Love is Love

Amazing lakorn, I really love it and enjoy the ride even if contains the usual clichés: most of the caracters scream a lot instead of talking, acting like histerical people. This is one of the things that I cannot understand in asian dramas, including Thai series. Why people act like they are always loosing their minds by sreaming all the time, beating each other all the time and females leaders and/or support leaders acting like they are children always having a tantrum....

I've seen some of the dramas starring this couple but this is my favourite one until now. Nadech is fabulous here, he deserved a Oscar with this character, because it plays the female role perfectly beter than YaYa when she plays the male role.
The support roles are also good at acting. I've loved all the characters even the villan

If you want to laugh and like action and romance so I say this is for you to watch.

Leh Lub Salub Rarng was a drama that I'd been looking forward to, ever since it was announced. Partly because of NY, and partly because of the promising storyline. And despite having high expectations, I'm glad to say that I enjoyed it. For the most part.

PLOT: This is a lakorn about two people who are far from the ideal image they put on for others to see. One is conceited and self-absorbed, while other is unfaithful and looks at women as an object. The story is about how heaven punishes them for their sins by switching their souls. They panic, they cry, they get angry, but eventually decide to accept the fact that they had to live like that until they could go back to being normal. Both try to act each other's roles but not very convincingly. Going through all the obstacles make them learn to trust, respect and eventually love each other.

The highlight of body-switching dramas, for me, is the comedy. And the actors delivered it perfectly. Specially Nadech & Yaya, since the comedy scenes were mostly with one or both of them. And Mor, can't forget him. He was really funny, a good supporting actor. The drama, however, fell short in the romance department.

CHARACTERS & ACTING:
Petra Pawadee (Yaya) is a superstar, the 'Pearl of Asia' to be exact. To the world, she is the picture perfect nang'ek, and everyone loves her. But in truth, she is too arrogant of her beauty and her achievements. So much so, that she thinks everyone, form her manager to her costars, is below her. Yaya portrayed her character perfectly, specially after the switch. The 'manly' Petra was hilarious to watch. The way she walked in her heels, her monotonous and wooden acting that had everyone's mouth left agape, her interview- everything was done perfectly. Her actions scenes were flawless. This role just reaffirmed my love for Yaya.

Captain Ramin (Nadech) is a police officer, who risks his life to save others. But he's also a playboy, who likes to sleep around while already having a girlfriend. There was a time or two, or maybe more, when I actually wanted to punch him, mostly when he would lie to his girlfriend without breaking a sweat. There were two things that kept me going. First, that it was Nadech. And second, because the character development was the main plot of the drama. And the fact that his character annoyed me just showed how good of a job Nadech was doing. Fortunately enough, my annoyance didn't last long. Because the focus of the drama changed from establishing their faulty characters to showing us how they managed the body switch. Answer? Hilariously! Nadech as Petra never failed to crack me up. From the tone of his voice, his ridiculous outfits to his feminine way of walking, everything had me laughing out loud. Nadech did a brilliant job pulling off both characters.

Akom (Tor)...is a sweetheart. He's Ramin's subordinate as well as his friend. It's obvious that he is in love with Ramin's fiancée, but he never lets it show. My one complain about his character is that I wished he actually did something, anything except daydreaming. He did that a lot.

Nok Yoong (Ice) is Ramin's fiancée. The girl who refuses to see the faults of her boyfriend, even if the evidence is right in front of her eyes. Realistically speaking, if faced with a similar situation, I'm sure a lot of people would probably react that way. But that doesn't mean that it wasn't, sometimes, a bit annoying to watch. A bit annoying side characters like Aum, Tom, Ji-eun. Useless and pretty irritating.

OST: Both songs on the OST were good enough. Although nothing great, it was still an OK listen.

THE NEGATIVES:
- The romance factor doesn't really set in until the very later episodes. And even then it's not very well pronounced.
- Somewhat sloppy editing and directing. It had the potential to be a lot more, but at some points, fell short.
- It was too short. Given only 10 episodes, no matter the duration, the drama wasn't able to explore other characters other than the main leads. Hence, some characters aren't very fleshed out. They didn't have enough time to show exactly HOW much the leads had changed. Not to mention that the story seems rushed at certain points.

-The ending is somewhat...unusual. It didn't really work for me, but it could for you, so go in it with an open mind.

THE POSITIVES (a.k.a why you should give this a chance):
- The whole vibe of this show is so very different from a typical lakorn. Ofcourse, typical lakorns are just as, or sometimes more, interesting to watch. But if you're looking for something different, this is for you.
- NY did such a tremendous job, and I just cannot praise them enough. And their chemistry is as awesome as ever!
- It will have you laughing out loud at the lead's actions. They are both hilarious!
- With only 10 ep, it won't take much of your time. If you're looking for a short (as compared to other lakorns) watch, this is for you.

