well! this has all the tropes ......

wel, it has pretty interesting plot, and great chemistry between main leads. this drama is good . i liked every moment of it from start to finish. it never felt boring.there are some pretty cheesy moments in this where u will feel like 'really do u have to' but in the end they together will make the drama so much better then it would be without them.
also at first the main lead was freaking cold and rough but later he turned into such a kind and romantic person that we expect from every kdrama male lead

my expectations wasn't so high. but in the end I was satisfied. {but till now i didnt understood that why the ghosts disappeared by touching jo jong won.......} they should have cleared this....

Are you willing to immerse yourself fully?

This is the question you should be asking yourself when you start watching this drama. If you're going to watch it half-heartedly without paying attention too much to the details, you might find yourself getting lost which is exactly what I didn't like about this drama. Below, I've listed the following reasons which made it seem like a drawn-out experience for me.

1. There is too much information with little to no time to process what is happening.
From the very first episode, it was quite evident that this would be a problem that I would be encountering throughout the drama. If you've watched it, I trust that you fully understand why I am saying this. They give you the general gist of the situation with not much clarification, they tell you one thing without explaining much of it.

This would've been a lot better if they didn't force you to process so much information in such a short time span.

2. They make it seem so complicated when in fact, it is not.
Finishing the drama, and understanding its general gist makes me realize how simple the entire situation is. It took me through so much when it shouldn't have.

3. The second half of the drama was just, too much.
Everything comes out of nowhere, suddenly, the male lead is doing so much when he came from such an incapable background.

Again, this drama is totally dependent on you. If you can keep up with the force-feeding of information, then maybe you should watch it. I'm only describing it from my point of view.

Ahh.....

Oh god this was awful! Once it finished I double checked if I was missing any more episodes beyond 122 because the drama just ended?! What! I read that the drama was meant to be 120 eps so they probably went over budget. Don't expect anything from this drama, and I mean absolutely NOTHING! Weirdly enough, the antagonist "Hwa Kyung" is treated like a main character and got 75% of the screen-time to herself, meanwhile the main female lead "Woo Jung" treated less of than a support character.

If you watch this - watch to episode 35, then skip to the last ten minutes of the finale.

I always wonder about drastic changes in continuity, and since I will never know why. I will ask. Whose idea was it to add multiple bar-scenes to the last six episodes? But, what's even more noticeable; our bullet proof couple was hijacked by the powers-that-be; stripped of their armour; romantically dumbed-down; while the male lead was regulated to shadowy figure.

I blame production. Who took a good love story; then voided the previous 30 great episodes, visual ascetic (remember new bar scenes), and side characters in episode 33. To end on a break-up trope, complete with ex-girlfriend. I know what they wanted to convey, choice, but then they launched a misunderstanding loop in the last 5 episodes. Leaving unresolved side stories, while everyone that deserved karma, was given a walk.

"She and Her Perfect Husband" began as a good drama, that stumbled in the final dump of the last ten episodes into confusion, cliche, and nonsense. An average watch now, that should've ended sooner. Do I recommend it? Three-quaters of this drama I loved. If you are going to watch it, all I can suggest is watch to episode 35, and avoid the filler by skipping to the last ten minutes of the finale. It had such promise.

Evil cannot win

"A monster must be killed, not controlled with a leash."

A crime thriller comedy with such brilliant tone and manic energy that's always building to something unexpected and explosive. Bad Prosecutor doesn't take itself too seriously even as it tackles corruption, tragedy and murder. This is part of its secret, what makes it so entertaining, but it strikes a perfect balance between zaniness and heavier themes.

And genius actor D.O. Kyungsoo makes his triumphant return to dramaland after a 3 year absence! This drama is a nice change of pace from his previous series, 100 Days My Prince (2018), an unsurpassed romantic melodrama.

Certain scenes recall A Hard Day (2014) but overall it has the same slapstick and relentless action. And it’s full of endlessly satisfying choreographed fight scenes! An American version of this show would be deadly serious with muddy lighting and would drag on for eight seasons. The titular character would not be a zany crime fighter who stops at nothing, even illegal means, to secure justice. He would be dour and hard-faced and I'm bored by him already.

But the role of Jin Jeong seems tailor made for Kyungsoo. He's a tireless crusader for justice, he even swings a sword around. I can't remember which director it was who called him an acting genius, but a more fitting title doesn't exist. (At least for this particular gift of his). There were glimpses of his comic timing in 100 Days, but primarily he's known for tragic and intense roles. So it's a lot of fun to watch him be so unserious and goofy, a literal cartoon character with the same kind of elasticity. And the intensity is still there. It is immensely rewarding to watch him transform in each new role. Such an expressive performer with the skill to make his deep passion look effortless.

