These two bitches are the biggest Mary Sues in the history of Mary Sues

the drama has no plot really it's just about a gamer girl (don't worry she does not experience sexism while gaming which baffles me) and the best gamer in the server getting married in the game and then falling in love in real life.
the characters are extremely bland the writer did not work on them at all they're very 2 dimensional. the male lead seems to be good at everything but he's not like those oh i-am-good-at-everything-but-i-am-socially-awkward. he never expresses his emotion he is so robotic and the acting is awkward too.
the female lead is also quite plain she is told to be a strong character but I don't see it every time she is in a pickle her knight in shining armor comes to the rescue. they don't feel like real people at all, they didn't have flaws or anything that makes them human. I found the side characters have more depth in them than the main characters.
The female lead has too many facial expressions and the male lead just sits there with a stone face. People who don't like serious and sad stuff will enjoy this because it's so light-hearted. but this is just my opinion.

Honestly saying...i have never ever watched such a warm and sweet story . just like how the story progress without much hindrance, how all the actors portrayed their character so well was overwhelming. I literally loved this show.
About the two main leads ...i really liked them .
How yang yang(xiao nai portrayed a character who was calm composed and ofcourse had his own charm. While bei wei wei was a perfect example of beauty with brains.
The plot also focused on problems in friendship (wei wei amd er xi)when love enters their life.
I specially liked how xiao nai's friends call wei wei as sister in law as it shows they believe in their relationship and are supportive as well as are close to both the main leads . And how wei wei's friends used to call xiao nai as master ..it shows that they have a huge respect towards him...
All in all this is a must watch show if you are looking for a drama that make you feel warm, loved and make you feel the urge to be in a relationship that is so sweet.
I recommend re watching it.....
Thank you

One of the few where the couple remains intact

8.5/10 is my rating. This was a 2016 Chinese drama that ran for 30 episodes ~103 minutes/episode). The title O2O stands for online to offline from what I can tell. The male lead is played by Yang Yang who plays a 4th year computer science major and the top man on campus. Xiao Nai (Yang Yang) could have his pick of women but becomes fascinated by Bei Wei Wei (Zheng Shuang), a 2nd year computer science student, who is a match for both his physical attractiveness as well as intellect. Both are top players in a very popular role playing game called "A Chinese Ghost Story" and Xiao Nai actually first notices Wei Wei as she sits playing the game.

Spoiler 🚨 Other reviewers commented that this is just a solid love story and I would agree with that. It is refreshing that little to nothing seems able to break them up once they come together and the conflicts are around overcoming obstacles others put in their way personally and as a couple. Xiao Nai is also emerging as CEO of his own gaming company that is on the cutting edge of the gaming industry. I really liked how this would switch back and forth to their roles and relationship within the game to outside of it. It was a look at how intense many people play these types of games and the fact that many such games serve as their own match making entity. It is fun to watch the two defeat those with evil intent using either their great intellect or, as in Wei Wei's case, stunning beauty. I did feel like it took awhile for the story to really take off. However, once it really got going I was pulled in. I would put this not at the top of my list but definitely towards the top. It is a great and very heartwarming drama that is well acted with visual stunning scenes.

YANG YANG
I have already watched this drama 5 whole times, from the beginning to the end, and still find it intriguing to watch it for the fourth and fifth and sixth time, I would definitely give this a 10 rating for "rewatch value." I love yang yang is so handsome and I love it he is the best actor and There is no other drama that has beaten this one yet, for me, so I absolutely LOVE this one! I might seem to be rating this drama really easy going, maybe in your guy's opinions, but trust me, I usually rate dramas pretty harshly, especially with their rewatch value, so this drama hits the spot for me!

The best romance drama in Chinese. lightweight and sweet love story.

No heartbroken or no hard feelings and no jealousy. Even that first partner(Ryan Zhang) with that FL is also so real-life person. I mean He is like real-life CEO who see life is to enjoy with parent money. Even though he's shown as a playboy in that start He has his own reason to be like that. In the end, He realize the truth and moved on to make his life better is make him a better person. (His goodbye message to ML and FL ) is so touching.

Initially, I thought Oh This drama got 30 episodes hmm let's see how many episodes I can watch before the story turn into unfear or Too immoral. But When I watching the 29th episode I felt each and every episode Is important and I very hardly skipped any scenes. Also, I wonder at the 29th episode it's almost ending why there is another episode. later when I watch the 30th episode I realize wow Even though He is rich and already owns that FL heart the real challenge is meeting that FL parents and they showed it well.

About the main Couple, After "General's Lady (2020) [It also has 30 episodes]" I'm feeling this drama showing a true couple. I mean they never doubt their love even though they face many hard times thinking like that. The main FL(Bei Wei Wei) looks even very good in that game with that contact lens.

About the second couple, They didn't disturb too much in the main story of the drama. So it's all about only the life of FL. Another good thing is all the girls in this drama are looking good. It's nice to watch.

