Its really a great drama. Ya, I know it's a long drama. I get a little doubt at first to watch it. But after i finished it, I know I'm not wasting my time.
The acting are great. Yang mi as Bai Qian and Su Su looks like a really different person. Mark Chao as Ye Hua and Mo Yuan really different too. At first I thought Mo Yuan and Ye Hua played by different person. Acting by the supporting role are good too. I really like Vin Zhang here.
Chemistry between both of the main role are great. I love to watch how Ye Hua talk, see, and smile to Bai Qian.
Honestly, Ye Hua is the main reason I hard to move on to other drama. Even when I watch the movie version latter, I still thought of Mark Chao when Bai Qian calling Ye Hua.

I was ready to be enmeshed from all the raves about this drama. Yes, I finished it but admit that half way through, I put it on hold and started another show. It didn’t keep me longing episodes after episodes.

Why? After the first episodes, I was really glued. Then, it became dragging. The male lead was thoughtful but his character is one who’s an introvert and in state of being in trance. Yes, he’s handsome but I would rather him be outspoken, demanding. Female lead was about the same, though very strong at beginning, started to weaken out, and in trance state at many times. Some episodes I felt were total useless and story could of wrapped in way less episodes.

Cinematography as all historical Chinese dramas is beautiful. I was irritated the female lead was in same dress for most of movie, even after rain, many years..lol.

It was good but definitely not memorable for me.

Excellent historical chinese drama

This is my second Chinese historical dramas that I couldn't stop watching for the next series to the end (the first is also played by Yangmi in Legend of Fuyao).
The story line is so complex and wonderfully plotted. And the most attracted for me to keep watching this drama is Yangmi.
She is so beautiful in this drama and played her character spectacularly, together with Mark Chao as Ye Hua.
Their love story is full of tragedies, and the pain continues for three "lifetimes" to get their final reward of happiness.

*Story (10/10)
This drama title "Three Lives Three Worlds: Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms" is just its name suggests, tells the story of two fated gods Ye Hua and Bai Qian
whose love lifes are separated yet bounded to find each other throughout their three lives times, such an exciting and touching journey towards their most
cherishable love life. With such satisfying and beautiful ending, the audiances can finally really appreciate this drama.

*Acting/Cast: (9.5/10)
YangMi portrayed 3 different characters in her three lives.
Yang Mi did very well in portraying her 3 different personalities of her characters - from youthful, mischievous, emotional Si Yin to naive, weak and innocent
Su Su and finally a carefree and full of confidence Bai Qian.
As for Mark, he portrayed beautifully for his two characters Ye Hua & Mo Yuan, who have their set of own characteristics, but his Mo Yuan act is the most impressive.
Together, their chemistry will make audiences excited, thrilled and relieved.
Not to forget the other casts are memorable as well with their acting such as Zhang Bin Bin, Vengo Gao etc making this drama that much more enjoyable.

First let me say I am addicted to this drama. I have watched it daily and repeatedly since it was recommended to me. I can't get enough of it and want more. The cast are incredible and the story line beautiful. I cry, I laugh, I dream of immortality. I want a continuation of this story as there is definitely more to grow on...same cast included. I don't know what I will do once this is no longer on Netflix. I guess I will have to add this to my wish list as a gift or save up my coins because it's a lil pricey on Amazon.

I need to be in the mood to watch a certain TV series, drama or movie. A few years ago, I began to watch Eternal Love, but not being in the right mood, I dropped it after episode 1 or 2 and archived it.

Fast forward to this year. Still difficult to get over the first episode, found the decisions of the female character, in the first arc of the story, really childish and, more often than not, harmful for the people she cared about. I did continue this time though, who doesn’t love a nine-tailed fox?

What I liked:

As the show progressed, it hooked me. Story is simple, straight forward and most important, at the correct pacing. Bit dragged at the end, but it is a romantic drama after all.

Loved Ye Hua *sigh*. All the qualities you can wish for in a man, Ye Hua has them. I don’t think he is handsome, but he definitely became sexy and attractive as the story progressed. I know he might be hated for some decisions, but he did try to save lives by adopting them and the attitude. I’m in agreement with his behavior.

