Yang Mi Ra is a South Korean actress and broadcaster. She graduated from Soongdeok Girls' High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, both in Theatrical and Film Studies and both from Hanyang University. She made her debut in 1997 when she entered a modeling competition and won the Grand Prize. After that, she work extensively as a model and later began obtaining roles as an actress. In 1999, she appeared in a commercial for Lotteria with comedian Nam Hee Seok and she gained more popularity. In 2006, she underwent plastic surgery in an attempt to change her image but the public did not like the changes and her appearances began decreasing. She eventually halted all activities and after her role in the drama "Three Sisters" in 2010, she had no other acting role. She has had a few appearances on variety shows but she is more focused on her social media accounts rather than appearing on TV.
