I first watched this in like March and finished it in April and I absolutely loved it esp Xiao Nai since he was so hot and perfect plus it was my first cdrama, only problems I had were with Er Xi with her annoying self and the kisses.
Fast forward a couple months to like July or August and I decided to rewatch it.

Big mistake I actually cant stand this drama anymore
Xiao Nai is still hot but way too perfect (I mean i'd still date but I want a little bit of reality happening)

Wei Wei was hard to watch the second time, I thought she was pretty at first but she looks so skull like in the drama like eat something.

The brickwall kisses still make me cringe its sad watching hotness make out with a wall smh.

Dont get me started on Er Xi I literally cannot stand that bish like Wei Wei drop her ass NOW. You are that stupid that you literally forget a username and decide to use your friends (red flag 1), You basically abuse a cat that already looks like its bout ready to jump out its fur and wonder why it bites you (red flag 2), You use your popular friends account and when people think that your Wei Wei, you blame her for it (red flag 3), You ruin school property for a project and try to blame it on someone else who tried to stop you and wonder why you have to pay the bill for it (red flag 4). Wei Wei its time to drop her.

I also dont understand how that girl made it into a college that prestigious? Like everyone pretty much knows not to turn on a device when there is liquid in it, and even if you dont know someone in her major should literally know that if someone not majoring in computer stuff knows that.

My main point is rewatching this made me realize how unrealistic this is and the only relationship i stan is Hao Mei and KO

This is what you call a HEALTHY relationship

I love love LOVE the fact that both of the main couple are so understanding and have amazing communication and chemistry and dont jump to conclusions when drama arises.the fact that the ML didnt believe any of those villains lies and only believed weiwei shows how much he trusts her and i love the fact that weiwei actually TELLS THE TRUTH WHEN ASKED A QUESTION. I hate FL that hide problems from ML for no reason, if your in a relationship you need to have communication. And this couple actually proved that! She tells him who meets her, what she says to the person, and doesnt leave info out. She tells the whole truth without hiding important details. And no misunderstanding break ups half way because of no trust and communication.i also like that when xiao gets jealous he doesnt get possesive but just quietly hints that hes jealous and he doesnt take that jealousy to heart. And the chemistry is just off the charts. The only thing i didnt like is the way weiwei kisses, Xiao kisses with passion but weiwei.. kinda is just a fish and not even moving her mouth... its not that bad tho. This is one of the best cdramas ive watched.i highly recommend it if you want a couple with alot of chemistry with no sad break ups, and drama that doesnt affect their love AT ALL. A healthy relationship.

Storyline was basic.

I liked the movie version with Angelababy a lot better. ML and FL no chemistry between the two. The movie was far more entertaining. Yang Yang always seems too tense and I always think he looks like a poodle when I look at him in dramas. Arrogant and wooden in his character persona and expressions are lifeless. Too bad I have seen a lot of his dramas and his characters are always the same. 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱

" Love O20 " was not what I was expecting for a popular series like this one.

The drama had an odd plot, with the main couple's meeting through a video game, and most of their romantic moments were in that virtual world. The video game scenes were actually well-executed, though the fighting scenes were boring. However, they got less and less as the drama proceeded and they got non existing in the end. The love story was boring too. They started thinking that they were an actual couple just because they got married in the game. The romantic scenes were off too, as the only thing that they actually did was stare at a screen in reality. Anyway, the college part was fun and the groups of friends were pretty adorable and funny. However, that didn't last long either. The business mystery trope was boring too. Finally, the couple was good looking, but their performances were not that great. The leading lady's friend was pretty cute too, however, her love partner was a bit of a j**rk.

So, overall, three out of ten.

Calm and nice.

This is how I would described Love O2O. Nothing more, nothing less. To be honest, there is not much to say about the serie 😅 Even though it has 24 episodes, not much happens there. Unfortunately, the producers did not do their best. The story is interesting and seems to be like a cute chinese High School Musical Drama .... about gamers 😆

Two other love stories are woven between the slowly developing romance. Together with scenes from "The Chinese Ghost Story" the series happens to be more interesting. Problem is that Love O2O is more meant for teenagers than for adults. It is extremely 💘sweet and innocent💝 and it's even too much at some point. It is saturated with awkward hugs, random kisses and funny heroes' conversations trying to relieve the tension between them (and their bodies because after all they're over 20! ). The most brutal action takes place in the game 😂 where characters constantly fight monsters. It is an interesting cutscene in the series, it distracts from its reality. Even if you do not like this type of filming, it is worth focusing on the game because it introduces some important information to the plot.

Mother of Lackluster Endings

First time writing a review, pardon the lack of technicalities. This drama was a classic case of starting strong and ending flat. What began as a promising heart-thumping case of all rounder ML chasing all-rounder FL, went into far too complex technical details of the behind-the-scenes going ons of a video game development to a Government backed advertisement of the ideal Chinese married couple values (no hate to either, it's just my perception of what the drama was looking like from episodes 25-30).
The FL starts out strong, independent, head set straight, and the drama eventually makes her a tea-serving obedient idyllic faithful woman sidekick of the successful ML.
As mentioned in some comments, one could totally skip episodes 10 to 20 and start from episode 21 and you wouldn't really have missed a thing. First time a drama gave me such a strong sense of watching a filler instead of a drama.
Not to blame the FL's wooden acceptances of some really passionate kisses by the ML (it's probably how the director wanted her to portray the kisses - demurely as if she was being devoured or something), but it honestly didn't do justice to the ML as the entire sorry attempt seemed uncomfortable and forced onto the FL.
The entirety of this drama could have been condensed into 10 episodes of 1 hour each and still done justice to the storyline. Poor re-watch value. Perhaps the movie would serve for a more fulfilling watch.

