I watched it in less than a week because I kept watching compulsively.
Episodes have just the right length, it does not drag.
The main couple was adorable, their friends were fun and the game sequences so much fun.
Also... I loved how much Nai and WeiWei trusted each other. Once they got together there was no room for doubts between them and they always had each other's back
The background of the game business was different. And I loved how they wrapped pretty much all the characters.

Life is too short for stressful drama.
Life is too short for stressful drama. Why spend all that time watching and be stressed? Don’t our lives already provide enough of that?Summary of the series:
- Light hearted rom/com; series had great flow
- simpatico characters
- villains are kept at bay easily, no long struggles, calamity or miscommunications to cause more drama and stress
- a bit outrageous on how the ML gets so much attention, but I get its fiction
- ending was not done succinctly, but wanted to extend it a bit more to enjoy the ML/FL together more after getting officially together
Very enjoyable, stressless series: recommended to watch for sure
If you are looking for gratuitous stress/drama, frequent miscommunications, abrupt ending, insipid side stories, then this is not for you.

This Is a Great Drama
Some people have problems with the ML's behavior. they try to analyze his every move putting bad motives with it. That in my opinion is plain stupid, yes I said stupid. the ones commenting couldn't have written or produce a better drama. so get over yourselves & your negativity. watch the drama for it's entertaining values. You don't have to watch it if you don't like it, but don't sit there and try to nit pick. To me this was a really great drama. One of those gems you keep on list of favorites do you can rewatch at you leisure. Some people just don't have anything better to do. So they sit criticize, analyzes and try to pontificate. My. Favourite. Drama.
I have been watching k/c/jdramas for 14ish years now, but I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan. I have issues finishing shows, so the number of dramas I have finished are small considering how long I've been watching.But I adore Love 020. I have rewatched this start to finish, and have rewatched my fav episodes as a mood booster in the past.
What I loved:
1. Capable Female Lead: not only is she book smart, she has a high EQ so I never feared for second hand embarrassment. Cute and dumb characters are fine but I hate watching avoidable, stupid scenes. You may be asking yourself, but if the FL is so perfect how can there be any drama? You would be partially right.
2. No Melodrama: Because the FL is capable, the show keeping crazys to a minimum, and no ridiculous miscommunications, there was no melodrama. NO hateful in-laws, jealous evil suitors, disapproving friends. There is drama - lots of problems and goals pop up that the main leads work together or alone to solve. These scenes give the relationship and the characters ways to mature that all seems natural and realistic. But overall this is a lighter, fluffier show.
3. The FL has a girl squad: How many shows have a female lead with MULTIPLE friends. All distinct and likeable so they don't just fade into the background. I have always found FL's with real friends (not lackeys) soo likeable. The ML has his own guy squad too but thats more normal in dramas. The ML friends are all secondary leads so they're in every episode and really cute and supportive.
4. Smoking hot ML: Yang Yang is perfect. nuff said
5. Gaming life: I don't play video games, but this read like a fantasy to me - ie interesting world building with in game social life and etiquette. I love fantasy books, but prefer modern dramas to period ones, so this was really cool for me.
Dislikes..? Nothing much, though I will say the latter half has less tension but is still a great watch. Also the secondary couple scenes can get a bit draggy. The show gave the novel a lot of padding (like the secondary couple) to lengthen it to drama length, but I find I like the drama more than the book and most of the scenes added make sense.
If you're an anxious watcher like me, this show will be like a cooling balm for your nerves :D

A Wholesome Drama I Often Rewatch
There are many things I absolutely love about this drama.The first would be the mature relationship between the Xiao Nai and Bei Wei Wei. It is a relationship filled with trust, communication and just pure adoration for one another, which is a combo I feel is often lacking in many dramas. Furthermore, it felt real and natural, which just made it more effective and enjoyable overall.
The second thing I absolutely love about this drama is the friendships. Literally all the friendships depicted with the main cast is really wholesome. It is supportive, fun, lighthearted and just a depiction of genuine friends.
The third thing I love about this drama is the way it depicts emotions such as sadness, pain and anger. There was a really natural and realistic depiction of it throughout the drama in various contexts (at least within the main cast). Considering many drama have this tendency to make such scenes over dramatic or lacking a realistic feel, I really appreciated it.
The final point, which has less to do with what was in the drama, than what was not in it. There was no over jealous reactions from the main leads, no parents who didn't agree with the couple being together or were constantly intervening, no suspected cheating drama, no "breakup and makeup" between the couple. These are some things that gets on my nerves fairly quickly when watching dramas, and it is something you find a lot in Chinese romance dramas.
Which is one of the reasons why I love this drama and keep coming back to it time and time again. Its such qualities which make it unique.
Now I have seen some poor reviews (someone else has given this a three out of ten), so I don't know if this is something everyone will love. But personally it was exactly what I needed from a romance drama.

the overall story is good from the starting it will make an exctiment and also make you to watch it continuosly.weiwei is actually active she perform her character very ewll when it comes to playng game and hanging out with friends but when it comes to romance she seems to be newbie she never feelos the passion behind the romance with xiao na she always seems to be stuck in betweek him and the wall and only acts like a victim who is forfully been kissed or having a romance i dont know why the director didnt notice this or all this was their actually plan but she is really not good in romance so when will you watch you will seems to be dispointed in that but overall whole story is good an also interesting and also i like to ask the cast of this drama which girl in 2016 is going to live without a smartphone for a whole semester . i will refer to watch this drama it will surely make you fall in love for c drama.

