Excited for Season 2
I just finished this one and again I was not disappointed this one was crazy. When the top opp thought they were in control they were talking reckless that was hilarious! I have no complaints once again, the ending left it open, and now that I know there’s a season 2, I’m excited. Had season 2 not been announced then the ending could have dived more into them, but since season 2 is going the expectation is it will pick up where one left off. Hopefully, Lady Wuren & Prosecutor Gu will have larger more developed roles as well! Was this review helpful to you?

Healthy Partnership vs. Conditional Love
Many People miss the point of this drama. The drama isnt about judging the MC and her weight, its about a Healthy Partnership vs. Conditional Love.In high school, MC was a beautiful slim girl and known for ehr beauty. But 15 years later, she has gained a lot of weight and become "overweight".
How she gained weight is totally relatable, as ive been in her exact situation too. The stress of everyday life: work, relationships and much more leading to stress eating. Ive struggled with it too and still do. And with MC, she would eat her stress away, which after years and years led to her gaining weight.
NOW, THIS IS WHAT THE DRAMA IS ACTUALLY ABOUT:
Her boyfriend has been together with her since high school and fell for the pretty her. As she gained weight, he grew resentment towards her and the way she looked. And this is where the drama conveys the differences of Healthy Partnership vs. Conditional Love:
Her boyfriend loves MC conditionally. He was always sweet to her and stayed with her, but he would treat her bad because quietly he had started resenting her for the way she looks. He only loved her when she would look good and fulfill his expectations of her.
Enter the ML, which is supposed to be the opposite of the boyfriend, who shows unconditional love towards her. Instead of being mean and passive aggressive to her, he treats her like a normal person and loves her for her personality and who she is as a person. He points out her overweight issues, but not because her aesthetic bothers him, but because he is genuinely worried about her health, as her diet was like 90% sweets and she wasnt active. Instead of telling her off though, he tells her she should change her lifestyle for the sake of her health BUT together. He will go in the trenches with her: Same diets, cook together, work out together, live healthy together. Its a GENUINE PARTNERSHIP. And even if she is overweight, he likes her because she is who she is.
Realising the show is about this contrast of how a healthy and unhealthy relationship handle change (and its not necessarily about weight, you can insert/think of any change that can happen in a relationship here. The show just used weight as its subject to deliver the message, but its universal.) made me appreciate the show a lot and im sure it will help a lot of people navigate their own relationships and their problems better.
Love this show!

Another Banga
This one was so interesting there were so many twists and turns that I truly didn’t know what was ultimately going to happen. I absolutely loved how she stayed true to her oath even though she risked exposure. These shows are deep, and very engaging. Again, I would recommend to anyone. I loved the special as well, just wish it was longer and contained more details about some of the other characters. Was this review helpful to you?
New Pastime
This show was my introduction to this genre, and now I’m addicted. I thoroughly enjoyed this show. If I had one tiny, small complaint it would be that if there is not going to be a sequel then I would have liked to have had some closure with the characters. With so many episodes for me I grew attached to all the characters, so I wanted to know what happened to them in a 2-to-5-year future span. Besides that, in my humble opinion this was excellent and I recommend to anyone. Was this review helpful to you?

I love this drama so much
because of yun weishan. I've grown to like Esther and I finally understand what it means when they say that prejudice in one's heart is like a mountain. Many people judge Esther is too one's side and I used to be one of them. I didnt watch her show before but I dare to say she can't act by looking at many comments without bothering watch the drama. while watching this drama. I realize I only cried two time and each time all relate to yun weishan. one she eats the porridge while crying and other one is when she cried for her sister. what's an amazing performance.I have so many characters that mean the world to me but yun weishan is number one white moonlight in my heart. She's not the most beautiful and not the perfect character but I just love ah yun the most.
Many audiences failed to understand her and only see her as a love struck villain that betray her own organization. They failed to see the pain and conflict beneath her calm exterior. Just read some comments here. Most of them don't understand yun weishan even a bit. They almost don't understand the plot of the drama yet dare to shade the characters .

