A series that deals with complicated issues that arise in real-life relationships

Overall, an engaging, entertaining series well supported by a cast with great chemistry!

I really appreciated that the series dealt with issues that arise in real life - people and relationships changing as they grow and enter different stages of life. I appreciate that the series didn't shy away from dealing with difficult topics like infidelity, and changing personalities and circumstances. It does end on a hopeful note though, that even as we grow and evolve, some things will always be there for us at the end of the day.

Good until episode 14 then it just goes...

I was really enjoying this drama even though there really isn't much substance to it at all. Like many dramas, it started to drop off by the later episodes.

Seon-gyeol seemed so eccentric in the beginning and I was like, ‘this is way too over the top!’ But then it’s explained that he actually has a condition and has lost the ability to control his compulsiveness.

I really liked Oh-Sol’s character. She was so bright, fun and happy.

I liked the cleaning crew and thought they all gelled well together.

I was low-key confused why Seon-gyeol and Oh-Sol suddenly liked each other. Their romance literally bloomed from nowhere. They just kinda fumbled their way into it and she supposedly helped him not be so compulsive with his cleanliness? I couldn’t see the attractiveness from either sides because they are literally polar opposites.

I had second male lead syndrome for a while there. Towards the end of the show I was thinking that Oh-Sol may even end up with the second male lead. I’m not sure what I was thinking ‘cause in all dramas they end up with the main guy.

It annoyed me how she completely went cold turkey on Seon-gyeol just because his grandfather was involved in the accident resulting in her mother’s death. Being reasonable, I understand that it would have been a shock for her when she found out, but why did she leave it two years to finally start over with Seon-gyeol, and with her dad’s permission? Things must work differently in South Korea, but literally, as soon as her dad gave her the go ahead she ran.

Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get to see the outcome of Oh-Sol’s friend and her brother.

Besides the whole situation with Seon-gyeol’s grandfather and Oh-Sol’s mother, there really wasn’t anything deeper than that.

It was such a cliché how it ended with them being like, 'Oh, the name is Clean with passion for now.' And then they all just turn to the camera.

-E

This is my first time writing a review on a drama so if this is all over the place that is probably why.
Let me get this straight. All the reviews that says that this is trash are right. You do not watch this to have a good time.
I am here to warn you .It has all the annoying tropes:

1/ the jerk, petty, childish ML with no redeeming qualities (I wonder if they actually tried to make him a tsundere but forgot to give him a soft side),

2/ the doormat FL that likes the ML from the beginning for no freaking reason

All my teenage years I spent reading shoujo manga with doormat FL and cold ML that doesn’t gives a shit about them and treat them badly but they still like him anyway didn’t prepare me for this nonsense.

3/ There is a lot of misunderstanding throughout the drama and No communication skills whatsoever between them.

4/ The psycho ex GF that still likes the ML. pretends to be nice in front of him and he doesn’t realize that she is a snake until the end that makes u want to strangle her.

Oh also do not expect the FL to be smart and confident and to have logic just because she has good grades and is a talented programmer .of course not this is a Chinese drama she has to be dumb to fall in love with the ML.

It has two of my favorites tropes: cross dressing and fake marriage but it was executed horribly. The plot dragged a lot.

Why did I watch this? You may ask .well, when this was announced, I had high hopes. I like both the leads and the story sounded interesting enough. I wanted to like this. I will never get excited for a Chinese drama again. I got my lesson.

If for some reason after reading this, you still want to watch it; my advice for you is to go with zero expectations .no except the worst.

Skip the scenes that u don’t like. Especially, when his ex-GF appears .trust me you will not miss much of the plot and maybe you will be somewhat entertained by this.

The only good thing about this drama is his sister and the cat momo .

the romance ruins it

i actually enjoyed so much the comedic moments of this drama. edan lui's face acting is genius. the plot is beautifully absurd and that's the magic of it. then we get to the romance... what romance? two people being hopelessly in love with a man that has literally no interest in neither of them is a great scenario for comedy, but then he allegedly falls for one of them? sure, law of proximity or whatever. so why does it look like he's being held hostage? the lack of romantic chemistry between them is actually painful to watch. okay, everyone has a different "love language", but tin had more believable feelings towards the girl he was too quick to reject than with the guy he's dating.

kk is my favorite character in this, i actually want to see what happnes to him, but the cringe i feel from the main plot makes it impossible for me to continue this drama. this is the first version of ossan's love i've watch and it might be the only one i'll be watching. i've read the romance is better on the japanese versions, but honestly even if the acting is way better, i don't really see the reason for it to even happen, let the man be straight.