Most of the time and after 15 episodes or so, loved Bai Qian as well. Not really the mother type though, is she? Her child seemed a bit neglected by her. This I cannot put on her being a nine-tailed fox, since her own mom was quite concerned about her daughter. Other than that… she matures into a bad ass and the OTP is perfect.

What I disliked:

Dong Hua Di Jun/Bai Feng Jiu story. I couldn’t relate to these 2, couldn’t get the chemistry. Maybe the chemistry of the OTP was so awesome, that I didn’t have the energy to root for other pairings.

Demon Lord…. You really a demon? Seemed pretty much to serve all the others, incapable of any decision making. It was a miracle that he was the demon lord for such a long time.

What I could get over:

Time measurement and how different kids of the same age grew. Bad CGI.

I will not rewatch it full, but I will definitely rewatch favorite scenes.

Absolutly beautiful romance from the main lead

The plot:
Honestly don't watch this drama for the plot even if the plot is good. It's not the reason why you should watch this.

The cast and chemistry:
Fisrt of all the two main lead ! It's the thing I was the most excited about. Bai Qian played by Yang Mi was modern female lead, not manipulated by other people than herself. Even if the drama is historical, she portrayed her character as modern and mature. The choices she made weren't the best but she had noble thoughts or inside turmoils dictating her decisions. She is beautiful, clever and powerful and i think it what made her so interesting to watch.
The male lead was awesome too, he was played by Mark Chao who is an amazing actor. His role was amazing because he knew his woman was powerful and he didn't try to babie her into not using her power.
Their chemestry was absolutly beautiful and ethereal to watch, I hope this two get another role someday in a drama.

For the other roles, i thought they were unecessary and their scene were too long for the uselessness. Between one toxic couple, even if I really like Vin Zhang, his role was boring and useless and his wife was a psycho. For the couple of Dilraba, whom I really like, i didn't like her in this. Her couple was ridiculous. Vengo Gao, is too bad at acting and his role was so useless it was boring.

The rest of the couple and their intrigues were there to fill the episodes between the plot of the two main leads and they werent interesting. But you really should watch it for the two main leads.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama so very berry much.... Never bored watch and re-watch it... ^_^ But i only loved re-watch it from ep 30++ when Ye Hua (YH) and Bai Qian (BQ) meet again with each other.

Really like the story, chemistry between the character, especially YH and BQ. How strong optioned BQ balance with the calm of YH. Also love the cuteness of Xiao A Li. ;)

Usually I can't bear to watch the very long episode. But with this drama I just can't stop watching... No wonder this drama always get the highest rating and recommendation from everyone.

Overall really can't find the exact words to describe it. Just love everything from the beginning to the end, especially from ep 30 till the end. Everything so perfect start from the casting, story line & development each character, costume choice until the setting and the soundtrack.

Song: Really love all the song.

Re-watch: Oh hell yeah!!! :3

Let me start by saying. I have never thought I'd watch a chinese costume drama let alone dramas with more than 50+ episodes.

Eternal love is truly captivating. After watching this drama I was introduced to the wonders of xianxia. I'be never been more addicted.

The story was captivating -- romanctic and yet heartbreaking. The arcs though it took me a while to get used to, made sense at the end.

The actors were surprising. I haven't seen their works before and If o did I may have forgotten but their roles here made a mark that I wont forget. My favorite is Ye Hua. How truly perfect he is.

The music was perfect. I loved the OST. It really did justice.

I am 100% in love with Eternal Love. I will definitely watch this again.

Having watched Eternal love of dream before watching Eternal love there are differences to the story.

Both stories are centered around the female lead primarily of the Bai/ Fox Clan.

The flaw with stories is how they jump time, its more voiced that a character is going thru a t trial, or that 1 day is 1 year etc.

In terms of the story and plot of Eternal Love it appeared more fluid than Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book 2020 version.

Both stories ended on positive notes, and in some cases happy endings.

