Stop wasting your time reading reviews, anywhay almost all are 10s, and the rating itself says what a great show this is. :)

EVERGREEN ACTION ROMANTIC DRAMA

Quick Roundup on plot:-

The story runs in two different timelines present with 1980's flashbacks. a group of five college friends used to battle against the severely restricted freedom of press in 1980s South Korea., but their close friendship ended in betrayal and an unsolved crime way that has been passed down to their future generations. Now the story runs in present day - Seo Jung Hoo, referred to as Healer, Healer, a man operating illegally whose job is to execute anonymous clients’ orders – everything but killing, is tasked with obtaining the DNA of a woman named Chae Young Shin, an amateur entertainment reporter raised by her father and a band of ex-cons.

Thoughts :-

The story revolves around secrets from the past of a group of friends, that not only affect the cast of characters in the present, but also the political situation of the country and their children. Sometimes the story runs in parallel with past and present events linked up. As the characters dig up the secrets, they realise what they are really dealing with. The drama is fast, it makes you want to see what’s next and Ji Chang Wook's cool action scenes that always maintain the high level of excitement in each episode which makes every episode cool. It presents a well-rounded story with action-rom- Mystery, the action sequences and the mystery angle of the plot get your emotions roaring, the romance makes your heart pounding. The main leads are Jung Hoo (Ji Chang Wook) , Moon Ho (Yoo Ji Tae) and Ji Ahn (Park Min Young) as the actors convey their vulnerability flawlessly. Absolutely amazing acting from the three lead stars, Excellent OST with outstanding cinematography.

Healer entered as Action-romance drama but dealt with all sub-plots perfectly thanks to writers, actors, and directors took a decently engaging plot and executed it with care, transforming it into an incredibly engaging viewer experience.

Finally a word :-

- Everything about the drama just fits together to take the audience on a journey of action, thrills, heartbreak, and love. I guarantee that once you begin the series, you will be unable to stop, It is a drama worth every minute of your time. The action scenes were top class. But if you are not a fan of stunts..You could just skip those scenes. But definitely give it a try to those action scenes :)

Amazing story which can be seen through watching the drama. The actors fully embrace their characters and portray them in the best way possible. Ji Chang Wook is an amazing actor and dare I say one of the best actors Korea could offer. The story gives you mixture of the past and how the past has impacted the lives of the character in the present which is the writer's have done an amazing job on. The drama is mixed with comedy and amazing action scenes that are a must watch. The romance and action are the delight of the show as well as the character development that lets the viewers develop their own feelings and embrace the protagonist as well.

I just finished this drama like 3mins ago and I'm gonna write a review about it right away.

First Story: It's about a guy who is a "night errand boy" - codename: Healer. He does all sorts of things for people as long as they pay him good money. He doesn't kill people though which makes him sympathetic from the start. In one of his cases he has to investigate a girl and soon he sees himself in the middle of all that is going on. He  finds out that his and the girl's past are connected and while trying to hide that he is the "Healer" , he gets also confronted with people from his past (which he left behind)  who recognize him. During this process of finding out the thruth he also starts to fall in love with the girl.

I loved the story a lot. It was a good balance of action, crime, romance and investigation, psychologically also very well made.
The characters were all fantastic and I have to say: I was a bit suspicious because I had seen Ji Chang Wook in some other dramas and somehow I had the feeling that it was sometimes a bit much acting - not here. I was really happy to see how he got into that role and made it his own.
I liked all characters - I can't say I didn't like anyone because they delivered a brilliant show which I wish had more episodes. The quirky female lead made this drama light and smooth although her past shocked me and made me cry :'(
I also loved the scenes with Kim Mi Kyung (Ajumma) because she was just this stone who pretends to not give a damn but in the end she actually does. A fun bonus was the fact that the Café Chae Yeong Shin lived at was a place for criminals her father took care of - it gave a completely new atmosphere to the scene :D

The music was beautiful - I have new songs to add to my playlist haha :D

If there would be some time, I would definitely rewatch this drama because it warms your heart.
10/10

There are really several dramas that only Korea can make - healer is one of them. I can spend 3 full days watching these gems - on the other hand I hate wasting even an hour watching - movies/series whcih do not make sense to me- so I carefully choose which series/movies I spend time on.

I’m aware of Ji Chang Wook’s popularity - but have yet to watch any of his shows until - healer (reason is i am still busy following my other favorite oppa) - i gave healer a chance given its high ratings/reviews.

Watching the first few episodes are not boring but I was not convinced of the high reviews - until I was on Episode 7 - the rest is just so savory, so satisfying. I may not enjoy the appetizers that much but defenitly enjoyed the main dish to the very last dessert.

It gives me the same thrill from watching “equalizer” “Mission Imp” kind of movies and the chills from watching “twighlight” series.

I must say - koreans really can pull off writing a drama in a way many writers fail to do (so they just use so much killings- making villains obvioulsy and overly cruel that makes watching too depressing) while, Korean dramas - certainly know which part of emotions to attack - upto what extent - and ofcourse it never loses its aim plot and romance.

Having attractive actors (such as Ji Chang Wook) in this case certainly is an advantage in korean film industry- and charming leading ladies.

I would certainly add JCW to my favorite oppa line up. The samchun sure made a huge impact too- i rarely get impressed with a third character.

HONESTLY ONE OF THE BEST (IF NOT THE BEST) KDRAMA I'VE EVER WATCHED. I can't even put to words how much I love Healer. Watched Healer with high expectations due to the reviews and it definitely did not disappoint. There are so many things to love about this drama.