I watched because of Janice and Steven.

This drama has a good start, but the ending seemed to be forced and kind of a disappointment.
The start of this drama gave those sweet, heart fluttering, romance-comedy type of drama's feeling.
The story was well built in the first half of the drama. However, after the second half of the drama, it began to rapidly fall down.

I kind of had high hopes due to Janice Wu and Steven Zhang as the lead. They did have good chemistry in this drama, and well-act. However the second half of the drama's plot kind of ruins everything.

My patience end in the almost last scene of the drama, when LYB did some kind of performance.I really don't get the point.

Almost Perfect

Even though this isn't my usual drama's genre, I hereby said that this drama is one of the kind.
Really enjoy the story and the drama production. Big shout to not only the cast but also all the team behind this drama. It is well thought and well made. Every cast can portray the character well, every scene was very vivid (exclude that bomb scene which killed Dr Xu), even the music (especially Guang Mang) really gave me some goosebumps.

my only complaint is the ending which seemed to be a bit rush, which gave that all anticlimax in an episode. I feel they just want to "Wrap it fast" and kill every villain in a blow, which is less than 20 mins. Kind of disappointed but also glad at the same time.

Just watch the drama and don't give up halfway. I know the FL seemed to be a jerk first, but in the end, she redeemed herself.

Additional notes:
I wasn't steven's fan before, but I have to say he really did a great job in this drama, really love the character of CYZ. Elvira did a great job too to portray the female lead who had a very difficult personality and character, to begin with.

Had potential but lacks character growth

The story is somewhat okay. However the characters weren’t well written specially the FL. Good thing the whole series is pretty short or else I might have dropped it with the annoyance of the female leads character who is just a pretty face and nothing else. Some scenes are unbelievably awkward and doesn’t make sense. The male lead is the only one carrying the scenes when they are together. It’s as if the female lead was just a prop. I have not read the manga yet but I hope it is not as bad as this adaptation.

Life is a race we need to finish, but it's okay to take a break.

Highly recommended!

This drama is so refreshing and unique in its own way. Be it the pace of the drama, the storyline, the actors or even the topics that the drama revolves around. (Also can we talk about the aesthetics please!?)

The male lead is intriguing, complex and an unreliable character as in, he himself doesn't know what he is like until he unfolds his story with us. He looks naive and weird but in fact, he is just indifferent to things that normally extract a reaction out of us which adds to the humour in the whole drama. He knows a thing or two about how the world is, never hesitates to do what he wants to do, respects the people around him and holds a special place for his juniors.

The female lead (played by Shin Se Kyung and honestly might be her best role so far!) has a rather unique job and resonates with most of us (international fans) and creates a feeling of empathy and we can relate to the problems and issues one goes through while subtitling or translating things. She is soft but mentally fierce and strong, determined and hesitant at the same time but never does her inner conflict seem annoying but rather motivating.

They are cute together on screen, Ebe it before and after they get together and honestly, have one of the healthiest relationships I have ever seen in dramas. It warms your heart, makes you smile and by the end you are looking at them with heart eyes.

The second male lead (Kang Tae Oh my god, he's a rising star!) is a clingy teen-like art student but guess what? He has layers in him which makes him so much more interesting. He makes you curious, just like the second female lead was, and pulls you in his charms. He is an amazing addition to the whole drama, giving the right push to lessons and messages conveyed.

The second female lead (and Sooyoung has won my heart!) is a girl boss, with a little stereotyped fashion and personality but even then the writers have layered her character with curiosity, naiveness, sweet and gentle undertones and straight-forwardness. She is the right spice to everything, creates the mood for you to indulge in the whole drama.

The side characters— all have great elements and stories that make the whole drama worth watching. Be it SFL's sibling relationship which totally makes your heart pain and jump with joy at the same time, or the filming crew and impromptu curse battle they have on sets. The dialogues and script are in fact very funny and the actors never overdo it to add to the humour. The story unfolds slowly without major climaxing moments which really heals you throughout. The cinematography is insane. It is aesthetic, very calming and makes you lean back on your chair to just enjoy the visuals. The OSTs are good too, perfectly suiting for the drama.

