Misogynistic and dated even for 2015
A drama where the female lead doesn’t have control over her own life. Forcing her to do what he wants, she has no say in her life and is unhappy living in the city. Why can’t she make he own choices, want things… When she wants something he wants her to give up more of her life and friends. A contract and constantly degrading her. He’s toxic but he could’ve been so much more… whatever. She gets sidelined for the male lead, he’s the main character. It barely has cute moments or romantic scenes but the comedy hooked me a bit.Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing but not queer enough
Amazing story of a man going into the body of a queen. It sounds silly but I would say this is really a political show. The longer runtimes allow so many subplots and side characters that I love. I mean a love triangle that overlaps with 2 other love triangles is so genius and complicated I had to make a chart. The twists and schemes are crazy, it’s tense and even messier than any show I’ve watched. My only issue is that it’s not queer enough, it tiptoes around queer themes by never going any further than bromances and flirting. I mean he’s a woman and he likes woman so he should be lesbian but no let’s have him with a guy but not make it gay. It would’ve been less effort to just make it gay.Was this review helpful to you?
Less compelling and more questions
After the amazing cliffhanger of season 1 I was hoping this season would give me answers. But instead it left me with more questions. This season also feels wayyyy less tense and the vibes are completely different. Focuses too much on the live streamers which I didn’t like in season 1, so of course I hate that they have an expanded role here. Not terrible just a little disappointing.

Just wow
It’s tense and will leave you on the edge of your seat. Weird creatures bring people to hell but it’s so much more than this and shows us what would happen to society if this happened. Perfect cult vs government storylines with amazing characters. I just can’t stand the live streamer but that’s it. God I want to rewatch this. Was this review helpful to you?

Bloated but brilliant
The premise, the twists, the relationships and the characters are brilliantly crafted. There were times I wished this series would never end. But towards the end it was evident that 20 episodes is too much for a series like this. If it had been 12 episodes it would’ve been perfect. Reused clips are common in dramas but it felt like it was wayyy too much here. It lost me when she came back into the real world and the ending felt like ‘it was all a dream… or was it?’ type endings I would write as a childWas this review helpful to you?
GO WATCH IT!
I love how it feels like a childish romance comic book but it’s self aware. I love Dano and her comedy so much and her condition adds a layer of depth to her. So much mystery and the reveals are really really good, the show takes time with them. I love that in the next scene everything goes back to normal and characters forget things, it’s a nice premise that she’s aware. I also really love the other aware characters (not going more into it). Also goes into mature storylines like abuse (not going more into it) and of course romance. My only issue is characters becoming unaware again, that’s where the show lost me a bit in Episodes 7-10 and at the end but otherwise it was perfect. Was this review helpful to you?
Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss!

Definition of a Japanese BL
I love misunderstandings, I love faking a relationship, I love characters that are hiding something and the premise is actually pretty good with him being unlucky and the love interest being lucky. It’s silly and crazy enough to work perfectly with a style I enjoy and find funny.Although, it’s quite derivative at some points, like heartbeat, they like the same manga and slow mo runs I’ve all seen before, these cliches are tired… enough. The title has kiss so you’d think they’d kiss more than once… well no…. it’s also short which just makes me want more (bls rarely get season 2s).

My avengers endgame
Ive seen all of these actors previously in bls from GMMTV so this felt like my avengers endgame. Most realistic relationships and character interactions I’ve seen in bls. Characters have depth, no one is an antagonist. Realistic fights that aren’t just there to pad out runtime. Real tear jerker with death and rejection o’plenty. And then we have Heart and Li, definitely my favourite couple ever. Their relationship is so tender, wholesome and sweet that I find it infinitely more compelling than the main couple. GeminiFourth you got a fan here. Was this review helpful to you?

