Hope such a story doesn't happen in real life!

Choi Min Shik, Like Anthony Hopkins or Jack Nicholson scares me everytime with his psychopathic roles, haha
The chasing, hunting of the erial killer by the main lead / secret agent to avenge for his family is very interesting n gripping to watch.
U will be tired n exhausted mentally, watching them running n chasing desparately, haha.
Once again, This has unacceptable levels of gore Violence, so Be aware of that
Hero saw the Devil (dark side) in Villain.
Then Villain saw the Devil (dark side) in Hero
n I saw the Devils (dark, scary sides) in both of them! 😂

Most detailed movie ever
Ok first of all how did they even filmed this? it's a masterpiece. I just couldn't feel Lee Byunghun's emotion and anger that much because he didn't showed it like how Choi Minsik did, but they both did great. Lee Byunghun's action of revenge made me feel and it showed me how great this movie is! it's shocking, everything is shocking. But the chitchatting parts with the detectives are quite boring yknow, but the action scenes and the production of this movie carried everything! and though I never expected a film would be this detailed and gory ... I loved everything! and not to mention every scene is fucking cool and iconic I swear, from the green house fight to the clinic scene LMFAO.Was this review helpful to you?

Pretty bad honestly
With the director and everything I thought this was going to be pretty good, but I full on got up and quit watching and went to shower. My partner finished the ending and told me about it, and Im glad I didn't sit through to finish it. Lots of harm and hate towards women. I get its the whole story, but after the first incident it is entirely on the ML's choices that the rest of the people get hurt because of his unwise and vengeful decisions. I dont need to watch a film being gorey / graphic towards women.The beginning is decent, good set up, good motives, and I can't say it wasn't well filmed because it certainly was. Acting is well done, whoever wrote this is the problem. Story is bad. ML becomes just as bad as the villains and is leading on the harm towards other people. I told myself after another women got harmed that if he let the pedo kliller go ONE more time for his sh*tty selfish anger and someone died I'd be done with it. And that's exactly what happened. Would not recommend. Its not "good revenge" if you let other people die, get traumatized and then ask that person to then help the dude who literally just SA'd you. Seriously?
Being a decent film doesnt negate this terrible plo

I thought this movie would be something I would enjoy, plus I hadn't really seen anything with Lee Byung Hun in it. Sadly, I was not impressed by the movie and I was, especially, not impressed by Lee Byung Hun's acting. Sorry Rain unnie...Story: Typical eye for an eye kind of story. There was something that made it a bit different from the others, but mentioning it in the review would probably be kind of spoiler-ish for those of you who haven't seen it. I'll just say there's a "support group". That was interesting. And I definitely liked the scene prior to the closing one. Not the last one...*yawn* I fast forwarded that part until I saw the ending credits.
Acting: I definitely liked Choi Min Sik's performance. He pulled off his role. I truly believed he was unhinged. It was a nice surprise when I saw Chun Ho Jin appear since I like him. Although in this movie, he had a very minor role. I was not impressed with Lee Byung Hun, but I've already mentioned that, haven't I? I saw him too stiff and the way he said his lines, it was like he was reciting them. Almost as if he was reading from a teleprompter in front of him. I just couldn't care about he was going through.
Music: It wasn't memorable and it actually made the movie less appealing for me.
I will definitely not be watching this movie again.

But it's definitely not a movie for the weak hearted cause it has too much of sexual violence and gore. I had to skip a few mature scenes myself..it was too disgusting to watch. *pukes* Those scenes very graphic and gruesome but necessary for the story, that's why I think the story deserves a 10/10.
Acting - 10/10. I think it takes a lot of skill to play the roles of the main characters. Choi Min Shik and Lee Byung Hun played their roles perfectly!
Music - I just gave it an 8/10 but actually I didn't really pay attention to the music lol. But so assume it's good cause if it was terrible it would have distracted me.
I like this movie much more than Old Boy.. but like Old Boy, I don't think I can re-watch this again. It's just too disturbing..

Ce film était dans ma "watchlist" depuis un bon moment et je regrette d'avoir attendu aussi longtemps pour le regarder.L'acting était est top, le méchant de l'histoire était très bon. Ça n'a pas dû être évident de jouer un personnage aussi malsain et pervers.
La guerre psychologique entre KSH et JKC est le meilleur aspect du film, qui est assez impressionnant à regarder. Âmes sensibles s'abstenir.
L'œuvre a réussi a dépeindre à la fois la douleur, la tristesse et la revenge.
La scène de fin m'a fait un peu mal au cœur.
Un film que je recommanderai sans hésitations

I never expected that it would turn into a cat and mouse game but since that was so unexpected, I loved the movie even more. I’ve never seen a revenge film take that approach before. Following the killer around I felt engrossed, waiting to see what would happen next and I never felt bored as there were many twists to keep me entertained.
It was a little gorey but nothing in the gore porn film genre, like it’s not a Saw movie. It was just enough to fascinate and disgust me simultaneously. You saw how psychotic the killer was so it was satisfying watching him suffer. Which I think is the mark of not only a good actor playing his role to perfection but a well told story, that I’m rooting for pain.

Why I hated this kind of great movie.
There are many positive comments about how this is such an amazing piece of cinema. Yes, it is graphic and not for the faint of heart. I think the two male leads were pretty great. Lee Byung Hun as Kim Soo Hyun was good as the "good" guy, and Choi Min Shik was awesome at making Jang Gyung Chul one of the most despicable, disgusting, terrible characters ever.That said, there is one facet of this movie that just turned me off to the whole thing. SPOILER AHEAD:
Soo Hyun puts a tracking device in Gyung Chul and lets him go. Oh, is he going to track him through the woods or some deserted area and just keep messing with him? No. He lets him go right where he is, to go and offend on a bunch more people. I believe he killed at least 3 people after Soo Hyun let him go. Those are the most egregious. But that poor nurse will also never be the same. Soo Hyun could have done many different things to torture that a$$h0l3. But letting him go like he did just ruined the movie for me. Soo Hyun turns out to be a terrible character as well. I know he didn't want that, or intend for that to happen, but the fact is that the baddie ruined a bunch more lives because of the way Soo Hyun decided to handle it. Sooooooo lame.

Could feel my heart beating so fast and couldn't stop feeling for the victims. It also gives a very strong message, not to trust everyone willing to offer help. The hero of this movie is a damn fantastic actor. I had watched this movie a long time ago, but can still remember his rage and hurt. The ending was very satisfying, felt so much for each and every victim and for the loved ones they left behind.
