Most of the ratings are harsh lol. This is one of the most approachable type of C-drama where you don't need to stress yourself out just for entertainment.
This is literally my cup of tea when it comes to watching since my reason watching it in the first place is to de-stress and escape reality.

They said that Yangyang wasn't much here but I think he played the role perfectly. He clearly showed his confidence but not to the point of narcisism. Even Jing Boran wasn't able to portray Xiao Nai's confidence that well. Clear difference is when Boran lost his cool while presenting while Yangyang was calm even after what happened. The best point for me is how he trusted Weiwei (because how can you trust strangers more than your partner).

Zheng Shuang as Weiwei was also the best choice. (Except for the kiss lol how can you not respond to Yangyang). She clearly portayed that girly girl who can be easily misunderstood because of her brain, beauty and sweetness -how much more who would expect her to be a top gamer. In Angelababy's case, she was kinda tomboyish in the movie so you can imagine her being a gamer.

The only thing I was disappointed was how they never let Weiwei have her own time to showcase her smart brain except for multitasking studying, relationships, work and gaming. I would not consider her support to Xiaonai as work tho. She was clearly there because she knew Xiaonai can be cold to others so she took part in being the mom of the group. They could have let her have her own produced game or app or whatever she can do.

The drama can be clichè, cringe and it can also be not your type so don't expect them to do what you have in mind. This is not a slice-of-life genre. Don't need to be realistic.
This is for those who just want to think about nothing and let them enjoy their free time watching. Every character in the drama is too perfect to exist in real life anyways. So happy watching.

Watched 10 times in a month!

This was the first C-drama I watched and I became obsessed. As a sometimes gamer and retired IT worker, this kept my attention. Casting is great as well as the CGI with the in-game scenes. Yang Yang as Xiao Nai is perfect casting and I liked Zheng Shuang as Weiwei but she seemed to have lost a ton of weight after the first few episodes so her twig legs were a distraction for me (and I'm not usually like that). Loved the side couple of K.O. and Hao Mei! I'm sure I'll be watching this again as I can't get the OST out of my head -- so I had to buy it. :)

Guys honestly even after like the hundredths time watching this it’s still amazing definitely a 10/10
Love how the main couple has so much trust in each other like yasss that’s how everyone should be lol they’re goals af even if it’s just a character
They’re both very smart and handle things well, there’s no dumb moments for the main couple
The music wasn’t the best didn’t bring out much emotions imo but it’s still good
There’s really no annoying or crazy character here or a third person/love triangle which is why I love it so so much
Literally there needs to be a season 2 with my yangshuang after their married life as a couple like I need to know if they’re going to have kids n how many things like that since I’m nosy af about my #1 otp

Honestly in my Top 5 Asian Dramas of All Time

There weren't a lot of angsty moments or miscommunications (of course it's a drama so there needs to be SOME, but not a lot thank God). It's honestly just a drama that you can just watch again and again - I find myself coming back to this drama no matter how many other shows I watch.

One thing that stood out for me was the friendships - the relationships between characters were done really well, and there was a lot of humour in the show. Lots of characters that were really sweet, cute or charismatic and made you love them ie. Bei Wei Wei (female lead) isn't some helpless girl - she's smart, funny, awesome at gaming and she has a great sense of humour. ALSO THERE IS AN EVENTUAL POSSIBLE BL COUPLE AND THEY'RE ADORABLE (just saying).

Seriously, watch this show! Each ep is 45 mins and they fly by! AND you can watch it on Youtube with Eng subs. It's also worth finding the English translation of the original books, because the author has written several short side stories that take place in the future, and give a sense of completion to their story that I don't think the series did.

Personally I really enjoyed this show. I like fluffy, mainly non dramatic shows. Slice of life is too mellow, but this was cute and interactive enough to keep me interested!

I read a few negative reviews and all I could think was; wow, these people really love drama. There wasn't much in the show, so they created some in the reviews! I had to laugh and make my own review.

Overall, this show was very predictable, with Mary-sue qualities, good-hearted "villians", and some great supporting cast (aside from the really annoying side girls who gossip a lot, but maybe I really didn't like them because they were shallow, honestly the only part I didn't like of the show) but the little interactions and very subtle or little actual acting was really refreshing! I've seen so many dramas where the acting is so dramatic and over the top I might as well watch an anime, it would flow better. This one had very soft and cute realistic acting! It helps that the mains are really easy on the eyes. I was addicted to the show, mainly because it included video games and a cute non-conflicting and healthy romance. I tire of the complicated, heart-wrenching typical stories out there nowadays. If they're comedy based instead, I usually find it too embarrassing or over the top. This one was a nice balance!

