Just a watchable drama

One of the most anticipated kdrama of the year just for the come back of actress Han hye joo, and in the end it's finished with pretty decent watchable drama with nothing in particular. Ongoing watching experience is always different comparing to a binge watch so i don't know how you will feel if you watch now. But even for the ongoing time this drama failed in many factors even though they had all the liberty to bring out an outstanding show.

A zombie drama always sound interesting, but here the situation they were facing was not a serious problem at all. Also the screenplay was not so well written it includes many dragging moments and most of them were unwanted. The first episode was very promising but it never continued that promise, after 9 th episode the gear shifted slightly faster but still the dragging feel you boring.

Everything completely scattered, no proper characterisation, no intense situation, they must create a do or die situation inorder to keep the audience on the edge. But it failed. Still it's not a bad drama, it's a watchable drama, there were some thrills also the background score played a big part to minimise the demerits.

Try it if u interested :-)

Overall I love this drama. Small imperfection but still acceptable

Let me talk about the minuses since others have already written down the pluses. I give it 7, which means it's a good drama and still worth my time.

Chimera is known to kill someone using an especially chemical formulation, which means the perpetrator must be extremely smart and a faculty of chemistry graduation..... ;
Chimera 1 line of victims are people from Seoryun group. I wonder why both police and Seo Hyun Tae think that the killer is just an ordinary mere employee and never check on their scientist. No YouTube or internet at that time. Where does he get that knowledge?

Second, I wonder why none of both from the past and present checking The Legend of Chimera itself. If they do, at least they'll get a clue of the perpetrator's gender.

Third, is the most frustrating.... how come they'll just believe that Hoo Kyung is Chimera 2 just because Jae Hwan finds some of her past YouTube videos, knowing that she's a chemical graduate, and comparing her face using a mask which happens to be similar to the perpetrator's in mask face on a very blurry CCTV???
And how come his team suddenly 180 degrees change and just easily trust him... after the whole 15 eps, they never sided with Jae Hwan? Jae Hwan can't even provide solid proof on Hoo Kyung. Coz, while Hee Jun who always caught on cam at the scenes, Hoo Kyung is very clean. Never caught on cam, leaves her fingerprints or DNA. How on earth do they believe in Jae Hwan.

By ending it like this, both the past and the present police are just the same, catching the bad guy, not by some solid evidence base, but assumption base.

I have 2 unanswered questions, while why Hee Jun has to wait for 35 years to come back to Korea is explained, but Hoo Kyung has to wait for 35 years for her revenge?
Why does Yon Bok, the ex-police who got severely burned by a book, get the worst punishment? Why does he have to die after suffering extreme pain from his burned injuries for days, while the other 4 can die instantly by BOM.

Other than that, I love this drama. I love that they choose the perpetrator is between the main character. I believe this one will be perfect if it gives the police team at least 2 episodes to investigate Hoo Kyung.

Lovely & Entertaining

So far it is very entertaining and who doesn’t love an entertaining show? The contestants are charming, lively and hot. The hosts don't interrupt the show too much, they show up just at the right time and their inputs are exactly what I'm thinking which makes the show very relatable. It's just 2 episodes so far but i have noticed a patern among the contestants. They're all going off on looks and they lose interest immediately. This makes me question if we are even gonna get any real couple out of this show?

Light, cute, easy watch

If you’re looking for a lakorn that is different and is a little lighter and fluffier than most lakorns then this drama is for you. There are no slap kisses, no evil mother in laws, no domineering male lead, no over the top crazy drama that makes you want to throw your tv across the room, and no long term couple separations. It’s an unusual lakorn that is lighthearted and funny. That’s not to say there’s no angst, sadness, or melodrama. It’s just that the sad or dramatic parts of the drama don’t last too long and there’s lots of really good comedy interspersed throughout. So let’s talk about what I liked and didn’t like.