By the look of it, every character is weird, imperfect, and a little crazy which makes the subtle messages of self-love, self-worth and "life is a race we all need to finish" reach us with more impact and leaves you smiling.

I watched this mostly because it was Nam Da Reum first male lead role in a drama and let me say, his acting, once again, doesn't disappoint. Though it was a web drama, his acting makes me look forward to the day where he's the male lead in a longer drama, where each episode is around 1 hour.

The strengths of this drama is the acting from our leads and side characters. Every character perform well overall. Also the OSTs of this drama, for me, are an easy add to my music playlist. I enjoy listening to every song that was played in this drama.

Story plot wise, it's average but somewhat lacking. A lot of plot holes, unanswered questions, certain characters don't have their conclusion and left open ended. It's to the point where I started to lose interest in what actually was going on story wise. I mean there were even a few episodes towards the second half of the drama, where I felt like nothing significant happened and it was just a waste of episodes. So much potential to give us a full understanding on why issues were occurring and maybe for us viewers connect with other characters that this drama gave screen time to, but at last, none of this happened due to the short time length per episode for this web drama.

It's a one time watch kind of drama for me. I mean if you don't have anything to watch, go for it. It's short, has great OST music, & best of all, a great male lead and female lead, who both show their great acting talent.

An Enjoyable Watch

Things that I love about this, is the simple plot, and the humor. It doesn’t feel like a chore to watch. I didn’t fast forwarded once, and that is saying something for me. Not a lot of thinking involved in watching this, it just feels kind of relaxing to watch. A perfect blend of humor, and serious subject matter. It is a simple love story with great acting, with a main love story, and a couple of side love stories thrown in. It started out as a 10 for me, but the last two episodes were kind of, I wouldn’t call it disappointing, but just frustrating. There was one long Dominos add, they fit into the story, that was very obvious. Also, they finally showed what Hong Du-Shik’s secret was. I won’t give it away, but let’s just say it was nothing for him to feel guilty about, nothing was specifically his fault. The ending wrapped everything up nicely too. I finally found out who won the lottery! Nothing left to guess about. This is a definite watch!

Do You Believed in Reincarnation?

'The life is short like a dream, how often can one enjoy himself if it is not for my one and only love, Shi Yi who deserve my lifelong pursuit' - this is the poem handwritten by Zhou Shen Chen in his wedding invitation card to show his sincerity in marrying his beloved.

The one who understands will truly enjoy the stories. I love every details they tried to incorporate into the story to link and portrait between the prequel and the sequel. Similarly to One & Only, FL love to ML is Love at First Sight. Contrary to FL, ML love and affection towards FL is developed, accumulated and gets stronger by days. FL first word in both the drama is also Zhou Shen Chen. She still loves turquoise blue, books, poems, pomegranate, lotus flower, sleeps on the floor to be with her beloved, enjoys touching the nose bridge of the ML like O&O.

Whatever can't be done and incomplete in O&O is finally completed in F&E. Their love, their marriage, the handwritten poem 'Shanglin Fu' on the wall.

I wonder if Mei Xing is the reincarnation of Liu Zi Xing (Crown Prince in O&O) as a repayment from his previous life. The suicidal and loss of Cui Shi Yi in O&O has made him realized and regretted his previous life?

leads you on

i really cannot believe this plot was approved, and i feel bad for the cast that is associated with this show because wow it really is bad. the plot twist revealed the most shocking form of manipulation i have ever seen in a show. the woman was quite literally a victim of Stockholm Syndrome. furthermore, it was not only the woman being manipulated, but the audience as well. i had to drop the show because it made me feel sick to my stomach. so please, do not watch this show! in the first few episodes it seems all cute or whatever but it is not! DO NOT WATCH IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME!

Far surpassed my expectations

I came here for the visuals / eyecandies of YY and DLRB and I did not regret it. This drama far surpassed my expectations.

