OMG THIS WAS SO PERFECT! Definitely a rewatch. This had me smiling the whole time, and it didn't have the annoying LOVE TRIANGLE! Gosh, I almost always hate it when drama use it, but luckily this one didn't. But anyway, this drama was just amazing form the get go, and at first I didn't want to watch it, because I thought it was going to be the same old plot of a happy go lucky annoying girl who goes back in time, and blah blah cliche plot...WRONG!
The female main was amazing funny, not useless, and completely relatable. And the main male lead was so amazing! I love his character and his little facial expressions. The actors here did a very good job. And the ending had me go YESSSS!! Finally at least it was realistic and the characters didn't have to sacrifice anything, to have a happy every after.
If 2 episodes dramas are this good, there needs to be more. But hey, what are you doing still reading reviews for? Go ahead and watch this already, and I promise you, you won't regret this.
And if you are familiar with some of the music here, you're fall in love with this drama even more. Squeal~ Happy drama watching! <3

This little drama was so sweet!

Ok, the story itself is not a new one. It's not really a surprise how it will turn out. But nevertheless it was quite enjoyable. And at some point I WAS a bit surprised because for some seconds I really thought the ending would be another than what I was anticipating. A little turn of events that made my heart beat faster.

I think what I enjoyed most was this kind of Joseon. Everything was a little lighter, the atmosphere was not as dark and intriguing as in those other more serious historical dramas. Not so much whispering and treason and whatever. The plot was more focused on the young king and the girl. The development of their relationship was so amusing and sweet and I caught myself smirking everytime they were together. I smiled along with them alot, when they were happy about something. But there were also some sad moments where I almost cried.

I liked the acting alot, esp. the king (although he was not an eye candy for me). Still, he convinced me and earned my recognition since he was partly responsible for that sweet romance that both lead actors displayed so well. (But seriously, do you know the feeling when you think the Joseon style looked better on the guy than the present one? :'D)

Ah, don't forget about the little reference to another historical drama that made me giggle in delight.

(Music rating is a bit low because although it wasn't bad, it could have been a little better, something to remember)

Have you ever felt not wanted? Did you feel like you have no self-worth? Did you try very hard on things, only for it to fail?

This is the story of Dan Bi. At one point in our lives we all want to run away. Run away from the responsibillities in our lives. And Dan Bi did just that.

I get it, the drama appeals for many due to the sweet romance. It's also really cute. But the one thing that striked me the most about this drama, was beneath all the romance there was a deeper issue.

Proving yourself in todays society is a necessity, and not all are equally good at it. Does that mean you have no worth to the world? Splash Splash LOVE addresses this with a subtle answer to the viewer.

This drama is as much about Romance as it is in resolving Da-Bi's issue about feeling incompetent. The show complements this by making her feel useful and finding people who appreciate her worth. It's about appreciating what you have, and making the best of it.

Yoon Doo Joon and Kim Seul Gi deliver a great performance, they have some great chemistry and it sure shows during the airing of the episodes. The amount of episodes complement this drama really well. Instead of dragging it out, they keep it to the point. Because of this you will find it hard to get bored during the two episodes.

So should you watch this drama? I'd say yes. The sweet story along with self-worth discory makes this for a great watch. Considering it's only two episodes long makes it more attractive too.

If you like romance, you should definitely watch this, because you are in for a treat if you do.

A girl going back in time to flee from her exams is meeting the king of Joseon and has now to help him getting rain back in his land - and slowely, by every second they are together, their feelings are growing.
But her place is in the future and his in the past...
Even though the story is already not the newest and the policians of the king are getting on every nerve this was possibly the best short drama without a love triangle I've ever seen.
Nope not possibly...

The Acting is great, the cast is just pretty, there was not a single moment I had to laugh because of the naivity behind someones lines. There were funny moments because of which I had to stop the drama because I couldn't see the subtitles clearly while laughing.
I never expected this drama to have such funny moments, after tons of serious historical drama episodes without any moment of laughing I did not expect those "jokes" and laughed even harder.
There weren't any unneeded details. It was just so pretty. No unneeded flashbacks, no fillers, just one simple story going on - faster and prettier than I would ever expect of an "historical" drama. It was simply beautiful.

Happy moments, funny moments, sad moments, romance... every moment was cherished and not destroyed by to loud music which didn't fit with the situation or unneeded dialog/monolog.
And when the music stepped in then it fits, and hows the hidden thoughts of the girl. What else would you wish for? fitting music which not only makes the athmosphere but also steps in for the hidden monolog inside of the protagonists head, which was in many other dramas said out loud and destroyed the moment.

I'm not praising this drama for nothing. Those 2 episodes, those 2 hours of pretty athmosphere and beautiful good acting are nothing less then 10 out of 10 points/stars. Even if it was short, yust think about this: how would it be with another 20 episodes only consisting of fillers and then destroying this beautiful ending? No thanks, then I shall rather have only 2 beautiful hours of 100% story.

I wanna rewatch it already. So, give it a try! It's not sooo long and even if you don't like historical storys or timetravelling this much - it's worth it.
Make an opinion yourself. I can only say, that I liked it really really much, everything (exept the politicians...)

