Unleashing Laughter in the Legal Arena

In summary, while "Legal High" shines in its comedic elements and character growth, it stumbles in delivering a consistently captivating storyline, especially in its ending. The potential of certain character dynamics remains underexplored.

The series falls short in delivering a compelling storyline through its legal cases. Despite this, a commendable aspect is the notable growth exhibited by the lead characters throughout the series. Witnessing Jaein's evolution from a rookie lawyer to a competent lawyers adds a commendable layer of depth to the overall narrative, contributing significantly to the series' appeal.

The series maintains viewer engagement through the amusing persona of Taerim and the unfolding friendship with Jaein. However, the narrative falters in the underdeveloped and inconclusive one-sided rivalry between Taerim and Kiseok. Additionally, the underdeveloped romances, particularly the one involving Jaein and Kiseok, are disappointingly redundant and occasionally perplexing. This aspect could have benefited from more nuanced development and exploration, enhancing the overall emotional resonance of the story.

Regrettably, the series concludes on a somewhat disappointing and hurried note, undermining the buildup established in preceding episodes. The main lawsuits fail to captivate, lacking the riveting appeal seen in the smaller cases the characters tackled, resulting in an unsatisfactory ending. A more robust and satisfying conclusion to the main case could have elevated the overall viewing experience.

Beautiful love story with wasted potential

The protagonists of this drama were the ones who gave light to the plot.
Jun showed impressive maturity to take care of another person while still a teenager, even though he could've made better decisions and been more honest, he was a wonderful person to those around him.
Rara was a very happy female lead, full of light and life, I loved her positivity and her desire to move forward without getting stuck in the past, she really is very strong.
Regarding their relationship, it's one of the most beautiful couples I've seen in dramas. They developed a love so pure and honest, as they both came into each other's lives at their worst moments, each was the light that helped the other move forward. Jun's love confession "I was all depressed, then one day joy came to me and that was you" and Rara's response "you are the lucky charm that came into my hopeless life, thank you for liking someone like me", they squeezed my heart with their feelings.
I'd love for this to have been the end of everything so I could give this story a higher rating, but unfortunately the final 3 episodes arrived and gave a twist to the wonderful love story that was being built.
One of the first plot twists that added drama to the story was the age difference between Rara and Jun, an issue that we knew they had to resolved at some point in the series, but I never expected them to do it so badly.
They could've had them separate while Jun was completing his studies, do a time jump and finally get them together, but the writers came up with the wonderful idea of giving Jun cancer... and to top it all off, faking his death for 5 years to then give us a 1 minute scene where he magically resurrects and Rara immediately forgives him. In any case, if they had decided to just kill him, it would still have been terrible, cause how do they give hope to Rara's life after the death of her father, and then also take away another loved one? They rushed the ending to try to make it "happy", when they shouldn't have made it so melodramatic from the beginning.
But, despite everything, nothing takes away the happiness that the first 10 chapters of this series gave me.
I must admit that I started watching this drama excited for it being Lee Jaewook's first leading role, who did not disappoint at all, his way of acting is incredible, especially the feelings he conveys with his eyes, he really immerses himself in the characters and I believe every word he says, he's too natural.
Despite everything, I'm glad I watched this drama, cause he made me laugh and bawl my eyes out at different times, and I fell much more in love with Lee Jaewook, so I'm looking forward to watching more of his projects.

Excellent story, acting, production…

This one is always listed in the top 10 historical c-dramas… so kf course I had to check it out.
A bit long with 58 episodes of 45 mins… but it is worth it.
ML- God Moh Yuan / Ye hua is amazing. He manages to give you a complete different feeling when playing each of the roles…. And his devastation when FL is gone breaks your heart.
FL- Bai Qian… she is a mix of everything… from shy, quiet, stubborn, martyr… to fierce Goddess… she plays it very good.
I loved her as a Goddess… taking command and no BS from anyone… (although you have to wait a lot of episodes but .. it happens).

