Messy hearts, warm moments

It was a fun and surprisingly warm watch for me. I went in with no huge expectations and came out smiling more times than I thought I would. The idea of six adults who all claim they “don’t need real love” slowly getting pulled into it anyway felt refreshing and honest, especially in how it doesn’t sugar-coat their fears or emotional awkwardness.

potential good drama destroyed by amateur team

I watched this because of Wang Xuan and Zhang Shan. Both deliver their character well and their sparks was completely on. Two good kisser collaborated and got one intense kissing scene and i feel this drama was heavily cut due that. Overall, the script's framework and setting are good, but the director failed to create dramatic tension and ups and downs; the plot felt flat, and the emotional transitions were abrupt.

If you you didn't mind amateur editing in this drama, you will enjoy this drama.

Awful subtitles

Things I loved

1 That it was an advertising theme. I love workplace romantic comedies and advertising is one of the fields I like the most so I couldn't pass on it.

2 The balcony scenes. I love it when the story is between two neighbors and when there's a balcony something clicks and I enjoy it even more. I think the scenes I loved the most were the balcony scenes, although the kiss in the end could be better.

Things I liked

1 The FL. She became one of my favorite actress after Gank Your Heart, but her performance here wasn't the best. Although I enjoyed her character the first few episodes I started to find her acting over the top after a while. I don't know what exactly happened but it felt like she didn't know how to express her feelings without exaggerating. A miss for me. I still liked her though since she is adorable.

2 The relationships between the ex and the other company members with the main leads. They were genuinely friends and cared for the company and each other. The ex and the other romantic male interest weren't bad at all and the story didn't have any heartbreaking moments because of romance.

3 The founder of the company and how much he loved his job and cared for his employees. The same goes for them.

Things I disliked

1 The ML actor. It's hard for me to put him here, since his character was good, but his acting was so sub par for me. I now know for sure after having watched at least three dramas with him that I don't like his acting. I don't find him attractive at all which doesn't help, although it happened I don't find an actor attractive yet fall in love with his acting and become his fan. It didn't happen here unfortunately.

2 The acting in general. I thought all of them acted a bit over the top when it wasn't necessary. It felt like they were acting to make it more clear rather than embody their characters. There were some scenes that felt genuine and the banter scenes when the main leads met were good, but there were to many I felt like I was watching a bad high school drama.

Lost Between Tones

This is a strange one, largely because the show never seems to decide what it wants to be. It swings awkwardly between heavy, emotionally driven drama (especially in the main character’s central arc) and an almost slapstick, goofy humor that clashes with the seriousness of the story. Instead of feeling layered, the tonal shifts feel inconsistent and disjointed.

Another major issue is the overcrowded cast. There are simply too many characters and far too little time to give them the development they deserve. It’s frustrating, because many of them are genuinely intriguing. With a tighter, more focused narrative, the series could have allowed these personalities to truly shine. As it stands, most characters remain surface-level, and some are reduced to one-dimensional roles, making it difficult to form a real emotional connection.

The pacing doesn’t help either. The most compelling elements of the story often feel sidelined, while the main plot struggles to maintain momentum. What should have been a powerful, emotionally impactful drama instead leaves a lingering sense of disappointment.

Despite these shortcomings, the cast delivers strong performances, doing their best with the material they’re given. The OST is also solid, complementing the show’s shifting tones effectively.

Ultimately, it’s hard to recommend this series when there are stronger, more cohesive alternatives out there.

Just a little too much going on...

In my opinion, Adamas is a great drama, it's just has too much going on. It's not necessarily too complex to understand, it's just a lot of things happening at once so the viewer needs to always be actively engaged at every moment to really grasp everything. In a way, it makes it a great watch. It's been a long time since I've had that feeling. On the other hand, when there are lots of characters and rivalries in a drama such as this one, it makes me identify plot holes or instances of 'well that doesn't make any sense - why would they do that?'.

I was unsure of the 'twins' ML as it kind of brakes the fourth wall for me, but thankfully in this drama, it didn't. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, even though there were too many. Because there were too many, it unfortunately meant that some were showcased more often at some points, then another episode they might not appear much at all (inconsistent screen time). But all characters were indeed amazing as I previously stated, and the acting was supremely amazing by pretty much everyone.