Changing casts for Eternal Love vs Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book/ aka Eternal love of Dream did make inconsistencies to the story, if it was intended to be a sequel there appeared to be major flaws, as the stories can overlap, there was no need to. (I.E. Wayne Liu's character is Kunlun, but hes demon prince in Love of Dream)

Eternal love is more on a serious story note than Eternal love of dream in terms of the main character.
Did we need Dong Hua *& Bai Fung Jei 's story in Eternal Love, no. It seemed more like a filler/side story that drama tend to over use. Like how in Love designer drama, personally I didn't care for the BFF's romance, at many times it became annoying, Eternal Love didn't get to the annoying state with Vengo + Dilraba's characters, but from a script/story standpoint probably unnecessary, given that they ended up with their own story plot in Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book/ Eternal Love of Dream, where they dive much deeper, and didn't even have any continuation from Eternal Dream.

Su Jin/ and Xuan No's roles did get annoying over time, Bambi Zhu did play similar beotch/ jealous type role in Sweet Dreams also,, while understandably Su Jin's role was she'd do anything for love, even though Yeh Hua basically figured her out the whole time, but gave her space.

Overall, it was very enjoyable to watch, more so that Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book, even though I've been watching these fantasy dramas purely to see Dilraba's performance.

Okay, I almost gave up trying to find a wuxia that would hooked me in. I tried a lot and most of them started good, some even better, but they all fizzle in the middle. Other times, I would watch until the end with the help of a fast forward button just because I have to see how the main couple ended. However, Eternal Love is different, its starts slow, just a bit of frisson here and there, it slowly builds up the tempo until it felt like you can't breathe without it, and then you reach the climax, and then it comes shattering down, but for a few minutes, the entire process repeats itself. Haha.

I guess one of the best things about this drama is that its well written and properly paced. The actors and actresses are great too, especially Mark Chao for having the best face angle for a kiss that you will end up rewatching all his kissing scenes. I was initially annoyed at Yang Mi's voice but I like how she transitioned from an immature Si Yin to a well respected Bai Qian. Dijun is also one of the best characters for being insanely smart, which is also a big hindrance for him to open up his heart. Also, as much as I love Dilireba as an actress, this drama showed how limited she still is and needs tons of workshops to shape her up for such a demanding role.

58 episodes was just a breeze because this is such a good show, losing some sleep is worth it. However, I have to caution everyone that after watching this drama, everything else you've seen will definitely look mediocre compared to this gem.

Almost perfect love story :-)

I love the storyline! Almost complete package :-) the two main role actor/actress really deserve two thumbs up! The production was really did a great job, the only thing that (for me) was missing in this series were the original soundtrack (Ost) maybe if they put more “sentimental” music that really touches the audience heart its perfect 10 score.

The two main role really give life to the story, from beginning to end. Even though the story evolves in 3 different stages but the writers and the directors really execute it well. I will watch it again.

I began watching this at the behest of my friends. I will warn it is confusing to follow to begin with with all its different worlds and realms, and beings. It really took me a good 10 or so episodes before I started to invest and get into this. But after finishing it, and the emptiness I felt afterwards, and OH THE TEARS I cried? This is by far one of the best C-dramas I've seen in a LONG time. And I doubt I'll ever find a c-drama that comes close to this, perhaps because it's my first... perhaps also these things I loved/liked about it

What I loved/liked:
- OMG Ye Hua why you so hot, so brooding, so wonderfully devoted and amazing??
- Bai Qian wasn't just a damsel in distress, she was strong, courageous and OH HOW LOVED HER REVENGE WHEN SHE GOT HER MEMORIES BACK!
- the complicated storyline which left me guessing and wondering what would happen next!
- the side stories of her niece were not too bad
- the beautiful costumes, hair styles
- the amazing OST that still makes me clutch my chest
- the scenary WOAH
- the chemistry between Ye Hua and Bai Qian is AMAZING
- they don't ignore the son, they include him! He is so adorable and sweet!

What I disliked:
- I must admit I hated how the story ended with her niece and the white haired guy.
- lots of story lines to follow so can be confusing

I can't think of what else to dislike about this! It was just so well! Still trying to fill the void left behind :(