Great potential but becomes repetitive and paternalistic
As a preface, I did enjoy this series overall. It was mostly a fun watch if you ignore the extreme paternalism and the repetitive story line.I'm an avid online gamer and like romance dramas so I thought this would be the best of both worlds.... unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case. While I did find the first 10 episodes interesting, it starts to trail off toward the end. Not that the tone of the story actually changes much, it just becomes much more obvious on how patriarchal the series really is.
Both of the leads, Wei Wei and Nai are supposed to be very intelligent compSci students, yet every episode merely emphasizes their claim to fame as being how beautiful/handsome they are...repeatedly. While later episodes do highlight Nai's intelligence, they barely give Wei Wei any credit other than being a pretty face. When she interns at Nai's company, they spend a couple minutes of screen time having her handle some testing and creating a proposal doc for a gaming subsystem, but for the vast majority of the time, she is relegated to bringing food to the team and other office manager tasks. And in a scene where Nai is working on solving a complex compSci problem, instead of having Wei Wei be interested in the problem, she just sits there and stares doe eyed at Nai.
Wei Wei is also supposedly very skilled within the online game....and she does crush her opponents when those opponents are other females. As soon as she is up against a male opponent, Nai needs to step in to save her.
Wei Wei's friend group is even worse. They mostly talk about boys or other girls. They often talk about studying yet they are never shown actually doing any programming. ErXi may be the worst...while her character is cute, she seems incapable of doing anything herself...despite supposedly being at a top tier university. She is also the target of the 'Mean' girls always berating her looks.... standard issue of a beautiful actress supposedly portraying a plain girl.
The romance part of the story is not much better. No basis is really given for why they like each other originally other than they are both 'beautiful people'. While they do show Nai watching Wei Wei play the game briefly, that isn't really a solid reason for falling in love with someone.
Once they start dating, things actually get a bit worse. While their relationship is generally a good one, it is extremely paternalistic. Wei Wei always defers to Nai and needs to be 'saved' by him. When they are together, many of Nai's gestures toward Wei Wei feel more like a parent to child than as a romantic partner. That is not to say that Nai takes away Wei Wei's agency or otherwise overtly tries to control her. It is more that he is completely confident in his own abilities and Wei Wei voluntarily submits and defers to him.
There is one Red Flag moment when Nai is consoling Wei Wei over her fight with ErXi. He discounts her relationship with Erxi saying “...she's only a small part of your life. I'm your everything.” He also claims they'll never fight and will always be happy. That she should never cry about anyone ever again and that he'll never make her cry.
Their kissing scenes also leave a lot to be desired. She is often wide eyed, unmoving, arms at the side while he actually is trying for a good romantic kiss. This isn't an issue where Nai is 'taking advantage' of Wei Wei – she is a willing partner that is, for some reason, standing like she's not.
Finally, the Mean Girl clique is rather overdone and becomes repetitive.
To end on a positive, the interactions of Nai's friend group (roommates) is fantastic. Their banter and pranks are exactly what a group of friends like that would do.
As I started, I did find the series overall an interesting watch. I am just very disappointed because it could have been so much better.

Great ML and cool premise/concept but wasted on corny acting from certain cast members.
Writing this in 2026 might not seem fair, but this drama aged terribly. I love games and I watched this show because I love the premise, and I think the story delivered. There were a lot of sweet moments but the acting from the female cast is quite terrible which breaks my immersion. Both Zheng Shuang and Mao Xiao Tong are gorgeous, but Yang yang's passionate kisses are totally wasted on Zheng Shuang given that she acts with the open eye shock and zero response during their alone-scenes.The wardrobe team also doesn't do a great job but I will not fault them on this since fashion and drama style changes.
Production quality is pretty ok, and cinematography is a pass. The acting at times are sometimes over the top (especially from the females), and it's a bit cheesy and corny to watch since no one in real live acts like this.
From a pacing perspective, the earlier episodes were more interesting and the last 10 were a drag, I watched them in 1.5x speed. Not interesting and no story.
This is a personal take, but I also was quite uncomfortable with how emaciated the FL looks :(
It's hard to give this drama more than a 7. I found myself struggling to get past the next 10 eps. I still think the pacing and plot is not too bad, but this has unfortunately not aged well for a 2026 watch.

YOO WHATS THIS KINKY SHIT ON MY SCREEN
Watched this drama like years ago so my memory is like hazy but the only thing I remember is like them being insanely annoying and the ML kinda rubbing off as obnoxious maybe cause I found the acting abit stiff but still the romantic scenes for some reason always came off as quite kinky like these 2 could js be making eye contact and it felt wrong to look like that was deffo an intimate moment. Also I hate that they make ML like this untouchable dude like cmon now he's like 22 bro does not know anything, he's barely an adult and this is actually a trend in many Cdramas - I need this trend to die like no uni student is that way les be honest with ourselves for a second. I know its just a drama but that's abit too unorthodoxBack to the main drama; they freaky like too freaky call me a prude idgaf it was always too intimate for a romcom Cdrama
