So I dropped this drama half way episode 10.

There is so much I can take, but a noisy, stupid, uneducated brat who doesn't really know her place is too much to handle, especially since this woman should be in her late 20s.
As someone mentioned before me, you have the father overacting way too much and at times I really thought she was the mentally disable. Acting like a rude person at every opportunity, always shouting, making a scene whether people are having a fancy dinner or a meeting, jumping up and down like a 5 year old kid. I think the idea was to have a fearless sassy girl, but they just produced a brat. Too much.

The premise of the story also was very interesting, but it really lost all the sparks with bad directing (so many useless scenes that don't add anything to the story, but just drag it) overacting and some awkward scenes among brothers and mothers.

There are definitely better dramas out there.

This 2011 Korean dramais one of the few which captured my heart and i loved to rate it 10 on 10 on all fronts. I have really no words as to how moved I was and the very few dramas that I rewatched even twice. I normally fast forward and watch only once.
It has it all - understanding and overcoming handicaps and differently abled people but with lots of sweetness and love/romance.
It has romance, big time Bromance, angst, friendship, revenge, meaning of family and lastly Hartu (as they say heart in korean).

Wonderful Acting by everyone especially Kim Jae won, Hwang Jung Eum, Nam Goong Min and Jung Bo Seok (the mentally handicapped father). Its top class. The attention to details is just awesome.

I loved it all music, bromance, romance, sweetness, drama. and they make the whole story so believable and logical a rarity in dramas. The writer must have lived with such characters depicted in te drama otherwise they cannot prtray the characters and develop them so well.
The cinematography, music is so good. I can just go on and on.

That a deaf person could try and hide his problem is so convincingly depicted - they use voice to text feature on his mobile and have Nam goong min or Bong maa roo character who stays with him helping to cover up for him. Sweet moments especially between the lead pair and the brothers is plenty.
For example a scene where Dong Joo asks Bong Maa Roo a surgeon to stitch his little bean bag, and the friendship and jealousy scenes between the autistic father and his friend brought big smiles. All in all every episode has such cutesy moments that you cant ever fast forward the scenes lest you miss something nice.

Great care has been taken to cover even minute little details by writer and director showing what it really means when they say that a movie is crafted. Its been crafted with great amount of love and care just like how a sculptor or painter works on their piece of art.

Oh my oh my ... why dont they write /make dramas like this anymore...

This is the most perfectly crafted drama ever made. Everything, from the writing to the acting, is absolutely superb. It is not the best drama you can find. It is not particulary original, and it’s neither some heart wrenching drama that throws you under the bus using some cheap tragedy (despite the big theme of deafness, it mantains a very lightweight mood from the beginning to the end). But historically and in terms of crafting it can be considered the pinnacle of the classic korean drama. After this one the drama industry had to renew themself and started going in different directions than the usual poor-family-girl-meet-rich-family-boy trope. Thanks to one of the most skilled korean actress ever, the legendary Hwang Jung Eum, and a cast of the greatest actors of the time, this drama captures the audience hearts and never let them go. Even after the end, you will think about the characters for weeks, and never forget them. This is the work of a screenwriter whith incredible experience and skills, and of a director with a superior sense of pace, mastering the flow of the events without the smallest error.
This is why it can be considered a true “canon”. The word “canon” is derived from the Greek “kanon”, which translates as “rod,” “measuring stick,” or to “rule”, and is defined as “(...) an highly valued work that acts as arbiter of artistic value and that can be regarded as a reference for a genre; a "gold standard" against which all the others should be judged.(..)” This is how amazing this drama is.

Can you hear my heart has a lot of positive the family of FL was a happy family and fun to watch especially the father he was cute in has antics and the Grandma too was cute and generally the relationship between people were also nicely shown and heartwarming. what I didn't understand is why they had to push an unnecessarily aggressive love triangle . Like why couldn't they have a simple brother and sister relationship . In all kdramas the love triangles are toxic and aggressive they always show that a girl and boy can't have any other relationship rather than lovers while in real life you have relationship with so many people in so many different ways . I really wished that they would not push this relationship when o started these series . Scenes between namgoonmin and the FL were hard to watch and unnecessarily toxic and aggressive . Also namgoonmin scenes were in general to toxic to watch . the first five episodes are also bit of a drag could have shown that in one or two episodes . I really couldn't understand what the ML mother was trying to do like I mean she raised a kid as her own and then says that he's not my own the father dosent really care about his son and with power in his hands can do anything it was really weird . although it was heartwarming to watch there were scenes that you just couldn't watch .