One thing..l a lot of time spent on secondary storylines… probably to give sedway for kther seasons… but they are endearing so, it was Ok.
The story makes you really hate Heaven… and cheer for the underdogs.

Overall… a bit long but very nice story, acting and production… and with good ending.

I couldn't quite connect with this series on several levels. It had some good visuals and an ambitious story, but when it came to the execution, it stumbled pretty hard. The pacing felt way too slow, dragging on with these super long episodes that struggled.
Character development, which is crucial for a good drama, felt disappointingly shallow. The important characters just didn't get the depth they needed, making them feel kind of distant and undeveloped. The romance was generally bad and forced, lacking that genuine chemistry that should've pulled at the heartstrings.
The story itself got a bit messy sometimes, throwing in inconsistent mythological bits that interrupted everything. Even though "Goblin" had its moments of grandeur and some heartfelt acting, it couldn't keep up a consistently engaging storyline or build compelling character arcs.

Slow Moving with No Plot

I was hesitant to watch Love Me Love My Voice. I thought it looked like it might be boring and slow moving .Not only was this drama very slow it had no plot. There was no direction nothing was happening. I could not believe they had made 33 episodes with literally no content. The male lead and female lead mainly sat around smiling in each other faces. I picked this drama over other dramas because of it's high rating. What a disappointment. The female lead acted like she had the mind and social skills of a twelve year old, Drama writers gave her and the male lead little to no personality. Sad to say the writers gave the characters no growth. The childish immature way the female lead character was in early episodes had no growth. This is one of the most poorly written dramas I have had the misfortune to watch.

Transhumanism meets a living version of Oscar Wilde's Dorian Gray.

The script for this drama is one of the best done on this topic to date. No doubt this is a view of what is to come in dramas. Initially, it is unclear whether this is AI-induced or if is it simply opening a portal for parallel concurrent "men" to pull their other selves. For most of the viewing audience, this is probably not a concept they are familiar with. As a link to the use of AI, it is based on the idea that an AI can be controlled ie pulled from a mirror.

Advanced AI takes on an independent persona and quickly exceeds what the "inventor" intends which is one of the issues in having no laws governing the use of AI in limitations....a topic for another day. AI has been around since the early 1950s so most applications to date have been invisible but all are tied to the "transhumanism movement".

In this drama, only a portion of the personality is captured in the AI model....which implies that your personality is segmented within a person versus a set of integrated characteristics. Also a topic for another time.

My very favorite part is the exploding mirror images toward the end. As it was dolled out over weeks, going back to watch the full series in one sitting allows you to catch the details we miss in this choppy viewing model. In part, it takes a few episodes to figure out what is happening. Of course in true Asian drama style....it is all about men changing new ways to continue the archaic practice of following their "tiny tim" into the lives of a host of women....except for their wives of course......so for this to be a Chinese drama....well all who are researchers in Chinese culture know that this is a centuries-old male clown act driven by a sense of entitlement to thousands of women from the concubines/consorts of dynasty times to the 21st-century mistresses and Erani (second wives).

The women characters are the real stars of this drama as they are the investigators, the group that holds up the morality in the saga (well except for the off-the-shelf typical Chinese MIL character). They work together without striking one another and embody the millions of professional Chinese women globally of today. Overall it was very well done for the first time.

If you can watch, don't lose time and go watch it.

My standards were pretty high with this one and it didn't disappoint me at all.
-First of all, the cast: I already heard about Park Jihoon's talent but I had never seen any of his works and all I have to say is that I am AMAZED. His character is portrayed flawlessly and his eyes had me amazed the whole time. Likewise, want to mention Hong Kyung's acting (Oh Beomseok), which also mesmerized me. All the casting was done perfectly.
-The story might seem like one of these typical bullying stories at some schools but I think it goes way deeper than that and that's what fascinated me.
You get to be on the skin of the characters and you can feel them and understand them, even when they do morally incorrect things.
-It has many fighting scenes, which some people might dislike but I honestly liked it because it showed the depths of the characters and how far they could go when they lost control.