Kyungsoo is my favorite working actor next to Denzel and each new project reminds me why. Bravo all around to Bad Prosecutor, its star, and the colorful ensemble.

Really enjoyed watching !!!

This tv show is your typical enemies to lovers trope, sometimes it gets a bit annoying the back & fort bickering but it’s all for character development so I don’t mind.

I usually stay away from enemies to lovers type of dramas but because it had the element of a contract relationship I watched it and it was pretty good.

The grandma really annoyed me though, the male lead goes through a lot so be prepared to be annoyed & upset. You’ll need a lot of patience.

There’s a lot of surprises along the way that will keep you wanting to continue watching so you won’t get bored.

The ML and the FL look really good together, and their chemistry is amazing. When they finally start to fall in love with one another it is really beautiful. The ending was also good, I recommend.

Middle school romance played by adults

After a few more episodes in, this show is rapidly turning into a major disappointment. Besides my initial concerns listed below, every characterization and plot decision has been childish and terrible. I am getting so tired of back and forth between Jang Uk and Jin Bu Yun. It’s like a middle school romance being played out by adults. So cringy. The infamous Hong sisters are famous for not knowing how to wrap up story threads and it was evident toward the end of the last season. They obviously gave themselves an out by doing a time skip without much explanations and we’re just supposed to go with whatever.

Every episode, I see either Jin Mu or Lady Jin, I’m reminded of their crimes and how everyone knows about it. But they treat these two like some annoying neighbors instead of treasonous criminals. All they can do is take shots at them and make sarcastic remarks. So stupid.

Initial concerns:

What bothers me is how Jin Mu and the Lady Jin are still around even after all they’ve done. Like they kidnapped the queen and swapped her body??? Maybe they’ll explain later but that’s a big plot hole to start the new season with. But what I’m thinking is that by keeping the same villains intact, they’ll recycle the same plots and schemes? I hope not. I initially thought Jang Uk and Jin Bu Yun will take a while to meet but they met right away and ended up “getting married” right away. Anticlimactic, it was.

I also wish they just picked up where they ended. We shall see how this goes.

TBH it's closer to bronze than gold ...

Oh boy, this was a little disappointing.....but I was kinda expecting it.

The story isn't bad...who wouldn't like to watch the forbidden love between the son of the mafia and his bodyguard? I know, right?? Sounds pretty interesting to me too! But the really missed the mark is pretty much all aspects on this one, and that hurts.

I really wanted this series to be good, but it wasn't. The chemistry wasn't there, the rare kiss scenes between SunSky were givind dead fishpallooza *UUUGHHH* The acting too was pretty rough - trust me guys, it pains me to write these words, but I have to be honest here. Sun (Boat) and Pitch (Sugus) were the best actors, but that alone wouldn't save the series. Sky's cries were very cringy lolol and that date scene OMG lolololol NOPE. I CAN'T.

The whole plot of the dad being obsessed with his "rival" and calling him mid attacks were stupid lol the guy is clearly doing EVERYTHING to kill his son (Sky) and he thinks it's a smart mafia decision to call him and laugh (very fake btw) about burning his drugs? Come on...just give him your son, it saves us time lolololol so dumb.

I'm not even going to say much about the "you have to prove that you love each other by not speaking for 6 years.....and then MAYBE you can be together" bullshit. I really HATE when they do that. It calls their audience (us btw) idiots! Why did it take him 6 years tho? Their reunion after 6 fucking years were also very lame.

Yeah. It felt like a lukewarm soup that needed way more seasoning on a very cold night. Don't really recommend this one.....watch it at your own risk.

GOYOUNJUNG!

THE DRAMA IS SO GOOD, Y'ALL SHOULD WATCH THIS. the characters is all so loveable, i love how they portrayed yeong's cheerful and bubbly character. in season 1 yeong is the shadow and uk is the light but now uk is the shadow and Yeong is the light, there's so many parallel that hurts me. BUT OVERALL THIS IS GREAT! i love the main couple and the second couple, the way they are looking at each other got me laughing and giggling. she's so bold and confident she's pretty and she knows it! when he says that she's pretty, i remember the scene where he says she will always look pretty to him. it just shows that they are destined to be together, they are separated for three years, THREE YEARS. but in the end he still found her and will love her again. their love story will always break me but also made me believe that love do exist

Very silly dark comedy

This is an absurd show that requires you to switch your brain off, lower your expectations, and not take anything too seriously. I found about 50% of it fairly entertaining. This show is at its best when it's a dark comedy and the earlier episodes are genuinely amusing at times. However it then introduces a murderous plot and a love triangle and sadly takes them both vaguely seriously and moves away from dark humour to more conventional silliness, casting aside the show's main strength. It continued to amuse me, but often unintentionally.