Great CGI, Weak Emotional Impact
The East Palace is a good drama with amazing visuals. The CGI, action scenes, cinematography, and acting of everyone (except fl) are all very well done. The suspense is also built nicely, which kept me interested till the end.
The best part of the drama for me was the baby Geomeoksalli. It was ugly but somehow so cute. 😭 Every time it appeared, I kept hoping it wouldn't die. Its little whimpering sounds and eyes made me feel more emotional than any other character.
The drama is labelled as horror, but I don't think it's scary at all. I enjoyed watching it, but it never made me feel strongly about anything.
I also felt the female lead lacked the main character aura.
It felt like the creators focused more on the visual fx than the story.
The ending wasn't satisfying either. There were too many unanswered questions. How did Gu cheon come back? How did he survive the mother Gwi-mae? His past? Since there's no Season 2, those questions will probably stay unanswered. (and tbh, I am not even curious to know)
the visual fx are really good like 9/10,
if I rate the story it's more of 6/10. they were just trying to save the despicable, ungrateful king.
the story and emotional impact weren't as strong. I don't like saying this because the production quality is excellent, but I do think the drama is a little overhyped.

AI intro, bad CGI, no chemistry
Struggling 😂 The story sounds promising, but the editing and directing are a little too much for me. So many close-ups, random tonal changes. Ai intro. Some bad cgi scenes. Don’t feel the chemistry between main leads. Also feel the costumes and overall production look cheaper than expected, with a few saying it resembles a low-budget mini-drama
Byeee dropping

Great drama
Overdo is honestly getting better and better! 👏 The pacing is so good—fast, engaging, and not dragged out at all. The visuals are beautiful, and the cast really brings the story to life. Every episode makes me want to keep watching. Definitely one of those dramas that gets more addictive as it goes! 🔥❤️The story has so many twists and emotional moments that it keeps me invested. Zhang Linghe and Wang Churan look absolutely stunning together, and their chemistry is 🔥. The Republican-era setting, costumes, music, and overall atmosphere give the drama such a distinct feel. I’m already emotionally attached to these characters and just want to keep watching!

Meh
I really wanted to like Love for You, but it just didn’t work for me. The pacing feels slow, and some parts of the story are unnecessarily dragged out. The chemistry also didn’t feel as convincing as I expected, so I found myself losing interest as the episodes went on. Just meh. Better drama out there. Was this review helpful to you?
Decent start (3-4 episodes maybe), then it becomes the usual slop
Maybe this is going to be a short review, mostly because I forgot how it all started. The specifics I mean. Yeah, it was THAT "amazing".Visuals. It looks good. Even a couple of some very, very nice shots.
Audio. The usual sound design, but with more soundtracks and less silly sfx. And that was good. Or maybe it would be fair to say that the sound design was better than the usual k-drama thing we get nowadays.
Decent editing, for the most part, because we have a lot of manipulative editing too. The pacing is ok, I guess, the usual stuff. The world-building is meh.
Good casting, they feel like "real people", not just "actors playing a role". For the most part, obviously. Because there are some wood planks too, for example that purple-haired surfer.
The story is meh. Decent premise, but with the same trope of over-qualified people.
As usual, the biggest problem lies within the script. For the first few episodes, the characters feel real. Then it starts to go crazy with over-the-top drama. Oh, sorry. With "real life problems that people MIGHT stumble upon". Very forced problems that serve as plot dragging, to fill the airing time. Every time there might be some progress, a NPC will say (or write) something that'll make the FL have crazy ideas, and crazy monologues too, obviously. Or she'll avoid a direct, normal conversation, just because. Same for the other one. Basically, lots and lots of nonsense meant to create drama, aka plot contrivances. By ep 8-9 it goes completely off-trail. Secrets spilled and weird reactions to it; in regards to the second couple, the characters react in a way that its not real if we consider what we find out (the "truth") later, but when we see it for the first time, they all act in theme with whats happening, when the correct way (knowing what we know later) should've been "wtf its wrong with you? what are you talking about?"; FL goes from chill & cool vibe in the first episodes to "I know I'm not making any sense even to myself, but thats how I feel now" vibes. You know, that red flag for which a gf becomes an ex-gf (or should). Again, all just for fake drama. FL acts like a 16 yo and goes "I feel one way one second, another way the next. Even I can't keep up with my own feelings" (yes, again, I'm not repeating myself; its a different scene.. great writing as you can see), and the scrip supposedly makes ML (and us) sympathetic (or should I say simp-athetic) and bear with it, "I'll keep waiting", while our obvious reaction should be "No, bro! Run from crazy! Consider yourself lucky to have found out so soon! Run and don't look back!" *sigh* And, as usual, the ending was boring and dragging. Or maybe it just felt like that because of the script. Anyway.
The romance, the main selling point, is just a forced drama roller coaster. Maybe some kind of chemistry between those two, sure. No chemistry for the 2nd couple (mostly because of his bad acting). The comedy is meh, sometimes it works, sometimes is just fake stuff, to force something in regards to the couple (like her praising him, but then getting shy and bad-mouthing him just as he appears behind, so a "misunderstanding" occurs).
Anyway, you get the gist. It gets a rating of 5. Before writing this review I had the idea that it was somewhat better but remembering all its flaws just now, it made me drop some points. Whatever good stuff was happening in the first 3-4 episodes, it all becomes null later. No re-watch value.
Have a lovely evening.