Honestly, overall I really liked this drama. It made me happy. For some it wasn't enough, and that's okay! But if you like fluffy, non-painful and happy stories I would definitely recommend this! If you're looking for painful, unpredictable, dramatic, or ridiculous reactions, this is not your pick. Hopefully you find what you're looking for, I certainly did!

Don't Waste Your Time!

Story -1/10
There is nothing good in the story. It is too good to be true when you compare it to reality. The story is boring and I don't know why others love this drama so much. The story has no significant lesson and point.

Acting/Cast -3/10
The acting was cringe because of the plot. The casts may be attractive but this shouldn't be the only reason why others are giving this a high rating.

Music - 2/10
The music doesn't help at all in the watching experience.

Rewatch Value - 1/10
Never going to watch this drama again because of how cringe it is.

Overall - 2/10
I don't understand why this drama is rated so high. There is nothing interesting in this drama. Yes, it is cute and all but the story literally has no significant value. This drama is a waste of time. If you like wasting your time, then this is your drama :D

This drama is not like every other drama. Why? Because it is not fast paced nor has it too much drama. For someone like me who used to binge watch dramas a long time, and then got sick of all the stuff, I would recommend it to everyone else who feels the same way. This drama is sweet and slow paced. And you like to watch it with passion and are not too much afraid of the drama.

Yang Yang does a superb work in his acting. And so does Zheng Shuang. We can see both of them have the chemistry and somehow are perfect for the roles.

Xiao Nai is kinda like the handsome, a bit stalkiative ;), clever and cold Student, you just yearn for!

Wei Wei is the sweet girl from next door who has a fire in her heart that can't be stopped by whatever is coming onto her.

You guys just gotta try this out! I recommend it so badly! Watched it two times already and have it as audio books to listen in the train (I have Chinese ancestry).

I am not a heavy romance person, but this is one of the few romance drama I truly enjoyed. I ended up watching it in under a week.

Story/Characters:
My favorite part was that the romance did not contain the typical relationship drama portrayed in most of those I have seen. The addition of the characters being actually intelligent and able to work out differences through talking was refreshing. The drama does start slow but it does start to pick up later. I especially like the fact that it was a MMORPG as it was a new way to start a romance. The entire IT aspect was nice as there are very few dramas actually have characters in those areas. Characters were solid as their personality actually became a important to the story.

Cast:
I don't know the cast very much except for Yang Yang but overall I believe it was a excellent performance. I have heard of a few complaints over the more intimate scenes but it felt acceptable for me in terms of how their relationship and personality affected it.

Music:
Was not the greatest soundtrack in the world, but did not detract from the story or the characters.

Overall:
I consider this a excellent drama for is freshness and a showing a that a romance does not have to have all the ups and downs like most drama relationships. I would definitely watch it again as it renews my belief that relationships where people can put their whole trust in the other can exist

Please don't watch this. It is a complete waste of time

I have completed about 10 dramas by now. If I could me sum up Love O2O as a word, the most befitting word would be TRASH. This drama is overrated. I don't know how foolish can people be to be FANS of this 'waste of time'. Let me tell you my opinion in detail

WEI WEI

Liked-
Wei Wei is not a dumb woman like in most of the dramas. She is smart and knows how to get what she wants. Yeah she is virtuous too and handles many of her problems by herself unlike other dramas' female characters who tend to fall into problems everytime and their boyfriend comes to their rescue. Isn't that kind of portraying girls as stupid and helpless creatures??

Disliked-
In the drama, she is the ONLY female player who reached the top 10 but in an episode she is shown to be losing to Old Man Yu and again she needs her boyfriend to come to her rescue. Whenever Xiao Nai kisses her, she just stands there with her eyes open. In the first kiss one may say that okay it was an unexpected one but no, every kiss is like that, she just stands there with her eyes wide OPEN. I'm like IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU.

XIAO NAI

Liked-
NOTHING! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I don't know why girls are so crazy after this as*hole. His looks is the only thing I might like.