I think like a lot of reviews on here, this drama really is a hit or miss.

If you're looking for a well-written, deep and meaningful drama, then this ain't for you. If you're looking for a drama you can put on without much thinking, and just want to see some pretty people in an overly sugar sweet fantasy world - then this is for you.

It's very clear that this drama is directed at a young/teenage girl demographic, because I know that if I was 8-10 years younger, I would definitely have been OBSESSED with this drama. As someone already in my 20s, already experienced college life, already has a full-time job, already experienced romance and being in relationships - this drama is merely a fantasy that will never happen in real life.

The only reason I personally watched this drama was because I'm a Yang Yang fan, but as someone who has been watching dramas for 10+ years, this is by far one of the most unrealistic, full of plot-holes, average acting, lacking in substance, super cringe dramas I've ever seen (the amount of times I've rolled my eyes). No one on this Earth can be that perfect, no romance can be that smooth-sailing, nor rich nor successful.

BUT don't get me wrong I'm not a hater. The reason I gave it a 7/10 overall, is that it was also a nice "feel-good" drama, where I could get lost in Yang Yang's looks, reminisce about college/Uni/dorm life, relive the butterfly in your stomach feeling; but that is there is all there is to it.

As long as you're able to look past all the unrealistic aspects and flaws of the drama, it's enjoyable to an extent. I was still hooked nonethtless.

Not my cup of tea

i have high expectations towards this movie…

when i saw Yang Yang i was like “ooo whos dat?!??” and tried to watch this series.

sadly, i decided to drop this one. the ML is too weird in this movie, whats with this cool and aloof expression anyway???

the FL is just… nah. whats with her pouty expression?? a lot of it and makes me sick.

sorry yang yang, this one is just not for me.

other than that, i like the relationship between ML dan FL. they build their relationship based on trust. love it.

Thanks best drama I've ever watched.

Why:
It's not a complicated drama. It makes you smile almost evey time.
The story is exactly my style.
The cast is perfect.
The song was really fitting. It made you feel really excited.

The only thing that I don't really like is that they take the gaming VERY seriously. I'm not a passionate gamer so it depends on the person. But the gaming was one of the best things in the story really.

Xiao Nai is a gaming expert who, courtesy of his basketball skills, academic excellence, swimming talent and game company presidency, also happens to be the most popular student on campus. When he first comes across the gorgeous computer science major Bei Wei Wei, the infinitely talented wunderkind immediately falls in love. But it’s not Wei Wei’s looks that he notices; it’s the ridiculous mastery with which she is commanding her guild and owning everyone in an online multiplayer game that makes her impossible to forget. Now, Xiao Nai must use his skills both in real life and online to capture the adorable but dorky Wei Wei’s heart. But does their love have the XP to succeed, or will this relationship never level up?

I'm gonna confess, I'm not the perfect viewer to chinese dramas but this really make me realize two things:
1. I have no problem focusing in long dramas
2. I can be patient with the right plot and drama.

Since the first episode to the end, gonna say is cute, lovely, and NORMAL. And yes when I say normal, I mean about two people falling in love (ofc, in this case is a drama and always will be a drama) as a normal couple. Without dramatic plot twist, or mean people around (well, I'm not saying they decided delete all the stereotypes haha). And that's what I was waiting for, because sometimes even when I want to run away from my real life and escape to dramaland , in others I also need to watch a realistic and cute couple thing, as all these living in harmony around us.

I you want a refreshing and lightly drama, This is your drama!!!

Story 9/10
CHdrama needs to be better producing a drama.
But overall, the drama is good , the plot is plain but refreshing, and the leads have a good chemistry.

Gamers on board,
See ya!

this is one of the best chinese romantic drama i have ever seen and actually rewatched many times

to start with the cast i think they have done the best job because they have portrayed the best chemistry within the friends and also the lead couple.
the overall story is also very unique about how young people start and achieve their goal.
best friend of the FL the one with short hair is a bit annoying at times because she doesn't think before taking actions
i have seen this drama many times maybe because i have a fantasy of such amazing friends and love-story.
so yes definitely go for this drama you will enjoy it

I kept seeing this drama pop-up for months without really bothering to watch it but oh boy do i regret it now.
This one left me with a feeling of emptiness rarely felt before, there's no over-the-top drama, the main couple communicated and faced problems head on without doubting each other and I just *sigh* it's so simple yet it's brilliant.
I decided to watch the first episode as a way to procrastinate studying for my exams and 30 episodes later I wanted to go back and re-watch it all over again.

The main leads were too perfect but that's just what the story's about - two perfect people meeting each other (although the kiss scenes were a bit...).
There's also a side BL story that wasn't explored as much as I wished but with China's censorship roles I'm not surprised (I ended up reading the translated novel to realise they were in fact together in the book and they were too effin cute)

Overall, it's been less than 24hours and I'm itching to re-watch it just to melt from all that lovey dovey action.