I was really curious at the beginning when I found out about this show. It just seemed worth seeing! So I watched it and it just made me laugh so much and without noticing I fell for the characters.

The chemistry between the main actors is amazing and the story is just so cute and fun that I couldn't stop watching and ended up finishing it !

Don't look at it as if it would be just a normal historical romance drama, it is original and fresh!
I totally recommend this for everyone, as it will include funny scenes, romantic ones and also intense ones.

The music was beautifully placed and completed this wonderful drama, of only 2 episodes. Yes, most of wonder how it could end after only 2 episodes! It just makes you wish for more.

In conclusion, I am sure you will love this drama. Just give it a try.

Objectively speaking, this isn't that good. I mean, I know I'm supposed to have some suspense of disbelief when watching a time travel drama, but this felt a little not thought out to me. I don't know, I thought the FL was quite annoying and her actions were at least bizarre when thinking about the situation she found herself in. She felt too much like a kid and had little to no critical thinking skills. She's 19! That's not *that* young!
The romance itself was cute at best, but not compelling. The ML was okay, they were sweet. But then again, the choices made were so far-fetched that I couldn't connect with them.
With all that being said, I love time travel plots and how the characters manage to adapt to another time period, so the rating could never be very low lol

Perfect mini series for one evening

This is my 1st review on this app, but I just could not not do it! This 2-episode series was perfect for what I was looking for: something light, easily digestible and cute. Only meant to watch the first episode tonight, but ended up hooked until the very end.

Sure, you need to suspend your disbelief to fully enjoy a high schooler teaching a Joseon king some maths, but that's what drama is for. Some confusing editing made the storytelling feel rushed at times, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment.

My first time seeing the leads, and already added some of their more recent dramas to my watchlist! This drama is definitely going on my rewatch list too, I found myself chuckling at some scenes and crying at others.

Recommended if you're looking for cute lil romance to fill a rainy afternoon!

The thing about Korean dramas is, sometimes there's not enough story to fill the number of scheduled episodes, and other times there's too much story and not enough episodes to cover all the stories. Thank goodness for this show, which shows that when a story and its characters are plotted properly, a simple drama can start off on the right foot and be wrapped up neatly at the end of it.

This is not the first drama I have seen Kim Seul Gi and Doojoon in. They are both actors and seem to be good at getting the right chemistry with their fellow actors. They are really cute together in this show.

The concept of this drama is not 100% unique. There are a few drama tropes like time travel, cross-dressing, and high school pressures. But we all know that when the tropes are used in the right way in a drama, it can still be a very enjoyable watch. Although the female lead character is a high school student, the themes of wanting to escape a miserable reality and realising your true potential are relatable on all levels.

I think this show will be a great watch and source of respite for hardened Korean drama viewers who are tired of watching the same tropes being used in the same way again in drama after drama, or of episode extensions with too much filler and no storyline progress. A short but refreshing watch!

Gender bender!
This drama was exactly what I needed. I really enjoyed giggling through this.
Kim Seul Gie is great, of course. I like the idea of her not being a good student in modern times but in Joseon times it doesn't matter because she is still going to know much more than the most advanced scholar.
Her personality is both cute and confrontational. She takes over the historical world with her modern attitude. Her audaciousness is so fabulous. I mean, she doesn't lose the Kim Seul Gie charm even when she's telling off the king, so you know this is going to be darn good.
The relationship with the king is a cracker. He appreciates her forwardness and bluntness but he also gets the brunt end of it too.
I really loved the historical moments of this drama as well. I normally don't appreciate history but it was pretty darn epic!

I thought this was very clever and funny. Loved the leads and their chemistry and I enjoyed the story. It was quick simple, get to the point enjoyment. The female lead is very funny and I almost wanted the drama to be longer but I think sometimes less is more. Why drag it out when it doesn't need to be dragged out. Thumbs up. Lotss of funny scenes and worth the watch.

This is one of the best dramas I`ve ever watched
I randomly came over it and decided to watch it since it was just 2 episodes, now I wish it was longer. I usually find at least one thing I really dislike about dramas, especially romantic ones, but while watching this drama I couldn`t really find anything I hated about it. The actors did an amazing job and I loved watching the interactions between the two leads, it was so sweet and funny to watch and I either laughed or smiled almost the entire time watching. Also, I'm so glad that after watching a dozen K-dramas I finally find a female lead that seems like a normal person, she actually act s like a normal girl and that makes it so easy to like her. She`s not flawless and fragile or a strong kick-ass woman, she`s just a normal girl and I find it refreshing to see a female character that acts like a girl you could actually meet on the street.
It's a short, sweet and refreshing drama to watch and I would definitely rewatch it.

If you're feeling tired and you just want to chill out then you should watch this drama! Short, funny, interesting, it has it all to keep you hooked even if it's for a short period. The acting is awesome, and Doojoon just made my heart flutter, he totally delivered! Kim seulgi....what can I say...she's really a breath of fresh air: she's sweet, funny and she really hit it off with the male lead. All korean dramas should be like this, and I didn't wish it was longer, I like it the way it is, short but it had everything that you wish to see in a drama.

Watch it! You won't regret it! :)