This drama was very interesting. Although we are the family drama there was some mystery involved, revenge, plotting and redemption. I can honestly say that this is not a tradition of drama as it involves some situations that you don’t see often in drama. I really feel like it took a more personal approach to family issues in their effects on each member of the family. It also gives a new look at what family really means.

You’ll get teased up with this. You’ll get angry and you’ll get smiles. This series provoked all types of feels. Abandonment, new beginning, new loves, lost loves, family, disappointment, revenge, redemption.

What I like most about the drama is that our mail lees stay true to himself. He was smart, kind and sweet and he didn’t change based on circumstances he simply revealed what was already within him.
what I didn’t like about the series way the length of the series was some of the female lead behavior. I’m just gonna be honest here the reasoning skills or decision making skills just didn’t seem logical it sometime. Don’t get me wrong one of those dramas that they create conflict out of thin air or anything like that but it was a different type of annoyance. You know the one where you’re dating someone and you still hang around with someone because you’re hope you can be friends with him. That type of annoyance.

And last but not least the wardrobe and hairstyle for the FL was awful. I don’t normally comment on things like this but I got to be honest looking at her hair, in mushroom form, was crazy and distracting. Not only that, for 80% of the series this adult walked around with a backpack on like Dora the explorer. Yes I know it’s stupid to comment on it but after watching so many episodes you start wondering why is she wearing a backpack. she wasn’t going to school she just walked around all the time with his red backpack like it was part of her costume or something. I just really wish they would’ve dressed her better. It’s almost as if she acted with what she had on that day.

If you’re looking to laugh and cry you might like it.

Here u cam understand how deaf guys wanna be part of the society. No one can understand what does it mean not to hear other.
This drama isn’t only about love. U can find here something about business, family and friendship.
This drama is one of the best in this world.

Starts out epically strong: Becomes ridiculously overlong. This should actually be a good drama - the plot alone makes this an edge-of-your-seat kind of story. Unfortunately, half of the actors were fantastic, but the other half were mediocre at best, or just a downright nuisance at worst (Ex: the Lee family was redudant, Minsu only existed to be a second pair of legs; and Mi Suk? Don't even get me started on that one). The best action/drama for me was following Dong Joo and Jun Ha/Maru's relationship with their mother(s) - quite a satisfying thread to follow too.

Can You Hear My Heart..The number of episodes need to stay for a longer moment. Fortunately, the story is pretty good and the idea with deaf Dong Ju is really something new. Of, course, it's not reliable too much. A deaf person cen't speak so crealy and probably one can't lip-read, when people speak so quickly, but... who cares. I wanna congratulate the actor, Jeong Bo Seo. I saw him in other production, but now I see him from another side. Appreciation! Jun Ha.. lovely smile, but I fall in love with his dark side. I would like to see him in a thiller.

I am really disappointed by this one. Sure, I haven't finished it yet. And I'm probably not gonna. Somehow it was promising so I kept pushing myself to keep watching. Up to Episode 4 it was ok (though the acting in this episode was a little annoying) After all, it was just the pre-storyline and somehow interesting. After that I expected a quick introduction into the actual storyline and then the story to steadily evolving into something more. It took the story until the end of episode 13 to pick up. (Thats about 10 hours going in circles) After that it became good but only until episode 17 or so. Then dragged again. Maybe I am too harsh because this drama surely had its sweet moment and one or two of my tears battled with gravity at some point, but mostly it filled me with boredom. The development of the characters is very faulty. Usually characters and their action are shown in such a manner that the viewer can relate to them or at least understand them in a way. But in this drama I had the feeling they forgot to do that with certain characters. More than once I asked myself "why does he do that in such a manner? why does he suddenly like her? Why is this character even in this drama?...."

On the positive side; I really liked the music and the acting isnt all too bad. (Oh, and the male actors are definitely worth looking at... ^.^)

Can you hear my heart is the worst drama i have ever seen

The plot is weak with a lot of flaws the acting is bad and unreal

the flow of the events is too slow . I think 30 episode is too much for

such a story it can be ended in 20 episode only .

Finally it was a wast of time for me to watch

first let me say that if you're looking for a drama that involved family and love this is the drama for you, after saying that if romance is what you're after- move on...

loved the grandmother and son characters, they were the real stares!
the main males leaders were somewhat lacking, the heroine did great job in carry on the story.

as far as the storyline, the beginning was nice but the evil mother character just took the story from being normal (as far as it goes in kdrama land (-;) to just being nuts!!!

the end itself did not do justice to 30 emotional rollercoaster episodes, not the best ending they could come up with- but still good

This is a good drama. It shows that you need not be restricted by your physical disability. I liked it for the plot and the portrayal.