Very Good Show
I just finished watching Personal Taste, and it was such a lovely drama! The chemistry between the leads was amazing, the comedy was genuinely funny, and the romance was sweet and heartwarming. If you're new to K-dramas, I would definitely recommend this as one of your first Lee Min-ho dramas. The first drama I watched with him was Boys Over Flowers, so it was nice to see him in a different role.
Throughout the show, I felt bad for the female lead because her best friend cheated with her boyfriend. It was heartbreaking to see everything she went through. I also found it very sweet that Jeon Jin-ho stayed by her side and supported her, even though they were complete strangers at first.
Overall, Personal Taste is a fun romantic comedy with lovable characters, great chemistry, and plenty of heartwarming moments. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light and enjoyable K-drama.

A great drama based on the life of a real historical figure
Historical documents tell very little about this magnificent character but the drama was so amazingly written that you could easily imagine that something like this could have happened.I really liked it. The characters were believable and stayed true to themselves throughout the whole drama, the plots and consequences were convincing and the romance developed naturally and nicely.
This would have been drama with 10 points but there some minor things that made me give the lower score. I won't list them all, but
there was a lot of cooking and a lot of cheming, the obstacles semes to follow a pattern, way too many episodes ended on a close-up of Jang Geum looking surprised or desperate, from time to time, the music was overly dramaticand and the ending felt a little rushed, and it was unrealistic for her to perform the operation alone first time ever and declare it a success only a few minutes after closing the patient up.
Overall, it was an amazing drama and well worth the time I spent watching it.

The show is fake. You and I are real.
WOAAAAHHHH!! I was really not expecting that ending. I had read a comment on here a while ago that said to pay attention to both story lines because they were important, and I had that in the back of my head while continuing the series. I just didn't expect FC/GZ and ZX/ZZ to both be real couples. I loved how the aspect ratio changed to differentiate the movie and the actors. Everything about this show was truly amazing and I will be rewatching this in the future with my new knowledge of FC/GZ. I will miss seeing new episodes every Friday & Saturday, but I'm excited to see what the future holds for these amazing actors Ollie and Shuyuan! Was this review helpful to you?

darker premise, but too much circling
Overall: 50 short episodes, vertical style. Aired on Lezhin Snack app (5 episodes per day for free by watching ads, except the last 5 which was super annoying)Content Warnings: rapes (off screen, not between the MLs), manipulation, drugging, kidnapping, beaten up
What I Liked
- different premise
- visuals
- acting
Room For Improvement
- the journalist could have easily video or audio recorded something really early???, the plot circled a lot
- they needed more time spent in the past, I was confused why 1 character allegedly disliked the other character so much
- several scenes were too dark

SERIESNYA BAGUS BANGET PARAH!!!
Sumpah jd salah satu series dengan plot dan karakter yg gua SUKA banget. bkn cmn itu bahkan bnyk poin plus lainnya: mulai dari plotnya yg bagus bngt (tipe yg maju mundur tp sangat berkesinambungan satu sama lain, jdnya sebab akibatnya jls), ditambah temanya yg relateble dgn kehidupan saat ini (gambaran jatuh bangunnya sebuah hubungan dan pembentukan sebuah usaha), OSTnya juga masuk banget yg ngebuat momentnya jd lbh menyentuh dan bikin terbawa suasana, karakter dan akting yg TOP dibawakan oleh mereka yg jujur membuat gua merasakan sendiri kesulitan dan konflik yg mereka hadapi (gua jg suka bgt penggambaran hubungan trio namsan yg saling ada dan klop satu sama lain, ditambah dinamika percintaan segitiga sang dal-mi, dan terakhir yg membuat series ini mendapatkan skor setinggi ini adalah keputusan endingnya yg sangat tepat dan indah disaat yg bersamaan (ending yg diberikan dapat diterima oleh para penonton dengan baik sesuai berjalannya cerita berjalan).lalu untuk kelemahannya mungkin hanya satu, yaitu antagonisnya yg kurang diperdalam dan lbh sering digunakan hanya sebagai di level pembuat onar bkn seorang penjahat yg menjatuhkan para karakter.