Things I liked
This show was very funny at times. Intentionally at first, then mostly unintentionally. The concept was bonkers. She doesn't just accidentally kidnap someone; she preps an acid bath to dissolve his corpse. She nearly buries him alive at one point. If you're thinking there's no way you could find humour in such situations then this is almost certainly not the show for you. I was amused. Everyone in the show is very stupid. This was the catalyst for most of the shows plot and humour and I found it best just to accept that I was watching incredibly stupid people doing incredibly stupid things and allow myself to be entertained by it.

The ML is a spoiled, self absorbed jerk. This means that you probably won't feel any sympathy for him despite the fact that he's been kidnapped by an idiotic lunatic who keeps him chained up in her apartment for weeks on end. I feel this was key to the tone of the show and trying to make us like him later on was a mistake. The FL and SML are both pretty charming and handle the comedic aspects well. Kim Ga Eun did a great job as the FL, somehow managing to make a character who has repeatedly tried to kill someone fairly likeable. Kim Jong Hoon was also endearing and funny as Nak Goo- the oddball neighbour who accidentally becomes an accomplice to the kidnapping. They are both only marginally likable idiots but because the ML is such an obnoxious douchecanoe, you'll probably be rooting for them over him.

The romance between SML and FL was pretty sweet. They’re both complete idiots so they’re perfect for each other. The romance between ML and FL was so ridiculous and underdeveloped that I actually found it funny. I don't think I was meant to though. He mostly fell for her through scenes of romantic music playing whilst they looked at each other. Similarly, the murder mystery plot in the second half was pretty funny at times, but calling this entirely intentional would be giving the show too much credit, other than in the final showdown. I think it’s meant to be a bit silly, but I don’t think I was meant to laugh whenever they played dramatic music or the leads were in danger. I still did though.

Both the FL and the ML’s bad singing made me laugh.
There were a lot of montages. This made me feel nostalgic for 80s movie montages so I’m calling them a positive.

Things I didn't Like
The humorous moments were too sporadic and interspersed with too much drama. They should have thrown way more dark comedy in there and stopped trying to make us care about what was happening to these people. I didn’t care. I just found their stupidity entertaining. The show's tone veered away from black humour in the later episodes despite not having any other strengths.

They tried to redeem the ML. This was a mistake. He's a selfish arse who goes through no character development. Much of the earlier humour hinged on the viewer not liking him; they should never have tried to change that. We could have had humour to the very end of the show at his expense but the writers somehow decided that we should instead care about silly things like his career and his life. Fools.

The love triangle was handled poorly. The writer seemed to actually take it seriously, when they should have played it for laughs. Have the famous bellend fall for his kidnapper and have his overconfidence leave him stunned as he realises the FL doesn't like him and SML wins her heart. That would have been funny. Sung Hoon was amusing as a hateful arse, but he wasn’t up to the wider range of acting required of him in the latter half. Another reason they should have stuck to comedy at the MLs expense.

The pacing was off. The story takes a while to crank into black comedy territory and we get at least an episode of plot build up before we get to any jokes. Then they veer off into a different plot in the latter half of the show and everything changes pace once again before accelerating in the final episode to the extent that the main plot wraps up with about 2 minutes to go.

I don't think the stylist liked the female lead. Her lounging around at home clothes were suitably comfy but whenever she left the home she looked like a crazy person had dressed her. Which I suppose is technically true given the character, but probably not what they were going for.

TLDR: This is an occasionally funny black comedy that should have leaned further into the crazy, but lost its nerve and tried to be something a bit more conventional, losing its main charm in the process. It still made me laugh though.

Man, I really wanted to like this drama since the premise is so good - a great set up for a slow burn romance! Granted, the bromance is excellent but really that is the only saving grace.

I liked the first few episodes when we are introduced to the characters and I love that the FL is not some gullible love struck woman, as is common in most japenese dramas - she's reserved, introverted and rational while still sporting a warm but wounded heart. She wants so desperately to be loved and cherishes her relationship with her family and friend. I love that she knows how to take care of herself and that episode where she eats ramen and drinks by herself on her birthday is honestly so special and rare to see in any kdrama or japenese romance drama I have seen. I like how she takes her time to warm up to the ML and her reservations are valid. Unfortunately, when she does open up to the ML and takes a chance, there's hardly any chemistry between the leads and it's not because they get together so late into the drama but because the leads simply are not able to act out their chemistry real well. They are awkward together and their conversations a bit silly despite them being grown adults. This is my main gripe with most romcoms - the leads simply do not talk about things that matter and their relationship is akin to that of high schoolers and it is simply not cute. If I wanted to see that kind of relationship, I would watch a high school/coming of age drama and not this.