What I liked:
The chemistry of the main leads was what made this drama work. Seeing the male lead try so hard to seduce his wife throughout a good deal of the drama was adorable (even though she’s sassy she’s shy about sex because she’s a virgin). He really nailed his pouting scenes (adorable) and his seductive scenes too. And I just want to thank the producers for all of the multiple gratuitous shirtless scenes. Those abs were a work of art (sigh).

And the way he would flex his pecs and make his chest jump when she stared at it was so cute! I loved the sassiness of the female lead. She always stood up for herself and was able to kick some butt if needed. I also liked that she wasn’t some poor needy girl off the streets. She was well educated from a good family and she was confident in herself. It was easy to like her personality. And it was pleasant to watch a drama that didn’t take itself too seriously. The comedy was top notch. I liked that even though there were evil characters doing bad things most issues got resolved rather quickly. There was angst and sorrow and bad guys pulling all types of stuff but it was never drawn out for too long.

What I didn’t like:
Even though I liked the female leads character and her sassiness, she was a bit too rough. She was always hitting the male lead for one reason or another and it was a little too much (though he usually deserved it because he didn’t understand women and didn’t respect her feelings.) I also didn’t like the crazy girl that was obsessed with the male lead. Why is there always a crazy female that’s been obsessed with the male lead her whole life in every drama?

And almost every time the male lead has never liked her or even given her the time of day yet she still obsesses over him. It’s so unrealistic and unoriginal. One other thing that I often complain about in romantic dramas is the kissing scenes. And yes, these kissing scenes were the typical lock your lips and stare at each other type of kisses. Not realistic at all.
Even though I loved the ending and how sweet it was, I wasn’t a fan of it turning into a musical for the last ten or so minutes. I’m sure most people loved it but it wasn’t my cup of tea. It was a little too cheesy for me.

Overall this was a very good drama. Lots of romance, great comedy, good plot, and just enough angst and drama to make it interesting without going over the top and stressing me out. It’s not perfect but it’s definitely worth watching.

The Journey towards liberation which started with a suitcase.

Lost in 1949 is set in a tumultuous Republican era in history of China when The Communists Party was set to liberate people from the tyrant rule of The Nationalist Party.

The drama begins with a woman, Huang Li Wen who suddenly come accross a suitcase which belongs to a Communist spy. She bumps into a man, Qiao Zi Cai resulting in the suitcases to be switched. Later she learns that her husband was a Communist spy and had died in a secret operation. Taken back by this sudden loss, Huang Li Wen decides to join the Communist Party as a spy. Thus begins her journey towards liberation.

The drama starts off as a cat and mouse chase between the spies and the Secret Service Agents. But at the end became story of sacrifice which led the country towards a new light.

Though the plot may seem quite common as in many Chinese dramas focusing on the Republican Chinese Period, but what draws our attention is the portrayal of the twin Qiao brothers by Chen Kun (Alloys Chen). Qiao Zi Cai and Qiao Li Jie are two brothers who are polar opposite but eventually they realise how they are quite similar to each other and without one the other cannot thrive. Their changing attitudes towards each other and the bond between them made something impossible to be possible.

The romance portrayed here is of a different and deeper dimension. It is more of the feeling kind rather than the describing-by-words kind of romance. If you came here solely for the Romance tag, you will obviously be a little disappointed. But if you hang on for a little bit you would obviously enjoy watching.

The drama ends with a open ending which is obviously acceptable for the plot. Though the ending is poignant but it is realistic. But I find Qiao Zi Cai's ending is not justified even after his sacrifice.

Though this drama is something which I accidentally came accross, but it was quite enjoyable. At some point it did get a little bit predictable, but I'm glad that I decided to hang on till the end as this drama turns out to be a hidden gem. From the Sanghai streets to the costumes, everything is just too well done.

Obviously this drama has its own flaws and you might find the plot to be not unique enough. But if you want to watch something realistic and heart touching, do give it a try. Also you can watch it if you are tired of watching dramas with cliches and want something out of the box.
Hope you enjoy! Do share your experience with me.