First, the plot. It's so engaging and mysterious you'd want to watch more and more episodes after watching one. The end of a Healer episode leaves you wanting more so then you find yourself watching more. Healer has a lot of cliffhangers which I think is a good thing after all HAHHAA. The plot was well-executed and I indeed really loved it

Second, the ROMANCEEEE. Oh my god can we just talk about how amazing PMY & JCW's chemistry is AHHHHHH. This drama melted my heart sooo mannyyy timessss. It was a very heartwarming drama. Every romantic scene in this drama was very meaningful and heartfelt. There were no nonsensical stuff at all. The connection, passion, and sincerity in their relationship got me enviouss honestly hahaha Not to mention the warm and tight hugs hihi EVERYTHING WAS JUST WONDERFUL

Third, the actors!!! The actors were great especially Ji Chang Wook wow he was soo good in portraying both Jung Hoo and Bong Soo. Loved him so much!! Ahjumma was really cool tooo and the teacher got me feeling things

Ahhhh there's so much more to love about this drama than those three so you should definitely watch it!! the best!!

I feel like Healer tried to be deep and something serious, but ended up being completely shallow.

Story:
Yeah, the story is the worst thing with this. It sucked. Too typical. Too boring. So unoriginal, nothing interesting here. There was absolutely NOTHING surprising. Only interesting thing was the flashbacks and the ''villain''. I would have preferred to watch a drama of the flashbacks' story, instead of this. Flashbacks were really the only thing to keep this going. And even the most interesting parts would have been boring in a really interesting and good drama. This drama was only about falling in love (in a boring way) and some stupid plot about the characters' past that I don't even remember anymore.

Characters/Cast:
Yeah, nothing interesting to see here either. Boring characters, but the actors were somewhat good. And Ji Chang Wook looked handsome, so that's good I guess. Especially Yoo Ji Tae's character, why did we even need him? Unnecessary. He was maybe the most uninteresting character here. Compared to him, even Ji Chang Wook's and Park Min Young's characters seemed good. There were some fun comedic scenes with the supporting characters though, but that's it.

Music:
I actually liked the music. Catchy... And some of them got stuck in my head even. But they became annoying after awhile.

Rewatch value:
How about no.

I was interested because of the genres ''action'' and ''thriller''. Action scenes were fun, but I don't know why this has been listed as a thriller.

I can't even believe how high rating this has gotten, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Not judging.

Phenomenal!

Outstanding!

Fabulous!

Superb!

Tremendous!

Fantastic!

How many superlatives have you got, cause all of them apply!

I even love the super cheesy, 80's vibe song they played at least 3 times every single episode. That singer must have made a Lot of money off of this drama, lol.

I only feel ashamed that it took me so long to finish.

I Will be rewatching this.

Liked it

The story is emotional, mystery & friendship. After watching the trailer, I thought ML was a stalker who fell in love with her FL, but it's totally different. They build a mystery in one episode & reveal it within a few episodes, like the child's identity, who wants to harm her & why.

Seo Jung Hoo is one kind of agent. He is clever, smart, good at fighting, and has no friends. His jumping from one building to another gave me Tom Cruise feeling. I loved Ji Chang Wook acting like a fool.

Chae Yeong Shin a reporter on a small online platform. She is smart, cheerful, full of love, but has a dark past. She suddenly starts singing and dancing whenever she is depressed, nervous, scared. I liked Park Min Young acting especially her crying scenes.

Kim Moon Ho is a famous reporter who is searching for a child. The story from here. I loved that they didn't show any love triangle. Kim Moon Ho loves & cares for Chae Yeong Shin but not in a lovely way but as an elder.

Loved Jo Min Ja & her sudden outburst.

Chae Yeong Shin *& her father singing "I am Thirsty" & Seo Jung Hoo shock reaction. Her singing & dancing in her room while changing her clothes, she kicked her pants & it landed on Seo Jung Hoo face. The poor boy was so mortified.

It made me emotional when Seo Jung Hoo mother left him & young Seo Jung Hoo crying. His crying face made me cry.

Love the face off between Kim brothers.

Loved it every time Jo Min Ja suddenly appeared on Seo Jung Hoo's screens.

Choi Myung Hee knows that Kim Moon Shik is a changed person now. He is now cunning, a hypocrite, a psycho, manipulating everything, full of tricks, but she never doubts him that maybe he is the one behind everything, as she used to a reporter who used to fight against wrong & corrupt. I get that she also changed became seriously ill because of what happen to her in the past.

Love some sweet scenes like Seo Jung Hoo putting his hand on Chae Yeong Shin head while driving so that she doesn't get hurt. He followed her all the way to her house after the lift incident. She confessed her crush on him.

Seo Jung Hoo is the opposite of his father. His father is jolly minded, jokes around all the time, fun-loving, always smiling. On the other hand, Seo Jung Hoo is serious, doesn't talk much, unsocial. They walking scenes were emotional.

Pure friendships & lives which got ruined because of selfish people.

Seo Jung Hoo face when he had a table full of food, which was rare for him.

The death of three friends, especially Seo Jung Hoo's master, was heartbreaking.

I laughed hard at the screen when Seo Jung Hoo introduced himself as Chae Yeong Shin boyfriend & the way her father wanted to beat her up.

The ending would've been better. I badly wanted to see Choi Myung Hee & Oh Ji An reunion, but they didn't show it.