The rewatch value is high. This is because of the awesome pacing of episodes, the mystery, the structure of the story, the suspense and cinematography. Usually I don't score too high for a drama in this category, but Adamas definitely deserves a high score when it comes to this. The OST is also sublime and I will probably listen to it for a while after today.

Would I recommend Adamas? Yes, absolutely!

Personal Note: My first ever MDL review I have written on mobile!

A mix of boring and sweet

Things I loved

1 The theme. I've never watched a series based on the brewing theme and I wanted to learn things and watch them drink and discuss beer. I don't like drinking at all but wine and beer are two drinks that fascinate me as of their popularity and I always want to find out more about how it's done.

2 The beginning. I loved the FL character and wanted to find out more about her journey. The issue is that somehow it got boring after a while and I wasn't so much into her journey.

3 The FL. She's one of my favorite actresses after Business Proposal, so she is the reason with the theme that I started this. I think she's as cute as ever and she's a good romantic comedy actress. I will definitely continue to look for her dramas. Did she have chemistry with the ML? I guess. I wasn't that transported by the romance so I can't really say.

Things I liked

1 The ML. it's the first drama I watch with him, and I think he did a good job with his character. My issue is that I never warmed to his character. I wanted to love him, but it didn't happen. I didn't dislike him, that's certain, he was a great person, I just didn't connect with him.

2 The other characters. They were good and I don't have anything to complain. I just didn't care enough to put them on the "love" list.

Things I disliked

1 It was quite boring, and I think this is the first review where I say this. I'm not easily bored and I don't mind slow pace at all, but with this one it felt sometimes like nothing happened.

2 The village theme. Others are attracted by it, but that's not my case. I love villages as setting as much as big cities, but I dislike everything that comes with like meddling people and hidden lessons. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't something that appealed to me either. All in all, it was a sweet, heartwarming drama with a little too many boring moments.

Not so good not so bad

Went on to watch this show with lot of expectations after watching it's edits everywhere on Instagram but was not really impressed by this. Okay, the first few episodes were funny and cute. But, it went downhill with every episode. The fl was too clingy to the ml. The ml's character was too bland and boring don't why the fl was so much attracted to him. The only thing I liked was Do Rami.

First of all, this storyline slightly matches with #the lawless lawyer, and then my favourite actors & actresses are there ...It is really engaging to watch my fav actors and actresses #beak jinhee #wonjina #jisung #parkheesoon and my fav Ajusshi #Ahn Nae Sang. After Highkick 3, #beakjinhee and ajusshi are reuniting ..

Simple and cute

Things I loved

1 The FL. She is the reason I started this after I fell in love with her In Gang your Heart. I won't lie, her performance there was much better, but the story was as well. She's a good actress but what attracts me to her is her luminosity. She could be the girl next door I could be friends with.

2 The premise. I loved the premise, the lying thing, but also the comic theme. I think it could be better executed but it was still good. Sweet and interesting enough to have you persevere.

3 The relationships between the club members. I liked the different characters and interactions and this worked well until the ending. As I said, it was simple but cute with some funny and heartwarming moments.

Things I disliked

1 The ML. I didn't really dislike him, but something didn't click for me. I didn't see the chemistry I hoped and I just felt like someone else could be better for the role. But it's not a real dislike, just a mild one with some moments where I liked him.

A Thrilling, Dark Ride That Grips From the Start

From the very first episode, Extracurricular doesn’t ease you in — it throws you straight into danger. What starts as a quiet student’s secret life quickly spirals into a tense, morally chaotic thriller where every decision feels explosive.
The real shock? The relatively new leads deliver performances so convincing that you forget you’re watching actors. You’re not just observing the story — you’re trapped inside it. There’s no clear hero, no pure villain. You stop asking who’s right or wrong and start holding your breath to see who survives the consequences.
This isn’t a slow burn. It’s a constant surge of tension, curiosity, and anxiety — easily one of the most adrenaline-charged K-dramas out there.
Watch it if you want: intensity, moral grey zones, and edge-of-your-seat storytelling.
Avoid it if you prefer: light, comforting dramas.

