They won't let me give it. 5 of a star!

I heard so much about this show being amazing and I just don't get it. The two leads have no chemistry and I had a hard time believing the even like each other let alone love each other. It comes off as more of an awkward bromance and even the one kiss which I guess was supposed to convince me they love each other was totally cringe. Bad script, bad chemistry & bad acting. Some of the side characters where some what interesting but I was honestly shocked when I found out there was a season 2. Unless your just looking for back ground noise or a show you don't really have to pay attention to you can just skip it all together. Like honestly would chose to watch grass grow before watching this again or would be a better use of my time.

Ugh.....

The short was a million times better! I wasted so much time watching this and waiting for it to get better but the script was just horrible.which sucks because after watching En of love I had such high hopes. The leads have such amazing chemistry and are just amazing together it's a shame the script wasn't better. Yet another show that's been hyped but doesn't deliver. Idk, if LITA, Cutie pie, Bad Buddy & Tharntype have just made me set the bar higher but I'm having a hard time finding a decent show these days. ?

I guess I'm dissenting...sort of!

I guess I'm dissenting. I did give it an 8.
First the good stuff....The story line was intriguing and the production and music was excellent.
For the main characters, Hsu Kia made the series. His charisma and magnetism was off the charts in my opinion. Taro, Nat , and Louis (Bai, Eddie Chen) were all very good and had some strong well done scenes. However, they did not have the consistent on screen attraction that Hsu displayed. As couples I was initially into Fan and Bai but that changed around the time Bai dropped out of medical school. I tried to get into Eddie and Chen. I kept thinking I was missing something after seeing all of the post about how they were the better couple, etc. I never felt it.
Actor-wise the side/secondary characters were all generally strong.
I did think there was some choppiness to the story flow and then some stangnet areas.
My dark filter of this series may come down to the fact that for me there was too much violence and blood.
The cameo's were cool and yes I would have loved to see Jake Hsu and Chris Wu. That would have been sweet.
I am a very big fan of the History series. I'm not sure how connected this series is but I'm hoping I will enjoy their next effort more than this one.

It's been a while since I have been THIS invested in a show & couple!

I started watching Kiseki without too much expectations. I'm generally a sucker for mafia-setting BLs, so I was sure I'd enjoy it enough but I was not ready for just how much I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this show!!!!

And the main reason is, as I guess for many others, the incredible chemistry of the side couple! Don't get me wrong: The main couple did a great job, too, but Chen Yi and Ai Di just instantly stole my heart and I rewatched all their scenes several times already despite the show just wrapping last night.
This couple's story is heartbreaking and beautiful and both characters are intresting and lovable despite their obvious flaws. It also helps that both actors are incredibly hot and very skilled in their acting.

Especially Louis, who plays Ai Di, did just such an amazing job at portaying his character! I have never seen him play in anything before Kiseki but I am definitely going to follow up with his career from hereon out as this man has some serious skills. He is able to portray pining & vulnerability in such a raw, open and realistic/subtle way to a level I don't think I've seen in any asian drama for a loooong long time! What a talent!!

The show definitely has its FLAWS - Sometimes pacing is a bit off (things moving too slow or too fast), some of the acting here and there is a bit wonky by main as well as side characters (in a sense of overacting. But overall, acting from everyone was decent enough to not pull me out of the immersion!), sometimes getting a bit heavy on tropes (especially the 'everyone is gay. do straight people exist??'-setup ^^; ) - but THE GOOD - the well written main 4 characters, HOT actors (I can't stress this enough!!), some really likeable and well-played side characters, great opening song and a storyline sending us on wonderful emotional rollercoaster in regards to all couples involved - definitely outweighs these by far!

I also loved the intimate scenes for both couples and the decent amount we got of them. I feel it's enough for people looking for some hot kisses but also little enough to not make people uncomfortable. And it definitely sparked my as well as other fan's creativity to extend their stories in fanworks - and I can't wait for so much more fanfiction and fanworks to come out until we hopefully, hopefully get a chance for a second season or spin-off series (fingers crossed!!)

Generally, if you haven't seen Kiseki yet I definitely DEFINITELY RECOMMEND you watch it!
One of my new absolute favorites that I, for a fact, will rewatch several times for sure!

It's a cute little show about healing.

I am honestly not the.best one to be reviewing these shows because I enjoy them so much more than most American television that I would just give them all 10's. :)

With that said, I try not to and I gave this an 8.5. Mostly because I didn't enjoy the music as much as others. What!? I had to take points of somewhere! lol Just kidding

I think overall the show was very good. The self-healing journey that the ML had to go through was heartbreaking and getting to know him more and more as episodes went on was a nice journey for the viewers since he started off as not likable at all.