P.S. This was my first ever review in MDL. So it might not be satisfactory. But I'll try to improve.

DONT WATCH WHILE ITS STILL AIRING IF UR NOT A PATIENT PERSON

So i’ve watched all of available eps of this drama and man i was so amazed by how this drama succesfully turning me into a couch potato. Damn, the story is basically romeo and juliet bl ver in a modern times, but what made this drama great are the acting and how they directing it. It was so smooth and you can tell that they put much thought and considerate into this drama.

I also love the chemistry between Pat and Pran. They are have such cute and an HEALTHY relationship between them. I am so tired of any stupid misunderstanding that often happen in other drama that i’ve wathed before, and it actually can be easly resolve if they JUST TRY TO SITDOWN AND USE THEIR FUCKING MOUTH TO TALK! Like “Hey can i talk to u?” Said the boy “oh, im bussy right now” girl replied “oh okay then nevermind” and then later the girl was calling back and ask what just happened to the boy “hey what happened?” asked the girl “Oh nothing, all is good” HEHE THEN COMES THE STUPID CONFLICT JUST BECAUSW THE BOY DIDNT TELL THE GIRL WHATS HIS FUCKING PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. I usually will tthrow my laptop out of my window when i watch this kind of shit.

But thanks god it didnt happened in bud buddy, they know what their mouth function is so they talk and voilaa no shitty conflict.

Sighhhhh

Idk if I’ve watched entirely too many Kdrams that I can’t seem to really enjoy Cdramas because I keep comparing them. For some reason I can not enjoy the Cdramas that take place in modern times. Almost EVERYTHING annoys me especially the females. It seems like everything is overly exaggerated from the way they talk to the way they run off when being bullied, and even the level of “timidness” is overly exaggerated. Now I can binge watch Cdramas that takes place during the “costume period” all day and night but these modern Cdramas be too much. Anyway this particular drama was no different from the other Cdramas I’ve tried to watch. The FL was obviously annoying to me as well as almost everybody else. I just couldn’t enjoy it. I could tell it had potential but the over-exaggerations overshadowed the show for me. I really wish the creators of Cdramas would compare their “modern dramas” to the “costume period dramas” the only difference should obvious be the time period.

Must Watch for romance reality

This show will have you gripped. It's a perfect combination between romance and mystery. It's not too complex where you find it boring or can't understand anything, but will have you analyzing each charter and doubting yourself. Think your good at reading people, watch this to really test yourself. This show will show the true nature of humans is not all what meets the eye.

The characters are lovable and will have you relating to them or feeling sympathy. I would rewatch this again after knowing the results to see what you've missed in your guessing.

The music was really nice this season too. They were good well known songs and had me singing along. It also fit the mood of what was going on.

Homecha-Best drama ever

So it's really true when seonho said homecha is a healing drama, even bts is healing, photoshoot is healing, interview is healing, presscon is healing, script reading is healing, reading reviews from others is healing, everyone is healing and this film has good storyline, well-written, good ensemble cast, powerful acting, and homcha is really one of the best kdrama in 2021. I used to read somewhere that " So yes, Hometown Cha Cha Cha really enveloped me in its world, I cared for all of the characters and their stories. There were times I laughed, times I cried and times I just enjoyed my time with them. Even the second lead was nicely written and it was so refreshing to see everything develop in such a mature and civil way. I also think this was the first time we saw a female lead’s previous boyfriend without him being part of the main story. Progress everyone! We are getting somewhere." Yes, I agree. I love Homecha so much, i love KSH and SMA too because they play their character so well. I hope to see KSH and SMA receive more awards with HomeCha because they deserve it

Game Like Advertisement Youtube Movie

This interactive film "AORB" is part of a campaign by Cass a korean beer brand to send the message "we support your decision". The campaign is about encouraging young people to challenge the existing system and make their own decisions without worrying what others would think about them. AORB as the first ever interactive youtube movie creatively use our end screen function and this creative attempt has diversified the contents offered through YouTube. It was not easy to act out different plots in a short period of time because there were multiple stories for one movie, but the plots and the casts executed it well. The whole main concept of dystopian, the narration, acting, and also the setting are all awesome one for advertisement class. We only need to spend less than 15 minutes to experience the story. So pick it up and watch it!