Wattpad but WAY better
Mafia and photographer, I WAS SAT. This show is actually very beautiful like I was amazed at times and usually focus on the story. The episodes actually have titles which I’m thankful for since most bls don’t. I also love that the mafia part is so over exaggerated and Peach clocks him. I also love a clue less main character. But Aran and Tawan oh hell no get em banned I don’t like them one bit and the other couple is underdeveloped, seems like a trend with side couples in Thai shows. Was this review helpful to you?

What is this?
Jeongu comes back from working and sees two handsome strangers bothering him. They claim to be Choco and Milk, his dog and cat. Let me say that again his DOG and CAT and this is a bl….The worst part is that they act like pets and they use flashbacks to remind you every 2 seconds. Even if you look past that the emotional moments feel forced with no build up or reasoning. It doesn’t feel earned and it’s so disappointing. My first sad ending… and who cares they could’ve all lived happier but the writers just wanted it to have a sad ending.
People said they cried to this… I feel like I’m loosing my mind! They’re animals. And there’s a sex scene….. Is there really anything else to say?

My first and probably fav bl
Adachi is a 30 year old virgin can read minds and finds out one of his coworkers is into him, and he’s a man. It’s so interesting with the mind reading and a good romance and story. Some might find the style of comedy cringy or over exaggerated but I simply love it but it was jarring at first. The characters are amazing with Fujisaki (my goat), Kurosawa is a freak and jealous king and Adachi my little scaredy cat, Rokkaku my hyperactive annoying in a good way son. We also have aroace representation/a coded character and I’m really glad that they exist (not telling you who for plot purposes).
There’s issues with it, the main couple doesn’t kiss and the second couple is so awful and doesn’t even need to be in the show I can’t stand them mostly because they never actually seem in love and have an age gap that makes them incompatible in my opinion.

I have a lot to say
I recommend it because it’s not just a 1 to 1 remake and is its own thing. So compared to the Japanese version these episodes are longer. The extended runtime allows them to flesh out the story and relationships (like a proper introduction to Rock and Rock and Min’s relationship), adds new characters (Dujao as their boss and comedic relief) and keeps more moments from the Manga (which is also quite different from both versions). It also drastically improves the second couple so much that I actually liked them in this version and the main couple is able to kiss in this version. My issue is that it also strays too far and removes the elements I really liked like the aroace representation for an underbaked straight romance and less strong or more generic personalities from the characters (Pai, Karan, Achi and Rock especially). Even though I still love these characters, especially Pai. I also feel like the actor for Achi calling himself plumb as tofu while being visibly muscular is so funny.
Yes I’ve rewatched it multiple times now, I love this adaptation.

Young romance with trauma
Haebom is going through it in this show and I relate to him so hard. You are not a burden for existing, you deserve happiness and love. How you gonna love someone if you don’t love yourself? This show’s only weaknesses is that it’s kind of weird that they’ve been basically raised together, like brothers (ick) and they cut away from scenes instead of showing reactions and do a time jump 🤦🏻♂️Was this review helpful to you?
Very nice for a Chinese drama so it surprised me short and sweet
It was very cute I just wish we got to see the couples together longer. I know it was a pretty short drama but some parts felt slightly rushed and slightly incomplete. I know it’s a drama and a slow burn but the really good thing about slow burns is being able to see the burn complete and finished but after the slow burn ended the show just ended so it felt like we didn’t really get to reap the reward of the slow burn. Also there was a lot of drama which again I know it’s a drama there is gonna be drama but sometimes the drama felt like it was just there to create problems and fill time instead of moving the story along and developing their relationship. Other than that I thought it was pretty cool. I loved seeing both couples cuteness and rawness of emotions. The characters, at least the main 4, were very dynamic which was cool. They were imperfect and not one dimensional. Very beautiful story 10/10 would recommend! Was this review helpful to you?

Good despite the romance
The journalism part of this show is what really kept me coming for more. It makes up for an otherwise alright romance. They try to do enemies to lovers, office romance and the dreaded miscommunication trope but it falls a little flat and feels rushed. Why? Because it’s super short and doesn’t have room for it.Was this review helpful to you?