As I said before. If you have the time and the opportunity to watch it, go and watch it ASAP. It is truly a gem.

DO NOT JUDGE ME BUT...

While most people live with the hope that tomorrow may be better, we still have chance. I always lived with the hope that i have the power to kill myself and end it all! If life gets unbearable than I can just give up on this material body.
But this drama portrayed the afterlife so badly! I understand the message they wanted to deliver was to prevent people from doing so, but guilt tripping suicidal people doesn't seem to be a good way.

As for me, I liked the entertainment part of it. Every part of it was so gripping! An unique plot is all we need!

Though I know this is not how afterlife works, still somehow, I feel even more hopeless and I'm sure it's not just me, more people are out there who feels like I do!

I liked how they portrayed the "Solipsism" theory. Lastly, I'd say it's worth watching.

Best Kdrama Ever!!!?

This was definitely worth watching. The story was amazing and I never got bored! Though it was a really sensitive topic (personal reasons) I enjoyed watching this series even tho I probably cried nonstop the last 4 episodes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, I Immediately fell in love with the characters too! It was so natural. We need more Kdramas like this. You don't need romance to enjoy a series.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was very touching and I hope you'll try and watch it too!
xx your best friend ;)

Great watch overall - hard to choose a standout factor amongst great project

I am writing this review probably a month after the watch of this show. It stuck in my mind as a great watch.

One word for it - consistent. I was dropped into a bucket of emotion and comfort. I did not feel threatened by ridiculous plot or unnatural acting of the leads for the sake of story. They kept their character throughout (not suddenly cute while being portrayed as extremely cool). The makn character traits stayed the same -- some aspects of their character were challenged and some were relished by the moments in the story -- as it should be! It is really that easy, challenge the traits you give them as a writer, do not simply give them randomly new ones. It is life for God's sake (except dis fake life but ykwim, they be representing life).

Their chemistry was one of the best in bl I witnessed. Sometimes they made me feel butterflies just because of their bantering.

I do not particularly care for OST, so not really memorable.

One of fave watches of 2023.
Skip never.
Many rewatches shall proceed.

Also pls S2. Only if you won't disappoint me.

Thanks for reading.

Bye bye.

Anti-Suicide Messaging overboard but Still Amazing!!

Do not get me wrong I really loved this show, but I was really put off by how much the show reiterated that Yi Jae needed to be punished for his decision. I think that it has to do with the fact that this show was sponsored by the Korean government like the sports and culture I think. Korea is known to have high rates of suicide due to work culture (not only Korea). I understand the messaging of finding purpose and wanting to show there is good in life, but actively punishing someone after they have made a decision to literally die and feel guilty is not really beneficial. As a person who heavily identifies with Yi Jae it made me really uncomfortable.
Despite this I found the acting in this drama to be absolutely amazing and it really evoked strong emotions in me. The last body he takes made me BAWLL!! I totally forgot that it was not Seo In Guk playing all the different characters, it really felt like he was just wearing their faces.
The story line was also really interesting, I personally have always wanted to be able to live in another person's body so it was really fun and interesting to see how the director worked with the plot. Also the fact that there is another plot that Yi Jae is solving aside from his death was also really cool.

Overall, it was a great show and I recommend it but if you are struggling mentally some of the messages are a bit tough to swallow.

One of the best c dramas I've watched.