Inspiring and Uplifting, the Great Outweighs the Stumbles

Start-Up is an inspiring story that's a realistic, fun story that is very enjoyable to watch with a few shortcomings.

Story:
The storyline about Sandbox and the main casts' journey of starting a business and expanding is very inspiring and enjoyable to watch. Everything was done so well, but one thing I wish could've been done better was the romance. By the time Nam Do San's charm was revealed, Han Ji Pyeong had managed to take over until he sometimes seemed more like the main lead, but otherwise, Start-Up's story was uplifting and enjoyable to watch.

Acting/Cast:
The acting was great. At times, Nam Joo Hyuk's acting wasn't as up to par compared to Kim Seon Ho's, all the actors did really well. Nam Joo Huk and Suzy had amazing chemistry and so did all of Samsan Tech. Suzy and Kang Han Na also had really great chemistry as sisters. Seo Dal Mi's family also had such great chemistry.
Overall, the chemistry of this cast was out of the roof with superb acting.

Music:
The OST for Start-Up was one of the best OSTs I've ever heard. "Future" by Red Velvet is definitely one of my favorite songs ever and while there are too many to list, the rest of the OST's songs are amazing as well.

All in all, Start-Up had some shortcomings, mainly how the romance was written out, but the cast's superb chemistry and acting and the rest of the well-written story outweighed it. Start-Up shows the story of three friends running a start-up. They realize they need help as they try to make the most of the scarce opportunities in front of them. This story shows them finally succeeding, through many hardships. I recommend you watch this very uplifting and inspiring story. You won't regret it :)

This drama is one of a kind - it takes the entirety of Korean society's standards of beauty and social norms and completely stomps all over them in a fragrant, pink fashion. I had many predictions for how this drama would end when I started watching it, and this drama went against all of them and presented the audience with something so incredibly empowering for women who may not fit a society's harsh standards of beauty or lack confidence in themselves. While the message of this drama was a lot more wholesome than other similar dramas, the storytelling was a bit clumsy, which is why it didn't receive a very high rating for me in the end. While the overall story was quite entertaining, 16 episodes were just too much for a simple story like this. The last few episodes of the drama were filled with Min Jae Hee going back and forth between wanting to be with Seo E Do and not feeling confident enough to proudly date him, resulting in her hurting his feelings as two separate people over and over again. There's no trope I hate more than the "pretending like I hate your guts so you start hating me and our separation is less painful for you because I don't deserve you/ I'm trying to protect you" trope. Kdrama writers, I beg you, please STOP. It's not cute. It's just annoying and a cheap tactic to increase the episode count of your show. All in all, this drama has a cute message and was full of really wholesome and extremely funny moments, however, I'd recommend to anyone watching it to be very liberal with the speed-up/fast forward button(s) in the latter half of the drama unless you enjoy driving yourself mad with endless, pointless conflict.

First and foremost, I had to create a simple synopsis for the story since the one I got was either too long or didn't fit the story at all. So, if I miss anything, I am sorry. It's simple and short in a sense.

Now on to the story, I am on a roll for Thai Dramas and this one also came from a Youtube Random. It looked interesting from the video I saw and immediately watched the drama while also being lost because this is what happen when I don't read the synopsis before watching. But, I managed. But, this was an interesting drama despite it's looks. I only watched 2 episodes currently and it felt like I watched many already, one being it was almost 2 hours per episode and another being it was cut into 9 parts per episode.