Disliked-
Yeah here starts the main faults
He is a freaking GOD. Remember my words, he isn't human, he is GOD. He is perfect in every single thing and his only flaw is that he cannot COOK. Like seriously? He treats like Wei Wei like a pet dog. In the last episode Wei Wei wanted to go with her friends but that freak didn't let her go. And the worst part is that Wei Wei didn't even object his decision. KO was a professional hacker but this Xiao Nai even surpassed him. He is the Basketball Champion, he is the Swimming Champion, he is the BEST in Computer Science field, he is the TOP player in the game too. Cao Guang was the Top student of the Foreign Department but Xiao Nai is shown to be MUCH BETTER than him too. I wanna ask the script writer, "Are you NUTS? ". If that freak is so talented then tell me what is he doing in the university? Studying? Or Teaching his teachers? Let me tell you I like cold characters like Fang Leng in My Girlfriend Is An Alien, Gu Wei Yi in Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Ryan Gold in Her Private Life etc. They were cold but they turn out to be absolutely caring and warm. Also they had FLAWS. But this man is the WORST character I have ever seen. Also the other girls in that university treat him as a celebrity. Whenever he is around they crowd him amd take his photos. He is a emotionless, over-possessive, impossibly talented. He is too UNREALISTIC.

OTHER CHARACTERS -
Er Xi is extremely bubbly. She is kinda simp. She may be cute but I don't like her. Old Man Yu, Hao Mei and the other friend are the ones which made me complete the drama rather than stopping it when I started kinda hating Xiao Nai.
Xiao Nai's friends are the BEST things in the whole drama. Their friendship is impressive, which I believe everyone will agree with me. Hao Mei is the BEST character here. He is also talented, funny with a impressive character.

The PLOT is absolute sh*t. Its completely bland and you'll lose your interest in watching this drama halfway. The music is good. Wei Wei, Hao Mei and Old Man Yu are the only ones acting in the whole series. Their relationship MAY be called HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP but it is way too good to be true.
Finally, I'll say IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO WASTE THEN WATCH IT. ITS COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC AND BORING!!

PS- This is my opinion. I know many FANS of Love O2O will disagree with me. But this drama is extremely tiring and nothing in this can ever be true!!

Love, sweetness, love, technology, video games, perfect boyfriend, love…

I don’t know how to describe the feeling with this drama, at the beginning I was too connected with it, but once I finished it, the feeling was not the same. I mean, I started to think about the plot in a different way.

The story is so beautiful, even I started to read the book, and the most amazing fact is that this drama is so faithful to the book, like extremely equal.

Yang Yang character is so hot, and the dream of every woman, he is like perfect. When I think it well, this drama deserves five stars, because is great how the story inside the video game and outside of it are so well created, but the story is so simple that it looks unnecessary long. I don’t have a favorite character in this drama, although I loved how gentleman was Xiao Nai , he is the perfect boyfriend in every single way, but thinking more about it, it seems like he always was a kind of pervert or I don’t know it was a little strange see some attitudes towards Wei Wei, but still it looks so romantic and cute (it’s weird).

The best part of their romance is there’s not a single fight or something, just them being cute and a strong couple. The only thing I probably hated was the fact that Wei Wei didn’t look like she was in love with Xiao Nai, he always was kissing her, but she never kiss him back, of course it was part of her personality according to the book, but come o girl!

The story is really creative, it reminded me of an anime called Sword Art Online somehow, maybe because they filmed it as if they actually enter the game world for real!! When the guy (I forgot his name so I would just call him the guy)  said he was preparing for his wedding was really cute as if he would be married in real life, it was just a game bruh LOL!! This drama is actually the first Chinese drama I watched after a very long time, and it got me completely HOOKED again!! and now I gotta find similar dramas to this one ASAP T.T

I have no complaint about this drama except that maybe if they can find a better actress for the main girl?? I don't dislike her, don't get me wrong it just that her acting was pretty stiff and seemed a little bit forced here :((  BUT still highly recommended!!

Story: A sweet and light love story. The difference? The focus on online games which gave the drama some fantasy element and the interaction between friends living in the campus. If you are saturated with too many complicated love stories, this is the drama that will give you a breath of fresh air. You'll find yourself smiling most of the time. One smile = alluring. Many smiles = Excellent! My congratulations to the writer who also happened to author Shan Shan Comes to Eat - another nice sweet romance drama worth your time. I'm off to re-watch it now!

Acting/Cast: At first I was a bit worried when Zheng Shuan was cast in the role of Wei Wei. The novel described Wei Wei as a beautiful young woman with the perfect body and frankly speaking, Zheng Shuan's not the best around when it comes to having curves where curves should be. The movie version of this drama cast Angelababy as Wei Wei which was closer to the description of Wei Wei in the novel. So, having watched the movie first - I had to adjust to seeing a mediocre-looking Wei Wei in the drama but after a few episodes, it became a non-issue as the story took precedence. The shining star here is Yang Yang. His boyish charm shone through. He alone pulled through the chemistry with his leading lady when Zheng Shuan was a little stiff to start with. Watch out for those scenic and romantic scenes....and kisses! The dialogues were also excellent!