Someone the supporting characters were annoying at times . Like the gossiper and annoying and mean teenage daughter but even they became likeable.

if you're looking for just a cute short show and aren't looking for any real depth. Then I think you'll like this show. But again I can't bring myself to rate anything bad because I like them all so take it with a grain of salt. :)

Best read between the lines/suspense drama for me

I understand the spoilers of this drama because like them, I also dropped because of the reviews I've read but when I was watching Zhao Lusi's Love like the galaxy, I was enticed to look for more of her dramas and I remembered this again. It was my paid annual leave that I was so bored and don't know what to do so I took patience watching every episode in details and alas! It got me hooked in episode 4 until the last episode. I even rewatched it for the nth time, can't remember how many times but every time I have free time, I watch it again and honestly, I lost interest to watch other chinese dramas, I only watch Zhao lusi's dramas but this is the drama I watched countless times, second the LLTG along side Leo Wu and the Hidden love 2023 along side Zhen Zhe yuan, I only watched her drama with Yang2 2 times but this Love of a thousand years was the most I rewatched because I can feel the intense look on ZYC's eyes that I haven't seen with ZYC's other dramas with other Leading ladies.

I assure everyone who will give time to watch this won't regret it.

For the ending explanation based on my understanding:
Since it is a love between immortal and mortal, I think from the spriritual lamp being broken and scattered in the universe, Fu Jiu Yun(ZYC) gathered his energy and made another universe for ZLS and with her family to live in peace since he is a Deity.
I concluded this based on their conversation in each episode about ZYC's wish for ZLS. He wants her to live in peace without suffering and heartaches, spoil her with the richest in the world.

I would appreciate any comment or feedback but this is my analysis after all we are watching a fiction drama here.
But the best about this drama is the chemistry and how the main lead carried his part as the deity to spoil the mortal who he loves very much

Fabulous Drama, Great Actors, Fabulous Chemistry

This is a really fun Drama with wonderful actors with great chemistry. So many people here leaving nasty negative reviews that say more about themselves than the Drama. If you don't like it fine but shut your mouth and don't spoil things for others with your nastiness. What you are leaving is not a Review but a testimony to your own misery and inability to enjoy what is a fine Drama. You don't ike it ? Poor you. They didn't satify your high expectations.? Tragedy! You didn't like it Boo Hoo. Write your own scripts if you don't like this one. What No talent or creativity? just good at Complaining. I love this drama Sad for you that it upsets you so much . I Definitely Feel IFYLITA Linger Afterwards

Given that this is made from a novel and the social norms of Thailand, there were a few parts I didn’t like. Overall the series was very well interwoven together.

I really dislike Ohm because he was a POS in the way he handled his cheating and the breakup where he tossed Jom to the ground was f—ed up. I didn’t care for Jom letting bygones be bygones because Ohm and Khamsean are two different people. I don’t care if it’s reincarnation. Khamsean would never be a filthy cheater like Ohm. Also, Fongkaew would never be shady like Khaimuk. What Fongkaew did for for her survival and getting revenge on someone who killed her father. Not the same thing as Khaimuk did.

I didn’t care for both ending as it left a lot of unanswered questions. The first ending where Yai came into the present. Like how? Is this answered in the novel. Stop! I can’t stand it when series leave endings like this where it forces you to read the novel but the novel is in Thai and I can’t read Thai. That second ending. They best be giving us a second season if they left us like that.

The good part was the messaging of the series without being overly preachy. I had read somewhere that Thai culture accepts love is love from its history. That throughout history sexuality isn’t dictated by sexual orientation. It was only in recent history with its new militant government that the country is now conservative about sexual orientation. It is whyThailand is so open to LGBTQIA+ foreigners coming to the country. This is why so many people cannot understand why gay marriage isn’t legal yet. While the people open to it, sadly the government isn’t. This really reaso acted with how Yai’s father is. It wasn’t that he wasn’t aware of both Ueangphueng/Mary’s relationship as well as Yai/Jom’s relationship. While he was aware and didn’t stop it, he still let his conservative views and power grab force his daughter into a toxic marriage and was willing to sacrifice his son’s happiness again to save face kind of bullshit. Pretty much sums up the situation of what’s going on in Thailand regarding LBGTQIA rights. The government will let people be all gay but won’t acknowledge it in anyway that matters.

I would have like to see Robert and Dech to carted to jail where they are striped of their dignity like they had done to their victims. I would’ve especially like to see Robert caned or whipped like he had done to the people who worked for him.