In that drama, everyone is telling that Main FL roommate second FL is not good looking but I think she is cute. she is pretty just like the main FL.

I personally don't really like modern-day dramas, I'm more of a historical drama, although historical dramas are a bit harder to understand. The drama was really sweet. the only thing I have to complain about is the fact that Xiao Nai and Weiwei never fought, they never got mad a each other. They have never dated in their life, and their first girl/boyfriend just happens to be the perfect one. In my opinion, I don't think a couple is ever this perfect, there should at least be a few quarrels. Again because they didn't fight is what made the show so sweet. I also think that there was no point of having Meng Yiran in the story. With or without her it makes no difference. The only thing that she did was just try to get Xiao Nai's attention, but Xiao Nai didn't even take another glance at her. So she really had no point of being in the story.

Walking down memory lane

Actually, am not planning to watch this drama because it was from quite some time ago (2016 was quite a number of years for a drama. Lol), but i came across a clip of xiao nai’s accident in youtube and being a male lead whump fan, i was intrigued, started to watch ep 8-10, and then i was sold, so had to go back and watch from the start. Lol.

Firstly, i just got to know YY recently from his WRTW, then watched YAMG and GOSF and wow, how YY has matured and improved as an actor. I’m glad i got to know him in 2022 though. Lol. Btw, whats with YY and drama related with gaming? Are all his modern dramas must include some sort of gaming theme going on? 🤣🤣
Nonetheless, i must say, YY in love o2o was such a green actor when you are coming from 2022. Haha. Notably, i found his hand gestures in the drama were consistently awkward, especially when Xiao Nai was explaining things in detail/presenting. and it doesnt help that as a CEO, he needs to do that quite a lot. Lol. Acting a cold, aloof god like Xiao Nai with a face such as Yang Yang’s was an easy feat to sell i think.

Plot wise, when looking from a lens of 2016 production, i would say it was acceptable. It gave me the same vibe of Jerry Yan’s meteor garden to the 2001’s me. Aaahhhh brings back so much fond memory! Lol. I get how comments from youtube from years ago were basically all gushing about this drama. Understandably, if you watch this 2016 production from 2022’s lens, you will probably find this to be overrated. A pretty face with a cold exterior, rich guy, a ceo, intelligent to boot, pro hacker/programmer. whats not to like? Hahaha

Come to think of it, YAMG now seems like a finer, improved adult version of Love O2O in a way. Where Love O2O was basically revolving around college to graduating period, YAMG caters more towards late 20’s adult period. Of course, being a product of 2021, YAMG was leaning more towards an equal standing, give-and-take kind of relationship as compared to the ‘toxic’ relationship that some people from recent years were raging about in Love O2O where the ML was more dominant and in-charge *roll eyes

Other things i would like to mention but was too lazy to put in a paragraph, so bullet points it is:

-xiao nai is too perfect. Lol. He’s a senior but then his transition to being a ceo, having his own company office and staffs and his lavish spending and lifestyle seems quite illogical sometimes. I mean, it was understandable if he was a millionaire’s son in the first place, but the writer just put him as a professors’ son only 🤔

-the fangirls in the campus really annoyed me. Hahahhahaa. I mean, he’s just a senior (albeit a spectacular one at that), no need to flock around him everywhere with mobile phones right in front of his face everywhere on campus’s ground

-the FL’s kissing scene was realllllyyy disappointing. Lol. Coupled it YY’s enthusiastic kissing, it pretty much create an oceanwide difference effect haha

-talking about the FL, i thought this is my first drama of hers, but going thru her list of dramas in Mydramalist, turns out she was also the FL in Chronicle of life! Watched that drama some years ago and i quite like it. But i did not recognise it was the same actress!

- plus side: i like ML’s sidekicks’ acting. Especially, yu banshan. Quite natural to me

-sooooo manyyyy annoying females sidekicks though. Notably Nana and the Xiaoyu clan. Typical jealous low IQ/EQ bitches. Hahaha. Chao Guang was also annoying to boot. Feels like kicking him to the curb! Aishh. Such an superficial guy

-KO and Hao Mei’s awkward almost BL side story. Lol. Not sure where the scriptwriter wanna go with it. Lol

-OST are nice, especially the ending song sung by YY. I fall in love with that song much earlier after a browse around in youtube, wayyy before i decided to give this drama a go

All in all, it was a good enough drama to pass the time, especially if you are a new YY’s fan like me and is revisiting some of his earlier works. Just maybe try to imagine you are watching this in 2016 and you will do just fine. Lol. Dont compare it with dramas/acting coming from 2021/22 era. Dont expect much in terms of plot development etc. it was just so that you can just gush over the ML’s god like perfect person and fragile, need-to-be-protected FL. Lol

I loved this drama so much, it is probably my favorite chinese drama.