When I watched the trailer, I did not know it actually consists of them playing wzry in the first half of the drama. If I knew from the start, I might not even have started the show. There are many dramas that revolves around gaming but they did not get me as excited as this one did. I literally wanted to jump up from my seat. clap and cheer for them while watching their friendly match. However my mum was sleeping and I could only hold my excitement.

DLRB's character was lovable. She was not a spoilt and arrogant famous celebrity who let fame get to her head. She was so down to earth but also radiate elegance at the same time. I loved how witty her comments was and how she jokes around and disses the male lead. Even though she likes him, she doesn't act like a infatuated little girl. She acts really cute and innocent but when it's needed, she's strong and mature, being able to stand up for herself and is really eloquent.

I felt the struggles of YY's character so much. When he thinks he's already at age 30 but did not manage to accomplish anything, struggling between following his dreams or chasing money. Underneath his cold and seemingly confident personality, he feels inferior. The story gave us a smart, good looking and talented male lead chasing his dreams but his life wasn't a bed of roses, neither is he perfect.
I fell in love with the 2 main characters and their interactions with one another.

The OST of this drama was really good and it brought me so many kinds of emotions throughout the drama.

This has become one of my favourite shows and I would definitely rewatch this again multiple times.

Good direction but could be better!

I appreciate the new direction kdramas have been taking. Older dramas mostly pitted girls against girls and villainized a female role, and while I still enjoy those shows, Mine's story really tried to show a new type of story. The girl your husband was cheating on you with may not be a total devil, and your husband is the issue. That being said, Lee Hyun‑wook's character was so charismatic and handsome and it was hard to hate him. I feel like the story was a bit unrealistic in the sense that Lee Bo Young's character straight up takes a week before deciding to divorce her husband. While objectively a good decision, in real life it would be a more complex, emotional situation. The writer didn't really show this complexity until the final episode (which I appreciated...) and alas this was the biggest shortcoming to the story in my eyes. Lee Hyun-wook was definitely a complex character and I believe the writer and Lee Hyun-wook portrayed this very well. I pitied him and really just wanted Lee Bo Young to give him a hug. Random but the housekeeper annoyed me so much lol. Kim Seo‑hyung woooof. Such an incredible performance, so charismatic. I cannot see any flaws in who she is as a character - calm and collected, and accepting of her identity, AND such a capable womans. She is 100% carrying my rating for this entire drama. (Lee Bo young is also an amazing actress...)

I saw some comments where netizens talked about what the overall message of the drama was supposed to be...and I admit the writer did try to talk about some important things. I guess for me my feelings were more prominent and what I felt from this story was 1. how perfect Kim Seo-hyung's character was ... sorta inspires me ahaha. 2. how complex a person is, and how important it is to give grace to others. One line that stuck with me from the drama was that if there was even one person in support of you, you could live on. But for Ji-yong, he had no one.

Go, watch it!

As soon as I started this series, I was regretting that why did I not watch this last year. As I was watching, I was cheesing out so hard, throughout all the episodes, literally. Ofc, I cried too, but, man, so glad I watched this today. Better late than never I guess, lol.

Anywho, jokes apart, firstly, I did not feel like I was watching a BL tbh. No offense to other BL's, I love them too, but, this was like a breath of fresh air and definitely going on my rewatch list. This drama really depicted all the feelings, raw emotions, you know. Like, even though they were apart and literally courted each other via video calls, I was fangirling like crazy. Their chemistry, their acting, just, soo good. Top notch if you can say. I was giddy and so hyped up like, all the time.
Also, I personally, hate the "Baby" thing, but OH MY GOD! caireel have made me rethinking my preferences, lol. It did not made me cringe at all, in fact, it got me more giddy. Felt like I was third wheeling the whole time, ksksksks.

This drama depicted a lot of things, but personally, some amazing things I liked were the way they focused on mental health, acknowledgment and acceptance of one's own mistakes and forgiveness. Also, loved the supporting female character. Big shoutout to Pearl. She carried the show and did most of the excited screaming and fan-girling for us, lol.

This series has everything (maybe not for some if y'all are into skinship). But for me, I do enjoy a great storyline with amazing depiction of emotions. I am telling you all, I literally forgot sometimes, many actually, that I am watching a series and not just some real life love story of 2 people.

IT YOU HAVEN'T WATCH THIS YET, WATCH IT. YOU WON'T REGRET IT, I PROMISE!