That's it for the review. I hope you give this a try! Happy Watching!!

With a professional cast, uniqe plot and the best co-stars ever,NY is back after three years with another unforgettable lakhorn!

Nadech and Yaya will always be my favourite couple. With their 5-star performances as the brave but flirty Captain Ramin and the beautiful but bratty Petra Pawadee they stole our heart with their electric and warm chemistry in this crazily funny, cute and exciting lakhorn. This one made me both laugh and cry hard,i always cry when it comes to suffering of NY`s characters..i always feel with them. Had waited for over one year for this lakhorn..and it has not disappointed me. NY are the best!

Honestly this lakorn had so much potential but it fell short because of the bad editing, the messy plot & the lack of episodes. I loved NY in this & I think it really showed their skills. NokYoong was sooooo annoying & I skipped a lot of her scenes. Akom was alright. Petra's manager was even more annoying.
Some episodes were pointless & really made the lakorn drag so I think they should have cut out some episodes. Like I mentioned, the editing was sloppy and if this lakorn had the average number of episodes that lakorns usually have, it would have been better.

After a few times watching Thailand drama series I became in love and hooked. This drama series I accidentally found it and it turns out all the top Thai actor / actress, Nadech Kugimiya one of my favorite actors. Yaya Urassaya, the first time I saw her, and she was beautiful. There's also Ice Preechaya, I've seen when playing in the ATM Error (movie) and ATM Error 2 (drama series). Not to miss Tor Thanapob, first saw him in Hormones The Series I immediately liked him. 4 big names of Thai stars make this drama worthy of being one of the dramas to be recommended to watch.

Story
For the story, I think this is not a remake drama from Korea. The idea of ??the story taken is very unique about the exchange of body or soul caused by the karma they brought from their previous life (red: renarnation). Combined with the sparkling life of a famous Thai actress who is a bad-tempered idol, as well as the life of a police officer from a special unit who works to eradicate all sorts of crimes, one is the drug problem. I think this drama gives us a lot of lessons, raising current issues in society. At the end of the episode (red: episode 10) there is a pretty deep quotes that is "Does not matter what gender we are but to have someone who loves us, understands the way that we are, and ready to stay beside us forever is enough". In addition we are also exposed from the exchange events of the bodies of Captain Ramin and Petra, that men or women have their respective obligations and rights. We must also respect them (if we are men, we should respect a woman who has sensitive thoughts and senses, and how not to wear them during menstruation and during childbirth, men should respect women and love them, and stop being a womanizer. And also if we women we should also respect men, understand their feelings and when men work we should appreciate what the job is, do not be childish, and another one, if we are a woman and want to cook for our spouse we must be true knowing our own capacity, whether our dishes are really good to eat or not, ex: when Petra cooks for Capt. Ramin and it turns out the food is bad, but because Capt. Ramin loves Petra, he still eats it.)

Act / Cats
For casts, this drama presents the top Thai actors / actresses (Especially for fans of Nadech Kugimiya.) For acting, this drama makes the audience feel up and down. First I was very happy to see Nadech and Yaya acting together as man and woman. But at once it made me feel a little strange when I saw Nadeh had to be a woman and Yaya became a man. When I've started to be comfortable with Nadech's role as a woman and Yaya as a man, this drama gets them into their original role (red: according to gender). And immediately re-exchanged their roles again. Make my feelings stir up. But, I'm also really amazed with Nadech is very good to play the figure of a woman (red: Petra). He acts very natural, although at the beginning when he became Petra I feel a little funny and keep laughing and a little bit weird. But Nadech proves that he is indeed a top Thai actor and can play any role. Ten fingers for Nadech's acting. For Yaya, it was the first time I saw her acting, and it turned out her acting was really good with her extraordinary beauty. Yaya's acting is also very natural, as well as when I see Nadech role as a woman I also feel a little strange when seeing Yaya role as a man (red: Capt. Ramin). Yaya can fight and use the rifle pretty well. Ten fingers for acting Yaya. And at the end of the episode I was made laughing when they swapped bodies again and it turns out that Petra is pregnant and who feels the pregnancy is Capt. Ramin and who felt the pain of giving birth. For acting Ice Preechaya as a gentle woman and very warm, successfully brought good. Different with the last time I saw her in the ATM Error 2 which acts as an independent woman. Tor Thanapob also quite succeeds in playing a good friend and junior, and at the same time being a fellow in love with his fiancé's best friend and senior.

Music
For music, this drama presents good backsong and is nice to hear.

