    Tree of Heaven
    Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan play the young version of the characters in Stairway to Heaven, but play the main characters in in Tree of Heaven. Both have a somewhat similar theme, but in Tree of Heaven the love between step siblings is requited. If you like Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan as a couple then give Tree of Heaven a try.

    They are both about childhood friends falling in love as adults. Both lack most of the annoying drama tropes, making the characters seem real and the love story convincing.

    Both feature Song Il Gook as one of the main cast Both are good tales of the underdog mastering martial arts, archery and owning major ass when no one thought they could Both are great lengthy historical dramas that gained lots of popularity at the times they aired They both start a bit slow/bad with Jumong a bit of a worse start than Sea God

    Both dramas deal with bullying. Life is about a teenager trying to overcome bullying whereas 35 sai no Koukousei is about a 35 year old trying to help students that are being bullied.

    both have kim jae won being adorable, and the second lead actors are both hot ;) also, i think they have many similarities somehow, maybe not the plot, but the same feelings the characters endure. Like both main actresses are rejected by family at first, and then eventually are loved.

    Mackerel Run
    Both cover the struggles of a drifting high school boy against his school and the world at large as he is forced to wake up due to a new and somewhat unusual situation. Both are hilarious, corny, over-the-top, and comic book like, but meaningful at the same time. Samurai High School is Japanese and a little supernatural based on a manga, while Mackerel Run is Korean and uses more of a romantic theme.