The women in this series really need to be hyped up. From Ueangphueng saving Jom from a whipping by the a-hole Robert. To Fongkaew sacrificing not only her body but her honor so she can ruin the murderer of her father. But the best MVP was the mother telling the father she’s done with his tyranny with their children because he was a power hungry prick.

The best part for me was Khamsean not getting Fongkaew because it helped Jom forgive Ohm and move on from that POS.

Everything about Yai and Jom’s relationship was perfect. I don t want to spoil it for anyone who is going to watch it with talking about them too much. Really the chemistry was there. You get realistic kisses, intimacy and everything BL fans want in a couple. One of the best couples I’ve seen in a while.

One last thing. Ming is the friend we all deserve.

Why writers why.. why every good drama have to be spoiled by the end

Very nice plot although they want mix every genre they could think offfff. I love the comedy side and don’t even doubt the chemistry. The chemistry is a huge plus and it’s nice to see other couples giving guest appearances. People who miss them would be delighted.

Spoiler alert*:
Although people are quirking about the age gap , I don’t mind it but bai zong yi being a minor taking a decision to love an adult that too a mafia one by risking everything in the drama doesn’t sit right with me though. Even though minors are not appreciated to watch this I don’t believe they want a minor to take those life changing decisions but still doesn’t want him to regret it. All he felt bad about his lover while sitting in the jail but not about his goal or career. Ok let’s leave that aside because he is a minor . What about Fan ze Rui he just forgive that sis and heroically said “live a good life in place of zhang teng.” He didn’t even think about the person who changed his whole life because of him. And what the writers want to say to the viewers , “even if someone tries to kill you or your loved one don’t try to defend yourself even if you did eventually someone will come to you to take revenge and kill you … Then what’s the most important thing to do is feel guilty for protecting your loved one instead of letting him die and stop defending to get yourself killed . Now icing on the cake is even if you are alive after the whole mishap by a Miracle (Kiseki) , you should forgive your killer and encourage them to be a murderer” . I gave a standing ovation ? to the last episode while watching it. Writers , what a plot. I take a bow for your logic.
So since I’m done with my venting , all I have to say is leave your brain in the suitcase and watch the drama and enjoy the chemistry and acting.

Okay Storyline with Great Cast

I think I would have hated this show if the cast wasn't as great as they are. I am going to break this review down into parts

Rui/Zong Yi-- I hated Rui at first and thought that I would never be able to like his character, and to be fair I didn't for most of the show. I had a very big problem with the fact that Zong Yi was a minor and Rui was forcing Zong Yi to house him and was also being weird and flirty with him. I thought that they would at least age up Zong Yi before the actual romance/intimacy was happening but Nope. It was important to the story that he was 17 but I don't really like that there was a sex scene when one of them was a minor and the other was in his 20s. I thought the part where Rui was hidden in the house went on way too long and I was honestly getting bored of it, but then it ended. AND THEN HE WAS HIS TEACHER???? I also don't really understand where Zong Yi's feelings came from since all Rui has done for him was help him with homework (in exchange for cake may I add) but once they got together I didn't hate them. Towards the middle of the story, I started to like this couple more and was rooting for them to get back together when Rui was out of prison, but then they pulled the amnesia thing which didn't really make a lot of sense because he was injured from being punched in the body?? but whatever lol. Once Rui and Zong Yi were back together I liked the storyline with Zong Yi's dad having a problem with them because obviously he would his son went to jail because of this dudes gang/mafia/whatever it was. By the end, I was happy for them and thought their ending was very cute. This review seems like I hated their entire storyline and I wanna add on that I dont!! Just compared to the side couple I did not care all that much for their story. Im sure that many people probably loved their story!!

Chen Yi/Ai Di-- For me they carried this entire show and I think they should have been the main couple, to be honest. I'm kind of a slut for childhood friends to lovers and especially in a mafia show like this I was just bound to love them. Ai Di was my favorite character in the entire series. He was so cute but crazy at the same time and honestly very mature for his age, WHICH WAS 18 THANK GODDD why does every show have to have so many minors??? Chen Yi was also a favorite of mine. Him being in love with the boss at first (who was like wayy too old for him idk why nobody told him this) made the scenes between him and Ai Di even better because I never knew when he was just gonna realize that hes in love with Ai Di (which was so so obvious I literally thought they were dating when I started the show) . These characters had soooo much chemistry I was literally biting my nails wondering when they were gonna get together. I was sitting there so sad for AI Di when it showed him celebrating their birthday alone every year TT. I did not like the fact that the first time they slept together Chen Yi was drunk, and then they didn't see eachother for years. I also did not understand why Ai Di went to jail I dont think they ever explained it. After the time jump I loved this couple even more. Seeing straightfaced, always serious Chen Yi try to figure out how to get Ai Di back was so funny (I liked when he gave him the face pillow lmaooo). When they finally got together I was so much happier than when the main couple got together tbh.