Story: The story was definitely a highlight in this drama. The fact that their love started in an online game was so sweet and different from the dramas I watched. It was pretty awesome that this drama focused in so many other points than the main couple. In fact we see so many details that are so important.

Acting/Cast: I actually prefer Zheng Shuang's Bei Wei Wei than Angelababy's Bei Wei Wei. Yes, the kiss in the movie was better and her body was more healthy but Zheng Shuang's acting is superior, like REALLY superior. Yang Yang...oh god he is so sexy. I loved Xiao Nai character, his love for Wei Wei is so sweet. It's funny the fact that he never dated and was new to relationships but he is probably the best boyfriend i saw on dramas. I usually watch dramas where the main character is a jerk. The kisses were a little bad but apart from that I loved it.

Music: I did not pay so much attention to the music but I would notice if it was not good.

Rewatch Value: I have already rewatch like 3 times, so I think that is a good sign.

Overall: You must see this AMAZING drama, you will not be disappointed.

Let me acknowledge that I do not normally watch modern dramas, no matter who makes them. Let me also acknowledge that my best friend kept telling me it was very good show so I gave it a chance.

I think that the show was unique in its delivery of a plot around video games. This resonated with me, the viewer, because I play video games and I play them a lot. I enjoyed the in-world experience because it resonated with my love of historical dramas and fantasy. I liked that the story was about two people who loved one another unconditionally, and I liked how the male lead was so supportive.

The story is very sweet, with little conflict. It is more about how two people meet and fall in love. Because there were no conflicts or character growth, because both characters were so great, I lost interest in it. As a result, I would not re watch it and I would recommend it to people who prefer light love stories with a lot of fluff. There were no family problems in this show, nothing. It was just the natural growth of a healthy relationship. I would not compare it to Boss and Me because there is a ton more character growth and conflicts that they go through. But it has the same tone of two people who love one another unconditionally. And both leads respect one another. No one is encountering a mean or cruel partner, no one is trying to hurt the other in petty ways because of petty misunderstandings. I gave it an 8 because Love 020 was a great drama and delivers on what it promises. It just isn't my type. I try not to be biased. An example of another show that wasn't my type but I gave a low rating, for context, was Perfect Couple because I think that the drama was confused about what story it was trying to tell and it failed in what it delivered.

The series was amazing! There was no jealousy, no mistrust and especially no love triangle, which was probably one of the biggest pozitives of the show. I also loved the concept of it: the way they incorporated the gaming aspect was literally mind-blowing. I wish there were more scenes ingame, but overall, this was pretty good as well. The leads were great as well; the actress was pretty, and the male lead was very handsome. I loved the company aspect as well. I liked how they competed for projects and I found the episodes involving work exciting as well. A huge plus was the groups friendship. They created such a tight group, where they all trusted one another fully. I was a bit jealous, I wanted to be a part of a gang as well...
On the other hand, I'd like to name 2 negatives as well. While I overall liked the main leads, I found that the actor and actress had awful chemistry together. I unterstood that Zheng Shuang was playing an innocent college girl, but at the same time, she had the charisma of a pen. Their romatic scenes together were quite cringey.
The other thing I didn't like about this drama were the best friend of the main character and her love interest. Er Si was probably one of the most annoying characters of all time. I rewatched this series at least 5 times, but each time I skipped her scenes. She was whiny, annoying, childish and stupid. The show would have been a lot more enjoyable if the writers would have left her out all together. The same goes for her love interest, CaoGuang.
And it was heart-wrenching, watching how they abused that poor cat.
Overall, one of the best c-dramas I ever watched, definitely recommend it, I will definitely be rewatching it a few hundred times more.

This is a must watch! The story is centered around an online video game where our two leads meet. Of course, like any drama there is always a twist and this drama definitely brings plenty of it. The male character is very much your typical male, strong, assertive, skilled and your female is the same. They both have many common interest and I really liked how the obstacles they had to over come helped them develop their relationships. Of course, since this is a drama there are plenty of antagonist, however what drama wouldn't have some. Their supporting characters bring plenty to the story and help and support both leads. I really recommend you watch this drama; you will love it!

My First Drama Addiction

This was the first C drama I watched and I took my so long to get over "post drama syndrome"

I loved the simplicity of the storyline, it was sweet, uncomplicated and I loved every minute. Before this drama, I thought that every series had some sort of major plot twist with a harsh breakup or difficulties before a happy reunion, but Love O2O broke all those misconceptions.

PROS: no breakup, healthy relationship, sweet supporting characters and friendships, nice gaming/fantasy element, no really "bad" characters as they realized their mistakes and moved on with their lives, love at first sight, YANG YANG (need I say more?)

I will also note that I liked how this drama presented good morals as well. ML fell in love with FL not purely because she was beautiful but for her talent and skills, scheming characters eventually apologized for their mistakes, FL did not hold any grudges towards those that hurt her or were mean to her.

Always highly suggest this drama!

Note: the drama that finally pulled me out of post drama syndrome was My Little Happiness
