plot is not unique. However, the delivery of that plot is fantastic. Christy Guo is just so perfectly cast as the mesmerizing, mysterious vengeance-seeking Mo Wang / Quingchuan. Tall and with an ethereal beauty, she enters scenes with an almost supernatural aura. Her intensity of resolve is wielded like armor on top of unimaginable pain, both personal and social. As the story goes on to reveal more and more of what she was forced to endure by the selfish decisions of others, Guo's acting makes her rage becomes your rage. The rest of the cast is excellent. In particular, veteran actor Tian Miao, as the Empress Dowager delivers yet another fantastic performance. She steals scene after scene. I am not a huge fan of Zhour Zhan as the choice for the Male Lead, Xia Qiguang. To me, he simply looks too delicate and baby-faced to take seriously for a role like this one. It's a matter of taste, but I just think he's more of a 'SML' type of actor for me. That said, he did grow on me as the series progressed and he really, really delivered in a scene late in the series when Qiguang was breaking down and crying to Qingchuan. Beyond the excellent script and acting, another strong point of this series is length / editing / pacing. It is not a long series with only 18 episodes (fewer in some re-organized formats such as on YouTube). And there is no wasted screen time on 'plot filler' contrivances. Almost no minutes are wasted in this drama and it avoids most annoying gimmick that many dramas use just to fill out extra episodes. The concise story-telling that results from this is refreshing and captivating. Was this review helpful to you?