The ML started off as endearing, passionate and determined. He is not aggressive in his pursuit but quite patient and kind. I was afraid his relentless pursuit of her may border on stalking and boundary pushing behaviour but he is careful and seems to takes on rejection well - it helps that destiny and "god" is on his side and they keep having chance encounters and so perhaps he doesn't need to be creepy. I liked that he was kind of a dork in the beginning but then it got old & boring really fast and his chemistry with the FL just fell flat because of his awkward and shy ways. I also felt that his acting was a bit over the top - I am new to Japenese shows and so I am wondering if thats just the nature of Japense cinema? The acting is kinda exaggerated, anime-ish and it takes time getting used to. It is particularly exaggerated in the comedy genre and so some of the "funny" gimmicks came off as a bit cringy to me - simply not my cup of tea.

"God" was perfect though. He was hilarous, bossy, rude and arrogant. He had excellent chemistry with the ML - I loved all of their interactions and they looked like they were having a ball of a time while on scene. His departure in the end was not really a tear jerker for me but that may also be that I had stopped caring for the drama by the end though I still enjoyed his scenes and he is the reason I would give this drama 5/10 for acting because he is just that good.

Finally, even though the second leads were excellent, kind hearted and loyal friends they were pigeon holed into caricature like roles. A lot of their buildup probably happened off screen and that's fine, I guess, but may have been interesting to watch especially when the storyline started to get more and more contrived with the dad objecting to the leads relationship for no logical reason, the ML having to force his boss to eat carrots (WTF was that lmao?), long montages of him excercising and learning how to detect people's ring sizes and other such nonsense tasks he was assigned by God. Some of the tasks made sense and I understood the overall message of the drama which is that effort + destiny together makes or breaks the final outcome but it was just dragged on for so long and took up way too much screen time. The space could have been taken up to flesh out the SMLs or even build the chemistry of the leads themselves.

I am not going to bother talking about the other characters such as the workplace employees and the parents because they were all so cringy and annoying to watch. The FL's mom was nice but the dad's acting was again so OTT and I did not care for these side characters at all.

Anyway, my final verdict is that it was just an okay watch. I am still on the hunt for compelling japenese romcom in order to get me through my kdrama slump and I guess I must keep looking because this was just not it.

A must watch.. A beautiful love story

A must watch please dont give up because you feel it creapy. You need to look at it from the story it tell and wish we all got that last few days. This was such a beautiful drama that said so much within 8 episodes as we felt and watched their friendship blossomed to love.
I believed that Koichi and Mitsuri needed to complete their love for each other and be eaches #1. It was a surprise at the end when his dad went thru the same thing sort of wish he told him before. The cast did a great job also kudos to the writers

Nope...

This drama got one of the worst 1st episodes. I really didn't like the cast's performance. Extremely superficial and full of amateurs. It's impressive how 99% of similar drama templates turn any setting into a business setting regardless of whatever the beginning was, and this drama is no exception. You would think the setting would be in this "school" since the drama advertised FL as a teacher at a traditional Korean school and also the poster/synopsis seems like it but no! After few episodes, everything become about business with the usual cringe shenanigans in every similar setting where they fight/sabotage/expose each other till the end. The "twin" was seriously cringe, unbearable! How many were killed? Simply, there wasn't enough justice anyway. Don't watch!

Perfect Everything

Been waiting for this drama for a long time. One for the two main characters YM and XK, two eyes candies, no need to explain more. I thought it going to be a pluffy love story, but the storyline is very intriguing and refreshing! The surprise and fast pace of each case make me anticipate the next episodes. Waiting for the next day is torturing. Love QS strong women character and YH perfect husband chemistry! The only annoying part is the ex’s annoy fiancée that really need a life. Overall it is funny, heart warming and refreshing.

Please tell me there are more episodes!!

I just finished watching episode 40. I feel that that there is a lack of information. I saw on a clip online that they had moved into a new house, but that was not an episode 40. If James has a new job, why is he back in Shanghai? and what happens to Li Dai? I need at least three more episodes to round this out. I prefer at least 10. And James is no longer a husband!! Why keep saying marriage is important if they won't get married!? And how and when did Second Brother and MeiMei get back together?? Too, too many holes.