Bloody Flower — A Drama That Never Bloomed

If you’re looking for a tightly written, emotionally gripping short K-drama, Bloody Flower may disappoint you. Despite having only eight episodes, it feels stretched rather than sharp. The premise shows promise and the cast delivers decent performances, but the writing lacks depth and momentum.
There’s little sense of urgency or anticipation between episodes — it’s not the kind of drama that keeps you counting down to the next release. Much of the storyline feels underdeveloped, making the overall experience feel thinner than it should for an eight-episode series.
Watch it if: you’re a fan of the cast or prefer lighter, easy-to-finish dramas.
Skip it if: you’re expecting strong storytelling, tight pacing, or high emotional payoff.

Relationship development was too slow but the ending was like a flash

I've binged watching Zhang Jinyi drama again since her recent drama with Li Zhuoyang make me cheek crammed for too much smiling and search the drama that i haven't watch and i never realized Huang Youtian has collaborated with her (I rarely check his drama since he is more into ancient than modern) and i was happy to check this drama. Both of actor have CP vibe and i hope they can collaborate on modern drama.

Let's recap this drama: they have 97 episodes: 1 episode on the past life, 3 episodes on revenge, 3 episodes on political intrigue. FL luring ML for 90 episodes. Although the plot is thin and the relationship development was too slow, it's surprisingly not boring at all. Just watching gorgeous leads in love is very satisfying. FL is quite busy, responsible for "fishing," political intrigue, and revenge, while ML is very idle, only responsible for being flirted with. From initially being stubborn but soft-hearted, he eventually can't wait for the FL to give him a title. Although the entire series is relatively clean (passionate scenes only exist in the ML's mind).

The cons is the costume was not nice and ML hairdo was bizzarre at the 10 episodes and the political intrigue was too simple. The ending was like flash since they packed the ending in 3 episodes.

If you're looking for revenge or political intrigue, this drama might disappoint you. But if you want to see a handsome man and beautiful woman having a sweet romance, then don't hesitate to watch it—you won't be disappointed.

the problems of bad wishes

At first, like most people, I thought that the finale ruined everything. But then I wondered if it wasn't even intentional that they didn't want to show a happy ending at all.
If you look at the wishes, the only wish that is not at the expense of others is actually Thana's wish for a new job, at most if you assume that the one who otherwise got the job will now go away empty-handed.
All other wishes always involve third parties. So Nack wants a kiss, which means Reow is manipulated for this purpose. Overall, however, perhaps still harmless.
Worse is Reow's wish. He binds Mai and later Thana to him for life. With the consequence that he cannot end the relationship and in desperation then has to commit himself to the café, where he then continues the relationship with Patis or should one say has to continue-
Then Dena's desire to rob others of their memories of their lives so far, just to forget their own pain, is simply cruel. In fact, all 4 prisoners of the wish of Dena and Mai/Thana are also prisoners of the wish before Reow. But Dena and Nack don't have a happy ending either, the late kiss is now nothing important in life, in fact both are stuck in their love for Reow/Patis even in their alter ego and can't find a new partner and thus no happiness.
The only happy ending here is the mother and the son, even if he might have liked to stay with the mother, she has made a life and a future possible for him with her wish and has not bound him to anything with her second wish. They see each other again and the rest is their own decision.
This is exactly where the desires that differ from Dena and Reow in particular bind their friends and force them into a life that is and remains externally controlled by the desires.
Something like that can't have a happy ending and if they wanted to portray it that way, they actually did it well.

Solid legal drama

Things I loved

1 That it was a legal drama. Not only I love them but the competition theme speaks to me as I adore competition shows.

2 The actors. I won't single anyone since I found all good and while I won't check any other dramas from them, I would watch them with joy if they are part of one.

3 The characters. I loved how all of them found their purpose and decided to fight for it. I loved the relationship between them, no unnecessary angst and rivalry but rather respect and sane ambition.

4 The ending. I see many complain about the ending, but I thought it was good, realistic and not truly open.