I did not care about the two old dudes at all and everytime they were on screen I did not pay any attention to them at all Im sorry. Im sure their story is interesting but I have no interest in the love story of two old annoying awful dudes.

I would recommend watching this just for the awesome cast, and for Ai Di and Chen Yi. It also has some cameos from other Taiwanese bl actors! Overall I definitely enjoyed this series.

Probably better off as the comic, oddly "breaks the third wall"

I have not read the comic this one is based on, but I feel like the first three episodes were a little confusing and jumped around a lot.
Plot- female lead's family was killed by the male lead in historical times. My guess is that she pretended to love him to get close to him and kill him later on.
I've seen this male lead in another historical earlier this year(Forbidden marriage), & maybe he's experimenting with modern dramas too. I feel like this drama was just a promo for Kim Young Dae. Not that that's a bad thing, but it makes for a boring watch.

There are some things in this plot that don't make sense like the reincarnation body he possessed had cancer...
Also several episodes the Director that male lead works for will say that male lead "has a tact for historical drama" . And this is a historical/modern drama we are watching. I feel like the script is a bit random and breaks the 3rd wall. Probably not worth your time if you have a huge list of other things to watch.
I was confused about whether this is a romance or revenge drama.

So Freaking CUTEEE

I watched this entire series in 2 sittings and It was so adorable I was going to barf in a good way. Objectively the main character is very very annoying and probably the worst roommate in the entire world but nothing about this series is to be taken seriously so I think it doesn't really matter all that much. Even though he is annoying, he is also so freaking cutesy and I couldn't help myself from literally loving him so much. The storyline is very cool and unlike anything else that I have ever watched before. I liked that it was lighthearted and not very dramatic and death-filled like other supernatural dramas, although I do love those too! The main characters are so cute and the opening credit is so cute I watched it every single episode lol. Anyways I would definitely recommend this drama!!

44 Episodes too Long!

What a waste of time this was. The story was neither compelling nor interesting enough for 44 episodes. Turned out we got more of the same shots of bloody operating room scenes, nurses stations, patients, more nurses stations, doctors in white coats, and far too many medical terms to keep straight. And for the record, it was 45 episodes not 44 as the blurb says.

The acting was ok - even though the actors had very little to work with given that screen writing. There was really zero chemistry between the ML & FL. She was supremely annoying in the beginning, and when she finally calmed down, she became unappealing. The older actors did well and were very convincing in their roles. Fu Bo Wen could have been something other than apologetic and repenting all the time. As unnecessary as his character was, I found the ER doctor Chen Shao Cong to be the most amusing and his girlfriend to be cute and amusing as well.

So many holes! One minute mama is in a coma, the next she's walking around at home! What happened to Zhuang Shu's sister? She needed to come down from her high horse with a serious dose of reality! Why wasn't the hospital dean locked up for his misdeeds? And what happened to Chu Jun?

If the writers and director didn't waste so much time on meaningless scenes with heavy cello and violin music (what was that for anyway?) Maybe they could have developed the romantic relationships better - at least give us some couple time! What was that ending?! It was ridiculous and a bitter disappointment after investing 44 episodes of boring medical jargon.

What a dismal disappointment this was. I don't care for Bai Bah He - but I like Jin Dong.

Absolutely NO rewatch value for me - and the OST was a bust as well - too heavy on the cello and violins, and they did very little to enhance the scenes. Whoever did the clothing needs to go back to design school too,

If you're looking for romance, this one isn't it. If you're looking for a riveting story, sorry, this one isn't it either. IF you like to pick apart the accuracy of the medical lingo and procedures, have at it. There isn't much else to recommend this one!

Seriously ridiculous, love it

Surprisingly engaging. More comedy than romance. I had a great laugh binge-watching this. Even the supposedly serious parts are ridiculous. I was cackling through the final showdown and a rubber snake!

The pacing and editing is everywhere. It was hard to grasp who is who and what their missions were, or rather it was easy to miss. I could not tell who the missing persons poster was supposed to be until they found her!!! With so many secret identities/swaps they could have done much better reveals. I guess if you were watching live, there could be some mystery over who is ML and who is 2ML or at least they tried but it's kinda obvious.

The romance is not that deep or moving but the bickering, flirting and FL's lusting is humorous. She gets to take advantage of the MLs often. Resolution of love triangle was unconvincing (FL making her choice). SLS potential.

A fair bit of slapstick violence. I found myself thinking it was unnecessary or wondering sometimes if it was supposed to be funny.

Overall, funny antics and good looking leads.