Rewatch
To be honest I do not like the drama long enough but Leh Lub Salub Rarng presents a nice and entertaining spectacle. Make this drama worth a re-watch, but you should really prepare a lot of free time :)

Nadech x Yaya! What more can I ask for? The two are together on and off screen!
Acting:
The chemistry between them is REAL (lol rl romance) and they really convinced me that they were each other when they had switched bodies.
Supporting cast: Everyone gave life to their characters, and they weren't like some random joes who can't act, making it all convincing and enjoyable!
Plot:
The Morals in this series: No matter what gender you are, having someone who loves you for who you are no matter your identity is something precious! To what extent will you go for you loved one?
Spoiler: HE GIVES BIRTH FOR HER! omg like THIS WAS LIT. This is true love man. He was willing to go through something so painful for her.
WHY the 7.5?
7.5: Petra never gets enough courage while in Ramin's body, and does not make an effort to get used to shooting a gun or whatnot which frustrated me. At one point she had a gun, but instead of using it, just put her hands on her head, screamed, and ran off from oncoming gun-fire.
Music:
I found myself dancin my shoulders kinda like Petra when she struts
Rewatch:
This is a family thing. I can imagine three generations sitting down to watch this..minus minors...
It was entertaining, meaningful, and CHEMISTRY OVERLOAD. I SMILED WHENEVER THEY GOT LOVEYDOVEY.

I'm not a fan of Nadech & Yaya, especially not a fan of Nadech. But at least this was a funny watch. They did real kiss (then towards the end they did 2x fake one then real again... that got me a bit confused:) and the lenght of just 10 episodes was a PLUS for me. For mostly I did not like the cast and was not very interested to see something serious with them, so this short comedy was bearable just right.

Even short as it is, you need to wait till it starts happening, which is in episode 4 out of 10.

Gotta say, Nadech acting all girly-girly is finally a role fitting to him. As without much makeup, and doing male face expressions (actually better than real Nadech has) Yaya DOES look more manly than him. That was ingenious to make them do such script. I had great fun, especially with Yaya's acting as a guy (actually she surprised me as an actress, she was not just able to make me laugh by funny overplaying the different sex role, at times she was really convincing) because Nadech as a girl was somehow morelike... scary truth:-) I don't agree that this drama fell short in the romance department in the slightest. Nevertheless, I honestly wish for no more lakorns of this pairing. Yaya hopefully finds someone else to koo-jin with (though after this performance it's almost pitty to let her play "just a girl" again) and Nadech can move to Line TV or GMM25...

Action scenes were a treat and I usually SKIP those in lakorns!:)

It was not just about the action, also the action's meaning. What it meant to be someone's buddy in arms (without words it explained perfectly why would Arkom lie for Ramin for so long, even at his own expense). I just can say, stuff that started happening in epi 8 made my jaw drop and I considered giving even the 10 rating to the lakorn.

It ended too soon. I wasn't keen on last episode and a half. But I think if they'd take the best stuff from epis 4-9 it would make a great oldschool fun movie, like they made years back:-) I also thought Arkom & NokYoong totally adorable, and didn't get the comments bashing NokYoong's character. If there was someone usufferably annoying here, then it was Bookko Thanatchaphan's character or Top Daraneenute's character, definitely not Ice Preechaya's! Same goes for criticizing the lead characters: had they be typical good boy & good girl, most humour scenes and the plot could not work.

Note: This has higher than average rating (also higher than any previous Yaya & Nadech lakorn rating) from me as I usually do suffer BOREDOM through majority amount of lakorns, and this was not the case (here, I had to fastforward the two unwatchable "managers" only). Also, my prominent dislike for Nadech Kugimiya can serve you as a good warrant that any lakorn with decent rating that has him as the lead really had to earn that rating. After all, this was about meaningful stuff about relationships and not birth mystery, family inheritance, forced marriage and amnesia like most lakorns:)

Rewatch value: epi 4-9.

Most favorite scene: Ramin appears at Arkom's doorstep (in Petra's body), telling him categorically that they're both immediatelly leaving together because they need to rescue Ramin (actually helpless Petra:) and all that followed (actually Yaya & Tor scene;)

P.S.: Very interesting that name of the nang'ek was 'Petra'. Of course, everyone mostly called her 'Peta', as thai have general problem with pronouncing.

Umm, one of my least favorite NY dramas, probably because I'm not a fan of comedy. :(

Story: I guess it was a fun storyline. I'm not a fan of comedy, so didn't really like it.

Acting/Cast: Everyone did a great job portraying their charcters. Nadech and Yaya did a great job when swithing bodies! Fun to watch!

Music: I didn't pay attention to the music, so I have no comment.

Rewatch Value: I don't think I'm watching this again. We'll see!

Overall: I gave this a 6.0 because I really don't know how I feel about this drama. I have no comment. I love NY! ❤