The story was interesting and the portrayal of character was great. I am totally immersed in trying to find out what's going on in the moment and what's gonna happen because the characters are unpredictable. What can you say when one actor is acting two different characters at different times? I get confused at times. But still, this is absolutely worth the watch.

The fantasy part caught my attention when I watched it because well right from the start, fantasy appeared but then, the characters themselves caught my attention. It's interesting to see how they move along with the story and sometimes how absurd things are because in a fantasy drama, I love absurd.

First things first, let me state something about myself. I am afraid of ghosts and the like, I never watch the acclaimed horror movies but for some reason, I was pulled into watching this series despite knowing it is related to ghosts and comes from Thailand who is pretty great at their horror presentations. Also, it might be obvious but I picture a drama to follow what its synopsis is saying but only one or two sentences were correct. Therefore, I tweaked the synopsis and added the necessary information.

So, not even halfway through the first episode, I was greeted with a supernatural event and damn I was spooked especially since I was viewing it alone in my room. I covered one of my eyes to see through the whole episode. But then, I was able to manage and found the series to be pretty intriguing and has similarities to one of the Western Ghost-related series that I have watched before in the female lead's role in the story. But, I found that the first episode was to ensure that the viewer had the capability to continue into the story by upping the horror element. Since after that, I can manage other ghost encounters in the story.

On the cast, I enjoyed watching the leads of the drama but well, what else can I do since they're pretty much the only ones who are in the hospital. Every time a case occurs, it is always the same doctors and nurses who handle them. Others who came are like cameos. You don't really notice them there as their presence was just that weak. Even still, I still enjoyed the acting performance given by the leads.

By the way, there is a love triangle but it is not obvious enough to affect the story negatively in any way and I like it. My ship kept sailing all the way to the end and I love every moment of it. I am in love with the main leads. Their interactions were cute and casual and most importantly, pretty direct without even revealing their feelings. The male lead had a one-tracked mind and so did she, in the sense that they do not see others but the other. Their love story kept developing and never had a moment where it could have fallen. Their chemistry was just too good that I did not find any fault in their acting. I could rewind their scenes many times and never get bored. They are just fun to watch.

One of the things I don't quite like is the abundant use of product placements throughout the whole series to the point where I go, "Oh, here we go again. Another PPL... Hmm..." You cannot go an episode without two to three PPL scenes. Another thing, I don't like about it is how effective it is since it made me crave for what they are having. Hehehe..... There are even some scenes where the PPL was not that smooth that it seems odd to be having it suddenly there in the scene. Putting PPL is one thing but to make it so obvious is another one thing. Everytime, the PPL scene occured, they would either blur the surroundings or zoom to the item. It is like ads all the time. I am okay with PPL where it is not that obvious that they are promoting it, being that for a drink, they have it or something. Or a scene which perfectly suitable for it occurs. But well.... ANYWAYS, I am probably exaggerating it a bit here but surely I can say, the PPL only disturbs a few minutes of your time watching the story.

In conclusion, go ahead and watch this drama. It is simple, cliche and all of the above but still overall a great drama to watch. I am definitely excited for another drama from Pae after watching this series seeing how good he was in his role and most definitely, I loved this drama despite the kinda rushed ending because they are pretty cheesy that it is enough to win my heart. Come on and Let's Drama-Watching!!! Hehehe....

IT'S A MUST WATCH!!!

I cannot explain how good this is from the music to the story to the chemistry. It would not be an exaggeration to say its the best J-drama i've ever watched. This has raised my expectations so high I have not watched another J-drama on this level ever again. WATCH IT YOU WON't REGRET!!

Skip this part if you do not want any spoilers.

This are a few of my favorite things about this show.
- First although it is relatively light it has a little bit of sadness (someone dies, not the MC though)

- How when the twin sister of Tendo sensei's ex came back she was not toxic about liking him

- His past with his ex girlfriend was not too dragged

- That one breakfast scene is one of the best scenes i've seen in a tv show before