I'm not a fan of romantic dramas but a huge lover of fantasy genre. So I've been very picky when watching c dramas and watched this after reading a lot of reviews that recommended it. Fair to say I was not let down by the hype this how had. From the cast, to the dialogues, cinematography and the plot it'd keep you gripped onto your couch or bed ;) It has a very unique plot and an engaging story line with no lags. I binged all 40 episodes over the weekend and couldn't resist myself from falling in love with Cheng Yi. His screen presence was majestic, and he flawlessly transitions from a goofy nomad to a serious swordsman. Couldn't get over how cute Jospeh Zang was and his bickering scenes definitely make you rewatch this drama. I really loved how they didn't villainize Xiao Shun Yao, instead showed the story from his pov too.

Yeah i need a little bit more...

This comes to my YT feed after watch several Dilireba short video.

Unfortunately although the story quite good & have meaning, I still a little bit more explanation, aka duration to make this more decent or complete....

They build enough information about Dilireba character, but her opponent feel lacking something... And the way it end abruptly like this feel like something really missing....

I also really hope I can see the exhibition that Dilireba plan to do....

For u who want to watch but lazy to scroll down here the link: https://youtu.be/MuO6yirHm7k. Oh yeah while u already start watching, just stay tuned until the end. There's some scene left after the credit.

I realize I'm in the minority, but certain aspects of this actually made me angry!

If you watched and loved this drama, please just ignore my review and move on. No need for hateful comments.

There was so much that was out of whack with this drama, but I'll start with what I liked.
1) Main couple had some cute scenes together. There could have been more romance, but since that isn't the focus, I'll give it a pass.
2) Kim Min Jae as Nurse Eun Tak. He's just a cutie and I liked his character.
3) The friendships between the hospital staff. And you gotta love Mr. Goo.

Not so much:
1) Eavesdropping continued from season 2. Everyone was talking about everything out in the open, or the walls were so thin that they could be heard through. Is HIPAA not a thing in Korea?
2) Eun Jae's father is brought on board to run the trauma center. I don't think this would happen for two reasons: 1) the problems between the two of them, and 2) He says that he'll come on board if Dr. Kim leaves? They've just said that Dr. Kim is the reason for the success of Doldam hospital! I know you need "bad guys" to move the story along, but this was implausible to me.
3) Jang Dong Hwa - he was a complete slacker and a danger to patients because of it. There is no way they would have kept him on staff.
4) Ah Reum and Eun Tak. Cute, but in this season, she seemed so much older than him. I don't know if it was makeup or what. I did, however, like their conversation about what they want out of life and getting a house.
5) The character of Jang Gi Tae was still way over the top. What's with the laugh?
6) I don't know if it was due to the script, but I didn't find the acting, in general, to be as good in this season.

The most irritating things for me:
1) The entire staff flew to the North Korean ship!?!?!
2) So, initially there wasn't even going to be a Doldam hospital, but then they got approval for the other and were going to keep BOTH open?! I don't think so.
3) The thing that irritated me most was when the fire was heading toward the hospital. They have evacuated the patients, but they can't find Dr. Kim. He is found by one of the nurses in the OR "contemplating" everything that has gone on in that room, and, according to her, how many patients he has saved. A fire is raging, yet all the medical staff stays in the building looking for a doctor that won't answer his phone, then even though he knows what is going on, he just calmly stands there talking to the nurse. I thought the acting in this section of the show was seriously lacking. Then when the rain comes, the size of that fire wouldn't have been put out that quickly with that amount of rain.
4) Patients come in to be treated. "Oh, our staff is still evacuated until tomorrow". They would have had to let someone know this ahead of time so that patients could be transported elsewhere.

I complete this once I started it, but was sorry for the time I wasted.

A Mind Refresher

Having been recommended this drama by a friend, this is my first JBL drama.
The plot is very refreshing, the characters are interesting, and there is no toxicity in the story. Misunderstandings are resolved in one or two episodes without dragging on. What I adored more than the relationship between the male leads was the friendship between Hashimoto and Aoki, a friendship filled with respect for each other.
Throughout the drama, you are given a glimpse of what it's like to discover and accept your sexuality.

For some fluff and a mind refresher, give this drama a try!
